Connected to the Harley Davidson Museum sits a restaurant with hearty food, good drinks, and nice staff. They even give the kids an ice cream with their meal! I got the chicken sandwich with a slaw on it, it was a thigh piece, juicy, pretty good. I also got a prosecco. My child got the kids chicken tenders and fruit, he enjoyed them. My partner got the chili, said it was thick and delicious. We also got the cheese curds as an appetizer, all curds are good to me! Our waitress was very nice! I took my parents to Harley Davidson museum recently so we came in here for lunch after. It was a Tuesday so they had tacos and margaritas on special. The restaurant itself is huge! Lots of space and plenty of tables. Love the bike up front and views of the river. We started with a pretzel appetizer. Very good but could use more cheese sauce. My mom got chili which was a huge portion and tasty. I had a blend of two salads, and it was subpar. The green avocado dressing was flavorful. My son's Mac and cheese was probably the best thing as far as food! Our waitress was friendly and prompt. The bathrooms are upstairs and the women's had a sign saying it was closed so this was a bit frustrating as we had to wait to use the family restroom multiple times. So here's the story. My father-in-law and I were at this restaurant yesterday for bike night for the Harley museum event. We decided to sit down and Order two brats with fries and a beer. It took so long for us to get our order. As I finally got up after waiting over an hour they finally came out in the nick of time. We weren't angry just a little disappointed in how long it took for such a simple meal. As far as the quality of the meal goes the fries were quite tasty. The brat however was very disappointing and actually disgusting looking. The pickles on the side were all so quite soggy and gross looking. When I finally bid into this questionable object my senses were correct. Quite disappointing and not tasty. The waitress was very kind and apologized by bringing out to on the house beers. Very nice of her. Very sweet. The overall aesthetic and Ambience of this place was quite nice. It gave the sense of this is a high quality restaurant. A place of fine dining and tasty food with great beverages. Well as far as the food goes so far our thoughts are that it was quite disappointing minus the fries and beer. After I got home I woke up in the middle of the night and had to shit my brains out. I new immediately that the brat came back for revenge of my opinions towards its undesirable and unquenchable ability to satisfy an appetite. I clung to that porcelain throne for dear life and exercised the demon. At first I was actually quite nervous as my stomach was in a lot of pain. Went here for some fun on the last day of summer vacation, and back to school tomorrow, Food was excellent, I had the tuna steak sandwich, very good. Husband only had a bowl of chili which was very hardy and filling. Kids are very fussy but they have a nice kids menu and our server was very generous with the substitutions. I've been to the museum a couple of times now but have never tried the restaurant. I was surprised at the multiple options and different varieties of dishes. They had a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes for those who are looking for them, and they were clearly labeled as well. I got to try the Cajun Chicken Club, which was good. Today they had their semi annual factory outlet sale which was packed with people. You would think that working adequate staff in restaurant Would be critical. Staff is always friendly and accommodating with any food requests specially for me since I have a few food allergies. While bikes night is not all year round it is a lot of fun when in season. The food was pretty good - no complaints. I had the pulled pork with slaw and crispy fried onions and batter fries. Tony had the chili. We both had a lot to eat, very filling. This is a nice space for dining, overlooking the Milwaukee River. The service was not so good. Not her fault, but our server had an emergency and had to leave and said her manager would be helping us. Nobody ever came back to check on us, provide a to-go container for leftovers or give us our bill. It was really hard to find someone to flag down. There were 5 of us on Friday night. The restaurant was not crowded at all. Our server was extremely slow. It took over 5 minutes to get our drinks. Splenda was asked for and it wasn't till the second tea that she went and got it. I'll check back in whenever we get our Fish fry 's To continue all 5 of us had the Fish Fry for $19.99. It came with 3 pieces of fish, slaw, French fries and a corn bread muffin. There were lots of fries. The fish was all crust. When you peeled it off it was a tiny bit of fish. David and I went to Motor Bar after visiting the Harley Davidson Museum. There was a 15 minute wait even though there were plenty of open tables inside. Probably a staffing issue, so it was no problem. The vibes inside the restaurant were super cool, and our waiter was very nice and attentive! It took about 30 minutes to get our food which was surprising because we were there at 2pm (kinda a random time). I got the nachos as my meal even though they were on the appetizer menu. They were yummy with plenty of toppings so every chip was covered in meat and/or cheese. The real bummer of the meal was David's burger. He got it medium and it came out sooo overcooked. It was so dry and it tasted burnt because of how much they over cooked it. If it wasn't for the barbecue sauce and other toppings, the burger would have been inedible. If we go back, we will definitely get their meats and not the burger. I will say it was a perfect spot to grab lunch after you visit the museum, since it's right next to the building. She ate all the Burt's ends and didn't share- if that tells you something. I had the CAJUN CHICKEN SANDWICH- 12.95. That was good and a full portion. The sauce cheese bacon combo was spot on. We stopped here on Father's day after visiting the museum. We heard there was a special for fathers at the restaurant but when we asked our server they just said "it's a brat plate". Not many details shared so dad chose something else on the menu. Our server also kept shouting at us - it wasn't that loud in the restaurant so it was just jarring. It took a bit for us to get our drinks. The "chaser" with the bloody was less than half of the glass it was served in. For the price, they could at least fill the small glass full with Miller Lite. The portions were okay but the quality didn't really match the price. The brisket had a lot of fat and gristle - left a good amount on the plate. The mac and cheese wasn't that exciting oreven that cheesy. Cornbread was dry - could've used a side of butter or something. Heard the pulled pork was good but not as good as other BBQ places in the area. Best thing about our visit was the gal who dropped off our food. She seemed to like what she did and was good at it! This was my first visit to Moto. We went to the Vintage Fest, my kiddo got hungry so we took a break from shopping and decided to stop in for lunch. Service was great, loved the space....but the food was middle of the road. My kid got chicken tenders. They clearly were the type that come frozen in a large bag, the subpar fritter breaded type. While he was eating he stopped chewing, made a face, then told me the tenders were hard. Seemed like they had been cooked earlier in the day and sat in a warmer. He liked the fries but I was not a fan. I had the bbq brisket sandwich. It came with fried onions that were HARD and inedible. Seems like a lot of their fried food is precooked and sits in a warmer. That's the only explanation I could come up with because freshly cooked food isn't lukewarm or dry. It blew my mind because it took 25 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was not that busy. The brisket was the only decent thing, bbq sauce was too sweet, the roll I didn't eat because it was gummy from the bbq sauce. My fries were lukewarm. Stopped by recently for a Saturday evening dinner. The first thing that surprised me was how slow they were for a Saturday evening. They had live music and there were very few people in the expansive dining room. So, if you're looking for Saturday evening dinner and don't have reservations anywhere, I imagine you could get in here no problem. My dining companion and I ordered bourbon old fashioneds which are served in the Wisconsin fashion (sweet, sour, press). For a starter, we shared their soft pretzels. They were everything a freshly made pretzel ought to be and served with beer cheese and mustard. We could have used double the beer cheese and half the mustard (and would order that way next time!). Delish. For my entree I ordered their bbq chicken salad, The chicken was great, drizzled in their spicy and delicious bbq sauce on a bed of greens, corn, and black beans tossed with a chipotle ranch. It was a solid salad. The service was lovely and the live music was a blues band and they were wonderful. Get to it! read more

I think it was during a radio promotion a few months back that I heard that MOTOR Bar & Restaurant has an all you can eat fish fry on Fridays. A Friday finally occurred where I didn't necessarily need to head home right away after work, so I motored (see what I did there?) over to MOTOR to give it a try. I will admit, when the plate arrived at my table I was a little disappointed to see cornmeal breading on the fish. I know some cornmeal breaded things can be good, but I've had a recent string of bad experiences with cornmeal breaded cheese curds and I was a little surprised that MOTOR wasn't playing on their strong Wisconsin and Milwaukee ties by having a beer batter for the fish instead. Man, I regret being disappointed at all. The cornmeal was a perfect compliment for the cod. I'm not sure if the breading itself was what had a little kick or if whatever they dipped the cod in before breading it gave it a kick, but the combination of the fish, the slight heat, and the cornmeal was something I didn't know I needed in my life and I'm glad it now is. Along with the fish, both the fries and cornbread (which is way better than rye bread and you'll never convinced me otherwise) can be all you can eat. I'm sure it behooves them to do that because they're spending less money on fries and cornbread compared to the fish, but as somebody who really enjoyed both the battered fries and the soft and slightly sticky cornbread, this meal was just heaven from first bite to last bite of all three items. I absolutely plan on coming back for the fish fry (it's $15.95 as of 4/21/2023). I'm also intrigued by some of their barbecue items and wouldn't mind checking out the all you can eat barbecue on Saturdays. read more

I was visiting the nearby Harley Davidson Museum when I discovered the place. I wound up ordering a pulled pork sandwich with fries and lemonade. The lemonade as fresh, and they actually give you a decent size glass. It was so good. Oh and that sandwich... I am drooling just thinking about it. The word perfect comes to mind, also I swear the best fries I ever had in my life. Next time I get to Milwaukee, I am returning to explore more of that wonderful menu. Chicken wings and pulled pork sandwiches were both dry and overcooked. Cod fish was too salty and fried hard even after a second attempt to correct this fish it was even worse. Stopped in for lunch on a Monday and was surprised to see so many people here. It turns out a big tour group was here taking up two or three large tables. This place is plenty big so that was not an issue. Our waitress was super friendly. The menu is pretty typical for a place that caters to motorcycle fans - lots of barbecue and burgers. I ordered their special Guinness wings which were very good but very pricey (actually everything on the menu seemed pricey but that is apparently the case at many restaurants these days). My dad got the beef brisket sandwich which he like a lot. It was so big he took half home for dinner! Overall a good place with lunch near downtown that is easy to get to with lots of free parking. Visited Motor today and ended up walking out without eating there. My friend and i, since June, made Motor a must stop, visiting almost weekly. We entered and told firstly there would be a 30 minute wait, then the hostess let a single woman have a seat immediately, which we found out that this single woman was an employee, there to eat, not to work. During all interactions the hostess was rude, something we never experienced before. The hostess when we asked about this brought our wait time to 10 minutes and then sat us right away. Motor has a new menu and my friend has dairy allergies with the new menu doesn't fit her needs, someone came over and tried to help, without any luck. We really loved Motor but the love affair just ended I am sorry to say. read more

This restaurant is very convenient if you are at the HarleybDavidson Museum. When we were here, it was absolutely packed. But we waited and as expected, service was slow. We understood considering how busy it was. I ordered a burger and I thought the flavor was bland. I used a lot more ketchup and mustard on it than I normally would. The fries were soggy and seemed like they were sitting around a while. They have a full bar. I ordered a local beer to Milwaukee and thought it was very fresh and happy. It was great. I wish I remembered the name of it now. Maybe the food is better on a regular day. It is ok if you are hungry and at the Museum. Besides that, I would recommend going a couple miles to the downtown Milwaukee for a lot more restaurants. read more

We had the Ho ho ho Loco Moco and 2 coffees. $21. Less than 48 hours ago we had the Loco Moco at the Hilo Zippy's on the Big Island. So, we were really excited to see a Loco Moco once we got to the MOTOR bar and grill so we could compare. From the description on the menu it seemed to us that the HD version would top the Hawaiian chain restaurant. But, sadly, what ended up being served to us was the best example of a 1 star breakfast we have ever had. From now on our reviews will refer to this breakfast as the low bar to which other meals will be compared. The rice was basmati style with some being undercooked and crunchy, the burger (we asked to be cooked "medium") had a dry sawdusty texture, the egg was waaaaay overcooked (I mean waaaaaaaay overcooked), but the worst part was the gravy which tasted almost exclusively like salt. Plus!!!! No Mac salad!!!! Plus the service was not that great as the waitress was slow and had an expression on her face as if we were bothering her to be eating in the restaurant. So, if you're in the area the museum is awesome!! But, not the food. read more
