The wife and I go to the coast frequently, especially the Cayucos area. One stop we go to is Mosey's. We always eat seafood, but occasionally we do crave a good smash burger. Mosey's delivers and conquers that crave. Their walk-up window is convenient, and the employees are friendly and answer any questions about the menu. They have a small outdoor seating area and the atmosphere is crisp and relaxing, but we take our juicy 100% beef w/ grilled onions on the beach. My wife loves the onion rings, and I love the fries. Both are deep fried perfectly, and are crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle. My wife always ask for extra crunchy onion rings. The burgers are juicy, so grab extra napkins. The grilled onions with the melted cheese, bring a harmony to the beef. If you're ever in the Morro Bay or Cayucos area, and want a good smash burger, then Mosey's is your choice. read more

Sadly updated. Not sure what happened from the first day I went but I have been back several times since and it has been consistently Disappointing. Beef patty's are not seasoned well enough, especially for a smash burger. Buns are dry and poor quality bread . And the fries are always soggy no matter how long they cook them, the seasoning on fries is good though. Maybe the tallow they cook them in has too low of a smoking point to actually get them crispy.? The beef was good quality beef , just a problem with consistency . Too bad this place has the potential to be so good. I'm a local and unfortunately none of my friends like this place either, all with the same complaints. I truly hope it gets better. read more

One of my favorite things was that they cook their food in beef tallow. You can really taste the difference! While we were staying in Cayucos for the week, we ended up enjoying Mosey Burgers on the beach more times than I would like admit. The location is perfect! We grabbed our food and headed straight to the beach! The staff were incredibly friendly every single time we stopped in. Has a cute little dining area in the corner that my 4 year old really wanted to eat at. They were friendly when we came in and the service was pretty quick. Food came out super fresh and looked great. Basket of fries is pretty pricey at $8, but it is a good portion. The fries themselves though, not very good, stuck together weird flavor and poor texture. Burgers were a great size and looked good. Definitely glad we got the lettuce and tomato for $1 more since the burgers were overcooked and dry. Maybe that's how smash burgers are supposed to be? Craving good food? Stop here and grab a huge breakfast burrito! Ordered ours with bacon and this thing was filled with egg, potatoes, cheese and a lot of bacon. The outside was perfectly toasted. We had great service from a young lady who took our order. The Chef was a cool cat who can cook up some delicious food. Very disappointed no one has reached out to me about my order from last Saturday, 4/4. We placed a large order ($82.50, order #95) online and walked to pick it up in Cayucos. They told me the online system had been defaulting to Morro Bay and i had to go there to get the order. Unfamiliar with that location (since I am not from this area) the time it took to get there, plus gas prices and receiving a cold and inedible (the fries and onion rings were packaged together and all stuck to each other) left me very frustrated. If they cut the burger's salt back by like 1/3 and updated their buns, it would have been 5/5.
