Always friendly and helpful staff. Wendy, general manager cares about her customers. My go to hardware store, way more helpful than big box!

I went in for a fishing license and sat behind someone at the window for almost 15 minuets. I…read morepatiently waited for them to finish about "people who have died and what they bought at the store that day". Once I was finally recognized, she informed me it'd be $48 for a fishing license, which I only had $43. She suggested I buy something from the store and get $5 cash back, then I'd be able to buy the fishing license. I thought, that's a great idea, I'll go buy something small and this will all get taken care of. I found something small to buy and would give me some cash back. I go to pay for it, tell the cashier that I need cash back, then he runs my card as credit. I say "actually I need that run as debit, I need cash back remember?" he replies, "oh, well, your card isnt setup as debit" I say, " you mean the one I have in my hand that says DEBIT on the front?" his answer: "Yes. That card isnt set up to be run as debit" I ask "so what can be done now?" to which he says back, "have a great day, oh and you can get the fishing licenses online" I'd rather be kicked in the head by a mule than go back to that store. I'd rather drive my rusty ol' pick up truck into a Crisco factory at full speed and die in a grease fire, than go back to Harrows Home Center. If it were up to me, if I were given an option, I'd drive my boat into the middle of the Chesapeake Bay, drill a hold in the hull and sink to the bottom while cursing the ground that Harrows built on. They say time is a great healer, I say I cannot look forward enough to the day that Harrows is closed.

Not once did they help me. They walk by on their phones, it's not like they were doing anything. The general Lowe's customer service experience across Lowe's is a problem. I mean you then ask for help and now I'm the burden?? Like you are on the clock. Managers need to get on this. This is sad. Also there are a lack of available dry wall carts and flat carts.

Hopefully this is the Poor Boys that was contracted out through Lowe's. I hate to leave a bad…read morereview for the wrong company. Here goes....I purchased an exterior back door, accent window above the door and storm door from Lowe's. Poor Boys came out for the job. First issue the door leaked inside my home. They came out said there was no corking. Second issue, the storm door screen defected. They replaced the storm door. Now the storm door leaked. They came out again, said installer didn't cork around the door. Third issue which prompted me to leave this review, the exterior door sticks and I have to really push on it to open. Poor Boys came out yet again, made adjustments but ultimately said the reason for the sticking is the type of door I selected and the way the sun beams makes the door swell. Ok....so I guess I just have to live with it. But wait, there's more. My neighbor also had an exterior door installed and I noticed that the hinges were carved out on her door. Mine were not. SMH. By the time I realized this my warranty was expired. I still reached out to Lowe's who agreed to have the installer come back. The installer stood me up again. Oh, I forgot to mention through out this whole process Poor Boys stood me up 3 times. 3 times I took off from work. So this last time they were supposed to come out, they gave me 2 time frames. So, naturally I waited until 2:30. Lowes called back and said they came at 3:00. But also said that cutting the hinges on the door is not part of the installation!!!! OMG!!!!! That's probably why my door sticks. I WOULD NEVER GET ANY MORE WORK DONE THROUGH LOWE'S, IF THEY ARE SENDING POOR BOYS. ALSO, THEY CHANGED THEIR NAME TO HOME INSTALLATION EXPERTS. BE WARE!!
