Very humble and laid back establishment, with attentive service without feeling stiff! The tables were a bit closer together My favorites were the polenta (crisp was out of this world) and the cold pasta (perfect marriage of soba + seafood pasta) The crispy tiramisu was different but still delicious. Usually don't love graham crackers but it's not your average honey maid box cracker. Flavor still present without being overpowering or too light!
The moment I tried the beef tartare was the moment I knew I would return to Boia De. Then I tried the pappardelle, and I confirmed I'd be back for that too. The menu is simple and has just the right number of items, so I'm already looking forward to coming back. For dessert, I had the pavlova, but it didn't wow me and actually made me reflect on whether I should've gone for the carrot cake instead. The place is small, and sitting at the bar would probably be more ideal, given that the tables are quite narrow and you can hear a little too much of the conversations happening next to you.
Boia De truly is one of the best restaurants in Miami without all of the glitz and glam. Everything we ate was delicious and I was impressed by the service, everything was coursed out perfectly and all the servers were very kind knowledgeable. Certainly worth a visit if you are looking for truly good food!

The nduja were very good and tasty. I think my favorite was the tiramisu, with the hard cookies We sat outside, the staff was amazing, and the mosquitoes don't care if you are a fancy diner.
We had such a wonderful experience dining at Boia De! The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and inviting. It was the perfect setting to enjoy a great dinner while still being able to have a nice conversation--the restaurant wasn't too loud or overwhelming. The service was attentive and friendly, and overall, we had a great experience. We would definitely come back!
I started hearing about the Boia De from my husband, the one responsible for all our reservations, lol, way in advance of our trip to Miami, because it's incredibly hard to get reservations. He tried making reservation there many times in the past, but it's next to impossible to make one. Exactly 30 days in advance, at 12pm sharp, he came to the site and successfully made one , yay. When we made it to the restaurant , the food did not disappoint. The Brussels sprouts were simply delicious, the potatoes skin with black caviar was incredible, all the pastas were amazing, we got 3 of them (for family of 4 ppl). Beef tartare was sooo good. And the lamb ribs were just to die for. The restaurant is fairly small, contributing to the difficulty in making the reservations, but very cozy
This meal was intended to be the culinary highlight of my trip to Miami, so I was very excited to go. Firstly, ambiance and vibe are definitely a little off and the staff are a mixed bag ranging from weird vibes to super hospitable. The food itself was pretty good, but I had certain expectations coming into it given they are a 1-star restaurant. There were some errors made that shouldn't be happening at this caliber of a place. Firstly, 2 out of my 3 dishes came out way too hot in temperature without any warning from the server and I burned my mouth on both of them. Also waited about 20 minutes in between one of the pasta courses which is unacceptable. Another gripe I had was that they shaved the truffle pieces way too thick on my dish. They had a chew to them and required actual chewing like they were a thin piece of meat or something. That was such a textural turn off on the dish. I bought into the hype in preparing for my Miami trip, and I was let down. It's a good spot but if you take a step back and look at the details, Boia De has some serious room for improvement.

Yes the food is delicious. Yea the restaurant is small and intimate. Yes it is almost impossible to get a reservation! And yes the service is super kind and welcoming. All these things are true about Boia De. They craft their menu carefully and make sure to give you a fine dining experience. I highly recommend the polenta. All of this can be true but the one thing I could not get over was the price point behind each dish at this Michelin star restaurant. Some part of it is because they have to charge that price. Anything else would be unexpected from fine dining in Miami. But for me the portion sizes just didn't math well for the price point. Don't get me wrong the food is very good. The tiramisu is an experience I will never forget. But I would have loved to see Boia De be a restaurant for the people of Miami and not just the tourists who are looking to see one side of Miami.
I'd rate a 4.5 if I could! Boia De was a lovely dinner, and the interior, while quaint, was beautiful. They also have a bit of outside seating, but again, it's very small. It's much more casual than most Michelin star restaurants I've been to. Our server was attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. Here's what we tried: -crispy Brussels: 8.5/10 - the sauce on this (miso brown butter hollandaise) was OUTSTANDING. We just found that the Brussels werent as charred as we would've wanted, so this should've been called creamy Brussels. -beef tartare: 8.5/10 - a very well executed and delicious tartare. The meat shines in this dish, my only note being I'd like a bit more flavor / sauce. The crispy tendon was a fun way to eat it. -caviar potato skins: 9/10 - SO yummy wow. The caviar is good but you really don't taste much of it, which is why I dock this 1 point because it's expensive. The potato skin and the cheese however were so tasty. -taglioli Nero: 8.5/10 - a cold pasta dish! I loved the vinaigrette on this, and the crab was also so tender and yummy. loved it. -pappardelle ala lepre: 9.5/10 - a near perfect tomato based pasta! The freshly made pappardelle had a lovely chew to it, and the rabbit was tender, which is very very hard to achieve. -lamb ribs fra diavola: 10/10 - these ribs were just melt in your mouth. They were divine, with very little fat on them. They come with super vinegary pickles on top. Definitely would recommend a trip here! Anything you get will be a hit!
This restaurant came highly recommended from some friends, and we decided to meet them there towards the later part of our evening. The resturant is very small, making seating limited, and therefore we were sat at an outside table right next to a fan. Not a ceiling fan. Although this isn't exactly the restaurant's fault, being right by the fan and surrounded by flies while sitting on the sidewalk of a strip mall wasn't exactly a luxurious experience as you might expect. The waitress was lovely and very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. There was a heavy focus on the wine aspect with some pretty surprising high prices per glass, but I guess that's what you get in Miami these days. The restaurant is described as an Italian style place. That being said, the menu is anything but typical Italian. Minimal description of what you will be eating mixed in with a twist on standard Italian cuisine. That's all fine, but having at least one or two standard Italian dishes would be appreciated. Also, it's family style eating meaning the dishes are meant to be shared. This was surprising as they are not large portions. Price wise, it was very much on the expensive side. Considering the serving sizes for the prices you pay I'm not exactly sure it's worth the cost. As per instructions from our waitress, 2 to 3 dishes should be ordered per person. That comes out to about $75-$100 per individual while still leaving hungry. Our friends did rave about the mixed drinks and espresso. We had sodas because we had a long drive ahead, and those sodas were bottled cokes and 7-Up. Again, rather expensive to pay per drink, but also not the end of the world. Overall the restaurant almost comes across a little pretentious for the type of food and price charged given the experience and location of the restaurant. The food was good, but nothing to rave about. The options were very limited and came with very small portions. I am personally unlikely to visit again, but I'm sure there are people out there who enjoy this type of dining and for them it may be a worthwhile experience.
My friend and I stumbled into this place on a Saturday night not knowing what we were getting into. I thought for sure the food would be overhyped but it did not disappoint. I still think about how amazing the eggplant on top of the polenta or the squid ink pasta were. The staff was also so wonderful to us and helped us with our picks which did not disappoint. Definitely a bit pricey and there are some dishes I would probably skip like the artichokes but when the food was good, it was really really good.

1st time here and it was ALL amazing !! Go early and you can walk in and sit at the bar/ counter. It's very quant and small but service was impeccable and the food was phenomenal!!! I will go again !! read more

I really wanted to like this place, but sometimes it just isn't what you expect. There were some things I did like though. The crispy polenta was really good and I loved the tartness the eggplant gives. The crispy tiramisú was AMAZING as well. I love how they kept the classic taste of the tiramisu but elevated it with the crispy ladyfingers. About the things I did not enjoy so much... the pappardelle alla lepre was mid and the lamb ribs were over seasoned and dry for my liking. The beef tartare was good but I've had better. Honestly I think I was disappointed because I had very high expectations of this Michelin star restaurant and my experience did not reach that bar. As a side note, I ordered an Aperol Spritz-style cocktail, and there was a piece of the bottle's paper label in my drink by mistake. We pointed it out to the bartender, and he simply took the drink and made a new one without saying much. I'm not asking for a free drink, but when I have had similar experiences at other places, they usually would let me keep the "faulty" drink and just make a new one without throwing mine away (which I didn't ask to). read more
It was my bestie's bday and I wanted her to have a super delicious meal, something out of the ordinary and special...and we did! Every dish we tried was absolutely scrumptious, full of interesting flavors and unique. We didn't have reservations but I thought we'd chance it and get lucky and sure enough we scored a spot at the bar which was just perfect. Pictures to follow - highly recommend! read more

I was able to get a reservation off a resy alert. While I'm glad we tried it, I don't think I'll be coming back unless other people really want to go and they get a table. The good - service was excellent, wine list was good (no full bar), and there are decent gluten free options for my husband including gluten free pasta. Why I docked a star was for the food - although good, it didn't wow me and in fact the rabbit ragu had several pieces of bone in it which was very off putting (I forgot to take a photo of the pastas). The space (in a strip mall) is very small which explains why it's difficult to get a table - we sat at the counter which we liked because you get to watch things being prepared. Compared to other Michelin star restaurants this wasn't up to their levels for me. read more
A genuine and creative Italian restaurant located at an unassuming strip mall, husband and wife chef(s) run. Great music, cute space, and service was impeccable - smooth, subtle, and the staff paid attention to detail. Every dish we had was so delicious!! My favorite is the chestnut pasta with shaved chestnuts, shallots, and Maitake mushroom. We will be coming back. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! It is on the smaller side but feels very intimate and the servers go above and beyond ! They take time explaining dishes and give very specific recommendations. This was my second time coming here almost a year apart and I can say the quality is the exact same. The TAGLIOLINI NERO was just as good as the first time and if you love cold pastas I recommend trying it. The only dish I wouldn't get again is the crudo because I'm not the biggest fan of tomato's. read more

One of the better meals I've had in Miami. The service was excellent. The space is quite small and depending when you arrive you may be sat outside. Our favorites were the squash blossoms, scallop crudo, and dopio agnolotti. Highly highly recommend for a special night out read more
Service was amazing, we sat outside, not even mad about it. Cause the weather was great and the music they had playing was awesome. Great playlist ! Vibez were good and food was very memorable. Each bite was abundant in flavor and really touch on each note it needed. The aroma of the food was awesome you could smell it before tasting it which made the experience even more stunning. Definitely a Michelin star spot ! Will be back without a doubt. Need to try a another few more pastas lol read more
Hip and intimate wine bar serving up well executed dishes. Boia De is famously located in an unassuming strip mall but is a diamond in the rough. It can be identified by a glowing outline in the shape of an exclamation mark "!" The restaurant is small and the tables are a bit close together. I also wished they had more powerful air conditioning. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and accurate in his recommendations. Wine and beer are available as are "cocktails" made with champagne or sake but there is no liquor. I wish there was more selection for wine by the glass given the bottle list was actually quite extensive and expensive. The food was delicious enough to ignore the few gripes above. Our server recommended 4-6 dishes in total for 2 people. I agree if you are very hungry go for 6 but 4 may certainly do the trick. The beef tartare was so good with tons of texture and flavor in the toppings. We got a half portion of the Pate but I wished we did not downsize once I tasted it. The Lamb Ribs Fra Diavlo were incredibly tender even if the sauce would not have been my first choice. My favorite dish by far was the Mushroom Agnolotti which featured premium ingredients like Morels and superior quality Parmesan as well as a perfectly al dente and appreciably handmade pasta. We ended the meal with the Crispy Tiramisu which had a delightful balance of salty/sweet and airy/rich. Overall, Boia De is a refreshingly low key locale for well executed shareable plates. The menu changes every 2-3 months so I will definitely be back and will be ordering a pasta dish for sure. read more

My experience at Boia De incredible. From the outside, the restaurant is very unassuming, but once you step inside, you realize you are in for something special. The service was outstanding from start to finish, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish we ordered was exceptional. The beef tartare was beautifully prepared and incredibly fresh. The chestnut agnolotti was the highlight of the night for me. It was rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced, easily my favorite dish of the evening. The gnocchi à la Parisienne (Morina) was full of flavor and executed perfectly. The tortellini in brodo resembled more of a dumpling but it was also decent. The lamb ribs Fra Diavolo were unbelievably tender with just the right amount of spice and depth. And then came dessert. The crispy tiramisu is an absolute must. The texture was unique, and the small touch of sea salt on top elevated the flavors in a way that made the whole dessert unforgettable. read more
I had been checking Resy to make an 8p.m. dinner reservation for months, but finally decided to take a 10p.m. dinner spot for two, the day before my birthday. As everyone knows, this spot shares its strip plaza location with its sister restaurant. Although in a strip plaza, I expected to be transported once inside, by food and ambiance. Upon entering, I completely understood why I couldn't get a reservation -- there are only about 25 seats, and about half of them are at the bar. The atmosphere is also, very casual. I had on a simple slipdress and was the only person in heels. The hostess was very welcoming, and our server was wonderful. I had one of the wine-based cocktails, and later a different one. Neither were very memorable, my guest had a mocktail/Shirley Temple. We ordered more food than I photographed, and I would only order three of the six again. The pate was just weird. There was a schmear of pate along the side of the bowl. When it was placed in front of me I asked three times if it was the pate before I realized I was being directed to the schmear along the side of the dish. There was some kind of jus, too. It was just weird. I also didn't get the crispy-ish rice dish. The crudo sat atop a tomato-based element that completely overpowered whatever fish it was. The cold crab noodle dish was interesting, and better than I thought it would be. We didn't get pictures of the pasta filled with duck or the lamb ribs, but both were the best dishes of the night. The pasta, however, was served like a soup, in a delicious, rich broth. Odd for a place where dishes are meant to be shared. The lamb ribs had a delicate spice that I quite enjoyed. I also received homemade vanilla ice cream that was very, very rich. Boia De is on many "must-do" restaurant lists for Miami, and I'm glad I went. With so many choices, I don't think I'll go back. read more

You disappointed me Made the reservation 3 weeks in advance for 5:45pm Place is very small, quaint with some outside seatings We got seated right away The waiter advised plates are small portion , we should also try to order all at once So we did ... Ordered: Baked clams Beef tartare Ricotta Gnocchi Pomodoro Squid Ink Garganelli SALTY SALTY !! All the entrees were super salty Only the baked clams were not salty , it had Nduja on top , tasty Pasta was ok The saltiness of the food overpowered the other flavors I drank 4 cups of water that they kept refilling , plus drank more water when I got home ! 2 cocktails we tried Sangria - it's so so Jebroni - cocktail they had on the menu on a Friday (it was good) wine prices by the glass is overly priced We've been wanting to try Boia De for long time It's Michelin rated , recommendations from others Noticed most of the good reviews are all from prior to 2024 ... Google/Yelp stars will be purely based on a very general metric of taste and the overall experience. For my detailed review below, typically above a 4.5 is in the two or three Michelin star category and 4.2-4.4 is a Michelin 1 star. Ambiance: 3.7/4.0 Nestled in a corner of a strip mall (don't worry you're in the right place), Boia De has a casual, cozy atmosphere. Due to its small size, there aren't too many seats and as a result, the tables are a little close together. However, this fits the overall vibe of the restaurant. It's important to note, unlike many of its Michelin Star counterparts, this won't feel like fine dining (more on this later). Service: 4.3/5.0 In classic Miami fashion, I got stuck in traffic heading north and was 20 minutes late for my reservation. However, the restaurant sent me a nice text confirming my visit (via resy) which put my mind at ease as I absolutely hate being late. The waitress was extremely friendly and knows her stuff as she explained every single dish in detail. The service was what I would expect for a restaurant that earned a star. Food: 4.2/5.0 Gnocchi: No shortage of truffles here on this dish. The chefs love incorporating truffles with a couple of white truffle options. It may not feel like fine dining, but the menu says otherwise. As for the taste, if you don't order this dish, you missed out. The flavor explodes and the truffles are a perfect compliment to this savory dish. If you're like me and always gravitate towards the sausage option when ordering pizza, this dish is made for you. There are tons of sausage (locally sourced) and it is absolutely heavenly. The gnocchi are perfectly cooked and the textures of the sausage, truffle, and gnocchi are well balanced. Fra Diavolo Ribs: Next, I tried the full order (half portion available) of the lamb ribs. As they are lamb ribs, they aren't fall of the bone, but they are so tender and juicy. Be warned, they are pretty fatty, so if tougher, fattier ribs aren't your favorite, you may want to avoid. The ribs have a very Smokey and spicy flavor so make sure you eat it with the pickles so you don't overwhelm your taste buds. I wish I had gotten the half portion as a solo diner but this would be a good dish to share as a couple or group of 4. Crispy Tiramisu: Lastly I ordered the half portion of the Tiramisu. A really interesting take as the crispiness eliminates the wet sponginess of a classic Tiramisu (something I actually enjoy). However the crispiness is a perfect contrast to the creamy mascarpone. I think it is delicious and would absolutely recommend if you like Tiramisu. Overall: 4.1/5.0 Ambiance is true to its location, the service is great, and the food had solid flavors. I'm not sure if this was just because I only ordered two dishes, but everything came out separately (noticed this of other tables too). When eating the ribs I felt that something was missing to complement the strong flavors. Is this worthy of its star? Ahhhh it's really close because I absolutely loved the gnocchi and Tiramisu but my experience with the ribs is holding me back. For now I categorize it as a fantastic restaurant to which I reserve judgement on its star until I get a fuller experience as solo dining here may not give the restaurant justice. read more

I have been trying to go for years and it never worked out so when I randomly went on Resy one night and saw they had a 9:45 reservation on a Wednesday, I locked that in immediately. It's unassuming from the outside and small on the inside but my, my, do good things come in small packages. The vibe was fantastic, the music, sublime. Our server was lovely and explained the dishes we had questions on. We had the sangria, hamachi crudo, patè, tortellini in brodo and the tiramisu. Everything was delicious (although I would probably pick a different pasta dish next time) but the pate...let's just say next time I can snag a res, I'll be getting my own instead of sharing. Do try the tiramisu, it's every bit as lovely as everyone says it is. read more
Finally was able to get a reservation thanks to the Columbia Portugal World Cup Match! The food was great and lived up to expectations and the service was impeccable. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that although it was great, I don't think it would be in my top 5 in Miami, but definitely in my top 15. The first few dishes were amazing. We had the cold pasta with king crab dish to start which had amazing flavor profiles and was a surprise how good it was. The crudo was next. I typically don't like crudo but this one was outstanding. It also had surprising flavor layers to it. Next was the beef carpaccio which I also don't typically love but this one was different and better than any other I had before. Next we had the polenta with egg plant, and crispy octopus, both which were good but not something I would get again and this is where I took away one star. The rabbit parpadelle was our final dish before dessert and it was very good but not incredible. The desserts we had were the tiramisu which my wife said was her favorite tiramisu of all time. It was freshly prepared and had crispy cookies. We saw the care that the dessert chef took to dip each lady finger in the fresh espresso and carefully dabbed each cookie before placing on the tiramisu, and that care really makes a difference. I had the carrot cake with ginger ice cream which was very good but not the best. The ginger was a bit overpowering and I would have preferred a cream cheese icing to the mascarpone they used. Overall, it's a great restaurant and I would come again but I wouldn't say it's on the same level as Ariete or Sunny's, just IMHO. read more
One delicious bite after another. Everything we had was an absolute delight. Service was attentive and on point! We were lucky to be accommodated without a reservation for a party of 4. Sat outside and it was just lovely. Had 2 pasta dishes, 2 salads, crispy polenta, artichoke dish, Crudo, spicy ribs and an olive oil lemon cake, oh yes and 2 bottles of wine. Can't wait to be back!! I've been wanting to try here for so long, the location is a bit out of the way but I must say it's worth it! The crispy polenta was a pleasant surprise! I was not expecting it to burst with so much flavor! The beef tartar is definitely one of the tops I've had! So flavorful and tasty, we devoured every bite! The grilled artichokes also were bursting with flavor! An unexpected pleasant surprise! Lastly, the corn fagottini was out of this world!! What a meal this was on a weekend night, they managed to squeeze us in at the bar. I would prefer a little more space personally but everything was phenomenal here! read more

Excellent food and service. My only regret is not going inside to see the decor. We ate outside on a nice warm day. Ate here as a group of 4. We were originally going to be 7, so we had to be seated outside to accommodate our group size. I believe our server was Blake, and he was great. He gave us good recommendations and helped us figure out how many dishes to order. They recommend family style for all dishes since most are smaller size and meant to be shared. We had the hamachi crudo, beef tartare, Luci's chopped salad, grilled mushrooms, chicken liver and foie gras pate, sunchoke caramelle, ricotta gnocchi alla norcina, lamb ribs. For dessert, we had carrot cake and crispy tiramisu. I think their best dishes were the pasta ones. I regret not ordering every pasta dish to share and try! But I also loved the beef tartare and foie gras dish. The chopped salad although it seems simple, was very tasty. The carrot cake was good and comes with delicious ginger ice cream. The crispy tiramisu was good and different (I don't like classic tiramisu usually.) So this was good! Everything was perfectly paced, and waters were never not full. Highly recommend! read more

I thought the food was extremely flavor and i highly recommend. I loved the creaminess of the mushroom pasta and it had a lot of depth of flavor, The crispy polenta was also super unique with the balsamic giving a nice kick to the crisp and softness of the eggplant. Loved it a lot! read more
This was my third time coming to Boia De and all three times I've left with no complaints; it makes sense why folks set their alarms everyday to make sure they can secure a reservation 2 weeks in advance via resy. Boia De is a small venue, however every dish packs BIG flavors; a well deserved Michelin star and to many more in the future. Once you secure the reservation, don't even bother studying the menu, just wait until you get there and allow the servers to take you on a journey that i promise will make you salivate. I've attached a few photos of the dishes i ordered from my last time there which was on 1/3/26; and now that i type the date, i just realized i started the new year with a banger. I actually was lucky to find an open reservation same day for a party of two. I took my friend for the first time and he is now hooked, you know its true friendship when your friends allows you to order everything; that is the trust we all need and now i have my DMs blowing up with friends asking when are we going lol. Enough with the jokes, time to be slightly serious; Boia De has become my favorite Italian restaurant, but more important my top 3 restaurant in Miami. The year had just begun so add going to Boia De to your goals/resolutions, I promise you will not be disappointed. read more

I didn't see any gluten free pasta. It's not a make it your way kind of place. The plates are the chef's creation.
