Just so you guys know - if you store things here, it could be stolen. It's not a secure facility and they completely dismiss any concerns about their security practices. Contacting their customer service email does very little as well - it's been a month since I reached out to their customer care address and they haven't provided any substantive response. It's not worth the rent you're paying.

The total mileage we would have put on this truck would probably be about 10 miles round trip for the entire move. He was promised the truck would be ready at Paradise Space Center's facility in Newfoundland and even got a confirmation email. Today he gets a phone call letting him know the U-Haul is ready for pick up in Hamburg, NJ NOT Newfoundland, NJ, because owners went on vacation and the place was closed! Now we're expected to drive an additional 35 miles, round trip (over an hour of our time), just to pick up the truck!!! When my husband complained to U-Haul's main headquarters, they told him that there was nothing they could do about it, and as a way to apologize for the inconvenience of of ruining our moving day, and adding another 35 miles to our trip, they would only charge us 99 cents per mile instead of $1.09 per mile!!!!! Clearly, this is their ploy to bolster their revenues. Shame on you U-HAUL & PARADISE SPACE CENTER!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN.

(Not that this happened to me -- OK, obviously, it did.) Some years back I had to put an apartment full of stuff (including several hundred books) into storage, pronto, and a friend who kept some of her belongings there suggested Vernon, for which I am extremely grateful. The storage units are large and secure, and I was able to fit everything into one unit. It was just about the only thing that worked well at a crummy time. I've kept the unit for the past four years, with no problems at all. The rates are great and the people who work there are really nice and friendly. It's month-to-month, so at some point when I need all that stuff again, I can go and get it, without breaking a contract and paying a fee. That's handy, too.

Vector…read moreoffice staff were very kind and gave us the best quotes it's just the actual people who stuff that were worst. We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense
