Morgan's Restaurant is a winner. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this place before, apparently it is really busy for brunch. My party and I went for dinner and it was pretty empty. The decor is super cute and chic, with a "homey" vibe. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and recommended various dishes on the menu. I had the mussels in the curry coconut milk, O.M.G. soooo delicious. The calamari was pretty darn good too! My husband had the Chicken Parmesan, the actual chicken was great, but the spaghetti that accompanied the dish was average. Came here based on recommendations from I think Time Out? Started out strong. The hostess was friendly and told us her favorites as she seated us outside. Then we wait. And wait. And someone poured us water and then proceeded to take the order of the table next to us that got seated after us. Finally, after turning fully around in my seat to look at her as she delivered the check to the next table, our server came over to ask about drinks. We gave our full order, the frittata and an omelette, an orange juice and a cappuccino. The food game out surprisingly quickly, almost five minutes before our drinks. The food was fine. The maple bacon is absolutely delicious. The omelette had various options for toppings. I recommend the peach Bellini for drinks. The service was great. Came here on a Tuesday (restaraunt was surprisingly super empty) and the service was pretty quick. I liked the brunch but it was nothing out of this world and pretty pricey for what it was. Most reviews say this place gets super packed on the weekends so I'd recommend making a reservation beforehand, or coming on a weekday like me when it was mostly empty. I really don't think that the price for the chicken and waffle sandwich of $18 was worth it whatsoever. The decor on the inside is beautiful and there's parking on the side of the establishment so it should be pretty easy to park (on a weekday). Well Second time around at The Morgan's and I thought I would be a better experience but still the same First time I got there I was told that the waiting time was 1 hour 30 mins which I think was excruciating but I left Second time around I made a reservation, got there early but still waited 40 mins to be seated. Never had that experience with a restaurant, usually when you have a reservation you have priority but it wasn't the case. After waiting 40 mins for our table we got there, got seated on a dirty table Wich we literally had to wipe ourselves. 30 mins waiting we didn't get no server, no water, no greetings. Due to the miami heat, we literally had to walk to a busser to ask for some water, it was so hot that day. Finally our server came with a attitude which we were ok with, we are all humans we have good and bad days. We placed our order (drinks/food) real quick since we were already over with that place. Food didn't take too long to come but guess what We didn't have any Utensils on the table to eat. We looked around and we couldn't find nobody to hand us some forks/knifes. We ordered a Chocolate waffle which taste so bad and was seated on so much water, so we had to return it. The chicken & waffles came out without the syrup. Well everything was a WHOLE MESS. Almost half way done with whatever we had that was eatable Our drinks came (not even joking) at this point we didn't care no more. I had to return some drinks because we thought it wasn't worth it. Came here on Friday morning with my partner for breakfast. The restaurant has free parking but it's was packed so we parked around the restaurant. Their outside seating is the most popular so if you want outside I suggest to reserve. My partner and I got sat inside on the second floor. The spacing was pretty tight but I loved the decor on the inside. I ordered the raspberry pancakes and my partner had the steak plate. We ordered a side of eggs too to along our breakfast. Coffee was not the best. But the portion of food for the price is awesome . You will definitely not be able to finish everything unless you're starving. Love the location, love the out door porch dining area (although it can get hot) and the food is wonderful! I'm very sorry to give two stars to Morgan's, but my second time here was not what I was expecting at all. My husband, his little sister and I came here today for brunch. We were seated right away at the tables outside and were ready to start off with Greek Feta Fries, a caramel latte and two smoothies. The fries were not as good as I was expecting them to be, but the beverages were lovely.. Then, we ordered eggs Benedicts with lox, frittata and steak and eggs (scrambled with cheese). I was extremely surprised when the waitress brought me a steak with an omelette on top. I told her that there may have been a mistake as I ordered scrambled eggs, but she promptly replied that that is how they make scrambled eggs at the restaurant. I stayed quiet and started to eat. Once I took a bite out of the steak, I was disappointed and to be fair, a little frustrated too. The steak was extremely flavorless and it was NOT seasoned at all (not even salt and pepper). I called the waitress and asked her to switch my order with something else as the dish wasn't of my liking at all and, on top of that, they gave me an omelette instead of scrambled eggs and insisted that's their way of cooking eggs at Morgan's while the other tables around us had perfectly scrambled eggs served to them... HOWEVER, the waitress was very kind and swapped my steak and eggs with another dish of my choice (eggs benedict). Went there on a Sunday morning, was pretty full so make sure you make reservations in advance unless you enjoy standing for a while. Overall it was good but the food is kinda bland. Everything from the Frittata to the Mascarpone was very bland, even the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Everything needed more spice or at least more salt for taste. Flavors were okay but definitely would not return, unless you have hyper tension and can't eat loads of flavor then this is the place for you. Located steps from midtown and a few blocks east of the wynwood area, the place is well worth the drive. We came in on a Saturday at 10am pretty much cause it opened early. We were seated inside as soon as we walked in. Had we wanted outside, we would've had to wait a little bit. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us her take on the different plates we asked about. We decided to start with a voluptuous grilled cheese (yes, that's the name on the menu) as a appetizer. It is basically an overstuffed three cheese grilled sandwich. We then ordered eggs Benedict with cured ham, the raspberry and mascarpone stuffed French toast, a frittata, and an omelette. Everything came out at the same time (yay!!) and the portions were big so make sure you have an appetite. For me, the best was the stuffed French toast and the grilled cheese. The frittata was good but it needed just a pinch more of salt and pepper. I've been here twice so far. The breakfast options are delicious. The French toast are to die for ! I got a pitcher of sangria which was also really yummy ! Now the reason they are only getting 3 stars is due to their lunch options. I went in with a big group for my birthday everyone that didn't purchase breakfast items were disappointed. The boyfriend has been craving pancakes and waffles for over 2 weeks and it was either sleep in or wake up early and make his cravings end... The waffled was nice and fluffy and the chicken was crispy and flavorful and with the syrup... YUM! The waitress actually told us to mix a little of the siracha sauce and the syrup together... I tried it. I am not big on spicy food but this was heavenly. Mac & Cheese: I had no idea that there would be egg on top of the mac and cheese. That won me over (those who've read my reviews know my mac and cheese obsession and eggs on everything!). The egg melted on the mac and cheese and just made my mouth scream of joy in flavor. The mac and cheese, it's simple in the aspect of nothing crazy like bacon or anything... I love me some simple mac and cheese. This was extremely flavorful and cheesy. Located in midtown Miami the actual restaurant itself has very little seating inside. We were a party of three with plans for brunch on Saturday. We checked in with Yelp and waited over an hour and a half to be seated. Again, we knew it would be a while but we had heard it was worth the wait and luckily checked in from our friend's house nearby to avoid physically waiting 1.5 hours outside in the heat. However please note there is very little space for waiting parties. The bar was overflowing with waiting parties for a table. Once we were seated, we were underneath a few fans and the heat was no issue. My friend and I ordered the attached house salmon plate. Delicious with an AMAZING bagel tons of cured salmon, capers, olives, arugula, tomato, onion, and cream cheese with chives. What's not to love? Not pictured was my husband's egg Benedict with salmon. He said it was really good as well however it seemed like with the platter we were getting way more food. A bit on the pricey side considering a cup of coffee at $5. We ordered a spinach, mushroom and onion omelet, a wedge salad and a side of maple bacon, all to share. The omelet was 5 eggs and a generous handful of veggies. It nearly dwarfed the plate. Next to it were some damn delicious potato slices and sourdough toast. The wedge salad was not a classic wedge- no bleu cheese in sight or creamy dressing, and while the WW is a wedge purist, we both thought it was pretty freaking tasty. But the best was the bacon. Came here for Sunday brunch in the early afternoon for the first time in a few years. I'm not sure if they were busier than usual, but the service wasn't great. After we made our orders, we had to remind the server to bring our cappuccinos and corn bread, and we waited for over and hour and never received our food that we ordered. I asked for freshly made fries bc cold fries are the worst. When the fresh fries came they tasted as if they were refried. And not truly fresh. I'll never truly know. A member in my party ordered the frittata that had too large sized onion as opposed to being diced into the frittata. Another individual ordered 3 dfrnt items and 3 times the server returned to advise the kitchen no longer had the item. No communication in that sense. Paying over 15 dollars I'd except the quality of food be above average but this establishment fell short. But only me opinion it seems to be a very populated spot with a long line waiting to be seated. I rate this place 2 stars for the following reasons: the service was sub par (not once did anyone offer to refill my water); second, the food was alright-- nothing out of this world (but I must give them credit for doing an excellent job with the ice cream for the dipped waffle and ice cream combo bc it was light and almost like whipped cream); and lastly, it's overpriced for the average quality of food (my friend paid $12 for a good smoothie that I know she could have probably gotten for $8 easily elsewhere; mind you, a meal cost $12).
