I have been trying to get here for years with no luck because the east side area has no parking and I just get fed up and leave. Good thing I never got parking because they moved to north avenue a couple years ago and I would have not got the BBQ. The place is basically take out with 3 stools in the front window. The service was friendly and quick with my 1/2 slab order. The half slab is 6 bones and spare rib style, not St Louis meaty style with the tips left on. My two sides were the beans and the Mac and cheese. The ribs were seasoned nicely with a nice bark, pull clean off the bone with that nice chew that I like so not the soft steamed to death completely fall apart meat texture. The ribs were moist, not dry at all and very tasty. I'm a Bbq hound so I have Bbq all over my area and the country on my travels and one thing is noticeable at lots of Bbq places is that they focus on the meats being good and the sides come second because they are not as good as the meats. This place is not one of those places because the beans were amazing and nothing like any Bbq place because they had the feel of soul food vs Bbq with whole beans and meat mixed in almost like a chili with a light sweet flavor and a heat finish, very original and very delicious/good. The Mac and cheese looked great with a super creamy sauce. The pasta was cooked past al dente but not to mush with a nice thick creamy cheese sauce with an average cheese flavor, my personal opinion is use an aged cheese in the recipe to boost the cheese flavor but it was good and better than average like most places. Overall this place is serving great ribs and sides but it didn't dethrone my favorite Bbq place but it's doing a great job.

If you are craving bbq, look no further. We came by on a Friday and I was able to order the smoked salmon special, which was delicious. I also got to try the ribs and let me tell ya, that was fantastic. You don't even need the sauce - the ribs are juicy and are seasoned so beautifully. For sides, I got to try the mac n cheese (creamy and heated up well), potato salad (fine), and house baked beans (our personal fav). I'm looking forward to the next time I order from here, since I apparently need to try the cornbread! By the way, ordering in person at the counter was a very efficient process - all 3 of our orders were ready in about 10 minutes - and the staff was friendly as well. Two things to note: 1) This is more of a carry out place as there are only a handful of seats indoors. Sometimes there are tables outside if the weather is nice. 2) They close at 7pm.

The star of the show for me was the ribs, they were delicious! The brisket was good too but the ribs are what I'll be ordering again. I'd have given a 5 star if I'd only tried the ribs as the brisket was sliced pretty thick but still good. All in all I'll definitely be coming back and recommend trying the ribs! Just worth mentioning, Heavens Table doesn't do carryout orders over the phone, but we drove there, ordered, and picked up our food and it took no time at all and had no hiccups! They were polite and quick

So nice to have solid, good and independent bbq on this side of town. This place gets busy fast. We've come on the weekends during what we thought were non-peak hours but no matter the time, there are people in line. Sometimes wall to wall. And you know why? Because they are good people with pretty awesome food. Just the smell alone makes you happy and then when you actually get to taste it? Oh mama. We got the Mosley on this trip with Ribs and Chicken. Both were outstanding. For sides we opted for the Mac & Cheese and the Baked Beans. The Mac & Cheese was velvety, creamy with just a hint of hot sauce. Just the way we like it. The beans, had great flavor, I just happen to like them broken down a little more. Still good though especially with the awesome bits of meat in there. Always get some sausage. It's good but it is spicy so know that going in. The flavor and smoke on it- perfect. Dip it in the bbq sauce with each bite!

Great BarBQ spot. Been here now 2 times and every time it was a hit. The chicken, pulled pork, and pork were great, as well as there sides. A note: Their sides are generous. I pick up for myself and the sides last me 2 days. I have to return to get the sausage, they were out last time I went. Parking might be a little bit of a challenge, but I take the challenge on for HTB's food! Go get yours!

I never had a chance to try Heaven's Table when they were in the Crossroads Collective downtown, so I jumped at the opportunity when the moved near 55th and North since that's on my way home from work. I ordered a full rack of ribs with a side of mac and cheese and a piece of cornbread. The ribs don't come with BBQ sauce on them, but you honestly don't need it. The rub that they use has the perfect flavor and the ribs themselves are moist and meaty. I'd go back for these anytime. The mac and cheese and cornbread were excellent choices and also worth getting again. I'm looking forward to stopping often to try some of their other offerings, particularly the jerk chicken tenders that they have as a special on Thursdays. They're a great addition to this area.

If you need convincing that this place is good, you need do no more than step in the door and enjoy the delicious smells! The pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and everything we've had is wonderful! The seasoning on the brisket might be the best I've had anywhere. I highly recommend going early to avoid them running out of items you were dreaming of!

Mac n Cheese & Grits to go

It is very hard to find decent BBQ around town unless it's out of a food truck and I am so glad we accidentally found Heaven's Table BBQ during our outing. My girlfriend and I wanted to order some food to take back home to our husbands and kids and we each ordered "The Mosley's" which comes with two choices of meat and two sides. I got the tips and chicken with mac n cheese & grits. My friends got the ribs and chicken with mac n cheese & coleslaw. For my platter, it is made for two but I would say it could feed at least 4 people. The price is affordable for the food so no complaints with the portion and definitely worth the price. The tips were super tender and juicy, I am not sure what kind of seasoning was sprinkled on top but man, it was delicious. The chicken was a bit overcooked so it was dry but the seasoning made up for it and dipping it in BBQ sauce totally saved it! The mac n cheese tasted like Velveeta but I love valveeta so it didn't bother me at all that it was anything different or out of the ordinary. I originally wanted the greens, I LOVE GREENS! But they were sold out so I decided to try the Grits for the first time ever and it was a "meh" for me. Again, it was my first time trying it and it reminds me of a chunky oatmeal type texture but buttery and savory flavor. HT BBQ is definitely a place to try out as they offer small portions. I do want to go back and try their greens and brisket so yes, there will definitely be a next time.

Heaven's Table has some legit BBQ. I'm a southerner, grew up around BBQ. There's not enough of it in Milwaukee. This is the real deal, nice and smoky meat. The brisket had just the right amount of fattiness, as well as a fair amount of peppercorns. The sauce is a perfect complement but it's not the star. The chicken is also succulent and smoky. The sides are tasty. The greens are nicely seasoned with a good amount of fatty pork. The mac and cheese is good if less of a standout. The portions of meat are generous. I was a fan pre-COVID but the more socially distanced space at Crossroads is inviting, and there are also delivery options now. Heaven's Table graces the space with the smell of smoky meat. Great option among all the food-hall choices.

I've been wanting to try this spot since they opened on north Ave and FINALLY got there. I got brisket & dirty rice. My friend was like 15 minutes late picking it up so I was a little worried but it was still delicious. The meat was juicy and super flavorful. I've never had dirty rice before but I really liked it. Definitely want to go on a Friday and try their smoked salmon.

We ordered the rib tips. We received copious amounts of perfectly seasoned meat. Delicious and a great value. Highly recommend in Crossroads Collective. Our rating: 8.6 4/5 stars on yelp. Would we return? Absolutely!!!

The guy working the counter was doing a great job and gave me a rib tip sample that was delicious. I ordered the rib dinner that comes with two sides for $20, unfortunately they were out of greens so Mac and beans would be my sides. I always say if you smell smoke/grill in the air outside it's most like going to be good and I smelled the grill as I walked up, not a wood smoke smell. My rib dinner looked good that was only 5 bones with a nice bark. The ribs were moist/tender fall odd the bone with a backyard grill flavor, not a wood smoke flavor. The rids were delicious and tasty with the seasoned rub. The beans were good but very sweet. The Mac and cheese was over cooked to mush, not Al dente and slightly creamy with a small cheese flavor topped with cheese. The Mac and cheese could have been seasoned better like the ribs but still good. Overall I had a great lunch and I like the grill flavor because most places use wood smoke so I like this style to break up bbq from time to time. I would definitely stop back for more of the menu.

They haven't been open long, so be patient as they work to get into a groove. I've had their brisket, pulled pork, rib tips, baby back ribs, chicken, and sausage and all have been delicious! I still want to try their smoked turkey and turkey leg, but their meats have been among the best BBQ I've had! The chicken, in particular far exceeded my expectations! Their sides are solid. I noticed an improvement in texture with the baked beans feom the first visit to most recent visit, but I liked the mac-n-cheese better on the first visit. It was creamier and better seasoned the first time. Their creamy Cole slaw and greens were other sides I enjoyed. The fries and potato salad were good, but didn't stand out to me. They did not have cornbread on the menu. You can order sandwiches, dinners, or 2 and 3-meat combos. Important things to note: 1. They have a dining room. 2. They will put sauce on most, if not all, of their smoked meats, so if you want no sauce or sauce on the side, then tell them when you order. I am a smoked BBQ purist. I want to taste the rub and their smoking method. Their sauce is good, but their meats are great and don't need sauce. 3. They don't have a website, and it's not easy to find their menu on their Facebook page. 4. They are open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner. 5. They accept cash and cards. Definitely check this place out because their BBQ is really good! I will be back!

I started cutting into the brisket and was immediately turned off. This was like cutting into a piece of beef jerky. It was try and tough and I shouldn't have even put it in my mouth, but I reluctantly did! Oh wait, this isn't that forum in that adult magazine.... But Yuck Yuck Yuck to that dry meat. Luckily, there was a LOT of brisket so I fished around and cut a piece from the other end and wow... BUTTER! This was some of the juiciest brisket I've had. The fat rendered nicely and it was still meaty. SOOOO good. Yes, this good part was connected to the bad part. The $6 add on for the sausage was pretty good as well, as was the side of Mac n Cheese. With the add on, it's probably a shareable plate for most people, including me these days. Parking is limited as it's kind of in a neighborhood, and the Redbar itself has a locals, dive-bar vibe, which isn't a bad thing. Just something you should know! Cheap beers though!

Well I'm definitely doing the rib tips but it was too early because they just went on the grill, see my pictures so I would have to stop back later in the day. 3 hours went by so I went back and asked if he still had some rib tips left and he said yes so I'm down with that. He is there Tuesday to Saturday 10:30 to 4pm he says. The rib tips looked amazing on the grill and I took a picture so you could see the before and after pictures of the cooked rib rips. I ordered the meat only for $10 because the sides didn't interest at all and did my car smell so good so I pulled over because I couldn't wait to try them. The rib tips had a nice looking bark that was seasoned nicely and tasty I thought. The rib meat had that little chew that I like because I don't like the mush fall off the bone meat. The rib tips were meaty and not all cartilage with most of the meat chopped off like some places. The meat was very tasty with that bark and a deep grilled flavor that I really liked, like a backyard bbq. I really like that he uses charcoal to cook his food because it's so hard to find places that cook with charcoal anymore and he seems like a like a really nice guy and he let me take my pictures which helps his business. I didn't even use the bbq sauce because the meat stands on its own by the way.
