I appreciated it because the slope on some greens was pretty severe. There were a couple of blind tee shots and a couple of blind shots into the green, but overall there was a great mixture of holes. #6 and 7 are very tough back-to-back holes from the tips. 6 is a long, dogleg left, uphill par 4. Dan Jenkins wrote about it being the toughest hole in the Western Hemisphere in 1990; that statement still holds up. The next is a long par 3 over water (pro tip: the drop area is on the other side of the green, but missing right is your first option). Clubhouse seemed nice, but the pro-shop was small. The practice area was just okay regarding some other country clubs in the area. Longer shots aren't measurable off the driving range. Big putting green which was nice. Lastly everyone I encountered was laid back and very nice.

The Beacon House Changes Lives for the Better!…read more If you've never been down on your luck, I mean hit rock bottom you have no idea how valuable real, uncondtional love is and what it can do for your spirits. During the real estate boom, donations kept up with the need. That is no longer the case, you never know, you might be the one getting evicted next year or next month. The Beacon House needs canned foods, perishables, winter clothes, shoes, furniture, even cash. The number of addict who's lives have been permanently turned around who stayed at the Beacon House dwarfs what ever rehab track record any where in the area. Donate as much and as often as you can. It might be you in need next year.
