Stopped by to try the clam chowder and it was tasty and filling. I enjoyed finding the chunks of clam and potato. The service was quick.

Extra large (16oz) clam chowder and garlic bread

Was in a hurry in between flights at the airport and wanted clam chowder so thought to give it a try! There are 3 bowl sizes. Regular, large (12 oz) and extra large (16 oz) . Each comes w saltine crackers. The clam chowder was good and had lots of ingredients. Each scoop had tons of food. But the only thing was I thought there were too much potatoes. I barely found clams. And the garlic bread was yummy too!

It was pretty good. It tasted fresh and it was pretty plentiful. They give you fries and tarter/cocktail sauce. They ran out of tacos. It was a bummer because it was what I wanted. They had clam chowder options. Overall service was good and they also had a cool selection of cod, shrimp and clam strips. The batter was delicious and fries were very tasty.

We landed at the Portland Airport at 7:30 this morning. I checked out this joint's menu last night from home. Known for their clam chowder, of course I was going to have to get some even though its 7:30 in the morning. This place was popping for being a early as it was! They had so many people waiting for orders and waiting to order. Besides the clam chowder, they offer a variety of breakfast items which is cool. Breakfast bagels, breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy. I got myself a small clam chowder. I was still full from my yogurt cup from earlier or I totally would have gotten the bread bowl. I snagged the biscuits and gravy for my husband. Biscuits and gravy is always a safe bet for my husband. Our food came out hot! And honestly, when I opened my soup cup and saw all the seasoning on top, I was worried about it being overwhelming. I was wrong. The seasoning was a great addition to the soup. It was hot! It was loaded with potatoes, clams and bacon. It was creamy and savory. That clam chowder was legit good! My husband smashed out his biscuits and gravy so I'm sure they were fantastic. I'm happy I got to try this joint out cause who knows if I ever will get to try them again. The service was fast and everything came out super hot! The chowder was legit good and if I ever come across another Mo's, I'm definitely going.

Wanted to get some kind of seafood before we left PDX and settled for airport clam chowder. Very good, I got a bowl and it came with a decent amount. It was savory and not too heavy. I was expecting to having an uncomfortable flight from an upset stomach, but felt no such thing! Would get again. My only gripe was that it was a little slow as a whole process, but still worth it.

Whats up Yelpies When you're traveling in the morning and can't figure out if you have time for breakfast.... Then this is the spot!! In less than 5min I received a hot fresh breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee. With quick service like that for a person on the run you deserve to eat good so why not eat at MO'S !!!! Get you some good eats

Didn't get to try MO's in Portland so I thought I would give their airport location a try. Should be the same, just a little pricier I assumed. Well the soup was ok, but tasted more like potato soup than clam chowder. Hardly any clams in my soup either. Only good thing is the prices in the Portland airport are nothing like the prices at LAX, so not a big loss. I did also pick up their frozen soup base which travelled well even though they don't have plastic bags to catch the sweat from the defrosting, but they did double bag it in paper for me. I can always add my own clams to the base, so not too upset. Oh well.

Great spot for a quick convenient meal. Whether it's breakfast or lunch. Easy on the pocket too. I got the Bacon Egg and Cheese bowl that also contained potatoes. $8 for 16oz bowl. Plenty of protein for my flight. Service staff is super friendly and efficient. I got my order crazy quick. It was hot off the grill. This is a Small Business franchisee. Well Done MO's! Aloha

It wasn't amazing nor was it terrible. It was good for airport food. People were friendly and seating was plentiful. I ended up trying the clam chowder and panko fish and chips. (Note: the Alaska cod is panko crusted and beer battered is halibut). Clam chowder: the bacon inside was the dominant flavor of the chowder. I wish there was a little less bacon and a bit more clams. With that said it wasn't bad. Panko fish and chips: the fish was nice and flakey. There are 4 larger nuggets served and the fries were nice and crunchy. All in all I'm glad I tried it. Everything was fried fresh to order and the soup was piping hot. Not a bad option if you're at PDX.

Wow, all I can say is my clam chowder was absolutely delicious. Located in Concourse C at PDX, it was pretty easy for me to order at the counter and receive my food. I did like that there is a common sitting area to eat so that there is ample room for patrons. I highly recommend their clam chowder!

Fish and chips with mimosa
Mariah D.

Had an unexpected layover at PDX. Found this little gem near my gate. I don't expect much from airport food, but this place was beyond delicious with fair prices. I ordered the fish and chips with a mimosa. It was worth every bite and sip after a stressful day of traveling and no sleep. You can tell it's cooked to order. They are short staffed so wait was long but worth it if you have the time.

Chorizo Breakfast Bowl Sooo Good!
Judy N.

Let me tell you the chorizo breakfast bowl rocks! In the Portland airport looking for breakfast and I'm surprised there were places open at 5:30 A.M. when we landed. There was a line here and I just kept thinking is chowder a breakfast thing? Okay they have a breakfast bowl with choice of bacon, sausage or chorizo - that sounds good! I'll try a bowl of their chowder too! Chowder was kind of heavy on the potato but I think most chowders are that way so substantial, hearty and good flavor just wish it had a bit more seafood. If I had to pick one it'd be the chorizo breakfast bowl!

We intentionally did not intervene immediately, as we are working on teaching her to communicate without reinforcing whining. During that short time, multiple guests began making comments toward us, including telling us to "do something" and calling us "the worst parents." The situation escalated when one woman followed us as we were leaving, recording us and yelling in our faces. What's most concerning is that the restaurant did not intervene in any meaningful way. Instead of addressing the guests who were harassing us, we were asked if we wanted to move tables. Our server was kind and tried to help, but the lack of management response in a situation that clearly crossed into harassment was unacceptable. I left feeling shaken and unsafe. I would not recommend this restaurant for families.

Stopped in for our 4th or 5th visit to celebrate my wife's birthday last Friday night April 17th…read more.. The Cove has always been a great choice in the past for special dinners/occasions. Unfortunately this time, we left very disappointed. My wife has a sensitivity to spicy foods. Upon ordering appetizers for the table, we asked if any of them (that had a spicy description on the menu) had the option to have the sauce on the side. She proceeded to ask how the scallops were and went ahead with that order. There was absolutely no description of having any spicy component on the menu nor any mention by the server. Upon her first bite of the risotto, she went into a severe coughing fit :( I tasted it and acknowledged how spicy it was. She proceeded to just eat the scallops. We were mostly done when the waiter came to check on us ... My wife asked if the dish is typically spicy. Response was "oh yes" ... It was completely lost on us why he wouldn't have mentioned that to her upon ordering knowing how she questioned the appetizers. His offer at this point was a new meal .. which was nice but we were mostly done. There really wasn't much in the way of sincerity beyond that. It seems the right thing to have done was offer my wife (celebrating her birthday) who didn't enjoy her meal ... maybe a comp'd drink or maybe a dessert (no acknowledgment of her birthday at all. When you spend north of $300 ... Disappointing to say the least. Upon leaving, I decided to just express my concern to the hostess and suggested adding the spice level of this specific entree to the menu. I reaffirmed my wife didn't get to fully enjoy her meal. I received a lukewarm "thanks for letting us know." The worst part of the whole experience was a manager/owner type was a few steps behind her, made eye contact and was fully aware i had an issue and made absolutely no attempt to come over and address the complaint. I no longer blame the waiter for his lack of concern knowing it flows from the top. We all go out and spend top dollar at nice restaurants for good food but also, for service and the experience. The restaurant has been opened awhile and maybe is established enough where this isn't as much of a priority as it was early on. In contrast, we went out the night before to a more established fave restaurant of ours in Portland (Ava Genes). Had an incredible meal, incredible experience, and uber attentive service. They even went the extra mile and made a big deal that we chose them to celebrate. Ended our evening with a simple complimentary scoop of gelato/candle. It was a nice touch. Certainly didn't mind spending the $$$ for that evening. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from trying The Cove if they've never been (I'm hopeful they just had a bad night) ... but there are so many good choices out there, it will most certainly make us think twice before going back.

Mid Century Modern kinda feel to the inside which is right up my girls alley. The people who work here are super friendly and professional. When we got there we were greeted and sat right away since we had a reservation. I love trying something a little different. I've never had Carpaccio before and now after trying it at Dame, I'm totally a fan. Light texture but deep flavors due to the shaved fois gras and capers. The Focaccia was really good too. I gravitate to anything that has fennel in it so I might be a little biased. That and love bread just as much as I love potatoes. Potatoes are life after all. Heh When we went we ordered the Late Summer Risotto and the Pork Chop. I admittedly liked my girls dish just a little more than mine. It was super fally. Even though it didn't have any meat, I really enjoyed all the veggies bouncing off eachother in this pasta. I feel like some people think Risotto can get boring sometimes. A lot of times we see the same ole Mushroom Risotto a thousand times. Or maybe it's just a basic one paired with some other dish. I really like that Dame's had a lot of fun things going on within it. That being said don't get it twisted. The Pork Chop was still fire. I love the tenderness and flavors just on its own. I've never been a big polenta guy but Dame's again made me rethink my humanity. It was so creamy. What a nice alternative to the usual mashed potatoes. Salsa Verde is also a big go to when I eat Mexican Food so, paired with everything else we were definitely grubbin. The portions are good size and the prices were decent for being near the airport. We ordered 2 Salad Rolls. 1 Prawn and 1 Tofu and a Spring Roll. The Garden Rolls came with 3 different sauces. All three were absolutely delicious. 1. A Thai Peanut Sauce that was to die for. The leftovers I scooped onto my Pad thai as extra sauce. 2. Was a Miso Sauce that reminded me of a Chimichurri Sauce. I wasn't sure wich of the two sauces i liked more. Sauce # 3 was also very delicious. I forget what it was called. I looked up the menu online but didn't figure it out. Either way it was yummy. Not as much as the other 2 sauces but all 3 sauces were amazing. The Spring Rolls were good and crunchy, the sauce was sweet and flavorful. I judge all Thai Restaurants by the Pad Thai. We both had pad Thai. I had prawns, she ordered chicken. The plate presentation at Zab Pinto is beautiful. I loved the look of everything that came out of the kitchen. Our Pad Thai was no different. We both said "wow" when our food was set down. I was upset that I couldn't dive into my pad Thai. I tried but I'm pretty sure they use lava to cook food, lol. No problem, we still had appetizers to finish. After some chatting and waiting, finally, our food cooled down enough and I dove in head first. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the Pad Thai was one of the best I've ever had. I've eaten pad Thai at restaurants from Gresham to the coast and Zab has it figured out. The sauce was almost like butter in flavor. I wondered if they actually used butter. I wanted to ask but, sometimes it's the mystery that brings me back. After seeing all the curry other people ordered. My Wife and I are already wanting to come back for the curry. There is a bunch of items I want to try. Basically I want to eat everything on the menu at least one time.
