Service was great…read more Food was okay. Steak was overcooked but they were slammed so I didn't send it back. I even ordered it a level lower than normal so I could send it back if it was underdone. Fries were good but very salty. Salad was good but they give a very very scant amount of dressing and I don't use much. Place is NOISY. Very loud. Every sound echoes and bounces off the walls and floor and is deafening. Overall we will try it again.

We started with the Smoked Peaches and Brie appetizer. We had it last time, and it was just as good this time. They could improve it by increasing the number of crostini from six to eight. There's plenty of peaches and Brie, but not quite enough crostini to go with them. I tell people that I absolutely love the brisket, so that's what I got again. The Brisket Sandwich is consistently good. The others ordered the Salmon Bowl, Pulled Pork Sandwich, and Baby Back Ribs. Everyone loved what they got, with the exception of the ribs. They were so tough that you could barely cut them. The person who ordered them didn't want to make a fuss but was clearly frustrated. It wasn't until the end of the meal that we mentioned the problem to our server. Next time, an item like that needs to be sent back. That would make for happier customers and a better-informed kitchen staff. I'll keep coming back for the brisket. :)

Luckily for us they recommended Bilda's Friess Lake Pub. What an awesome place. Small, friendly, with a large selection of beers to choose from, and our food was outstanding. Were immediately told by other customers (obviously regulars) that we had to have the smoked wings. Great call. They were perfect. Very casual place. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. Have a great outside area also where they have bands and comfortably host large groups (a large group of local teachers were there celebrating the last day of school). Highly recommend

Service: There was an issue with our order. Apparently, it did not "print" back in the kitchen. We ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes before someone figured out what had happened. They acknowledged the mistake, apologized, and comped our drinks. Atmosphere: They now have outdoor entertainment every evening, and there is plenty of seating to choose from. The traffic around the roundabout intersection can get noisy, but I think they simply turn up the volume to compensate. A good spot for smoked meats and other sandwiches.

Cons: - Corn bread, which was highly touted, was underwhelming...I'd sub it with a different side. - Pulled pork was a little tasteless, but this might be due to the fact that the other meats we tried were so good. We were looking to try something different and after looking around on Yelp we settled on Boondocks. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were pretty surprised to find that it was mostly empty, although they had a ton of people working. We were promptly seated by the hostess after being warmly greeted and ordered a few drinks. We were meeting some friends so we ordered the brisket egg rolls and an appetizer to get us started. When they were delivered our waitress, who was really nice, gave a quick rundown of the different BBQ sauce options and we were off. The egg rolls were amazing, crispy wonton wrapper filled with smoked brisket and cheddar cheese and a touch of BBQ sauce. We tried all of the BBQ sauces, with the winner being their regular BBQ mixed with a little bit of the mustard BBQ sauce. These were awesome and we ended up saving one, which was hard, for our friends to try out when they arrived. When our friends got there we decided to order 2 of the sampler platters so that we could get a good benchmark. The sampler came with 4 sides so we went with seasoned fries, mac n cheese, brussel sprouts, and potato salad. The other things that were included in the sampler were corn bread, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. The ribs were phenomenal and I would definitely just order these stand alone next time. The brisket was also very tasty. The pulled pork was average, in my opinion, so I am counting that as a miss. The sides were all good, with the exception of the corn bread. I though that it was under cooked and didn't match the hype. Overall a killer late lunch/early dinner and this would have probably been a 5* review if I had just ordered the ribs with the seasoned fries and subbed the corn bread with any other side that we tried. We will definitely be back.

Saw that they were opened on Saturdays and decided to drive by in my way to the store and they were opened (Wednesdays and Saturdays 11-7). Proceeded to the store and upon walking out, you could smell the smoker from there! Upon pulling up and walking in, you are welcomed by the smell of smoked meats but not too over bearing, just right. The place is clean and well organized and I was greeted by the owner with a friendly smile. After a little conversation, I decided to go with 'the deuce' (2 meats and sides). I chose the tri-tip and pulled pork, greens and potato salad. Also the banana pudding! None of this disappointed in any way. stud Tri-tip was smokey and moist, the pulled pork just right, very little sauce needed. I tried some out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised how well it complimented the meat. The sides were fresh and seasoned quite well. Lastly, the banana pudding was delicious. Nothing about this meal disappointed. If you like brisket, go with the tri-tip! Easy transition and it is the best of both worlds for brisket (mostly lean with some marbling). Definitely will be coming back to try everything else on the menu! This is a must if you like good BBQ!

For being a host, he went above and beyond explaining what is on the different menus he handed us. It is rare that nowadays you get more than a hello how are you- from hosts. We had an AMAZING server-her name was Carrissa (on the check) but she has a nickname she goes by instead I think it was Dea or something... She took the time to answer any and all questions we had, told us all about the menu and was EXTREMELY personable. It is not often these days you find a server who enjoys their job. (I work in the service industry as well-so I ALWAYS appreciate finding GOOD servers) We really connected with her and had amazing service! The food wasnt terrible-but not something I would go back for. The brisket was a tad dry and flavorless. The turkey was good. Mac and cheese was horrible. My husband said the peach cobbler was great. The menu is jam-packed with delicious options, and our group had a hard time narrowing down our selections! We started by sharing the traditional mild Buffalo wings, burnt ends, and armadillo eggs. The wings were huge, meaty, and packed with an amazing smoked flavor. The burnt ends were incredibly tender, falling apart and practically melting like butter in your mouth. Amazingly, I still had room for the turkey Reuben with waffle fries. It was an interesting twist and a slightly healthier alternative to a traditional Reuben. They also offered a great selection of local beers on tap. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful as we worked our way through the extensive menu. We loved everything about this place and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sheboygan!

She also really enjoyed the bourbon glazed carrot pearls as I did the Mac & cheese. The maple bacon glazed baby bakers were good but you really didn't test the glaze like you did with the carrots. The cornbread muffins were good but also a little dry. The ambiance was nice and comfortable with a mix of high top and regular height tables.
