Went to meet up here with friends for dinner. It's off the main road in a stand alone building. We were greeted immediately by a staff member and taken to our table. Our waiter soon arrived to take our drink order while we waited for our friends. When they arrived they had one extra person and the waiter immediately moved us to a bigger table without hesitation. He gave us a few minutes to review the menu while we decided what to eat. The margarita specials are great for all you drinkers. They also have non alcoholic drinks for the drivers and non drinkers. Drinks are big thou they are packed with ice. Food selection is pretty diverse as they have e something for everyone's taste. They also offer some great value specials for those on a budget. We started with the trio appetizer, doubling up on the chicken wonton tacos and some fried pickles. The wontons were actually really good and not a bad combination of ingredients. The fried pickles were in strips which was different. They were a bit salty but then again it's pickles! My friend got the cheeseburger wonton tacos. She thought it was a bit spicy but they were perfect for me. I would order those next time. My wife got the sweet Asian chili wings, she was bummed that she only got drumsticks and not one wing.....lol. She did like the ratio of sweet and spicy on them. I got the lemon chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, that's right, this fat guy ate healthy for once! The chicken was not overcooked and you could definitely taste the lemon in every bite. It was a big piece too so it filled me up. Broccoli was soft and tender and the mashed potatoes had soaked up the juices from the chicken so it made them that much better. Wifey liked the margarita so I will take her word on it. Overall great experience. Had not been here in a minute. The menu pictures definitely make you want to come back and the service today was great. Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed! read more

Ordered the Ribeye. Hmmm was so thin I asked for Rare to Medium. Got a well done. Taste was good, on the tender part's that were edible. The dogs will get the rest. Also ordered the Spinach/Artichoke dip. That was good. But by the time we got home, . Let's just say the bathroom was my destination for the next few hours. Broccoli and cheese and mashed potatoes tasted old. So improvements definitely or don't go on a Mon night. read more

We had a great experience at Applebee's for lunch today! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in, they actually only had one server today for the entire restaurant which I know would have had to have been very stressful but she was absolutely the sweetest and she did an awesome job of making sure that everyone had everything they needed even with the restaurant being packed. Our food came out hot and fresh and everything was delicious!!! read more

I've not been a fan of the food at Applebee's, finding most dishes to be just average, missing the mark more often than not. But I came specifically to try their newly introduced $9.99 Big Meal Deal. This was in response to the plethora of such deals that have emerged over the last few months, and especially to the meal deal just introduced by Chili's - a meal deal I've tried and found to be one of the best such deal out there - of course that's not a tough hill to climb! Here I ordered the Cluckin' Chicken Sandwich, which comes with a 20 ounce drink and FF for $9.99. The time out of the kitchen was under 15 minutes. In 2024 alone, meal deals ranging in price from $5 to $10 have been introduced by KFC, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Arby's, Burger King, Popeye's, Jimmy John's, Chili's, as well as Applebee's - I have sampled them all, some have more than 1 entree option! This chicken here is described in the restaurant's advertising as a "MASSIVE hand-breaded chicken breast" hinting that it is the largest in the industry. It is large but definitely not the largest - national chain largest is at KFC @ over 10 ounces, Popeye's is well over 8 ounces; local largest is Bad Daddy's Burger Bar, beats KFC! So how about this sandwich - good value, decent sandwich, once reworked ( more below), but as plated this is no game changer. The chicken is not especially flavorful, lacks seasoning - what is there is muted by the terrible brioche bun (too much bread at the top, falls apart at the bottom). I think the same restaurant geniuses that decided the brioche bun was the way to go, also decided that putting the pickles, tomato, and lettuce on the bottom would be good though the thin bread bottom would be destroyed - probably also came up with putting the mustard last on a hot dog - 3 napkins, 6 if you have a beard. Lastly the lettuce and tomato added little, in fact the shredded ribbons of lettuce constantly fall out. The Mayo is simply Mayo, adds little to nothing. After a couple of bites, I cut the sandwich into, removed the tomato, and much of the shredded lettuce, spread the mayo evenly, it had been glopped in the middle of the chicken breast. After adding a good amount of salt and pepper, I splashed on a lot of Frank's Original Hot Sauce - now we had a decent sandwich, and coupled with the FF and drink, we had a bit of a meal deal. This sandwich is currently only available in the combo format. Now the FF were flavorful and plentiful, and as I mentioned the drink was 20 ounces, and there are refills! Not a fan of having to reconstruct a sandwich, the kitchen's job is to get it right to begin with. If I were to order it again, I'd have the lettuce and tomato left off, and have the hot sauce brought straight out. read more

Applebees is a favorite of our family. We are always greeted and seated pretty quickly. The waiters are great help when taking our orders. They offers a ton of appetizer choices. We love getting the boneless wings. Our food options were great, offering plenty to choose from. I always like sitting by the bar to have access to the tv so I can watch my sports. Definitely a great spot for family and friends to hang out and enjoy a great meal or drink together. read more

food was good. i had the chicken parm and fettuccini, husband had the Big Banging burger. fries were really good. waitress was friendly but not very knowledgeable-maybe just new. my complaint is the front cover of the drink menu seen below. very deceiving because only the beer is $4. i had the whiskey sour which was $7. husband had the beer -$4; don't know what the wine cost. so, deceptive which is a big negative for me. read more

Absolutely the worst meal I have had in a restaurant in years. Made the mistake of ordering the all you can eat special. Started with chicken tenders that were nothing but bread. Came with french fries that were "old" and cold, had to send them back. Came with their famous coleslaw. It's famous, it was cabbage with some carrots and tasted awful. Ordered fried shrimp that took 20 minutes to get to me and was as bad as the chicken tenders. Tried the ribs next, and they were a piece of flat meat with bbq sauce and was disgusting. I highly recommend you do not waste your time and money here. They need some serious changes. read more

That extra star is for the waiter, our waiter was very nice! The food on the other hand was terrible. Been a long time since we ate at Applebee's, we heard about their boneless wings and we decided to give it a try; the chicken is definitely frozen and old, very low grade, most probably fried ahead of time and heated after you make the order. Blue cheese has no blue cheese taste and ranch is very much diluted. Terrible. read more

Applebee's has always been one of our go-to for family dinners in every state we've lived. We have come to add the one in Clemmons to our list. We have always been greeted by friendly and enthusiastic waiters. Big thank you to Ebony who was great. I overheard that some staff was going on 14 hour shifts, yet they were friendly and just as enthusiastic as if we were their first guest that night. I forgot to take pictures of my meal but I know we will be back! It was 15 minute wait but it was efficient and without the hassle of having to sit in the waiting area looking for a place to sit while being called. We sat in the car and listened to music because we used the Yelp waitlist! Full stars for Yelp working with these restaurants! read more

We waited for 45 minutes on our food. Will never go back to this place again!!!!!! Don't waste time or money

Staff shortage. Plenty of tables but never seated. Party of seven. Obvious lack of motivation for the limited staff.

We enjoyed our meal at Applebee's so much. Mike was a good manager. He Welcomed us and checked on us during the meal. And our waiter Joe was super. Food is always good here and it's a clean environment. Highly recommend. read more

So the food and the service was great and the server was very nice attractive. We've had him before, but it just doesn't cut it. The ambience was horrible. It was about 85° in the restaurant. They did not have their air-conditioning on. It was very uncomfortable. in fact, it was more than uncomfortable. It was 100% miserable. I actually thought a few times I was going to pass out to the floor. We just are not coming back ever. We don't wanna go to a restaurant that we're suffering at. I felt like I was in a desert when I came out to my car . My sister ordered a long island and she said it was pretty disgusting and we've decided that because it was so hot in there that we will never come back. read more

It seemed relatively busy for a Wednesday but the staff was doing a good job. Marissa V was our server and she had such refreshing energy!

WORST APPLEBEES EVER. We went in and was told it would be a 5 minute wait and we waited 20 minutes until we got tired of waiting and went to the bar instead. We sat at the bar and got waters but then the bartender never came back around to us to get our other drink orders or our food order. All he did was look at us, walk around and screw around with the other customers who seemed like "regulars" there. We were there for a total of 45 minutes and we're never waited on and our experience was horrible from the beginning. Never going back and don't waste your time there read more

I came to this location to celebrate my daughter's win of class election and the Service was TERRIBLE!! We sat for 15mins before we got a drink order in or a simple "hi ill be your waiter" . Sat another 5-7mins before we got a food order in. The waitress we were supposed to have was very Rude & Short . And even after the manager took my order they still brung out the wrong food! We will not be returning after tonight!!! read more

Service was great per usual, the food was warm and seasoned perfectly. The price was decent for a meal for two. I was very pleased with my waitress and I even got a free dessert for my birthday! The evening we were in it was not busy. There were two servers and each lady had two tables and our server didn't get her second table till near the end of our meal. I ordered a beer when she brought our dinner and she finally brought it after we had both finished our meals. I told her I didn't want it and I'd take a water. She left it on the table anyway and a couple minutes later the manager on duty (young guy) came over and acted like a complete ass by saying we were being "unreasonable"because the 4 top they seated in her section was "very demanding." read more

Excellent service. Didn't have to ask for a thing. My husband and I were in a rush and ordered drinks, appetizer, and entrees all at the same time. Everything still came out in perfect timing without overlapping, which I appreciate. I hate getting my appetizer with my meal. We both ordered the Parmesan Shrimp and Sirloin. Both were cooked to our likely and were excellent. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip was also great, as usual. We love this Applebee's! read more

This Applebees has one waiter named Ben Wells, and he is great. He's really funny, polite and he does his job really well. The bar area is spacious and they play hip music. Great service for a chain! The bartender rocks and is a hoot! All the staff is super friendly! The food is above average for an Applebee's. Many of the chain's locations I've been to have not been consistent, but this one does a great job! read more

amazing food and service from the moment we walked In. love this location so much I come regularly.

I dined at this restaurant on 11/13/15, a Friday night with my family. We opted for the 2 for $25 meals. 1. The Caesar Salads were very good. The ingredients were fresh, and the dressing was delicious. 2. I opted for the Bourbon Chicken and Shrimp and it too, was delicious and full of rich flavors. 3. My wife ordered the Sirloin steak prepared medium. While it looked appetizing on the plate it was really overcooked and tasted as if it was over-seasoned. It was almost inedible. 4. My 10 - year-old son had the pizza from the Children's Menu and he loved it. He ate every bite which is rare. The restaurant was nicely appointed and the service was excellent. While I would recommend the restaurant to others, I would NOT recommend that sirloin steak. read more

We used to go regularly to this location - food was good, hot, great service. Went the other night and the bartender was not amused that he had to wait on us (the place was not wildly busy by any means), let us know that the available wait staff was below his standards. The order took forever, refills on drinks were very slow to arrive (by the waitress), no napkins or straws provided. In addition, there was a very drunk female at the bar who started screaming at another regular patron, using very profane language (this particular woman is regularly soused to the gills and screaming at someone) making for a very unpleasant end to our dinner. She was also going after people leaving the bar. The manager should have cut her drinks off waaay before we got there or asked her to leave - she was so drunk she couldn't stand up straight in her heels. Do I want this person driving on the roads - NO! Applebees could be held liable if there were to be an accident after she had been drinking so much there. We won't go back. read more

Been going for years all over USA. We recently went to the one in Clemmons. We were seated fast and drinks came. Waited for a order taker for 20 mins. While this Applebee's location is not a groundbreaking restaurant with exciting new local fare, there is nothing preventing me from giving 5 stars. If you're looking for a chain restaurant with affordable prices and good food, I think this Applebee's is a great option. My boyfriend and I love to share the appetizer sampler. It's great for when we're not starving but want to go get some grub. The boneless wings are just as good as East Coast Wings or Buffalo Wild Wings. While there are not many sauce options, the spicy buffalo is solid. The spinach artichoke dip, the chips and queso and mozzarella sticks are all solid options. It's a great value at less than $15 for the sampler. With 2 fountain drinks, you can still get out for less than $20. They feature specials each night including $7.99 burgers, and kids eat for 99¢. The staff here has never been an issue for us, as it is at some franchises. They are always very friendly, polite and quite attentive. I truly have nothing but good things to say about the Clemmons Applebee's. read more

I got the 4 Cheese Mac and Cheese with Honey Chicken (I'm not sure if that's exact name, but something similar). The chicken was pretty good but mixing with the 4 cheese Mac and cheese wasn't the best of ideas. Would I order this again? No. ______________________________________________________________ Today, August 28, I got the three cheese chicken cavatappi (idk how to spell that). For some reason, they don't serve bread with their pasta anymore. How preposterous. Also, it came cold. We waited 10-15 minutes, yet it still came cold. Ridiculous. Dropped my 2 stars to 1. read more

He server was sooo sweet! My family and I loved her! Food was pretty good too! I felt the need to review because I felt this constant glare.
