Delicato has moved me now at least 8 times, the most recent being 02/28/2025. They did a total pack and move and the guys were great. There were polite, professional and worked very hard. Moving is very stressful. Delicato transport has a very dedicated team of professional movers that smooth that bumpy road. Kevin,Brian,Anthony,Tom and Cory arrived on schedule, worked with a smile in very hot and humid weather and stayed until the end of a challenging and large household delivery. As if this wasn't enough , they cleaned a mountain of packing materials and tape. I cried when they left because not only was I overjoyed that my junk was in mint condition but my faith in the younger generation was restored-these guys were the BOMB!! If you're moving, get a call in to Joe at Delicato Transport as soon as possible. Oh, did I mention their rates are less than the competitors. Joe showed up to my home 3 months in advance to provide an estimate. Worked out the details of cost and schedule and agreed to move forward. I opted to purchase additional insurance of $450.00 bc all my apartment items were brand new. Coordinated time for packing and moving. On the day of packing the crew of 3 came to my home and asked that I sign 3 forms. 1. Being their start time, 2. Being the insurance acknowledgement which did not have the insurance I purchased on their estimate and 3. Was acknowledging the estimate in which I indicated I did not want the unpacking. The crew advised they would call the office to verify and change the paperwork. 20 mins passed and I was told the crew left and that I was being difficult and micro managing and that they would not doing my move. Text message of the day is as follows. Joe: "David, my guys are leaving. We hadn't even started and you are creating a multitude of problems. I apologize for any inconvenience but I have decided to decline doing your move. I am a professional in business for many years and I do not work this way. The start time was the last straw. You are the one that delayed the start not me. I cannot afford problems and problem people like yourself. Good luck" me: "I don't understand what the problem was, I was asking questions about what was being signed and what we agreed with. I didn't think there was a problem until you sent this text message." Joe: "You understand perfectly I hope you can find a mover short notice." Me:"I would really appreciate a call because I do not know what you're referring to." Joe:"My office is going to call you in a moment. I will send my men back you will sign and be charged for the original start time. You will sign the new revised order for service for the insurance and you will allow my men to work unimpeded and without micro managemening. That's the deal let me know if you agree. We need to know what you'd like to do." When I spoke to Joe over the phone I was told to shut up and leave his crew alone. The office administrator told me if you have any issues just call me and I will communicate to the crew. At 12:39pm I was told the crew has come back and that I would be subjected to paying for work starting at 10:00am at the hourly rate of $180.00 per hour (total of $567.00) and that this was the terms of the service. should be "leverage desperate situation in which Joe knew I had to move out by the next day to get me to pay him almost $1000 more right from the start for services not performed" When I advised I would cancel their service they were shocked to hear I declined their service. Joe spent the time not to understand the situation but to be belittle me and leverage a situation to take advantage of me. To speak to anyone like Joe Indelicato spoke to me as if I should take the services as is. They're not professional and inhumane. This whole experience was a complete nightmare and testament to their professionalism that is non-existent. read more

NEVER use this company! Except for one crew member, the others were rude, crass, and refused to wear their COVID masks. They scuffed floors, walls, and furniture. Deicato recently completed a move for my family, from a home my mom had lived in for 38 years. Joe and his guys were caring and polite and were a pleasure to deal with. Joe was on the premises every day of the move, overseeing the packing, transport and then the unpacking. He made great use of the company's time and trucks and was able to move us in earlier than originally planned which worked out so well. Do not use Delicato! The owner, Mr. INdelicato, was very nice and made promises at our initial meeting. I moved from a private home in Morristown, NJ to a condo building in Hoboken, NJ. The freight elevator needed to be reserved for a 4-hour window days in advance. They showed up (3) hours late into the 4-hour reservation. It was raining. They ran around and tried to move everything in an hour. Furniture got damaged. The public hallway got damaged. Mr. Indelicato acknowledged the damage but never compensated me for it. I needed to pay the condo $500. He is not trustworthy. I interviewed three companies and chose Delicato. His movers were professional but the management sucks. read more

The movers that were helping us were great ( Conner and Doug). Conner gave amazing customer service, and was diligent, and quick. Why the 3 stars? I'd give 5, but the " quote" that we received over the phone was an estimate. It was a huge surprise to me when I was quoted $350, and then charged 491$, but after some shock, charged the original price. We moved from North Jersey and had to put our furniture in storage with the moving company. The first move there were 2 experienced men and 1 inexperienced but all went well. The second move when our furniture was brought to us from storage to the South Jersey we were charged for an additional man that we were not told about and had to pay for his travel time plus each hour. We had a total of 5 men but only 1 with experience. They broke the wheel off our coffee table and we were told we could buy one at Home Depot. They broke the slat of the window blind in the one bedroom and tossed it in the corner and never mentioned it. My wheeled tool box was dented and I was told accidents happen. We were sent a check for $50 for the blind - which to replace costs about $130 plus tax. When they came to give us the quote we were impressed and told they would take care of everything and felt at ease - but that was not the case. We cannot give them a recommendation. I just moved from Parsippany to Jersey City and was very happy with my decision to hire Joe and his team. From the beginning they were by far the most professional and transparent moving team I had dealt with and that attitude carried through to the end. Joe and the management team were incredibly accommodating with my schedule during set up. On the day of the actual move, the movers themselves were professional and courteous, delivering everything in the most efficient manner possible while still being careful. Ultimately the cost was much more reasonable than any other quotes I received, potentially saving me what would have been ridiculous charges for such a move. Terrible experience all around. Joe, the owner came and gave me a quote, which included almost 300 dollars for the distance in between the houses. The day of the move four guys showed up an hour late due to the "cold" and the need to "warm-up the trucks." In my opinion, a business would look at the weather and plan ahead. When the guys did show up, they complained from the moment they stepped foot in the house until the moment they were done at the other house, that they had to move me. I felt that was quite odd considering it was their job. In the process, they ruined a bed frame, lost my shelf to my TV stand, left the tv stand on the truck of a guy who left early, and lost my TV hardware. In between houses, they also took a lunch break which is understandable, but they did not show up to the new house until 3 hours later. To top it off, he charged me 700 dollars more than I was quoted because I have to "pay for the time my belongings are on their trucks." So basically it was my fault they took a 3 hour lunch break. Also, I was told that one of the guys would come the next morning to drop off the tv stand, and he never showed up. When I called Joe to voice my concerns over the process, he said he couldn't do anything because it was a weekend, but he could "buff out the bed frame if I wanted next week." He never cared to figure out what happened to our shelf, but did overnight screws for the tv. Overall, I did not think the level of service was worth almost 3,000 dollars. It seems they only care about money and definitely not about people's belongings. I still cannot believe the level of service and lack of integrity. BEWARE! read more

Joe and his team did a GREAT job for a complicated move. Having to move a large house in one day and a storage unit Joe found a way to make the move work for our schedule, even when he had to string up a three truck, three team, coordinated move. His guys were very professional and courteous. They took the time to professional wrap furniture, glass, fish tanks and even pack wardrobes. They came back to empty our storage unit, move furniture after our floors were carpeted and provide flexibility in our use of his blankets For a local, but complex move Joe and his team did a great job. read more

The final cost was more than the estimate,but this was our fault because we undercounted the number of boxes and furniture. AWFUL. My move was inexpensive. Movers were over an hour late. No call. I took him to SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND I WON A JUDGMENT AGAINST HIM in Sussex County for damage he (his crew) did to my property. His guys tried to rush me through signing my bill without me surveying my belongings. I took tons of pictures and videos. He gave me nothing but lip service. The extra literature he hands out is nothing but fluff. If it has nothing to do with the contract, it's worthless. NEVER do business with him. Second judgment against him according to mediator. His moving company cost me even though the judgment/settlement was for the plaintiff/me. He scheduled an appointment 8 days later to view damaged goods and then never showed. He sent me an email with promise of a check worth a pittance of the damage done. He uses every excuse in the book. His pamphlets that speak of 100% satisfaction guaranteed is a bunch of nonsense. Not if it costs him money. Pick someone else. He said I sued him first before he had a chance to pay. Not true. I waited 80 days. He had to write me a check on the spot at the court house. read more
