I normally get the chopped caesar here and like it. This last time there were pieces of mostly raw chicken in the sub.

Cute decor!

Chopped Ceasar with Chicken Cutlet Sub is a 10000/10 recommend! Mozzarella sticks are also the best I've ever had. Super affordable prices too! I live no where near somerville and parking is hard but will most definitely will hike to it. It's conveniently across from Davis Square T stop. Super cute shop set up. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly highly recommend!

This location serves two types of pizzas - the normal slices, and the thick ones. I prefer the thinner slices, but some prefer the more saucy, thicker chunks. They run out of "flavors" often, so they might be out of pepperoni/whatever flavor you're looking for. It's pretty cheap per slice, and the slices are filling too. I love how they make their pizzas too.

I stopped by Mortadella Head after a bike ride on the Minuteman. All in all, I was pretty impressed! The pizza was of decent quality and the restaurant itself was pretty nice. It's definitely a casual vibe, with lots of people grabbing takeout. No issues with the service, my pizza was ready right away. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back, but always looking for a solid slice!

I ordered delivery from Mortadella head for the chop Caesar sub and small fries. I feel like the sub has been all over my TikTok feed so consider me influenced, but it was worth it! The bread is nice and toasted with garlic butter, good level of dressing, lots of chicken, and some prosciutto under it all! It was great. Definitely stuffed and hard to eat without making a mess but oh well. The fries were pretty decent, thick but kinda soft (it's delivery, I'm not blaming them for that). The order also came really quickly. I'd definitely order again.

Ultimate Combo?

I assume I would've had a great experience if I had ordered in person! I had read a few poor experiences from DoorDash / ordering delivery specific to getting the wrong order, but took the risk. I only ordered a Chop Caesar and a gingerale. The receipt on the bag was correct but I was given a different sub. Something called a "123 Ultimate" Not a huge issue. But obviously not what I ordered. Was looking forward to trying the viral Chop Caesar as a chicken caesar salad wrap lover and wouldn't have waited over an hour for a ham and cheese sub

Great deli. Quick service and food was yummy. Tried their Caesar Sub and was not disappointed! The fried Chicken cutlet worked really well with the carder salad and bacon. The bread wasn't bad but it wasn't the best.

The chopped Caesar sub lives up to the hype! We also had a steak sub, and the steak was seasoned really well. Our meal had me considering getting them to cater my next family party! Their single slice servings are also huge. Will be coming back often.

This place is amazing! We had to try the chopped Caesar sub which was delicious - great dressing, plenty of chicken, delicious sub, and perfectly salty Proscuttio. They also offered us some pizzas - we tried the buffalo and meatball, delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and we'll definitely be back to try some more!

Honestly I've had their pizza before and was not very impressed but I love a chicken Caesar wrap so I figured I'd try their viral Chopped Caesar Sub. It was fine bit definitely need ed more meat and was half as full as they advertise. Also had way too much dressing. Overall, I wouldn't order again, especially for the price and what you get. The Caesar dressing isn't anything special and the chicken cutlet was very breast and dryer , you could easily replicate at home.

Order pepperoni, get cheese on both. This place sucks at looking at orders. Made it online.

So like as some sort of cosmic joke ai keep having issues at Mortadella head. Couple weeks ago, my pizza was ice cold when i picked it up at the time quoted. This last Saturday while it was snowing i called in to order a pizza, was told 35 minutes, total price and even a joke about walking in the snow. Only to show up and be told by the young child (red hair, curly i think) to tell me that he forgot to put my fucking order in. And if i could wait (with my dog) another 35 minutes for them to start it. So i left. Then tonight i place ANOTHER order online this time to avoid the kids forgetting my order again. 1 pepperoni Roman and 1 cheese. Time quoted was 6:36 and i showed up right around 6:40 to be told it would be 10 more minutes. So i walk my dog around for a bit come back and get my pizza. I walk home and open the boxes and i got two fucking cheese pizzas. I hate that your pizza is the best within walking distance. But at this point your establishment is akin to dunking donuts. No matter your order, you don't know what you're getting. So this was the final straw for me.

After seeing a few tiktoks about this place I was super excited to check it out, but was underwhelmed. I ordered the chopped Caesar sub and it was okay. The sub was huge but the rest of it lacked for me. The chicken was on the dry side, the lettuce was soggy and the bread was hard. It became difficult to eat it at times so I had to rip some pieces off. I wish I had a better experience for my first time especially with how much their subs cost. The inside is on the small side but there are tables to sit if you want to eat in. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. They serve other food so if I'm in the area I might try again.

Shockingly bad delivery experience. I ordered 3 things-- mozzarella sticks, chopped Caesar sandwich and boneless wings with balsamic bbq. I didn't get the mozzarella sticks. They messed up the sauce combo on the wings--gave me buffalo and balsamic glaze together, which is an inedible combination. I called the restaurant and asked that they hold the prosciutto on the sandwich, and they did not. Also, the bread was terrible and very clearly never toasted and some of the chicken was terribly dry.

Garbage pizza - over salted and not enjoyable. Disappointing since I had high hopes and expectations for this new addition to Davis.

We ordered online from their actual website, and the online menu was very clearly labeled and was SO thorough in explanations and checkmark boxes for variations and letting the place know about allergies and such. That is rare to find, and people with allergies always have to worry about that kind of thing, it's a whole to-do. IYKYK. If you have celiac, it may not be a great option as they have cross contamination for their pizzas. Anyways, now the grand reveal: I got a gluten free and dairy free pizza with various toppings and it was GREAT!! It's rare to find a pizza place that can fill the place of regular pizza when you have gluten & dairy allergies, but this comes close! I'm very happy with what I ordered. It is pricey, and their extras are pricey to add on. However, I don't really care as it is rare to be able to enjoy pizza for me. They also provide little gf/df marshmallow treats as a little dessert, for free. That was a nice surprise. Companies don't do stuff like this, so it goes a long way in my book! Overall, great allergy friendly pizza place, and also for regular folks who want a regular pizza. Everyone will be happy.

The great was great, and the vegan cheese was some of the better I've had on pizza. The meatballs didn't really taste like meatballs, but they were yummy. I held this year's birthday dinner here. I had a good impression of Coda Restaurant Group before,…read moreand this place did not disappoint. Prosciutto: The best dish of the meal. The prosciutto slices were perfectly salty, rich in fat, and smooth, wrapped around the refreshing sweetness of kumquats, the delicate creaminess of stracciatella cheese, the crunch and nutty aroma of pistachios, and topped with a smoky touch of sumac powder. It had a rich and distinct flavor profile while offering a gentle and comfortable taste. Spaghetti: The refreshing lemon and basil paired with the umami crab meat is a classic combination. Chili oil added a touch of spice and aroma, while pea tendrils provided a light herbal fragrance. The sauce was emulsified very smoothly, making it both rich and palatable, although the spaghetti itself didn't leave a particularly strong impression. Half Chicken Milanese: A large portion, perfect as a main course to share. The chicken cutlet was thick, fried to a fragrant perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Wrapped in lettuce and eaten with mayonnaise, it brought back memories of the fast food stalls outside my school when I was a child. This was my first time trying rhubarb stems. The tangy and refreshing taste cut through the richness, and the texture was like softer celery and firmer green bell peppers - quite interesting. Duck Bacon Pizza: The most highly rated pizza online, and it was truly delicious! The rich, savory flavor of the duck bacon, the succulent richness of the shimeji mushrooms, and the mellow sweetness of the caramelized onions, combined with the creamy cheese base, made it a calorie bomb, but I still felt it was the right choice. Unfortunately, the crust was a bit hard, making it difficult to cut with a knife. Cotechino Pizza: This was my first time trying a pizza with sweet potatoes, and I couldn't help but admire their innovation. The colors were vibrant, and the sweetness of the sweet potatoes paired with the smoky aroma of Cotechino sausage bits created a full yet harmonious flavor, evoking the feeling of being in the southern Italian countryside in early autumn, basking in the bright sunshine and the satisfaction of a bountiful harvest. The restaurant offered menus printed with "Happy Birthday," and the waiters provided professional cake-cutting service. Overall, a very comfortable experience.

Service: Server was patient with us waiting for our full party to arrive and us taking time to figure out what to order. Food came out at different times, which was okay as there wasn't a ton of table space for all that we ordered. Drinks: I got the prickly pear gimlet which was delicious but also very tiny. Food: Most of what we got was delicious and interesting. We got 2 'snacks' and 5 dishes for 4 people as well a one desert we all shared and it was plenty of food. We started with the robiola bosina cheese w/ preserved fig honey - tasty but not a stand out and the eggplant caponata, which was standout delicious, highly recommend. This came with very good quality bread but we had to ask for more as the cheese/eggplant to bread ratio was off. Loved: Bucatini verde - absolutely delicious, HIGHLY recommend Octopus - deliciously deep grilled flavor with tasty broth, also highly recommend Liked: Charred sweet potato - very good Eh: Snap pea caesar - could have used more dressing, the radishes were good but mostly just tasted like eating straight snap peas Cotechino pizza - way too much crust to toppings ratio and the sweet potato overpowered the other flavors making it super sweet For desert we got a "cheesecake," interesting but didn't love Value: For all of the above plus 3 drinks came out to a little over ~$200, split four ways about ~$50 per person. A bit pricey but we left full and with a little pizza leftover and some of the dishes were excellent. Overall really enjoyed eating here and would return.

I just had a disappointing pizza experience at Area 4 (rated 4.4, one of the highest in the area)…read more My sister even said she preferred dining hall food, and we both agreed that Domino's was better. The service was poor from the start. The waitress told us we would be seated at the bar. She rolled her eyes and appeared visibly annoyed when I asked if it was okay that my sister was under 21. She said it was fine as long as we didn't order drinks, then seated us at the bar. We were only given drink menus. When the bartender came over to take our order, I had to ask for a food menu myself. Our seating was also uncomfortable. We were placed right next to the bar/server station. My sister got splashed when drinks were being opened, and servers repeatedly bumped into her chair while passing. We ordered the Carnivore pizza. The pizza itself was quite salty. The dough was decent, but not impressive. I kept trying to convince myself it was good, but it fell short. Pizza: 3/5 Service: 2/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Would I return? No. Overall, I was surprised by the 4.4 rating. My expectations were much higher based on the reviews.

The dining room is fairly small with some bar seating available as well. It was clean and bright. It took about 7 mins for the server to come over and she lead with "are you ready to order?" I guess simple pleasantries are useless anyway. We knew our drinks and appetizers order but not what we wanted for pizza yet so we ordered those and told her we'd order pizzas when the apps and drinks came. She came back about 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order yet. Feeling pressured, we ordered thinking that perhaps they close soon (not the case). The bartender delivered our drinks a few minutes later and about 5 mins after that both the appetizers and pizza arrived at the same time. Besides the fact that our table wasn't large enough to accommodate all that food and drink, it was never our intention to eat our appetizers with our meal. The good news is that the food was hot, fresh and tasty. The potato bombs were excellent. Crispy home fry like potatoes and the peppers had a nice heat. I would love to try the popper version next time. The pizzas were good too, but be prepared for floppy and slightly under done base crust but a perfectly charred edge crust. I find many wood fired pizza to come this way but I did see other reviews mention this as a negative. The bill comes in a small ball jar with a delicious rice crispy treat. While the jar worked it must have made it hard to see that I dropped my credit card in it, so after the waitress walked by a few times I removed the card and made it visible on the table. When the tab came to sign I was not given a pen. I should have walked out and just let them charge me for just the tab but I cannot stiff waitstaff, even when it's poor service. My only hope is that it was the waitress's first day and she somehow figures out the typical cadence and procedure involved in waiting tables. Food was a solid 4 but service was a 2 so I landed on a 3. I would definitely go back hoping for a better server.
