It was not clean. The food was good. We had a table for six and ordered burgers, shakes, patty melt, chicken fried steak, a kids meal, etc. The food was hot and prepared as we asked, although the service was lackluster. Four servers stood in a cluster at the front chatting, with another server who had gone off shift sitting at the counter, eating and socializing. The restaurant was not busy when we got there, and I remember thinking that it was a tad overstaffed. We had to hunt down our server for refills, to order two more items, to ask for to go boxes in the check. Still, this would not keep us from coming again. However, the state of the floors would. We were not at a booth where I might be able to understand because it's hard to get around under the table. We were at banquette seating on one side and plain ol' chairs on the other with very movable tables. And underneath the tables it was obvious that this floor had not been cleaned in sometime. Not just dirt. Crud. Straw wrappers, bits of food, even loose change. The floor was just filthy. Once I saw that, I just stopped eating. A busy restaurant is a good thing, but a busy restaurant that no one takes time to clean is just, well, gross. Was looking for a last minute breakfast spot and remembered this place. I knew I could come here and get some homestyle food for a good price. Everyone was able to find something they want and left with our bellies full. The corned beef hash was very good as well as their French toast and pancakes. In this day we all wanted breakfast! And Moonlighr was suggested. We were greeted by the very nice hound lady, and of course we wanted to sit outside! It was a little warm, but we enjoyed it a lot! We sat by the pond on the porch. Watched the farm animals, they were so friendly. We all had leftovers, and they were just as good the best day.Sinwrs mine this are so amazing! What a find! Looking for a fun place with good "American fare" near I-95 around Sheridan? Stop by this diner and enjoy the fun atmosphere of a 60s diner inside! The place was so cutely decorated! We stopped for breakfast and we're quickly served... I have driven by many times while going shopping and finally decided to stop because the kids said the milk shakes are the best! So, yes , the brownie shakes were super good - just as they expected it !- I ordered fish and chips. It was ok. The boys had chocolate chip pancakes and club sandwich. The bacon was undercooked, therefore they just removed it and said the sandwich was fine. The place was not busy , but the service was not the best. This used to be my go-to diner in the area as it had a good feel to it like an old school NJ place. Unfortunately, they have dropped off considerably in the food & service area. For a quick breakfast last week, the 1st thing I notice is this place is getting run down. The floors, walls bathrooms all could use an upgrade. We are seated near the back and our server was actually good until the order was delivered then she was Missing in Action so to speak. Kept it pretty basic with an egg breakfast with some meats & Potatoes, while the second order was biscuits & Gravy. Coffee was hot & Fresh and Diet coke was the other beverage. Food came timely & the eggs were actually quite good, but it is really hard to screw up breakfast. My Biscuits & Gravy were TERRIBLE. The Biscuits obviously homemade were RAW inside & the gravy itself was somewhat tasteless. Since our server never came back till 15 minutes after the meal was put down, there was not even an opportunity to complain. No coffee refills were offered nor a soda refill. Honestly the place is showing its age & with all the options in the area I will scratch this off my list of places to go. read more

I've been coming to this diner for as long as I could remember. I'm so glad that it remained in the same spot and they kept the nostalgic design of the place. I came here with a fellow Yelp Elite, Monica about a month ago. It wasn't a busy night at all. We opted to sit inside because we just adore the retro look. (They actually added an outdoor seating area because you know why). FYI. This is one of the few vintage diners in the US and it's been filmed many times. We started with some Chicken Wings and Fries with Gravy. The wings were perfectly crisp and the fries were decent. For the main entrée, I got the Corned Beef Reuben with Loaded tots. This was absolutely tasty. Nice toasty bread and the beef was flavorful. The tots were great as well. My friend got the Meatloaf Sandwich with Onion Rings but she said the meatloaf could have been a little juicier. However, the rings were perfect and they were huge. For dessert, we both got their hand-dipped milkshakes which they're known for. My Oreo Shake didn't disappoint. Right amount of thickness, right amount of sweetness. It was heaven! My friend also loved her Oreo Banana shake. We really had a pleasant time here. Their classic diner food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The place also was spotless. Plus, the décor was very Instagram worthy. We just hope people continue to support this vintage gem. This diner was a short walk from the hotel we stayed at after a cruise. I loved the print memorabilia that lined the walls. The music was a great mix of oldies. We had an attentive server. Awesome diner. Couldn't decide on a spot for my family to eat.. this place looked intriguing. They serve breakfast all day. They have outdoor seating as an option and sell alcohol. The food was fresh and hot. Didn't try a milkshake but will on the next trip. The breakfast was awesome. I would suggest the bacon cheeseburger or the 2222 is great with bacon, sausage eggs and pancakes. We got that and it fed the kids easily! The staff is very friendly and care for their customers. I've been here twice now - once for breakfast and once for dinner. The food is inconsistent, and so is the service. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries for dinner and it was fine, nothing to write home about. The BLT sandwich was good. Fried shrimp were okay. My family had previously had thin shoestring French fries at a prior visit but our server insisted that they have never served them there before? I don't know. We didn't get them arguing with us about it, but that's fine. I went back for breakfast and ordered the hungry man breakfast with a decent amount of food for $12.99 (eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast). The toast it came with was only one slice of toast cut in half, but it was really thick. It wasn't toasted very much. The hash browns were flavorless but the pancakes were nice and cakey. A piece of our order was missing and we were asked if we still wanted it brought out to us, which is a pet peeve of mine because this should be noticed and taken care of without asking. Anyway, it was brought out to us and all was okay. Others in my group had the corned beef hash (just ok - was oddly served as a bowl mixed with hash browns) and another combo breakfast platter. My family who's dined here more often than me agrees that it's gone downhill since their first visit. Google may show that they're closed even when they're not - they did on the Wednesday when we wanted to eat here for brunch. read more

The bus boy (man) dumps the leftover drinks into the grass in the patio area. I never seen this before, why wouldn't he take it to the back with the dirty dishes. Dumping drinks over the side of the railing attracts bugs and makes the outside concrete wet and dirty. It's a form of littering at the place where you order your food.
