Ive finally got a chance to check out Morrow Steak and it did not disappoint! Celebrated my anniversary here tonight and the service was great. Our waiter, Josúe (Sway) was fantastic. Very attentive and gave great recommendations. I loved both drinks he recommended, Soleils Kiss and Jazzy Julia Punch and both were very good. I opted for two appetizers as my entree, the Mardi Gras Shrimp and crabcakes. Both were really good. I loved the pickled vegetables that topped the shrimp. Also had the seafood mac and cheese and broccoli I which were both very good. My husband had the stuffed chicken which I got to try and it was juicy and flavorful. We walked in at 9 thinking that we would be rushed since they close at 10 during the week. In fact, it was the opposite! We sat at the bar and was warmly greeted by one of the bartenders Tim. He introduced the other 2 bartenders, Earl and Leann. We started with some cocktails, turducken dumplings and split the kale salad. For dinner, we split the snapper. I had got the garlic mash and my homegirl got the loaded baked potato. Everything was delicious. We were sitting next to a young couple and a single man. My friend celebrated her 40th birthday and this is where she decided to eat. I had read mixed reviews on Yelp so I went in with no expectations. Our reservation was at 4 and of course we had to wait for the entire or majority to be seated. While waiting 3 of us had the opportunity to experience the bar. Riley was amazing and so was the other young woman. The drinks were strong. I personally don't care for strong drinks. Riley fixed it for me and it was perfect. I ordered the bread that was so popular and bomb, they were sooo good and moist. This is a MUST try for first timers because it's so bomb! The Caesar salad was so good and my entire the chicken stuff breast was phenomenal!!! Like really the bomb in my opinion. The service was really good as well! I would definitely recommend this place. We visited New Orleans for my best friend's birthday and was recommended by our hotel staff to check out this spot. They were right! I had the crab stuffed chicken and broccolini and I left without a to go plate! It tastes great! It's a small spot, very intimate and pretty nicely decorated. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at Morrow Steak after checking out the Virgin Hotels Holiday Pop Up. Reservations were easily made online an hour prior to time. The doorman and hostesses were really warm and inviting. We were seated quickly and water on the table shortly after we were sat. Shout out to Leanne, our server as she was really amazing! I did find it a little strange that they do not offer complimentary bread like most steakhouses, but they do have a bread appetizer you can order. I had the stuffed chicken, which was really good. We'd been eyeing a reservation at Morrow Steak for a while and finally snagged one while in town for the night. The space itself has a cool, modern vibe -- definitely feels like a spot you'd get dressed up for and enjoy a night out. The bill matched the $$$$ price tag on YELP, but overall it didn't quite deliver the wow factor the Yelp hype had us expecting. We started with the Turducken dumplings -- a unique idea but unfortunately a miss. The filling was dry and grainy, and the dumplings were barely warm. The Parker bread had a good topping, but the bread itself tasted like unheated King's Hawaiian -- moist, but not fresh or warm like homemade bread. For the main we shared the 11oz filet, which was a generous cut and cooked as ordered. While it's not advertised as prime, the quality was noticeably average. The standout of the night was easily the truffle fries -- crispy, flavorful, and worth ordering again. We finished with the Ube cheesecake. It had a nice coconut-flavored whipped topping, but the cheesecake itself was slightly overcooked and a bit mealy. Sweet touch: they wrote "Happy Anniversary" on the plate and the server mentioned it, even though we weren't celebrating anything -- a little odd, but well-intentioned. Overall, Morrow Steak wasn't bad -- we had a good time, but with so many incredible restaurants in NOLA, we probably wouldn't return. Still, if a friend wanted to go, we wouldn't discourage them. For our entrees we went with the Cowboy Ribeye and the Seafood Mac & Cheese. The Ribeye was excellent cooked perfectly Medium, nicely seasoned and perfect char. The Mac & Cheese was not to my liking but I will give it another try. It just lacked a little flavor, and the seafood didn't really come through. But it was not terrible at all. The restaurant was extremely lively and busy so we had to wait a few minutes for our table to be ready but otherwise the service was perfect! Our server, Theles, was absolutely amazing--one of the best servers I've ever had. He was attentive, answered all our questions, made great recommendations, and didn't miss a beat. The lady in the green dress that brought us to our table wasn't friendly at all. No greeting, no expressions, no your server will be with you soon. Nothing! I'd return just for the bread alone! Our entrees slightly missed the mark. My daughter had the Wagyu tacos with a side of fries. She liked the tacos but not the fries. My husband and I both had the 8 oz filet cooked medium well. His steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, but the temperature was lukewarm. My steak was seasoned good , but lukewarm and it was cooked medium rare. I'm not one to send food back but I couldn't eat it. I gave it to the manager and asked for it to be cooked more with less red and also explained the temperature was not hot. He apologized and returned about 7 minutes later. He didn't wait around for me to cut it again. The second time the steak was hotter but there was still absolutely too much red inside. I just packed it to go. The sides were a miss. The loaded baked potato was not cooked thoroughly. It was hard in certain spots. The seafood Mac and cheese lacked flavor and was soupy. Definitely not worth the price of $38. It was my birthday which was acknowledged when I checked in and by the server, however there is no complementary bday dessert like other steakhouses. We opted out of dessert. Not sure why the reviews are so high other than for atmosphere and staff. We started with the Turducken Pot Stickers. We sent them back because they tasted off and gamey. In retrospect, both of us had stomach issues that night. They replaced them with the Fat Boi sushi rolls and while the components seemed good, they were served warm. This was not very good. We then ordered the ribeye and baked potato. The steak was supposed to be prime and dry aged. The steak was so thin it could not be cooked medium rare. This steak was the quality of Outback when it used to be good. The baked potato was cold and I did not want to torture the server with any more complaints. Our table ordered crab cakes as a starter, followed by ribeyes, stuffed chicken, and lamb entrees. Each dish was cooked to perfection at varying temperatures, resulting in juicy steaks. I appreciated the à la carte menu for its variety we tried the loaded baked potato, mac and cheese, and kale salad. Everything was flavorful and served hot. While my cousin enjoyed the 'blue' cocktail but couldn't finish it, I found my mock mojitos tangy and refreshing. Our servers, whose names I don't recall, were attentive and provided excellent guidance on food and drink selections. I should've reserved Chophouse like my wife recommended. We typically go there for our anniversary. Ambience It's definitely a vibe. The furnishings, music, decor, and lighting make for a fun and relaxing space. 10/10 Service We waited 20 minutes for our table, despite having a 5:30pm reservation. I had the OpenTable app open and was ready to reserve a table at Chophouse had we waited another 5 minutes. Strike #1. Parking wasn't an issue, though. Our server Nick was ok. He would go awol on occasion, but maybe that was to be expected because the restaurant was packed. Unfortunately, we didn't receive the level of service commensurate with a steakhouse. My wife and I tend to order several appetizers and share a steak. I ordered the ~22oz cowboy ribeye ($75) and asked it be cut in half. Nick said they only cut the tomahawk ($150) and porterhouse steaks ($112). Since I'm the customer, they should be able to cut any steak I politely ask them to cut. So, I told him we'd cut it ourselves. The look on his face when I ordered the one steak and when he brought it out was one of we're being cheap. Obviously, I can't read Nick's mind, but that's the vibe I received. We've never encountered such at Chophouse, Desi Vega's, Mr. John's, or Ruth's Chris. There's more yeast in the rolls at Texas Roadhouse and Sister Schubert's in your grocer's freezer. And at $13--the bread isn't complimentary--it wasn't a good value. Wagyu tacos: 7/10: the ones at Applebee's are superior. These were light and crispy, but difficult to eat because the beef doesn't break like you would expect, so you end up sticking the whole thing in your mouth, but that's after the shell has broken into a few pieces. It was our 1st time there and she was patient with us..we didn't order an appetizer but we did order a few drinks..you know the normal for me lol Strawberry Hennessy margarita and she ordered a Desire Sidecare..listen if you wanna feel good order the Desire Sidecar lol that Strawberry Hennessy Margarita was hitting too..I had to order 1 to go..for the food I ordered ribeye steak & baked potato..the steak was so juicy and seasoned..the baked potato was a lil dry to be honest..my partner had the stuffed chicken with the baked potato..she loved the chicken! The presentation of the food was pretty also..the restaurant was clean and the setting in there was nice..we will definitely be back! The security guard at the door with the dreads deserves a raise..idc how much he makes he needs to make more..dude was better than the hostesses and very polite..that goes above for the customers coming into the restaurant and he's just the door.. read more

We celebrated my sister's graduation at Morrow's Steakhouse, and they rolled out the red carpet for us! The exclusive seating made us feel so special, and coming during happy hour was a win...the drinks were absolutely on point. Then came the food and let me tell you, there were no leftovers because everything was that good lol. This was hands down the best dining experience ever! I was in town last weekend for weezyana fest and my friend was able to grab us an 11:30pm reservation. Even though the time was less than desired for dinner I'm glad I committed to going. The food was absolutely phenomenal. It's a very different vibe than morrows which is the restaurant I used to frequent when I lived in nola. Morrow Steak is upscale and the service matches it. I ordered the filet mignon with shrimp on top and the steak was seasoned to perfection. My friend and I shared the seafood Mac and cheese and thst was really good as well! But also I can't leave out the starter and maybe even the star of the show the pull apart biscuits. Between the softness of the biscuit and the cinnamon butter they give to compliment it's a complete win in my book. I will definitely be back next time I'm in nola. read more

This experience was more than we expected. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was delicious. We started with the mouth watering Parker bread and the turducken potstickers. Both were very good. I had lamb chops and hubby had prime rib eye with shared garlic mash potatoes and broccolini. The food was 5 stars and the service was excellent. Our waiter was Damien. Wonderful conversation and lots of laughs. Loved his kind spirit. We will go back again and bring family and friends. read more
