For an "Irish" bar they try to be something they're not; Irish. They are truly a regular bar painted green in suburban Katy, TX. Of course they sell Irish drinks like Jameson and Guinness. We knew going in this wasn't going to be anything legitimate, but we would have assumed they would know how to pour a Guinness beer.... nope they poured the Guinness straight down and served it immediately. If youre looking for an "Irish" pub in suburbia with a care free pour of Guinness, while rock and roll plays in the background, then look no further Mo's is the place for you. read more

Staff was friendly. My server Jessica was super nice and grabbed a bowl of ice for my pup. Beers were kinda expensive and the variety was just ok. That cookie is the bomb.com tho. Will def come back for the cookie. I wasn't that hungry and I could've killed that cookie by myself. The cheese fries were over seasoned and I'm usually the person complaining about not having enough seasoning. I'll come back but this isn't about to be a favorite spot. PS I don't expect to never see a bug on the patio but these mosquitoes were next level. I was swatting away 4-6 mosquitoes at once. Since the pandemic began we have been to 3 restaurants and seated outside. Mo's is one place that we have gone to 2x because we can sit on the patio, socially distanced with a nice breeze and enjoy drinks & have good pub food. Our kids love Mo's, it's always their fav place to go - they like the hot cookie with ice cream (me too!). The tables are distanced and we feel very comfortable dining here. Pretty good stuff! Savory and filling Irish food that reminded me of home Food was delicious, lots of beer specials, free samples of their featured draft, and plenty of options. I tried their shepherd's pie, which was served in a tiny cast iron kettle. Small but mighty! Husband had the corned beef and cabbage, and friend had nachos (which were way better than expected! We went on a Saturday night so it was BUSY, but there was no wait for a group of 3. College football on every TV. Noisy but the atmosphere was appropriate. Thoroughly enjoyed it! We had a very good dinner experience here on a Friday evening. The kids can play with the bean bag toss game on the back patio and we managed to snag a table there as it's much less noisy than inside. Our server was very prompt and attentive. Obviously the beer selection here is great and 3P - 6P they have a silly generous happy hour deal with $2.22 pints on a large set menu of beers and ciders. We started dinner just as this was ending so got in a round before 6P. I wanted to come here because it was the eve of St. Patty's day (we had conflicting plans the next day, 3-17) so I was delighted when they served those plastic champagne flutes with Guinness and the whole place toasted when @ 6P - St. Patty's day in Ireland. See, there's always an excuse to toast. :-) For dinner I ordered just the Mo's Rueben Boxty for a twist on an Irish traditional dish. This is basically a large potato pancake rolled up like a burrito with sauerkraut and minced corned beef inside. It has a delicious cheesy sauce and top and just the right amount of Thousand Island dressing inside. I avoid TI dressing most of the time but here it worked really well inside the dish. Tangy sauerkraut pairs well with the rich cheesy sauce and nicely seasoned beef. Now, the Mrs. was less happy with her black bean burger but she doesn't like those in general - I tasted it and it definitely needed more flavor in the patty, though that was at least handmade. OK, yes this place is a chain but the food seems to be all made from scratch and it's consistently pretty good fare paired with great drinks. read more

A very well decorated and friendly place, even for a chain. The staff here have always been nice. The bartenders are attentive and pretty quick, even on the busiest of days. The beer selection is very good and changes out in a good timely fashion; this is good and/or bad, as I see one of my favorite beers, Yellow Rose, get changed out .. This is a very popular place and is packed from Thursday to Saturday nights; to the point of no seating. Even with this much volume, management and staff still find a way to make it work smoothly, with little wait time (in my experience) for drinks and food. The only thing I wish was better (and the thing cost a star) was the food options. I have had the quesadillas and Reuben sandwich. Both were par at best in my opinion. Definitely a good place to get drinks with friends or coworkers after your shift, but maybe go somewhere else for your hunger read more

My girlfriends and I decided to have a night out and wanted to go to the movies than a restaurant or bar. We picked mos. Walked in and waited to be seated only to be told to seat anywhere so we chose a booth.. There was plenty of workers doing nothing the girl that told us we could seat in the bar area was sitting down at a booth with another employee, I thought they were customers at first till one walked up and told us were we could sit. We sat there for 10mins and out of all of the workers not a single person came us to us no one. It was pitiful. We definitely wont even bother to waste time going there again. They had music and it looks nice but a waste because of the lack of service. Went to bombshells instead way better service!! read more

My fiancé and decided we would try Mo's for some appetizers and drinks while we were out Christmas shopping in the area. Upon arriving it's your typical pub. We sat down at the bar and grabbed one of the menus to look at our options. As soon as my fiancé opened the menu a cockroach came running out of it!!! Disgusting.. What could have been worse about our experience, you ask?? The bartender noticed something was wrong and asked if everything was okay, so we told her about our situation. She immediately went to the Manager whom was standing their with the other employees and told him about the situation. His response to her must have been "the first rounds on us".. ummm okay. My husband and I were excited to hear that they were building a Mo's out here in Katy, because we have been to the one in Cypress a few times. There is ALWAYS a wait here in the evenings on the weekends, but if you have the "Wait List" app on your phone, you can add your name to the list ahead of time and you won't have to wait as long! Here's an awesome tip...do yourself a favor and ORDER THE ONION RINGS as an appetizer! They are soooo delicious! The batter they're fried in is so scrumptious! Plus, they are super cheap...only $4 for a pile of rings! "You're welcome!" Besides their onion rings, there hasn't been a meal I've had here that has been outstanding. I've tried their boneless buffalo wings, they were good but nothing amazing about them. I've also had their chicken tender/rib combo. PASS!!! The ribs were awful as were the cheese fries that came with it. I know their grilled cheese/tomato soup combo is very good. So you could definitely try that and be happy about your choice. :) Anyway, it's a fun bar atmosphere with live music on the weekends. First time visit....thoroughly impressed! The scratch kitchen left nothing to be desired! We started with perfect onion rings with jalapeño ranch dipping sauce. We also tried the fish and chips. They were good, but nothing exciting. Shepherd's pie was out of this world! Lean beef tips with veggies in a roux based gravy topped with garlic mashed potatoes! I nearly died it was so good! Last but not least... The jalapeño grilled cheese with bacon, avocado, and tomatoes on it. It was served with warm, savory roasted tomato soup that warmed my very soul! Homemade jalapeño cheese bread was grilled to perfection as well! Beer was good, but beer is always good! Definitely a keeper! read more

Mo Mo Mos and Whoas! Food was bland and not flavorful at all especially the dry hamburger...my 15 year old son was so disappointed bc he likes a good burger. This is not a real Irish Pub bc the fish n chips tasted greasy and not fresh fish, bland fries. My husband's fish wrap was again flavorless with a ton of iceberg lettuce and only a tiny piece of fish. The best thing we enjoyed was the fried pickles. Will not be back for a real meal. This place is best reserved for beer and appetizers. The dinner food is an afterthought. So mad I wasted $78 dollars on this bad tasteless overpriced food. Yuck read more

Great place to go and watch a sporting event, catch up with friends, or just chill. I have been here many time and have never had poor service. The food is always delicious not matter what I decide to try. I have yet to find an item on the menu that I do not like. The wait staff and managers are always helpful and eager to assist with anything from cleaning tables to making sure you glass stays full. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
