All american pizza with half eaten chili soup
    David Y.

Five stars all the way!! Today marks my first morning waking up in Alaska and this place is so beautiful in the Winter season OMG! Along with waking up in subarctic temperatures, I stopped by Mooses for lunch and met Julia who took such good care of me and was an absolute sweetheart! She recommended that I get the All American bc that's just who I am, and so I ordered a small All American personal pie with a chili soup -- all for under $30 and no sales tax. Gotta love Alaska and most importantly, the phenomenal pizza they serve at Mooses. Do not sleep on this place especially if you are visiting.

A beautiful awesome evening amazing people of the world. Tonight we are in Anchorage, Alaska at the Moose's Tooth for some late night grub out. My buddy highly recommended this joint so Lets get to the food shall we. Diablo Bread Sticks - Bread is nice and soft. The light crunchy crust is pleasant. Cheese is good and the sauce is everything. Its also properly spicy 7.9/10 Spicy Thai Chicken - carrots and bean sprouts is very nice. It reminds of me of what CPK used to be. The best part is the crust. It had perfect texture and and an over all score of 8/10 Listen, if you ever make it to Anchorage, Alaska do give this spot a proper go at it and let me know what you think. Hit that follow for more food and travel adventures by yours truly. Share this review with a smash mode buddy and thank you so much for reading along. I love you Mwah!

Went here 7 years ago on a trip with my parents. We were looking for something to eat and drink and found this place on a whim. Didn't realize it was such a local gem. The pizzas are some of the best I've had, and the beers on tap will wet anyone's whistle. Been dreaming about it since then, and I finally got to come back this summer. Still just as good as I remembered it. Would highly recommend for anyone who is craving some beer and some pizza.

Moose's Tooth has some of the best pizza and best brews. We ate here once on vacation 7 years ago and still think about them. So when we came back to Alaska on vacation, this was literally our first stop after leaving the airport. Pizza was just as delicious as we remembered - got their Call of the Wild. Packed with toppings, so cheesy, and so delicious. We ordered a large just so we could have leftovers for dinner later. Love their beers. Good variety as well. Service was great. Efficient and friendly. Hands down, still some of the best pizza. Highly recommend.

We were lucky during our visit to Moose's Tooth. Our wait for a table was a reasonable 30 minutes. With so many pizza choices it was hard decision to make. I ended up getting a small chipotle steak pizza. A small size was the perfect for me with a slice left over for a midnight snack. There are lots of flavors in my mouth with the chipotle sauce, zesty sour cream and lime. Service was ok given how busy they were.

This place was amazing ! All around service and a great atmosphere to be in, especially when it's snowing outside. It's quite loud in here so if you're expecting an intimate spot, this ain't it, at least at the section we were at, but we didn't mind one bit. We had our pizzas small and thin crust (no extra charge) because we wanted to try as many pizzas as we could before we leave town. The Forager was filled with veggies and I love mushrooms on my pizza. The goat cheese was a great contrast to the rest of the pizza, it didn't overpower the other toppings, I think it complimented everything nicely. The crust was phenomenal! I love a crunchy crust, we devoured this pizza easily. The Call of the Wild was also delicious ! I enjoyed all the thinly sliced red peppers that were scattered across the pizza. It didn't taste salty despite having all the meats as toppings. I recommend this pizza if you're a medium carnivore while also getting your veggies in. The highlight of this pizza was the crust, out of all three pizzas, this had the best crunch. The Garlic Lovers pizza was PHENOMENAL! They had roasted garlic cloves scattered across the entire pizza and my goodness the flavor was fantastic. The pizza was savory with generous amounts of garlic, they didn't wave garlic over the pizza like other places, they weren't stingy with it. We appreciated that! If you're a garlic lover, GET THIS PIZZA! We thought this pizza was the best out of the three we tried. We finished the night off with Moose Pie and I didn't expect the pie to literally be coffee ice cream. I was bamboozled when my fork wasn't going through the pie, that's when I realized it was ice cream. We had to wait a few minutes before the ice cream soften a bit. Hahaha still it was very good and sweet. You can share this between 3 people easily. Overall, I highly recommend coming here for good food and great vibes. I can't wait to come back again!!!

Really really thin and sparse on the sauce

Haven't tried much else here besides the pizza lately. Pizza is just ok because it's kind of dry, and the toppings don't seem (not sure what word I'm looking for here) ...succulent? Not quite old, but just kind of lifeless and non exciting especially to the eye. On the other hand, their salads are better, and really crunchy, crave-able & fresh. The ranch is made in house and is pretty good too, it's actually just a touch spicy curiously. Like all Tooth's, Moose's carry their own brewed beer on draft. They have a large selection and there's something for everyone. Theres also a decent root beer they brew themselves also (and cream soda). We especially like the buffalo chicken salad with bleu cheese and the cheddar ranch salad. Servers are always *really* friendly, which is a highlight. There's often a lot of fuss and wait to get in at this restaurant (and parking is often difficult), so I am not sure the pizza is worth it anymore. I prefer Bear's Tooth over all of them honestly.

The Moose's tooth has excellent. Fresh, hot, tasty, quality ingredients. Which is a good thing, because you certainly pay a price for it. It's Amchorage, so everything is expensive, but I've always left feeling that while I had a really nice meal, I didn't get a lot of value. They're known for their pizza, but their salads are excellent, and the cheesy bread sticks are a must try. The service isn't anything to get excited about. The servers are polite and friendly, but rather slow. There aren't a tremendous amount of choices in Midtown. You can do a lot worse than The Moose's Tooth.

This was my last day of a long business trip, and had a craving for pizza, this was the perfect place, it was a wait to get in but well worth it. Very vibrant and upbeat atmosphere with a mix of regulars and tourists, and perfect for large groups. The service was amazingly fast as busy as it was. The medium firehouse with bacon and jalapeños, chili flakes was great, but the all American was excellent peppers mushrooms red onions pepperoni just yum. Both had nice crispy crust with light pillowy edges. For pizza this is a must try when in Alaska

The pizza is great I like it because it was not greasy the price is expensive on the small but hey it's Alaska that comes with a price tag the beer was great with a huge IPA selection I would Highly recommend

    Avi L.

I can see why this is the best pizza place in Alaska! The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce well seasoned, and a plethora of various different pizza toppings. Be sure to have a glass of their local beer which pairs perfectly well with the pizza. Before leaving, be sure to check out their swag! Additionally, consider getting cake for dessert. We sat next to an older gentleman that comes there every week and gets the same meal and says not to pass up the cake!

Our Chat GPT itinerary told us to stop here first thing when we landed in anchorage - and that we did!! He had the reindeer pizza and I had the apricot pizza - both were FANTASTIC! They had a great selection of beers and ciders and very friendly staff! Honestly some of the best pizza we have ever had. It in an unassuming area but the inside was packed and lovely! We will be back if we ever come back to Alaska! Highly recommend!

Probably not. We went on a Wednesday night around 5:30pm and there was no wait. It's a big place.

    Welp, you're in Alaska

Is there a full bar? I don't drink beer. Also are there only IPAs on the menu?

They do not serve liquor, but they do serve wine in addition to about 20 beers on tap. There are a wide variety of beers other then IPA's.

How many people can 1 large pizza feed?

I would say 3 or so.

    Are they open during winter?

They are! You can have Moose's Tooth pizza year round

    Can you make reservations?

No. Also when you show up with a larger party they will not seat you until 1/2 the party is there. Great place and worth the wait. Waiting can be 2+ hours but it was also rated 3rd best pizza in the USA.

I was really excited to hear about the opening of The Rail and couldn't wait to check it out. Their beer is still some of my favorite to this day. I honestly wish they could somehow sell it in other states so I could grab some whenever I feel homesick. I also feel like this space has a lot of potential for small gatherings, farmers markets, block parties, or even little concerts. We'll see what they do with it over time. Don't remember if it's the same pretzel as the other 49th restaurant or not. The beer list is expansive, with beers 49th state brewing is testing out, no beers from other breweries. They have a QR code to scan to see the list and they project it on the wall. We got flights to try different beers. They had a few chocolate and coffee stouts. I tried the Mexican stout and it did not have any hint of cinnamon in it like was described. Also tried the apple cider donut beer. The more I drank it the more overly sweet it was. Happy to try different beers and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The guy working, I think his name was Richard. He was great taking care of everyone and being the only one to hold down the entire room. Great place if you want to try some beers and dont want to deal with the hustle and bustle of 49th state brewing up the road.

It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."

I was really hungry so I got there right when they opened at 11 a.m. I was able to be seated immediately and opted to sit upstairs where the tables were lower as compared to downstairs where the tables were high tops. Off the bat the food is phenomenal. For starters I got their popular handmade Bavarian pretzel. It was perfectly seasoned with butter and salt and the pretzel itself was soft and fluffy. It came with a side of cheese which was just as tasty. I was a little nervous it would taste like the melted cheese you eat at an amusement park- but this cheese had fantastic quality. One really neat thing about this brewery is they make their own fountain drinks! I tried the raspberry one and as you can see they aren't shy about the portions! The drink was really good. It had a great flavor to it, and a nice balance. The raspberry wasn't overpowering which I'm grateful for. For my entree I had the Yak burger that came with a side of tater tots. My waiter recommended I get it cooked at medium to keep it juicy. Typically I'm a medium well to well done type of girl, but I decided to trust his judgement and he was right! The burger was huge, messy, and delicious. The medium was definitely a good call. It was juicy but not so red where it would be off putting! Overall, I had a really incredible dining experience at 49th state brewing. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. My meal came out to about $52 (not including my tip). I would love to come back when it's a bit warmer and sit outside- the views from the restaurant are phenomenal. Also, shout out to my waiter! Seating is made up of booths along the window perimeter, tables thru the middle area and a large bar area with more tables and stools along the counter. The menu selection is surprisingly diverse. I was happy to see halibut as the fish for their fish & chips, as it is often cod or other white fish. I find halibut to be the best. They also have a few dishes with nods to Korean and Thai flavors. There are pizzas and dinner salads too. I went with their bacon jam burger for dinner. It is cooked to your liking and has a grilled apple, cambozola, bacon jam, arugula & house mayo. This is the best burger I've had in a long time. The flavors complement each other so well. If you are a fan of bleu cheese you will really love the cambozola. It is creamy and oozy and is amazing on a burger. My spouse tried their Cuban sandwich and didn't like that the pickles were mediocre and didn't add to the overall flavors, and that the bread wasn't crisped or toasted in any way -- the way Cubans traditionally are. He also took a chance with a appetizer off the specials menu which he imaged was Brussels sprouts however it was shaved sautéed Brussels sprout leaves, over warm couscous with lots of fresh herbs, jalapeños, and heavily spiced with bold spices like fennel. It was bizarre and not like anything we've ever tried. We liked some of the flavors but all together didn't make sense to us so we sent it back, unfortunately. Our child tried the Mac and cheese that came with purple grapes and sorbet. The Mac and cheese was good although I'd advise SRH to try a larger noodle than a small shell so kids can stab it better and get it in their little mouths. The sorbet must be seasonal/rotating bc it was cinnamon honey pear and it was crazy delicious. I'd come back for just the sorbet tbh. Other than that our red-haired bespectacled server was fairly attentive and quite friendly, even on a very busy Friday dinner rush. Parking lot just outside seems easy enough as long as you can grab a spot at busy times. Will be back in the future for the fried halibut (and sorbet!).
