This is my 2nd time ordering Mooyah for takeout and this is the 2nd time they messed up my order. I ordered 2 custom burgers with different buns, cheese, and ingredients and they somehow mixed the orders up? both times? I didn't say anything the first time because I understand we all make mistakes but I thought this was important to share because this repeated lack of quality control may be dangerous if this happens to others with serious allergies. What I ordered: - multigrain bun, patty, NO cheese, lettuce, pickles, jalapenos and diced onions. - potato bun, patty, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatos, pickles, japapenos, diced onions, grilled onions, fried onion strings, and mushroom What I got: - potato bun, patty, swiss cheese, fried onion strings, lettuce, pickles, fried onion string, diced onion, tomatos - multigrain bun, patty, grilled onions, mushrooms, lettuce, pickles, jalapeno If you are providing the custom burger option, please make sure you do it right. You are compromising customers' dietary restrictions and preferences. read more

My absolute, favorite fast, casual burger! The meat is delicious, the buns are soft and tasty, and I always get the mushroom Swiss with the onion straws. I can't drive past without going in for a burger! read more

Great experience at this Mooyah, Irvine! Wonderful customer service and we really enjoyed the meal. I have been to this chain in Texas but have never tried their veggie burger. I was so pleasantly surprised! It was a black bean burger and so flavorful. The milkshakes are very decadent, so delicious. The restaurant was clean and plenty of seating available. I can't wait to try the veggie burger again in the future! read more

Pretty good. I don't know that it's worth $20 for a burger and fries but I wanted to try the place I had a turkey burger. It was average nothing to ride home about. read more

Delicious burgers and fries! It was my first time eating here and I enjoyed it. This was on a Friday around 130pm and it wasn't very busy so I didn't have to wait long for my food. The burgers taste fresh and the fries taste homemade and they give you a cup full of them! My only issue was the burgers are a bit small for the price. I didn't leave feeling full but the food was tasty. The staff was friendly enough and the place was pretty clean. Overall, a pretty good experience. read more

I had heard great reviews of Mooyah from a friend so I decided to check it out. I was kind of disappointed in my experience. I made my own burger with quarter pound beef, mushrooms and grilled onions, and I added the Green Chile Queso and Mooyah Sauce. I think the burger quality was fine but a bit overpriced. I'm not a huge fan of burgers in general so I wasn't satisfied with my experience. It tasted somewhere in between in-n-out and shake shack but pricier. read more

I absolutely love this place, but today I was very disappointed. I placed my order via the app and when I arrived my hot dog was sitting in a bag and they were waiting on the sweet potato fries. Even when the fries were ready they sat for a few minutes while getting other orders ready. So now I have hot fries and a luke warm hot dog. Really upsetting. I know they were slammed, but still no excuse for having part of my order just sitting around. PS - I eat at this location frequently read more

I love MOOYAH, ever since I discovered this place I crave it and dine there at least once a month, luckily it's nearby to where I live! They have a rewards program so here and there i get $5-$10 off which is cool. The sweet potato fries are the best of anywhere I've tried sweet potato fries! Dip them in ranch x2 as good. They do the best lettuce wrap- not too messy, and they wrap it well. I'm a fan of the Keto burger with pickles instead of jalapeños, they have great service and will make any substitution you ask for. Always made hot and fresh- sometimes we eat there because it's a comfortable spot to eat a burger, not too loud or crowded feeling (like some fast food places). Sometimes I pick it up and devour it at home and it's good that it travels well! Shakes are great too - even though I shouldn't, I sometimes grab a cookies and cream and never regret it. read more

I'm a gluten-free foodie and must say finding a gluten-free burger with a bun is a challenge. Definitely loved that mooyah offers a simple but diet-friendly menu. The place stays busy so I would plan on about a 15 min wait. burger options are : -regular -gluten-free -keto -lettuce wrap -paleo Once you choose your diet preference you add in the ingredients of your choice. The flavor of the burger is good, but not quite in my top ten. Overall a suggested place for foodies with a diet preference :) read more

I wish I had a photo to share of all the delicious food we had, but we ate it too fast. We were searching for a quick spot to grab take-out as we were passing through the area on a drive. The food was hot, fresh and really tasty. I got a lettuce wrapped mushroom Swiss burger with added avocado. I'm really glad I skipped the bun because it allowed me to focus on the outstanding flavors of the burger and toppings. Honestly, it's the best burger I've had in a long time. Husband got the standard burger and was extremely pleased, too. The sweet potato fries have a very subtle spice to them. I really liked those too. And as an aside in this covid world, the food prep area is up front so you watch them cook your meal. Which is just a nice peace of mind. If we're ever in the area again, we'll absolutely be back! read more

2nd time visit. O MOO-YAH! Ordered the onion lover burger called The Well D'Onion. Say it fast. Very catchy names on the "Hall Of Dang!" menu. Ordered the double fried, french fries. The Well D'Onion is a 1/3 lb cheeseburger topped off with grilled onions & onion strings laying on raw onions & lettuce embraced by a potato bun/bread. This selection does not have pickles or tomatoes as it would kill the savory flavors of each onion/s. The Certified Angus Beef juices were running down my hand and arm while I was eating. The potato bread is simply the best to use for a burger, it's so tasty. The french fries are hand cut with the skin intact. They are initially fried for about 3-4 minutes, then fried again when filling orders. This allows the smaller pieces to be crispy while keeping the larger pieces hot while your eating. Nay a potato really got cold. Another 5-Star experience for lunch today. Happy MOO-yah and Fight On! read more

Literally the best burger for the price that I have found!!!! My kids devour it after soccer practice in Irvine!

I went here for an early lunch and ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger --- with Swiss cheese, mayo, fried onion strings and a very, very juicy burger. It was really good! Tried this for the first time with my friend for lunch because I believe this place opened recently. Was pleasantly surprised! Lots of good options. I asked the person at the front for a recommendation and ended up going with the turkey club one, I forgot the exact name. I also went with the half and half sweet potato and regular fries which was also a great choice. No complaints here. Food was good, the service was good, and the value was good. Definitely recommend trying this place if you're ever feeling burgers and are in the area. read more

Jordis was polite and very respectful also friendly.I would recommend dining here again.

Woah! It's been a long while reviewing a place since the whole covid-19 stuff started! But I'm still here still keeping strong and hope most all you yelpers and readers are too! Anyways, this was a place I've been dying to try for the longest time. Me and some friends started this weekly tradition of just eating in our cars while talking / hanging out! We decided to try this place out! First and foremost they are pretty good in terms of cleanliness and sanitization. All the workers were wearing masks as well and also it is required everywhere in Irvine to wear a mask so that's good. There menu is pretty extensive but the worker up front was courteous and gave us some suggestion even to my friend who is a vegetarian. I decided to go with the mushroom Swiss burger with bacon and French fries! The burger was absolutely delicious. Extremely juicy and their meat patties aren't frozen so it tasted great! Bacon was crispy and the crispy onions were awesome. The French fries were good. I wish they were a little bit crispier but overall the meal was great! I looked over their vegan/vegetarian menu and it looks great! I'm sure if you have any questions the people upfront will help easily. Overall there wasn't much to complain about. Maybe the price cause it was around $10 for a burger and fries but hell it was worth every penny to me! I would easily recommend this place if you are looking for a delicious burger to eat that to me is appropriately priced. Stay safe and stay healthy everybody! read more

Mooyah burger is a fast food burger joint that serves up some great tasting burgers, fries and shakes. Their burgers are highly customizable with options for beef, chicken, turkey and veggie which are sure to please everyone. I came here with 2 other co-workers and went with the Swiss Mushroom burger and opted for an extra beef patty. We ordered the family size half-half French fries and split it among the 3 of us. Swiss Mushroom Burger ($7.49) - All the beef burgers here come with a 1/4lb. beef patty and are priced at close to $6.50. For a little over a $1 you're able to get an extra patty, which makes for a better deal. My burger was juicy and tasted pretty good. It also came with some fried onions that provided for an excellent mouth feel. Family size half-half fries ($5.50) - A massive amount of French fries and sweet potato fries were served up on a tray. This was a great amount for the 3 of us and made for a much better deal then the single serving of fries. The Idaho potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and tasted pretty good. I was a little disappointed with the soggy sweet potato fries. Overall the food tastes pretty good here and they use Angus beef here for their burgers. The pricing is a bit more than one would expect to pay at In-N-Out. A burger, fry and drink will set one back about $13. I definitely recommend getting the family fries and sharing as well as going with an extra patty to help take some of the sting off from the pricing. read more

The shakes are tasty here, service is quick and friendly. You pay a little more than the average burger joint, but it's worth it in my opinion. The menu has options other than burgers for kids, like the hotdog which my daughter loves here. The French fries are tasty and never soggy here. When I need a quick vegetarian burger and my daughter needs a solid hot dog, we swing by and they never disappoint. Mooyah is always clean, and fundraisers can be held here which is a plus for college clubs at say Irvine Valley College. Decent burgers, solid prices, great service. I never leave disappointed here, and the televisions help make dinner ease by with a breeze. The back tv always has kid tunes on, so be sure if your a parent to sit hear the chalkboard for lots of dinner "fun" I also enjoy how they have a hand sanitizer station near the soft drinks, it makes it easier when you need to feel more hygienic before taking a bite into any dinner. Came here on a Saturday afternoon before visiting Tanaka Farms pumpkin patch. Quick and cheap food but still good quality. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the chicken was fried perfectly. We also ordered the bacon cheese burger without cheese but got cheese on the burger. We brought it back and they made a fresh one no problem. Shareable fries are more than enough for 2 people! Pleasantly surprised by the portion size for the low price tag. Definitely a great place to go if you're craving a burger but want something other than large chain restaurants and don't want to pay an arm and a leg. Only downside to this place was that the inside smelled a little weird to me. Can't put my finger on what the smell was but it was not very pleasant. Although Irvine is not overrun with as many burger places as some cities, it's hard to standout from the crowd, but Mooyah successfully rises above the other local places with excellent food, outstanding service and is reasonably priced. Although the burgers are definitely above average, two "non-burger" items help Mooyah stand out. First, the all beef hot dogs are juicy, grilled and a nice change-up from burgers. Second, the fresh natural cut fries, which are not cooked until just before the rest of the meal is ready are better than any other burger-place fries I've ever had. read more

Great artisan burger and hotdog spot! They have specialities such as Cheddar Bacon Burger, Mushroom Swiss Burger, Double Diablo, Turkey Burger club. All burgers ranges from $6.50-$8.50. We opted for the Mushroom Swiss and it was delicious. Comes with 1/4lb angus beef that's smashed so that edges are a lil crispy, sautéed mushrooms, fried onion rings, mayo on a potato bun. You have the option for other artisan buns such multigrain or non gmo or if you're trying to watch carbs there's the iceberg option too. Overall the burger is solid and tasty. Make it a combo for $4.09 to add a drink and fries. I opted for the sweet potato fries and it's was extra crispy with some sort of added seasoning. It was delicious. Comes in with great portion. Make sure to ask for some sauces. They have MOOYAH sauce which is like a thousand island type of sauce. Tasty. Overall solid place for good quality burger read more

So, we usually order off Uber Eats and our orders are always right. The food tastes fresh. We usually get the Mooyah burgers with cheese and a shareable fries. Was excited to try out for the first time but the food turned out to be disappointing: Cheeseburger: Ordered the basic to test their burgers. They smash the patty on the grill and sprinkle salt on top as they grill. So far so good. But the end product wasn't as good. The bottom bun got soggy quickly. There was very little shredded lettuce and one tiny tomato slice. No pickles. Had I not asked for the onions when ordering, I would not have gotten them in my burger. The biggest negative was the ground tendons inside the patty, those hard bits you can't really chew. I took out at least 5 of them. It results in a bad mouth-feel and the overall lowering of the quality of the patty. Not surprisingly, the patty had that beefy smell (gamey smell/taste) that was unpleasant. Additionally, they could have seasoned the beef more. Overall, the burger lacked flavor. The Idaho fries: It's hard to screw up on fries. I am generally not picky with fries but perhaps because I wasn't enjoying the burger, I began nit-picking at the fries. The fries were not cooked to the fullest. There were too many blackened "eyes" of the potato (you don't want to eat the eyes due to their higher concentration of toxins). Overall, the entire experience was bad enough to tell myself never to return to this place. On to the next burger joint! read more

Awesome burgers! Awesome customer service! Great menu! A lot of choices! But really AWESOME customer service! Very happy !!!

The reviews had me so amped up to try this place, but it ended up being such a letdown. Maybe it was an off night? The fries weren't very flavorful and didn't have the best texture- I love crispy, even if just on the outside, but these fell flat. The burger was missing an ingredient I ordered (pepper jack cheese) so it already wasn't the meal I wanted. But I figured I'd dress it up with the queso, and that did add some flavor. The party itself, however, just tastes really greasy. Overall it was a miss. read more
