We went to The Farm at South Mountain just for Morning Glory Cafe. We arrived before 11am and had to park at the parking lot across the street. It's convenient. Just be cautious when you cross with your children because there is a crosswalk without a traffic light. The walk towards Morning Glory Cafe was quite lovely since we were able to walk though the Farmers Market and most of the garden. I waited in line for about half an hour and maybe another 10 min for our food. My family easily found a place to sit under the shade. We ordered the Enchiladas with no cheese and scramled eggs on the side, and the Belgian Waffle. Unfortunately, the enchiladas came out cold. I still did enjoy the taste of the whole dish. Based on taste alone, I would recommend both the dishes I ordered. I usually order my coffee with just milk, but, they got me on the pumpkin spice flavor. We enjoy this place for when we want a nice breakfast outside where our kids can be kids without judgement. We recently went on a Saturday morning as a group of 4 adults and 2 kids around 9:30am and the wait ended up being around 30min to order and then about 20 minutes for the food. we ordered breakfast tacos, montecristo, standard breakfast, and my specific order was the Japanese sweet potato with brisket and wow I felt that mine was the best meal in terms of uniqueness, flavor, and very filling. Also, the orange juice is some of the best I've had around! Would not recommend for breakfast. The coffee options are minimal and only to be flavored with sugar packets. We ordered the chilaquiles and they were basically the store bought chips you get for the table and an egg on top. As soon as we got it, I knew I had ordered the wrong thing. Such a cute spot in South Phoenix. This place is a casual outdoor farm-to-table brunch place located at The Farm at South Mountain. You order at the counter and seat yourself at a picnic table. The farm is huge and such a fun place for family and friends. There is ample parking space as well! This is a the breakfast only spot that's in The Farm, a 10 acre event venue in South Mountain that hosts weddings as well as other events. The Farm also includes some Chickens and turkeys to look at as well as some veggies growing. Anyway, back to the Morning Glory Cafe, it's a popular breakfast spot as it's both Family Friendly as well as dog friendly. Seating is all outdoors picnic table style, but they also have large umbrellas you can activate for some shade. Food-wise, you line up and order/pay first while they make it, the they call your number to pick it up when it's ready. Food is decent, they have many choices. My favorites are chicken enchiladas as well as a salmon omelette. They focus on farm-to-table or at least their image, is of that, so don't be expecting some usual breakfast fare. Fresh squeezed OJ also featured but for a hefty $7 a cup. Also Coffee is drip coffee, there is no espresso machine. Overall, it's a great place if you go once every one or two months as a good change of pace from normal restaurants. Came here for breakfast to celebrate my niece's birthday a few weeks ago. What a beautiful setting. Having a meal surrounded by trees, flowers, and so much greenery was very nice. Service was not the best, it was a Saturday, but it took us at least 25 minutes just to get our drinks. Then about another 25 just to get our food. The food was already semi cold. I ordered the chilaquiles, which were honestly pretty bland and had no spice. I will say, I had the best fresh squeezed orange juice I've ever had in my life! It's 7 dollars for a pretty small cup, but I will say that was worth it taste wise. I will be coming back to give it another shot because I did love the ambiance. Morning Glory Cafe is a great spot to stop by for brunch if you're in the area or wanted a small farm outing. Seating is all outdoors. You have to stand in line to place your order. Your order number will be called out when it's ready. You will also be texted. There's different pickup areas for drinks and food. Drinks will be on the left hand side while food will be on the right hand side. Drinks come out relatively quickly, but you'll have to wait 10-15 minutes for your food. There's a few benches near pick up if you would like to sit and wait. Food and drink pricing is on the pricier side. If you are a coffee drinker, there is unlimited refills on the coffee. However, depending on time of day, the coffee may come out cold if it's been sitting in the pot for a while. My partner and I got the Noble Bread Brisket & Egg Sandwich, Morning Glory Chilaquiles with added bacon, and Lemonade to drink. My personal favorite part of the food was the produce elements! They were so fresh and so tasty. The Noble Bread Brisket & Egg Sandwich comes with an egg done in any style of your choosing. The eggs are cooked perfectly. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce given with this sandwich. It's a very pepper forward sauce, but it dominates rather than complements the rest of the sandwich. I also felt the brisket pieces were rather stingily sized. They were pretty small. The bread as always is so good from Noble. The Morning Glory Chilaquiles is pretty substantial. You are given quite a bit in your bowl. The salsa is a red one and it's also very cinnamon forward. The cinnamon strength was a bit polarizing for us, but the other individual components of the bowl were solid. Finally, their lemonade is pretty refreshing. Not too sweet and not too sour. It was maybe a touch too watered down though. Overall, my partner and I would return again, but we would order different things to try. read more

Pro-tip: It's a bit awkward driving in since it feels like you're driving illegally through the park, but keep going until you hit the parking by the cafe. Be prepared to wait a while in line. Highlights: I love the concept of counter service and getting to eat in the park especially on a nice sunny day with good weather. The smoked salmon spread was sensational and I loved every part of it - from the bagel texture, to the salmon portions, and fresh garnishes on top. I would 100% order it again. Now you wait in a line and order from a counter. Then you pick up your food when it is ready and find a table to eat at. I'm guessing this is to accommodate how busy this place has gotten. The menu at Morning Glory Cafe is a nice selection of breakfast items that includes omelettes, southwest favorites like breakfast tacos, smoked meats, and sweet items. For baked goods, I highly recommend their Blue Corn Bread as a side item. Even though brunch can be very busy on the weekends, you just can't beat the pretty views here while you eat. It's charming and the food is delicious. Make sure you take a stroll around The Farm after your meal. Haven't been to Morning Glory at The Farm in years. We arrived at 9:30 on a gloomy Saturday in January. The line was minimal and we ordered in short order. My adult kids got the Cauliflower Hash and Julia's Chicken Enchiladas, my wife got the American Breakfast whilst I got the Smoked Brisket Tacos. We added three drinks and a water, which came to $92.36 plus tip. Each entree was from $18-19. The prices here have always been high here, due to literally farm fresh. They ARE the farm. Our drinks arrived after a couple of mins. It's a walk-up counter, wait-for-your-food kinda place. Then you go find a table. The tables are scattered in the grove, under the huge pavilion and under the awning at their market. The choices ranged from 10' away to 80 yards away. Everyone was happy with their selections, although the drinks were pretty small (6 oz. tea and coffee). My tacos were street sized but were brimming with brisket, pico, onions, avocado and cilantro. Lime wedges and salsa were on the side, along with my eggs and potatoes. I was planning on adding my eggs to the tacos but there was no room! The Farm Home Fries, which came with the meal, were good: 1" nuggets of griddled yum. A few scallions and onions were laced within, making them a savory accompaniment. All of us experienced cooled off dishes tho. It was a cold morning (about 50 degrees), it was a decent walk to our table and a party of six was in front of us, which all contributed to a cooled-off plate. As a big coffee lover and having cups of coffee anytime during the day and night; I cannot say this's the best coffee I ever had, or my favorite... but it's average, enjoyable to drink in the morning, but that's all. This place was packed for Sunday brunch, we arrived at around 10:15 am and were in line for about 45 minutes. Our group ordered the "Soil & Seed" Omelette, Pancho's Chilaquiles, Julia's Chicken Enchiladas, the Brioche French Toast, and freshly squeezed orange juice. The Pancho's Chilaquiles were my favorite, I enjoyed the crunchiness of the chips and the rich flavors from the variety of ingredients, but you need to eat it right away. Otherwise, the chips get soggy and you miss out on the crunchy texture. The freshly squeezed orange was also amazing and very refreshing in the warm weather. The whole area is wonderful to visit! It was my first farm to table experience and I'm glad I went to Morning Glory Cafe for it! There were wooden tables set up all across the farm, so seating was plentiful. They were also mindful of the sun and had large umbrellas set up across the area. Additionally, there was a shop next to the cafe, where you could find many little trinkets . We were staying at the golf resort next door and we came over for a late breakfast. Now that's it's finally cooling down it's such a perfect place to start your day with a delicious meal. You can't beat the scenery here. The menu is placed right at the front and when you are ready to order just get in line at the register. Your meal is called by number when it's ready.
