In town for a soccer tournament and looking for a sports bar to grab food and beers between games. Mossy's was the only place that was recommended to us that was open and close to the area. Our team had a spot towards the back of the restaurant, we did not have to wait which was nice. Service started out extremely slow (I do not think that they were expecting a full restaurant at 11AM) but picked up after we let them know that we were in a rush. I ordered the Turkey Panini with a side of fresh fruit. The panini was good, I was not a huge fan of the spinach. For beer I went with a 22oz Foothills Cottonwood which was reasonable priced at $5.50! Tons of TV's, accommodating staff and good bar food for around the area. read more

I like this place but they have burned my wife's food twice in two visits. Like legit burned up and not being picky. I'll eat anything and her burger was freakin gross. Ordered pickup a few days ago after just moving to area. I figured this would be a safe pick based on the menu. When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised at the interior. Looks like a great place to watch the game and grab a beer when it's safe again. The list of beers on tap looks awesome. My mom got the signature club sandwich, while I got the Clucker. Mossy's has everything you could possibly want in a neighborhood bar: a nice layout and decor, friendly servers, affable patrons, cold beer, and great food. Plus, it's locally owned and operated, not a chain--as such, they take a personal interest in their customers and in making a quality product. I had the buffalo chicken pizza. It was outstanding. They absolutely LOAD it down with buffalo chicken and blue cheese crumbles. Add some red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños if you are like me and like a bit of heat, and it doesn't get any better. These toppings are put over a hot sauce base on a crust that is also delicious. The pizza price is much more reasonable than other places who pay $8000 for an imported pizza oven, pretend that it makes pizza taste better, and then pass the cost on to the customer. The pizza at Mossy's stands up very well against them in my opinion. Update: went again 3 days later for pepperoni pizza. It is also excellent with a lovely sauce. Update #2: Went yet again to try the cheesesteak. It is one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had. Lots of tasty meat, and the bread is soft and delicious. A really nice neighborhood bar and restaurant that is a truly great place to hang out and watch sports or enjoy a meal with friends or family in a lively atmosphere. Stopped here while traveling on the road through town. Sat on the well landscaped outdoor patio, which was surprisingly cool and breezy on a hot summer day. The staff was very accommodating, especially since we had our dogs in tow. The entire patio is non-smoking. Waitstaff more interested in playing with their hair than asking (me) a lone customer waiting at the hostess stand if they could help. I stood at the hostess stand for roughly 5 minutes while I counted 7 employees (5 of which stopped by the stand) and all ignored me. The biggest insult was when two of them stood there with their backs to me while talking to another server. None of them so much as said hello. Once I finally caught the attention of one, she went to check on my order. She came back to find my order waiting for me at the table. Another worker asked if I had paid!?! I said no, but apparently could have said yes. I paid and got my food that was 3 ft away from me the whole time of my encounter. I know places are understaffed, but clearly not the case here at Mossy's. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. Seven on the floor that I counted, three (as far as I could see) in the kitchen, two bartenders seem to be pretty good coverage for a restaurant this size. So here is my request. Dear owner or manager, just because we customers are being trained to accept sub par service "during these difficult times" - doesn't give the waitstaff the permission to treat customers as if they are a bothersome nuisance. I'd appreciate it (and will continue to patronize your establishment) if you trained your employees to greet customers and not worry as much about jawing with their friends, taking a smoke break out front, or trying to score a date. read more

The wings are dry, pizza crust burnt, cheese fries don't even have enough cheese or bacon to be considered cheese fries. I am so turned off from a place that used to be my favorite. So sad. I had been meaning to stop here long ago and now I wish I had. A friend and I met for a beverage after work and shared an app. The bartender was friendly and the app (nachos with chicken) were very good. But 1-2 beers is not reason to celebrate yet, so I returned with my family for dinner a week later. Again, server was friendly and attentive. Glasses did not reach empty and we waited for nothing outside the normal turnaround time. The food was delivered at the same time (a task many restaurants are struggling with) and was hot and fresh. Everyone enjoyed their meal that ranged from boneless wing (real chicken), burgers, fish and chips and of course, nachos with chicken. Least favorite was the fish and chips. Mossy's is located in a huge labyrinth of shops and stores. There is plenty of parking, but it gets full fast. They have outdoor seating on a patio, a bar area, some high tops and booths for dining. The service was very good. Fast and friendly, kept my drinks full and checked in on me just enough. I was on my way to another restaurant, that wasnt open, and wound up here. I was not disappointed. The menu had plenty of options on it without trying to be too much. First off was a decent beer selection. Then an order of wings. These wings were so good. They had plenty of meat on them and were cooked up just right. I could just come here and eat wings. The american burger was the next choice. I was so relieved not to have to tell them how to cook the thing. They just cooked it up medium well without burning it, and no raw meat inside. I was amazed. Lightly toasted bun was fresh tasting. This thing was very large, and very good! A+ for the cook, and a gold star. If you are in the area trying to find some good pub grub this is the place. read more

I've passed this place for years and wondered about the food! Today I went with a friend for drinks and a bite to eat. Naturally we tried the Vegas Bombs because they were on special for $4. I got mine on the rocks with cranberry juice and it was DELICIOUS!!! I ordered a pepperoni pizza and wasn't too impressed...I'm a sauce person...if I don't care for the sauce, I don't care for the pizza. My friend ordered some kind of wrap and veggies and enjoyed it and we got the homemade chips and ranch as an appetizer and they were great. Next time I go, I'll probably just get a turkey bacon sandwich or a burger and fries. Service was great and it was pretty clean! Always a good thing read more

Typical sports bar here. Plenty of TVs and a good amount of seating. I was there during the first round of sweet sixteen games on a Friday afternoon and it was definitely crowded around the bar. Good beer specials. $2 Yuengling and $2.50 bottles of Miller Light, Bud Light, etc. Beer was cold and bartender ALWAYS had one ready before you finished your last. Great service. I got the chili and a side of Onion Rings. Chili was fine. Very standard and certainly nothing to "wow" you. Onion Rings were good. Nice crispy coating. Served with "Southwest" Ranch which really just tasted like normal ranch which was a disappointment. I tried a slice of my friend's Taco Pizza. It was pretty tasty. I would probably get that next time I go. Prices are extremely reasonable here, food is fine, and, like I said, the service was great. read more

A typical sports bar with better than average food. My strawberry walnut salad with fried chicken was very good. A nice balance of mixed greens, strawberries, feta and chicken. Hubby had the spicy chipotle black bean burger. It was a nice change up from either a- garden burger or Morningstar or b- nothing. With more places offering veggie fare, it's nice to see restaurants expanding their menus. Our two guests had the fried green tomato burger special. The burger was excellent. The only knock was that the sweet potato fries were not crisp (meaning they were under cooked). With both beer and hard cider on tap, we left happy. read more

We live right by Mossy's so we eat here a lot just for convenience sake but it almost always hits the spot. The service is great and they always cater to us as we like to sit outside on the covered patio with our dog. Solid rotating beer selection keeps things fresh for me, and the bartender always makes my wife's cocktails perfectly. I've tried most of the menu and my favorites are their Burgers, and Buffalo Chicken Wrap. We always start with chips and queso which are surprisingly solid for a place not known for Tex mex fare. I think we hit Mossy's on a bad day or at a bad time, but the food on our most recent visit was definitely " meh." My husband and I stopped in around 2:30 pm on a Saturday to have a drink and get snacks to tide us over til dinner time. Mossy's has great atmosphere, feels like a neighborhood bar where you wish everybody knew your name. You just get the feeling that there are regulars there. It's nice. The place wasn't packed but fairly busy. Our wait person was pleasant and attentive. We ordered beers, wings and nachos to share. The beer arrived ice cold. :-) The food followed quickly. The wings were ordered spicy, and as the wait person warned, they were not THAT spicy, pretty mild, actually. And a little under cooked, not raw, just a bit pink by the bones. The nachos were disappointing: VERY thin white corn chips, heavy on cheese and refried beans, a few pinto beans, a bit of tomato, green pepper, black olives, jalapenos, lots of shredded lettuce, and a big dollop of sour cream. No salsa, on the nachos or on the side. They were hard to eat as the chips did not hold up under the weight of the ingredients, and the refried beans and cheese just overwhelmed the otherwise bland appetizer.
