If you know me, you know Morrow's is one of my favorite NoLa spots, so trying Morrow Steak was a must. This location offers a more grown-and-sexy atmosphere, with beautiful ambiance and elevated aesthetics that set the tone for a great dining experience. My table ordered a variety of appetizers, including the tempura cauliflower (surprisingly delicious), tacos, gumbo, and sushi, each dish appeared to be thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. For my entrée, I chose the ribeye steak with a loaded baked potato, and it was perfectly cooked and absolutely satisfying. Every dish we tried delivered. If I had to rank this location among my favorite in the Morrow chain, it would likely fall within my top five (Sun Chong and Morrow's still are my top two). Still, Morrow Steak is a strong addition to the list and definitely worth a visit for the ambiance, elevated menu, and overall experience.

Hey guys I'm battling with this review as it got bad then got cleaned up quickly. Let me get you up to speed. We / our party of 9 arrived at MS with reservation for 9 on Thursday. We Uber'd to avoid parking hassle, once seated we tried the Parker bread it is amazing! A must have. I ordered the steak frites cooked to a medium temp with crispy fries. Food arrived lukewarm and I started to send it back but I was hungry and everyone else in our party their food arrived. So I took it the problem was well I'm not gonna slam them but the manager Landon is a rock star as my order was replaced and 2nd time around all was well. This place is a good spot for a meet up or a nice evening meal. And if an issue does arise they will make it right

Bread . Reminds me of Texas Roadhouse vibes

A few friends and I went last night and OMG. I will be dreaming about that bread FOREVER. The bread gave off Texas Roadhouse vibes, but 1000 times better. Let's say I could eat that bread alone and not feel one bit guilty. We had the shrimp appetizer, we also got the cauliflower. Don't sleep on these. For my dinner I got the salmon with crab meat on top! OH MY! My friend got the stuffed chicken and that was delicious! All so flavorful. Everything was cooked to perfection. If you have never been please add this to your list. I absolutely LOVE this spot! The server that I had, Erica, was AMAZING! She was attentive but not overwhelming. This girl was on it! The kind of service you get at fine dining in the quarter is what comes to mind! I already know what I'm getting next time !

Had a reservation and still had to wait over 15 mins for a seat. Didn't love that. It's super dark inside so it's hard to read the menu without using your phone for light. The decor is gorgeous inside.. Ok now to the food, the food was really good. My husband had the king salmon with the colossal crabmeat Oscar added. His salmon was cooked to perfection and the crabmeat was delicious. I ordered the stuffed chicken breasts with the garlic mash. The chicken was really good, I could have used a little more seasoning on the mash.. but it wasn't bad. My sister had the lamb chops and she mentioned they were also cooked to perfection, my brother had the steak and had to pay $9 for steak sauce (that was a little high for a little thing of sauce) but he did say it was good.. all in all we had a good meal..

It's located downtown New Orleans so parking can be tricky. We found a parking garage for @$8 per hour. Some of our party party's in the street. We visited for a surprise birthday party this weekend. We had a very large party (13) and we were seated near the back. They won't seat you until the majority of your party arrives. We had a variety of food choices and I chose the Ribeye steak and my wife had the salmon and we shared the seafood Mac n cheese. The table shared 3 Parker breads shaped like a large flower. It was soft, warm and delicious. The service was pretty good as we only had one waitress. The food was exceptionally delicious. Just fyi they charge for everything ( steak sauce, truffle butter etc). I would definitely return in the future.

We ended up here by accident. We were attempting to go to another restaurant with a similar name. But ended up here and decided to stay. Upon arrival we were immediately seated. The dining room is large and very modern. The music was a little loud for a steakhouse but definitely was a vibe with a mix of new and old school r&b. The menu had something for everyone. They did have gumbo but only seafood gumbo which was slightly disappointing. We ordered an array of appetizers and cocktails. The bar was very slow especially given the restaurant was not packed. But our server was amazing so it was forgiving. One of my dining companions felt their food was a bit undercooked for their liking and it was promptly addressed with the kitchen manager or chef coming to the table displaying an above and beyond attitude and willingness to make it right. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The portions were generous and we all left with a take home container. The desserts were phenomenal. It was my first time having Ube which was a cheesecake flavor offered by the restaurant and the crème brûlée was a table pleaser. I definitely recommend!

My girls and I dined at marrows for my friend 40th birthday. We were promptly seated and our server was very helpful and attentive The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the RnB playing throughout. I ordered the seafood Mac and cheese and a steak. Seafood Mac was shareable and tasty. My steak was on the cooler side but decent. My friend said the same about her steak. My other friend mentioned that her entree needed salt. The crab cakes were tasty and the shrimp were ok. I did not care for the gumbo at all. Very expensive restaurant so I expected a little more. I gave 4 stars based on my meal only (more like a 3.8-4)

Loved Morrow Steak! The decor and ambiance are upscale and really nice, definitely gives that classy, date night vibe. Metered parking was super convenient, right outside the restaurant. The food was amazing from start to finish. The brioche was warm and buttery, the Kung Pao cauliflower had the perfect kick, and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the drinks were on point too. Overall, great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here! The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was great, and the food was amazing too. We started with the surf and turf roll; it was hands down the best surf and turf roll I've had and the bar was set from there. As an entree, I had the 8 oz. filet + chimichurri and sun butter shrimp. The creole butter sauce was slightly oily and was not loaded with flavor, but it still enhanced the steak as it was supposed to. For sides, the seafood mac and cheese as well as the broccolini were decent choices. The mac and cheese could've used a bit more seasoning. We also had the off-menu praline beignets that were delicious! Overall, the sushi was still the star of the show! I can't remember the names of the drinks, but one was essentially a rum punch - delicious! And the other was veryyyy good as well! This was truly a dining experience as everything had some aspect of a performance to it, which I always enjoy.

10/10 enjoyed this restaurant. We came for dinner and although we didn't have a reservation they were able to find us a table pretty promptly. Great service, our server was friendly and made great suggestions. We ordered steaks cooked to perfection. The food was delicious and flavorful. Beautiful decor. I look forward to returning here whenever I visit again.

First, the establishment is a vibe. Some people would complain about the music being too loud, but for me, it was fine. I didn't come to dance. I came to eat. The cowboy rib eye was cooked to perfection (medium) and lay in that sauce. YUM!! They don't have any A1 sauce. But it didn't need it either. I'm just a sauce snob. The staff was so friendly. The place was so beautiful. It's definitely one of those places where if you wanna have a nice steak dinner, that's where you go! Even the bathroom was beautiful

This restaurant absolutely lives up to the hype! From the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted by the hostesses to being escorted to your table, everything feels special. I definitely recommend making reservations because it gets busy quickly. We started with the fluffiest rolls you could imagine. For appetizers, we tried the Mardi Gras shrimp and cauliflower bites--both were delicious. Our entrées included the stuffed chicken with broccolini and the special of the day, a cowboy ribeye paired with a lobster tail. Everything was seasoned so perfectly that the lobster didn't even need butter sauce. Dessert was the star of the show: the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever seen, and it was absolutely to die for! The portions are generous--perfect for sharing. The drinks were also fantastic, with the Jazzy Julia Punch being my personal favorite. On top of the food, the service was excellent. Our servers were attentive, and the manager made it a point to stop by every table, which added a personal touch. Overall, Morrow's delivered on every level and I can't wait to go back! The restaurant had amazing ambience.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. This is not a casual dinner spot, but for a celebration or a night where you want a full experience, Doris Metropolitan absolutely delivers.

Overall, the experience was average and did not fully meet those expectations. The charcuterie and cheese board, priced at $68, was underwhelming in both portion size and value. It included only six thin slices of cured meat and a small selection of cheeses. Unfortunately, one of the cheeses had an unpleasant flavor that made it inedible for our table. The bread service was a highlight, offering a nice variety of breads and accompaniments. The ribeye was cooked well and enjoyable, but it did not stand out from what I've experienced at other upscale steakhouses. The five-cheese couscous was the biggest disappointment, as it lacked the rich, flavorful profile its description suggested. While the service and presentation were appreciated, the overall dining experience did not justify the high expectations or the price point.

The butter was that perfect whipped butter that i could eat all day. Next up was a glass of wine that i really enjoyed throughout service. The meat came out and we ordered the porterhouse that fed a good amount of us. Aspargus was brought to the table as well as my baked potato. We had multiple servers, our drinks never ran dry, we had plenty of warm French bread and it didn't take long to get the food. I split a steak (22oz Ribeye) and my favorite part is that I can get a side of onion rings and fries together. I am not sure why other restaurants won't do this. I would not be able to eat a huge pile of these large onion rings or fries so the half and half is genius. I also tried the creamed spinach, which could use a tad bit more seasoning. The live music established a really nice ambiance. There were customers sitting around the piano having drinks while the musician was performing. It was an excellent Friday night experience. I also had the crab bisque. It was okay okay. The fifth star is because we left a gift bag outside of the restaurant and didn't think about it until dinner was over. Some amazing person turned it in and the staff remembered that one of their customers had the bag so, they held it in the back until we came forward. Amazing.

Already there she gave attitude and said I don't know how else to explain it to you in a rude tone. After we finished our food, we asked her to take multiple cards for the check and she told us to write on the back what to charge each card. Managing a group of this size--split between two rooms of 30 and 60--is no small feat, but the staff and service were fast, efficient, and professional from start to finish. The Turtle Soup was a major talking point for our guests. For many, it was a first-time experience. I personally preferred the deep, savory profile of the soup on its own, but the traditional tableside sherry pour added a unique complexity that made it a must-try for anyone visiting. For the main course, the U.S.D.A. Prime 16 oz Rib-Eye was the star. Serving a large group and getting the temperature right is usually where big events stumble, but these were cooked to a perfect medium-rare across the board. We went in and the hostess was able to seat us right away....but she walked us into the bar area to a high-top table by a window with a view of a TV. This was not the ambience we were looking for and despite being in blue jeans, we could afford anything and everything on the menu. So we asked the server for an actual table in the dining room and she pleasantly agreed to ask for us. The hostess, with as much attitude as she could dish out without actually calling us names, came up and said, "oh, you want a table?" She snatched the menus off the bar table and walked toward the dining room without saying another word. She sat us at an acceptable table and walked away, still oozing attitude. Luckily, Colin approached and quickly spun it around to an absolutely pleasant dining experience. The filet mignon was absolutely delectable! We also had a side of potatoes au gratin, which were pretty good as well. Colin's service was top-notch.
