Buyer Beware!!!! $110 to press a button my tenant did not know existed. They said I was paying for their knowledge. What tipped me off that this was going to be a bad deal from the beginning is that the individual I talked to over the phone did not know what an AFCI was (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) as opposed to a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). I contacted this business to inquire if they were certified electricians, and they confirmed that they were. I then asked if they were located in the City of Banning, and they replied that they were based in Moreno Valley. I scheduled an appointment, and they arrived to inspect the issue. They pressed the button on the GFCI outlet, which my tenants were unfamiliar with. They attempted to charge me $400 for this simple action. I found this amount to be outrageous and informed them that I would contest the charges if they proceeded. After negotiating, I was able to reduce the charge to $110, but even this amount seemed excessive. While I understand that they should charge for at least a service call, they insisted on a minimum of two hours of labor, which they had not disclosed upfront. Be cautious when dealing with this business. They claim to be certified electricians, but they are actually electrical contractors who hire certified electricians. This means you're not only paying for their arrangement services, but also for the electrician's time. Why not go directly to the electrician and eliminate the middleman? MGS's reply lacks transparency and does not provide a precise explanation. In response to their defense on this very review: Yes! I did say I'm OK with it and I paid $110 to them for pressing a button that literally took 10 minutes or less. But that is after I had to threaten to contest the charges of MGS wanting to charge $440 for 10 minutes of work. Ridiculous! I 100% wholeheartedly stick by this review! We contacted this company via Google as well as 3 other companies. Their bid and costs were in line for what we wanted so we contacted them for an install and dealt with Rod. We waited a week for the glass shower doors to be cut and they set up a day for install. The two men who came out were on time, professional and thorough. They did a fantastic job, cleaned up and worked through the morning! The glass doors look fantastic and the poly coating to repel water works great! In addition, he damaged a window sill, damaged a window screen and gouged out one of our window locks. We e-mailed the company twice but never received an acknowledgement or a response.
