Absolutely amazing BBQ and very generous portions. We sampled the ribs, chicken, and brisket. The ribs and chicken were phenomenal. The brisket wasn't tender enough to our liking, but we will have to try it again. read more

Holy smokes (pun intended). This place is the shizzle. We were hangin out at Vennture brewing and needed a light snack. I ordered two bbq baskets thinking I'd need two (feeding 3), and holy crap they blew my expectations out of the water. The fries were amazing - they put some seasoning on top that was spectacular. With the bowls we got sausage (delicious) and pork (also delicious) and the portion size was huge, in a good way. I wish I had gotten the brisket - I saw them cutting some for another customer and it was super moist. I will definitely be back and recommend to my company for catering as well. read more

After a couple of walk-throughs of the Crossroads Collective, I had been meaning to come back for the barbecue that smelled so good in those previous visits. I finally made it back, and my experience was excellent. I ordered the rib tips and the beans. It's important to know that these aren't the slathered-in sauce type of ribs that are common in a lot of restaurants. These are carefully smoked and are served with a dry rub that makes the flavors of the meat itself the main attraction. The ribs are served with a small side of sauce, and it's pretty good if you like a sweeter sauce, but these didn't need it at all. The meat is so tender, it's beyond my ability to describe. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a conversation with the proprietor, Jason Alston. He offered me samples of the pork brisket, homemade sausage, ribs and beef brisket. All were excellent. And the beans had enough rib meat in them to be a meal themselves. I really can't wait to go back and try more! read more

This place is the best smoked meat and barbecue in town. The owner, Jason, was super personable and gave us an informative culinary tour of all the different bbq meats and techniques he used. The place got busy so come early if you're starving. It's located in the Crossroads Collective near the ice cream shop so desert was convenient as well. Highly recommended if you like Texas style BBQ and big heaping portions of meat. read more

Food is excellent!! I love their rib tips! So yummy! I wished they were open later! Food is sooo good!

This little spot inside Crossroads Collective is not to be missed! Best bbq I've had in a very long time. The friendly staff helped explain the menu choices, and made recommendations based on the number in our party. Pick 2,3,4 meat choices (all excellent), add some sides and a slice of jalapeño corn bread, and dig in! I can't wait to go back. Although we didn't try it, they did have a fish offering on Friday. So no excuses even during lent not to get get your BBQ fix! read more

Called on Saturday mid day to order food for pick up. When I called I was told that they do not take orders over the phone and to just come in. He said wait time was only about 5 minutes. Went to the restaurant at 5:30 to order food and the door was locked - he opened to tell us he was out of most of his "product". Was bummed as we really wanted to try it. Can not rate the food but was disappointed we were not told this when we called around 3. read more

Words cannot explain the flavors every meat had. Each was unique in its own way but my favorite was the Asian inspired pork brisket-it's a hidden secret. If you've ever been in the hunt for some good bbq this place is it. read more

Awesomely delicious So many things I love about this restaurant. First, the service... so very friendly ,inviting and offered special items. Small menu, but everything is so delicious. Black owned Establishment serving up some most awesomely delicious Barbecue . You definitely get generous portions too. You want some awesome barbecue, go to Heaven's Table , you will not be disappointed. #HeavenlyDelicious# read more

Great food, great menu choices with many sides, chicken, pork snd beef options. Fast, friendly service. I will be back.

When it comes to picking out a place at Crossroads Collective, you CANNOT go wrong with Heaven's Table BBQ. While most places I have been to either really shine with their main dishes or their sides, HTB manages to excel both. Today in particular I had their brisket and salmon with a side of their mac n' cheese and jalapeño cornbread. All of which was so sublime I had to fight off my Fiancé from eating off my tray! And a lot has to be said to to the owner. He's a real humble guy who really goes out of his way to take care of his customers. I am looking forward to my next meal! read more

Excellent ribs and greens. Didn't care for the Mac n cheese personally. We ordered the Mosley and it was tons of food with plenty for leftovers. read more

My wife and I were out for a walk past Heaven's Table and we caught the scent. We didn't want a full meal so we asked about a simple sandwich. The result was the best brisket sandwich I've ever had! It was sliced right off an incredible slab of meat. Every bite was like butter! We are absolutely going back the explore the menu (which is tightly focused and actually offers some really good value). BTW Heaven's Table is part of a food renaissance occurring on North Avenue that deserves support!!! read more

I had the ribs and they were excellent. They are "competition-style" so they are not "fall off the bone". Very light tug of the teeth, which is how they are supposed to be. The rub was perfect, not too spicy but full of flavor. Plan on licking your fingertips repeatedly, no shame here! Eat em up! Don't forget the side of Mac n cheese. Plan on rich cheddar cheese hitting the taste buds, a meal in itself. Best bbq in Milwaukee, I would say. read more

First time trying since they moved to new location . I got the chicken and rib tips with macaroni and cheese and greens. so first thing, the good the rib tips were good the barbecue sauce, a little, sweet, but good. The mac & cheese was creamy. My reason why I will not be back with all the barbecue places in the city now popping up. This one will be on the shortlist. The chicken was not season and nothing to write home about. The Greens I would not get again. I honestly remember it tasting better when I first had it at the crossroad collective. For the whopping $25 I'll try someplace else. read more

We have been to Heavens Table Barbeque 3 times. The first time we had the smoked chicken and it was very good. Although the sides of Mac & cheese and greens were totally overcooked and very small for what they charged. The second time I got a three meat platter and my wife got the 1/2 chicken and we were very disappointed with the quality and service. My 3 meat platter had beef brisket that had an inch of fat on it and was very dry, had the ribs they were good however dry and not real warm, and had the sausage which was very bland and not much flavor. I complained to the employee about the terrible brisket and they cut me two more slices of the same over cooked fatty crap. I decided to get the chicken instead and it also was completely dried out and overcooked. So I complained and was told I should come earlier to get fresh juicy meat. It was 5pm? Usually the start of dinner hour. As a further note my wife's chicken was very dry but she ate it anyway. The 3rd and final time was two weeks ago we went for lunch thinking the food would be fresh and juicy. No it was more dry and worse than going at dinner time. It almost seemed as though they were selling not fresh from the day before. The prices are very expensive compared to other barbecue places and we expect quality food food for that price. I am sorry but we will not be back to Heaven's Table read more

Damn good Q. Was a bit hard to find. It's in a collective restaurant on the corner. But everything was great. Brisket, chicken and pulled pork. Corn bread m, beans, and grits for sides. Everything was awesome. Will definitely come back again read more

We had the pork ribs and the smoked baked beans, and our 12 year old said they were the best he'd ever had. Scrumptious, falling off the bone, just the right balance of sweet, salty, savory. Excellent! read more

Pros: BBQ is pretty good, sides are delicious, it's in a trendy neighborhood and service is friendly. Cons: portions are small even the sides and prices are high for the portion size. Also the cornbread was included with dinner now a separate cost. read more

I've seen a lot of great views and decided to try during the quarantine. We ordered the rib tips, brisket, chicken and pork and it was the most driest, unseasoned meat I've had in a long time. The beans were pretty good the slaw had a strong vinegar taste. I also ordered corn bread and that wasn't even in the bag, but didn't notice until I got home. I love bbq and I was really hoping to like this place. read more

We ordered catering for a party of 30 people last week - got the large pulled pork and large brisket. Both were incredibly tender and had the perfect amount of smoke. The sauce has just the right amount of tangy sweetness to compliment pork and beef. I highly recommend!!! read more

Crossroad Collective location. Just had a 3 meat combo with beef brisket, pork ribs, and pork shoulder. With macaroni and cheese and baked beans for my sides. Not the worst BBQ I've had, but not even close to becoming a regular BBQ spot. Everything was room temperature and not hot or even warm. Beef Brisket was very dry and had no juice in the meat at all. No elasticity in the meat and they cut it thick, otherwise, it would crumble apart from being not fresh, dry, and reheated. Pork Ribs tasted good, but again very dry. The rub was sweet and infused with the meat, but also not fresh, dry, and reheated. Pork Shoulder was the most moist, but not much flavor and no nice smoke ring that shows the smoke penetrated into the meat. Baked Beans were below average and just tasted like their BBQ sauce with some kidney beans and shredded brisket. Macaroni and Cheese was ok. A little cold with overcooked noodles. Flavor was ok. Cornbread was more moist than the meats and was your basic cornbread. Overall, $22 for this meal was a disappointment and would be better spent on a nice hot meal from anywhere else. read more

soooooo, this bbq, sausage (little spicy), mac & cheese, greens, jalapeño corn bread is ridiculous! Damn!!!! I can't wait to go back. I sent a photo to my friends in Chicago. Try it. Greens on the weekend...WTF! I am a little excited. Love ya'll and thanks for the fabulous food!!! read more

I had the Pork Shoulder. It's smoked 12 hours, it's so tender, so moist, and the seasoning is excellent. I really want to come back for other menu items, because of how good the pork shoulder is. Another Milwaukee gastronomic gem. read more

This is some good barbecue, we got the "mosler" with 1.5lbs of both chicken and Rib Tips, as well as 2 containers of Coleslaw and the House Baked Beans. Let me start by saying, the beans were the best baked beans I've ever had. I'm a big barbecue guy and these beans were amazing. The coleslaw is original non creamy style and was sour but good. The tips were amazing, bbq sauce came on the side so I got to choose whether to dip or soak them which is something I like, the chicken came right off the bone and was delicious. They also threw in some Corn bread, which you can tell is homemade and is real not that microwaved stuff. Overall the environment and the owner and employees were very friendly. That fact that we could dine in was awesome too. They do require masks when not at the table. Overall would definitely come back here more often if I was from Wisconsin. Definitely in my top 5 best bbq places! read more

Good afternoon. The young lady that took our order by telephone and accepted our payment, quite gracious. We drove from Wauwatosa based on last night's positive tv food reviews and you were also featured on Wisconsin Foodie recently. These two programs piqued my interest in purchasing a delectable meal as featured in both programs. In each program a generous amount of food was served and displayed as such. After this earlier afternoon's purchase, I brought my lunch meal home to eat. Upon opening the container, I was thoroughly disappointed. The difference quite stark! Aside from the brisket's saltiness, the meat portions not what I had expected. The supposed hoagie sandwich bun looked like a hot dog bun, one slice and a tip of another slice of brisket dumped onto the bun! I expected a better presentation, indeed. Furthermore, the cole slaw wasnt fresh either, it lacked the crispness that fresh cole slaw's known for. Very unhappy and disappointed in the experience. I expected the food experience that the food reviewers were provided and sadly, it wasn't what I received. read more

Went there for lunch with my auntie she wanted to try the place out and I'm so happy we did the best bbq in Milwaukee a down-home smoke taste the meat was nice and tender (its finger licking Good) 5 stars are not enough I definitely will return read more

Wow. This is phenomenal! My wife had the brisket which was pretty good, nicely spiced. I had the tips and pork with grits and greens. The tips were really tender and flavorful. The pork is amazing. Slightly sweet, not sauced and some of the greatest smoke rings in it, I could eat it all day. The grits were fantastic, creamy yet still textured rather than pure mush like some people. THE GREEN! Some of the best that I have had in my life, possibly the best. They are cut perfectly in wide enough pieces but not so wide you have to find a knife. Sadly, I have to mention that they were perfectly grit-free, there are so many places that don't wash their greens well enough and there's crisp crunch of dirt and sand. They were cooked so well, not overcooked and grey but also not raw and crisp. The seasoning was great, another thing people tend to go crazy with. Perfectly salted, lightly spicy, yet letting the greens flavor be the focus. Keep it going!! I can't wait to try the sausage and chicken. Not a huge bean fan but with they way they perfectly did everything, I am sure they can convert me. read more

The food is good (except for the bbq sauce). HOWEVER, the portions are wayyyyyy too small! We got 4 meats for $32 because "prices are subject to change", but I think it's ridiculous for a $5 upcharge when the portions wouldn't even fill up a child! They were even stingy on the sides! The sides should be proportionate to the meat and yet they're in these ridiculously small baby bottle sized containers. You can get bigger sides at Popeyes for less. How do they really expect adults to get full off this? And to top it all off, they were out of damn near EVERYTHING! They had no rib tips which is the main reason we went there and the only sides they had were grits and corn. I swear, every restaurant in that location is cursed. They are not going to last long if they keep this up, I can tell you that much. read more

Beware! Had a terrible experience with this business. I hired Jason to prepare my Thanksgiving dinner. I specifically asked for a baked Turkey, dressing, yams, mac and cheese and collard greens. Soul food style! Well when I picked up my $225 order, and got it home I decided to sample the dinner. Needless to say, I did not get what I paid for. I got a smoked Turkey (not what I requested) and I got orange dressing that was hard on top and soft in the middle. Overcooked! The dressing clearly lacked key ingredients such as celery, sage, and most importantly meat. It wasn't edible at all. The collard greens tasted like it was a mixture of greens that included spinach. First, before you include other ingredients, you have to make sure your client doesn't have any food allergies. Common sense! I immediately called Jason and told him about the order. He admitted to preparing the Turkey incorrectly. (Not sure why he didn't explain this when I picked up) Just imagine the day before Thanksgiving finding out your entire meal is disgusting, and not to mention I had a party of five coming over to fellowship. Not good! I was livid, sad, heartbroken and very disappointed...all of the emotions one could experience I had it. On Friday, I visited Heavens Table and I spoke to Jason. He seemed irritated that I told him about my experience. His only concern was that he didn't want to create a scene in front of other customers. Not that my Thanksgiving was ruined. Jason...not everyone creates a scene. I understand professionalism. I also understand that word of mouth is an effective way to share with others about an experience either good or bad. Although Jason did refund the $225 back to me, he decided to keep the 18% gratuity as if he provided a satisfactory experience. What a joke! All I'm saying is that the brisket may be good at Heavens Table, BEWARE OF HIS CATERING CAPABILITIES! I sincerely apologize but I can't (along with others that I have recommended) patronize your establishment again. You have left me with a Thanksgiving that I will never forget. read more

My husband and I dined at Heaven's Table BBQ for the second time today. Both times we went for lunch over the weekend. We easily got a table to eat at and felt safe with the COVID safety measures in place at Crossroads Collective (where Heaven's Table is currently located). Both times we shared a 2 Meat Platter, which was a perfect amount of food for us to share. It was amazing both times! I have decided that I will never not order the brisket. It's smoky, tender, and delicious! We had Mac and cheese and beans as sides and those were amazing too. The beans had a little kick to them, which I loved. The second time we went, we both ordered our own cornbread order because it was too hard to share last time. I highly recommend Heaven's Table! Best BBQ I've had in the area! read more

Ok, so food was very good. Service was not good! We had the mosley platter with brisket and tips. The sides were basic, nothing special. Unfortunately we didn't get the bread with our meal. When I called to let them know it was left out of our to go order I was told I could pick it up. They never apologized. I asked what time they were open until and was told to pick up the bread by 7pm. It was 6:10 when I called. Before I could say anything I i was told 'Oh we don't have any bread left" . I will not be ordering from Heavens Table again. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

This is the best bbq in town. Also happen to have the best pastrami in town (or tied for 1st w/Jakes).

The dry rub on the rip tips by Chef Jason stands out from the rest of BBQ spots I've been to in Milwaukee. If you like a coleslaw for a side that cuts through the hearty flavors of the meat and refreshes the palette before downing some more of your main course... this is your spot, people! Cornbread's on point, and they loaded me up with plenty of extra BBQ sauce in my to-go box. In and around Milwaukee, I highly recommend. I'll be back and will be telling friends. read more

The smoked meats were really moist and tender. The sauce was heavenly. Service friendly and accommodating.

Wow, these guys have great barbeque. I had the brisket, which was excellent, as was the sauce. I also had the grits and cornbread. The grits were superb. They couldn't be better. I will certainly try the other sides, but I don't know how I could ever go there and not have the grits. And the cornbread was very good as well. They have the BBQ gift. Go there. read more
