Talk about a throw back store. Entering through these doors is like entering a time warp into the…read moredays of old time hardware establishments that just don't exist anymore. The town of Cape Charles is a charmer and I love that this stores has been really untouched for decades. But that also presents some with some practical issues for customers too! They also have Watson's Realty out of the location, but I really could not tell you what type of real estate business is conducted. Parking is back-in angle parking off Mason street and usually not an issue in locating a space. The sidewalks were clean and trash cans around around and were within their boundaries. Watson's does a nice job of pulling things out for a sidewalk display to draw customers into shop. Once entering you will feel the time warp of dark paneling, red and white checkered board tile that is completely warn down in some spots, high ceilings, peg board displays, old and very worn wooden display cases. I am sure that I missed something, but you get the idea. You will also see tons of merchandise packed in the large store that spans two rooms. It's organized I suppose, but that is a matter of opinion of what your definition of organization may be. I n my opinion it's cluttered. A few men were around in the center area setting down. At no time did I see anyone on the floor prepared to answer questions. On a few occasions I was very close to the gentlemen and browsing and was never asked if I needed help. This is a one star deduction in my book. I saw signs for fishing and hunting licenses that may be of interest to many in the area. They have inventory of both guns, rods and tackle for your fishing and hunting needs. There claim to fame may just be the bicycle department. Large inventory of lots of parts and they also sale new bikes as well. I just love those bike with the huge tires on them that looks like that Batmobile on two wheels. Although I think the store is a charmer and looks like something out of a1950's movie set that does not necessarily warrant high marks. Service is key into why I am pegging them at a 3. Organization although cluttered to me would not be to others who are regular shoppers, or the clerks who could provide assistance. Stop in and check them out, they will have what you want I bet.

Called today about a beach tent. Was told they had many to pick from, $25-$100+ for a pop up…read more Checked Amazon and pop ups were $30-$40. When I walked in a bunch of old men sitting around didn't even ask if I wanted help. Typical Cape Charles lazy customer service. What a lousy place!

When you are ready to check out there is a cashier named Ms Pat who may just actually be the happiest person on the planet. She is the epitome of kindness and graciousness. You would swear that have actually known her all your life. I HATE to physically shop, but I can go to this ACE everyday if I have to. Sorry Chic Fila there is one place that may have you beat in terms of customer service! (Ace on John Tyler in Williamsburg Virginia)

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I took a snowblower in for repair on January 28th…read more I was told that it would take 3-4 weeks. It's now been over 11 weeks and I'm still waiting. They never bothered to inform me that they might be running behind. I could understand that. The only way I could secure the repair status was to physically go to the repair desk. Their first excuse was my snowblower work order was put behind generators that came in after my snowblower. The response I got was "well, it didn't snow"....Well I don't think we lost power. When I visited the store recently to check the status I was told that NOW, my snowblower repair is behind lawn mowers that came in weeks after my snowblower. Unbelievable. I guess if I wait long enough, my work order will be superseded by leaf blowers. Unacceptable customer service. If I could give them zero stars, I would.
