Pretty cafe, exterior
Fawn G.

I'll give you this.. Most High is a cozy place to meet friends for coffee in another favorite part of Brooklyn, Eastern Parkway. I stopped by after bookmarking this place because it is right next door to a favorite Vietnamese shop of mine. I was in the mood for a hot chai on a brisk March afternoon and planned to drink it on my way to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. I stepped in and ordered it and the server was friendly and prepared my chai. Once completed she served it to me in a to go cup. The presentation of the chai was impressive( sorry, I didn't take a pic). I paid and left to drink it on the way to BBG. First sip... yikes.. all I can say is a burst of cinnamon hit my palate. Where is the Cardamom ? Ginger? Cloves? Their black tea concoction was.. hard to describe.. I don't mind spending money on quality beverages but $7.50 for a non chai is pretty disappointing. Sorry to say but Most High left me deflated.

Dulce de leche oatmilk latte

The Chocolate chip scone and dulce de leche oatmilk latte was delicious on a chilly, rainy Sunday morning. The ambiance is quaint and eclectic. The service was quick and easy and they didn't ask for a tip right away. I will definitely be back when I'm in this neighbor

Decided to try out a new coffee shop in the neighborhood and was not disappointed! the prices were pretty average for the area but the coffee tasted much better than a lot of the other places I've tried nearby. There is a small counter along one of the walls with stools to sit on and just one small table outside with two chairs, so there isn't a ton of seating but the place wasn't super crowded when I came. The drinks were all well made and came out super quick!

Visited Squarrel Cafe for the first time this past weekend. There was a Danganronpa Halloween…read morecupsleeve event that brought me here. I got the Sparkling Lychee Lime drink as park of the event and absolutley loved it. The event had the space very crowded, but staff worked well to get drinks out in a timely manner. The cafe itself is very cute and probably quite spacious on a normal day. The games look very fun as well! I wish I could have stopped to play one. If I am nearby the area again, I will defenitley stop by again- because that drink was just soooo good!

Lovely little gaming cafe with incredibly helpful staff! Will def come back to try the food/drink!…read more -Came here on a Saturday night with a date. Made a reservation on their website beforehand, but it was surprisingly empty. -Staff was super helpful. It was mostly one guy who was helping us whose name i did not get. We had a lot of questions and he never seemed annoyed and even was very excited to offer game recommendations. -I did not get to try food or drink, but I look forward to next time. The rice bowl looks good. -Everything was pretty clean and they have a bathroom for customers. -The games were pretty worn out, but no pieces were missing. I can say from experience at multiple other board game cafes, that's usually the best you can ask for. -It did not have quite the same expansive game collection as other board game cafes, but it did have multiple options for whatever kind of game you're looking for.

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

I have wanted to try this spot for some time, and wound up a bit disappointed with what I tried…read more They feature a tahini cold brew, which features two things I love dearly, but instead of a rich cold brew it was overly sweet and icy--more like a slushie. Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
