If you know me, you know Morrow's is one of my favorite NoLa spots, so trying Morrow Steak was a must. This location offers a more grown-and-sexy atmosphere, with beautiful ambiance and elevated aesthetics that set the tone for a great dining experience. My table ordered a variety of appetizers, including the tempura cauliflower (surprisingly delicious), tacos, gumbo, and sushi, each dish appeared to be thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. For my entrée, I chose the ribeye steak with a loaded baked potato, and it was perfectly cooked and absolutely satisfying. Every dish we tried delivered. If I had to rank this location among my favorite in the Morrow chain, it would likely fall within my top five (Sun Chong and Morrow's still are my top two). Still, Morrow Steak is a strong addition to the list and definitely worth a visit for the ambiance, elevated menu, and overall experience.

Bread . Reminds me of Texas Roadhouse vibes

A few friends and I went last night and OMG. I will be dreaming about that bread FOREVER. The bread gave off Texas Roadhouse vibes, but 1000 times better. Let's say I could eat that bread alone and not feel one bit guilty. We had the shrimp appetizer, we also got the cauliflower. Don't sleep on these. For my dinner I got the salmon with crab meat on top! OH MY! My friend got the stuffed chicken and that was delicious! All so flavorful. Everything was cooked to perfection. If you have never been please add this to your list. I absolutely LOVE this spot! The server that I had, Erica, was AMAZING! She was attentive but not overwhelming. This girl was on it! The kind of service you get at fine dining in the quarter is what comes to mind! I already know what I'm getting next time !

Had a reservation and still had to wait over 15 mins for a seat. Didn't love that. It's super dark inside so it's hard to read the menu without using your phone for light. The decor is gorgeous inside.. Ok now to the food, the food was really good. My husband had the king salmon with the colossal crabmeat Oscar added. His salmon was cooked to perfection and the crabmeat was delicious. I ordered the stuffed chicken breasts with the garlic mash. The chicken was really good, I could have used a little more seasoning on the mash.. but it wasn't bad. My sister had the lamb chops and she mentioned they were also cooked to perfection, my brother had the steak and had to pay $9 for steak sauce (that was a little high for a little thing of sauce) but he did say it was good.. all in all we had a good meal..

It's located downtown New Orleans so parking can be tricky. We found a parking garage for @$8 per hour. Some of our party party's in the street. We visited for a surprise birthday party this weekend. We had a very large party (13) and we were seated near the back. They won't seat you until the majority of your party arrives. We had a variety of food choices and I chose the Ribeye steak and my wife had the salmon and we shared the seafood Mac n cheese. The table shared 3 Parker breads shaped like a large flower. It was soft, warm and delicious. The service was pretty good as we only had one waitress. The food was exceptionally delicious. Just fyi they charge for everything ( steak sauce, truffle butter etc). I would definitely return in the future.

10/10 enjoyed this restaurant. We came for dinner and although we didn't have a reservation they were able to find us a table pretty promptly. Great service, our server was friendly and made great suggestions. We ordered steaks cooked to perfection. The food was delicious and flavorful. Beautiful decor. I look forward to returning here whenever I visit again.

First, the establishment is a vibe. Some people would complain about the music being too loud, but for me, it was fine. I didn't come to dance. I came to eat. The cowboy rib eye was cooked to perfection (medium) and lay in that sauce. YUM!! They don't have any A1 sauce. But it didn't need it either. I'm just a sauce snob. The staff was so friendly. The place was so beautiful. It's definitely one of those places where if you wanna have a nice steak dinner, that's where you go! Even the bathroom was beautiful

We ended up here by accident. We were attempting to go to another restaurant with a similar name. But ended up here and decided to stay. Upon arrival we were immediately seated. The dining room is large and very modern. The music was a little loud for a steakhouse but definitely was a vibe with a mix of new and old school r&b. The menu had something for everyone. They did have gumbo but only seafood gumbo which was slightly disappointing. We ordered an array of appetizers and cocktails. The bar was very slow especially given the restaurant was not packed. But our server was amazing so it was forgiving. One of my dining companions felt their food was a bit undercooked for their liking and it was promptly addressed with the kitchen manager or chef coming to the table displaying an above and beyond attitude and willingness to make it right. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The portions were generous and we all left with a take home container. The desserts were phenomenal. It was my first time having Ube which was a cheesecake flavor offered by the restaurant and the crème brûlée was a table pleaser. I definitely recommend!

My girls and I dined at marrows for my friend 40th birthday. We were promptly seated and our server was very helpful and attentive The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the RnB playing throughout. I ordered the seafood Mac and cheese and a steak. Seafood Mac was shareable and tasty. My steak was on the cooler side but decent. My friend said the same about her steak. My other friend mentioned that her entree needed salt. The crab cakes were tasty and the shrimp were ok. I did not care for the gumbo at all. Very expensive restaurant so I expected a little more. I gave 4 stars based on my meal only (more like a 3.8-4)

Loved Morrow Steak! The decor and ambiance are upscale and really nice, definitely gives that classy, date night vibe. Metered parking was super convenient, right outside the restaurant. The food was amazing from start to finish. The brioche was warm and buttery, the Kung Pao cauliflower had the perfect kick, and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the drinks were on point too. Overall, great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here! The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was great, and the food was amazing too. We started with the surf and turf roll; it was hands down the best surf and turf roll I've had and the bar was set from there. As an entree, I had the 8 oz. filet + chimichurri and sun butter shrimp. The creole butter sauce was slightly oily and was not loaded with flavor, but it still enhanced the steak as it was supposed to. For sides, the seafood mac and cheese as well as the broccolini were decent choices. The mac and cheese could've used a bit more seasoning. We also had the off-menu praline beignets that were delicious! Overall, the sushi was still the star of the show! I can't remember the names of the drinks, but one was essentially a rum punch - delicious! And the other was veryyyy good as well! This was truly a dining experience as everything had some aspect of a performance to it, which I always enjoy.

Morrow Steak is a beautiful space. I recommend making a reservation even though we walked in. They were able to accommodate us in under an hour but there is not much space to wait. Which is why I strongly suggest making a reservation. But wait time was super reasonable for walking in on a Saturday night. The staff is great from doorman, hosts, bartenders, servers everyone we encountered was friendly. The cocktails were excellent they also have a nice wine program. The food was good! My only small complaint was my steak was overcooked. It was still good juicy and flavorful so not worth sending it back. I also wish the chimichurri was room temp and not cold. Overall a solid dining experience. I would recommend definitely on par with other local steakhouses. Going back this week to check out the happy hour.

This restaurant absolutely lives up to the hype! From the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted by the hostesses to being escorted to your table, everything feels special. I definitely recommend making reservations because it gets busy quickly. We started with the fluffiest rolls you could imagine. For appetizers, we tried the Mardi Gras shrimp and cauliflower bites--both were delicious. Our entrées included the stuffed chicken with broccolini and the special of the day, a cowboy ribeye paired with a lobster tail. Everything was seasoned so perfectly that the lobster didn't even need butter sauce. Dessert was the star of the show: the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever seen, and it was absolutely to die for! The portions are generous--perfect for sharing. The drinks were also fantastic, with the Jazzy Julia Punch being my personal favorite. On top of the food, the service was excellent. Our servers were attentive, and the manager made it a point to stop by every table, which added a personal touch. Overall, Morrow's delivered on every level and I can't wait to go back! The restaurant had amazing ambience.

seafood mac and cheese 9/10. absolutely loved it.

We went here on a Sunday evening for dinner. Parking was pretty easy, as there is street parking readily accessible. We were lucky enough to get a spot right out front. We were greeted at the door and the staff seemed very attentive. We were then walked to our table. I immediately noticed 1. that the decor in the entire space was very aesthetic and 2. that the music was quite loud. I think the music could have been turned down just a bit, it would still keep the lively feel but I could better hear my partner and our server. Out of everything we ordered, I really liked the seafood mac and cheese. It was 10/10 I wouldn't have changed anything. There are some pretty big chunks of garlic, so if you're not a big garlic fan, beware. The ube cheesecake was great though it had a slightly strong salty taste. I did like that they offered an ube cheesecake, as I thought this was very unique. Overall, our experience at Morrow Steak was pretty nice. It's definitely worth stopping by just make sure to set a reservation. We also previously really enjoyed their sister restaurant, Morrows.

Kenji Omakase will be a new annual special occasion go to. Japanese Omakase experience and style, a one of a kind food experience where every course is a harmonious blend of flavors, textures and eye appeal. The sushi chef talks you through each course after he places it on you platter. I asked if these were supposed to be eaten by hand if you wanted to, he agreed most people traditionally eat these that way. The flavors were buttery and tangy, textures delicate and sometimes a small crunch with fried scallions etc. We had tuna, ocean trout that was Similar to salmon but a different shade of orange, scallops and finished with waygu beef. It was amazing with each course the flavors seem to improve. A great experience, if you are any type of sushi fan or even on the fence, this could easily make you a sushi lover. I give this a complete recommendation. Try Kenji you will be very happy you did. The ambiance was fun also traditional Japanese. I'm sorry but I'm not sure if I agree with the current ratings of 4.7 this place has (as of Feb 2,…read more2025.) To me, based on our experience tonight, it's none other than a super over-hyped sushi restaurant that only has a high end feel to it. Service: was decent. We arrived at the place 11 minutes before our reservation time of 5pm. Since my daughter works in the restaurant industry, as a politeness, we didn't go inside until 4:59pm even though one of the workers came to the door and unlocked it at 4:51pm. Once inside he knew we were the 5pm reservation. He was polite but somehow his whole demeanor lacked friendliness. Menu: Even though the drink menu was an actual physical one, the food menu is online. How strange. After scanning the QR code, we were hoping to see a good selection of food items. But to our surprise, the food menu is/was very small. Actually this place's main thing is nothing but "omakase" where if you choose to order from the a la cart section, the choices are so limited (we were here in town from Denver, CO. After eating some deep-fried stuff for the last few days, we felt that we were truly healthy food or salad depleted; just to clarify, we didn't show up to to this restaurant just to eat salad because after all, this is a sushi restaurant. We love sushi. And yet we were hoping for some decently sized salad. Unfortunately none is/was found on the menu. I even personally asked the guy to see if the sushi chef could whip up something but he gave me a nonchalant no.) We still believed this place could do some magical things so we ordered a bowl of miso soup, oyster tarter (lobster tarter replacement), tuna, salmon and yellowtail nigiris. Miso soup, for the price of $10, was extremely small. Also the entire soup was lukewarm to a point where the center of the small tofu pieces was still cold. Ugh... All the nirigis tasted fresh but I didn't care for the sweet sauce (mainly used for unagi/eel) on the salmon nigiri. Why?? I've never had a salmon nigiri prepared this way.) The only item that was impressive was the oyster tarter (not on the menu as this was the replacement item for the lobster tarter.) This was excellent where we could have easily ordered another one but at this point, we didn't want to spend anymore $$ as all items on the menu are not cheap here. We are a fan of yuzu. The only dessert item (once again, there is only one dessert on the menu) is yuzu tart or something like that. One of the sushi chefs informed us though that the online menu hadn't been quite updated for this so he said it would be a yuzu sponge cake type thing. We decided to give it a try. This, however, failed to impress us either as it was a very much average sponge cake, nothing more at all. We didn't order any drinks besides the water so the final bill was about $75 with some change. Well, tonight's overall experience of ours didn't justify this amount in any way possible. There was another sushi restaurant that had the similar ratings with similar location (when we searched it yesterday.) Maybe we should have chosen that one instead. Disappointed....

If the chef is reading reviews... switch the miso soup with a mini-ramen to give the meal more substance.

Greeted by hostess and wished me happy birthday while they were making some adjustments to my table, my table was giant, chandelier was nice japanese style, lighting was warm and i liked the big table as i always like to order lots of food with no budget at all, Server greeted us with smile and explained the drinks menu first took our drinks order and then gave us a food menu which also explained in english as some of the words were in japanese. Drinks came on time and food wise some appetizers came on time and some took way longer which is fine as long as food kept On coming thats all matters to me and my guest. Main course was hot and every presentation of the food was impressive and photogenic. I Liked the big rock ice cube with the restaurant logo on it. I ordered every dessert they had on menu and all of them were amazing. The only thing is i was expecting atleast 1 dessert complimentary since i spend $3000 and ordered everything on the menu that could have been a nice touch... order includes 2 sushi basket/platter where each sushi is $7-$10 so be careful when you buy sushi platter without looking at the price.
