Called him around 330-4pm on Friday and we agree on an appointment at my home at 9am he also asks me to call him at 830. I call him at 830 and now he is leaving town for 2 weeks and can't come look at my PC. When I tell him this is terrible business practice his only response is "It is what it is" and hangs up. Dude strung me along for nothing. If he didn't want to come out he could've just said that and I could've found someone else. Now it is Saturday morning with most repair shops closed for the weekend.

The mini usb connection was ripped off the processor board and is considered a micro soldering repair. I went to 5 repair shops local where I live and none would touch it. I ended up coming to Rochester for my son's high school event today and seen Dragon Computer Tech was the only one open on a Sunday. I called him and he had me send a few pictures and then ended up stopping by his place where he looked at everything and explained that it would be a very difficult repair due to the size and placement of everything but he was willing to do it. He made his first repair and we check it in my vehicle and it ended up needing an adjustment. Second time work like a charm and he just saved me close to 1k if I had to replace everything.

I had requested a PC diagnostic as I had been experiencing issues for a week with the PC randomly…read morepowering down. Eventually I realized it wasn't any sort of power surge. It was something more. After trying to troubleshoot for a month I realized I couldn't figure it out and took it to C&H PC. They were able to take the PC in without any issues before they switched offices. I waited about a week before hearing back about the diagnostic. It was then when I was told that the issue is my motherboard. So here we go $280 on a new motherboard through Amazon for next day delivery. I go ahead and call at 8:50AM to ask if it's a convenient time to drop off the PC. They said yes. I go to their office but it turns out they had moved into their new location. The representative I spoke with on the phone failed to mention this crucial information. Therefore forcing me to not be able to drop off the part until practically their closing time. I drop off the motherboard and it is installed. The next day I get a call stating that it had fried my fan controller. I go on the hunt and find what I believe is the correct one as I don't have my PC in front of me. I email them to verify the part, and they respond saying it's the correct one. Well low and behold. The next day the part comes in that they told me they matched with my part and it was not the correct one. There goes another $60. We find the right part after I spend my thirty minute lunch break standing in their office at the counter. So here we go another $60 to have it shipped from Corsair's factory in California. Fast forward a week it gets here. I take it to the repair place and they hook up the fan controller to my fans, unplug the AIO. Launch the PC and all the other fans work. That is when they realized this entire time the issue was the AIO shorting out my fan controller. So all I needed was a new AIO. Not the $280 motherboard. Not the incorrect $60 fan controller. Not the correct $60 fan controller that wasn't needed. Not to mention the $112 labor for the motherboard replacement that wasn't required. At that point I realized I was dealing with an unprofessional business who didn't take me serious and saw their opportunity for a money grab. I picked up my PC after paying $121.50 and am going to figure this out on my own as C&H PC is highly unreliable in diagnosing and resolving PC issues. Horrible customer service, with a very negative attitude over the phone. Let alone the practical extortion I might say. Making me pay $112 labor for something my PC never needed. Not to mention I got my PC back and my old parts that are still functional. For them to not even include the power cable for my PC. So now I have to go back to this business. During their unaccommodating work hours of 8:30AM-4:30PM M-F which is when everyone else is working and cannot go in. Not to mention no weekends whatsoever. To be able to get my PC power cable for my power supply if they haven't somehow misplaced that item. I am absolutely baffled by this business and how they treat their customers. Especially being the only PC repair place locally accessible with a decent diagnostic fee.
