This place is really quite average. I had slow service and the food was nothing special at all- though you get a lot of it. I did like the appetizers though and would come back for that. I didn't try the pizza, so maybe in the future I will do that. read more

My chicken wrap was good. We always like their pizzas. But if you order a salad, hopefully you like very little dressing. They included one small container that was half full. Not nearly enough for a whole salad. And that's all my wife ordered. Won't be ordering salads in the future, or at least I'll have to specifically ask for a little more dressing. read more

I had there pizza before. I thing you should just eat it there. I order it for the first time yesterday. I got sick from it. I never got sick eating it there. I don't think I will be ordering from there. I just eat there instead. read more

The cocktails were very good. We only had appetizers as our appetites were not demanding on this visit. Spinach-artichoke dip, white-bean hummus, which I thought was much creamier than that made with garbanzos and a nice change. We also had grilled calamari.....I love grilled over fried but it is not as easy to prepare correctly as it must be watched. The best way to prepare is to keep the squid whole, with slits along the body. Here they cut it in the usual rings with tentacles separate which can lead to toughness, as it did in this case. There was a little too much char, which leads me to believe the chef did not keep an eye on it. That was a bit of a let-down. Also had the caprese salad with beefsteak tomato and they were substantial. Overall, a little bit up and a little bit down, hence my 3-star rating. read more

Had pizza from this place- it was so delicious and fresh. The southwest salad was also really tasty, with some BBQ ranch sauce to top it off! I highly recommend this place. read more

I was out with a bunch of co-workers and I ordered the rib special at 1499. I asked the waitress how they were and she said she likes them but if I didn't like them I could exchange them for something else. They didnt look like your average ribs. The taste was okay it just didnt lookso appetizing! It really should have said something but I was to embarrass to to do that. I am very disappointed but I guess I should have ordered pizza at a pizza place and not ribs! read more

Pizza is good. Other food is decent. The best reason to go here is to sit on their GREAT outdoor patio during the summer time, have some pizza and beer. Lot's of fun! read more

We drove over 44 miles to eat at this restaurant and see a friend perform. We called prior to driving there to ask if they had wheelchair access. They said sure they did. When we arrived the only way to get to the dining area was by stairs. The guest in the wheelchair could not access the bathrooms or a table at all. All in all there was no accommodations for disabled people. This is very demeaning to disabled people who want to enjoy an evening out like everyone else. We are looking for legal action against this restaurant as they do not comply with those standards. Oh, by the way, we did leave and drove elsewhere to eat dinner. If you cannot walk, you are not welcome at this Morretti's. read more

I've been coming here years and the last couple of times I've been to this establishment with my husband, we've received top notch service and the food (like always) is PHENOMENAL. This time around we had fried calamari (which is always AMAZING) and my husband and I shared the shrimp risotto and chimmichuri steak salad . Our server ( Patricia ) was outstanding. She has served us twice the last 2 times we've come and it seems like this place is unfortunately understaffed as well as always busy .... but patrica seems to have a very good flow as well as balance with everyone . The food runner (he looked young ) was also super helpful and very attentive! Both times we've come we have seen her acknowledge every table she passed which is something you don't always see. Food here is always amazing and We cannot wait to be back as we enjoy coming here more and more due to phenomenal service . The patio is pretty big and seats a lot so there usually isn't a wait but ever if there is, it usually goes by fast and you can get some drinks at the bar meantime. They have a lot of daily specials as well as happy hour, all is worth it and worth your time if you want some delicious food and drinks ! read more

First time at the Edision Park location with two girlfriends. My order was very very very disappointing. The food is similar to buffet style dining except that it's being served to you on a plate and it's worse. Ordinarily prepared. The food arrived barely warm and got cold quickly. Waitress not trained to be on her game. Will NEVER return for food. The sangria cocktail was good. I ordered the Italian Trio (Fettuccini, lasagna, chicken parmagian) sounds great but it tastes like one big blob of Ingredients . The worst lasagna I have had in my entire life! One lasagna noodle topped with one inch of indescribable layer of a hard dense brick like mixture of who knows what. It wasn't cheese, it wasn't meat, it was awful. This same layer was repeated and topped with what looked like cold melted cheese. I'm accustomed to a different quality of Italian dishes and bar food. I was polite and said nothing. I mean, say something to what end? They are clueless about quality. Great to watch a sports game on very large TV screens and beer with friends. read more

This is the second time we have had Moretti's catered for a company function. Ordered the beef and chicken vesuvio, the bread for the beef was stale upon arrival and the amount of beef sent to us was half the amount as last time. The chicken was the bland and tasted nothing like chicken vesuvio. Called the restaurant to ask them why the bread was stale and how 3 pounds of Italian beef was and a tray of chicken was worth $200 the GM Shawn didn't seem to care at all about the situation he wrote it off and was one of the most unprofessional GM's i have ever dealt with. The only redeeming quality about this experience is that the chicken wasn't under cooked. Thanks Shawn for nothing! read more

Good, solid Italian-American place. The food is consistently good in a casual environment. They have a make your own pizza option for the kids which is a hit with my youngsters. Drinks can be on the weak side. Service is fast and courteous. You have a choice of patio or indoor. Indoors has a lot of TVs with sports on it. Parking can be dicey in Edison Park. I recommend Moretti's both dining in and delivery. read more

Casual. Easy going. Great to watch the Bulls or Blackhawks game! We had the macaroni pizza. It was by far the weirdest thing on the menu, which meant it had to be tried. At least once. I was blown right out of the water! It was creamy, but with a thin crust. So tasty! Glad we made the fatty call and tried something new! The parking for this area sucks, but they deliver. Everyone should try their pizza at the very least, once. read more

I had been here a few times and forget about it. I guess because the food never really stood out. What does stand out is the patio. In fact, that's the only place I've hung out in at the place. It's actually pretty big, and nicely shaded with plenty of trees. It's perfect for great weather. I remember the first time I was here was for my league's Fantasy Football draft. I was also here for an old coworker's farewell party. I was most recently here for lunch, and was disappointed in the Chopped Chicken salad that everyone was raving about. It doesn't even compare to the one at Pompei's, Grazziano's, or Barnelli's. I was surprised that it came with ranch dressing, but I am sure that the Balsamic Vinagrette will only be slightly better. They've taken a couple of additional items off the menu because it was causing longer times for them to cook other things in the kitchen. One of the items was the flatbread and the other was a bbq something, which I heard were a couple of the best items on the menu. Our waiter was decent, but overall just an average place. I think you come here more for the ambiance than anything. I would just appreciate it more coming for drinks, hanging out outside, and light appetizers. read more

5 stars for sure for atmosphere... it was a bit chilly to sit outside but they have a great beer garden overlooking a cute neighborhood. they have a vast menu but i was still drawn to their pizza (of course). my excuse was that it is very rare to find asparagus as a topping of choice so i wanted to take advantage of that! the kitchen was willing to accommodate a personal pizza as the "tuscan vegetarian" is only offered as a full pizza. spinach AND asparagus, mushrooms and fresh tomatoes. fresh ingredients but no flavor to compliment them. i actually sent back the pizza because it almost seemed undercooked - the crust was a bit soggy and the cheese still in "shredded" form. when i got it back, the cheese was a bit browner, but nothing else changed. the apple pecan salad that i shared was very good and they were again very accommodating leaving the bacon "on the side". great, light dressing... so great that i wished i could've poured it all over my pizza! i'd go back for drinks and maybe even try their whole wheat pasta but there are way too many other pizza options in the city... read more

The pizza and outdoor patio are my favorites. This place is massive inside. It also has karaoke on Wednesdays.

It's ok!

Fortunately they have a great outdoor beer garden and a good selection of beers because the food and service at this place is a notch better than "sucks". The pizza was decent but the apps and other entrees were a notch better than "edible". I will return to this place again if in the area only for a beer in the garden and maybe a little pizza for noshing. read more

This place is huge! The beer garden is so enticing (even on a chilly November evening). The pizza is really solid. It's right by the Metra stop. Convenience, outdoor seating, a cool environment, full bar, and good food? What more do you need? I'll be back. read more

I came here a few times for lunch during the workday, and once for drinks after work with co-workers. I usually got their grilled chicken avocado club. Pretty great. The food was great, the service fast and friendly and the outdoor seating area is great!! Nice and shady and huge. The indoor seating was good too, and the bar area has tons of TVs. But their outdoor patio/garden seating really is where it's at. If you want free parking, there is a lot near Oshkosh & Northwest Hwy. read more

Love, love, love the apple pecan salad with chicken. Come here a couple times a year and I'm hard pressed to give it up to try much else. Friends enjoyed the chicken ceasar salad, grilled chicken and avocado club and beef tenderloin wrap. Also noticed that they've got some gluten free choices on the menu. Service was once a deterrent during weekday lunch, but it's improved greatly over the past few years. Great outside dining and beer garden for cooler summer days. read more

If you time it right and get a lovely spot outdoors..all good( best local for this chain). Service can be a hit or miss. On a recent Sunday it was a hour wait for a simple burger for Boyfriend and a salad for me( with no warning). Pizza specials good but toppings sometimes not cooked right. read more

You want a typical Chicago this is it. Hawks games on every tv. Great pizza and wings and the service is good. Great local place

Great beer garden and so-so food. I had a RIDICULOUSLY good g&t there and would like to thank whomever made that... seriously. Good for after-work drinks. read more

Moretti's is a great neighborhood pizza joint. I love just sitting at one of the outdoor tables with friends on a nice day and enjoying a pizza and some beers. It is cool too that there are a lot of different types of people there. Last time I went, there were a bunch of families having dinner, groups of young people having drinks, and older guys there to watch the games on the big screens. The pizza is really perfect with its crispy thin crust, light and tasty sauce, and generous toppings. Moretti's is just a fun place to hang out, talk, watch the game, and have a good meal. read more

Love this place. My fiancé and I come here all the time. The outdoor is beautifully decorated and overall a very nice patio seating. Inside is also very nice. read more

First off the place is huge. Our server was fantastic, she took care of everything, followed up snd at the end - thanked us and invite us to return. Food - we had sausage and peppers as a appetizer, terrific, some of the best around the city and suburbs. We went for the pizza, cheese and sausage, great pizza, thin crust, crispy and delicious. It was half price pizza on Tuesday! Hardest part of the visit was the parking, crowded streets and train lot. We will be back again, for sure. read more

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went there around 5 PM on Saturday night on November 4th the "hostess" for lack of a better word was as rude as can be. We arrive and she wouldn't even look up at us. She was too worried about the pieces of paper on her desk for future reservations and I finally had to get her attention. Needless to say, not a good start. Then another girl came up to us and asked how many in our party and I said 2, so we followed her as it looked like she was seating us. Then the "hostess" runs up to us in a huff and says, "I'm supposed to seat you guys"! At that point I was done. I notified her manager of her rude service and that we wouldn't be eating there tonite. OR EVER AGAIN! He didn't seem to care either. This is a horribly run organization. read more

I was hesitant to review because I agree with pretty much everything from all these reviews here. I grew up in Edison Park and remember this place as The Snuggery like Meghan said. I have gone to it many times now as Moretti's. Great neighborhood place and usually see someone I know. Basic pizza, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and nice bar. Yes outdoor patio is nice in the summer. Also once we were in the backroom for our high school reunion - nice time. read more

A place to go! We've been coming to Morretti's at Edison Park for a couple of years now and it's still the same good food. Sport prizes is a bonus. Who would have thought I would win a certificate for playing football. We've ordered the calamari, very fresh, pizza and the best pasta was this mostacciolli with asparagus, spinach, andoule sausage, chicken and shrimp. It had a little kick to it but, it was still good. The portions are pretty good and so is the price. read more

I ate here for the first time this week, it's a wonderful place if you want to sit on a large outdoor patio in a park-like setting with trees all around you. Their deep dish pizza was excellent. I'll definitely be eating here again anytime I'm on the northwest side of Chicago. read more

This is a pretty fabulous place because they have just about anything you could want, the prices are great, the service is wonderful, and they have an awesome patio on which you can sit during the summer. I've had a bunch of their food, all of which has been great. The mac and cheese pizza is the one crazy thing I wouldn't recommend but our waitress did warn us that it's kind of unusual and we still ordered it. They have a great selection of beer. Yep, very awesome. Highly recommend it! read more

Great pizza and pasta. Great service. Great atmosphere that is cozy and fun. But best of all for me, they have cider on tap!

Came for a shower. Great food and attentive servers. There was a wide range of options in the buffet and they were all super tasty.

Yummmm I love their pizza! Their apps are delicious too. The environment is so much fun. So happy they are opening a location in Morton Grove! I'll probably be ordering at least once a week. read more

I keep giving this place a chance because I like their pizza but the people that work here can never get it right. I would say that 8 out of 10 times they get something wrong on my order. I have tried to call them in the past and they are indignant one time even asking me what they were supposed to do. This time the order could not have been more simple. Sausage pizza. What do I get? A pizza with half sausage. How dumb to the people that work here have to be to get almost every order wrong? How hard would it be for someone outside of the kitchen to quickly open the box and see that this order was wrong. No competent people making orders and less competence in the management. I keep seeing Jim say in bad reviews that "we will learn and improve". Not happening Jim. These reviews go back a long time and you have learned nothing and improved nothing. You also said in one of your replies that you have very few complaints. I think that even when you got decent reviews that at least 1 in 10 reviews complained about order correctness or customer service. If you worked for me well you would not be for long with that record. I wonder if your superiors think that a 10% or more complaint level i acceptable. I try very hard to support the local restaurants because I know people in this business and I know how hard they have been hit but using COVID as an excuse for your service is insulting as you did in one of your replies. Sad sad sad. I think I may start a Moretti's blog to see how many people will actually complain about this place. read more

Used this moretti's location for a group lunch for 70 people. Their staff was courteous and professional when I initially placed my order. They communicated the cost, time of delivery and the items ordered very clearly. On the day of the event food arrived on time and the delivery guy was very polite and friendly. I had the egg plant parm which was good although a bit to oily. In the past I have had pizza from here which was decent. Overall staff and service is a 5/5 while food is consistent but not great. read more

Valet guy AC is great! Food is decent. Music on Friday and Saturday nights are great!

I've been here for lunch a few times. Ok food- nothing impressive. I liked it better before I went once and had the worst service ever. Can't seem to get over the bad service even though it's been fine the few times I've been since then. read more

I have been coming here for ages. It was the Snuggery when I was a kid and now it is Moretti's. My work friends like to meet here because of the outdoor area. The outdoor area is large and partly shaded which makes it easier to handle. It's across from the Edison Park train station but you get used to the sound, it's not that bad. We have had family parties, graduation dinners, group dinners, teachers gatherings-all kinds of outings here. It holds a lot of people and for the most part the wait isn't all that long. It can get crazy on a Friday or Saturday night but we usually don't go there then for that reason. The service can tend to suck at times. Either messing up your order or taking abosolutely forever to get to you. That's quite a drawback. That's why we have taken to ordering in if we are just looking for some food, not the atmosphere. In group settings you just kind of suck it up and hope for the best. For the most part it turns out well. We have tried nearly everything on the menu. The fresh bread and butter at the beginning is addicting so be careful. Their salads are large and they have a decent variety if you are looking to stay on the light side. For kids they let them make their own pizza and they bake it and all. The kids usually seem to like that and are entertained for the most part. Main courses- Angel Hair-incredible. My dad and I always order this. There is enough for two people to share or for one person to have leftovers. It is light and fresh and the huge chunks of fresh mozarella on the top are the best part. They start to melt from the heat-yum! Gnocchi-phenomenal. It comes in a rich marinara sauce with chinks of eggplant and tomatoes. The gnocchi are large and perfectly cooked. My dad and I also order this one a lot too. Their veggie pizza is really good. Thin crust, though. I love their cheese thick crust, too. Both better accompanied with a side of ranch. I'll add more dishes some other time. I can't recall all of them at this moment. read more
