Was looking for a last minute breakfast spot and remembered this place. I knew I could come here and get some homestyle food for a good price. Everyone was able to find something they want and left with our bellies full. The corned beef hash was very good as well as their French toast and pancakes. This used to be my go-to diner in the area as it had a good feel to it like an old school NJ place. Unfortunately, they have dropped off considerably in the food & service area. For a quick breakfast last week, the 1st thing I notice is this place is getting run down. The floors, walls bathrooms all could use an upgrade. We are seated near the back and our server was actually good until the order was delivered then she was Missing in Action so to speak. Kept it pretty basic with an egg breakfast with some meats & Potatoes, while the second order was biscuits & Gravy. Coffee was hot & Fresh and Diet coke was the other beverage. Food came timely & the eggs were actually quite good, but it is really hard to screw up breakfast. My Biscuits & Gravy were TERRIBLE. The Biscuits obviously homemade were RAW inside & the gravy itself was somewhat tasteless. Since our server never came back till 15 minutes after the meal was put down, there was not even an opportunity to complain. No coffee refills were offered nor a soda refill. Honestly the place is showing its age & with all the options in the area I will scratch this off my list of places to go. read more

I have driven by many times while going shopping and finally decided to stop because the kids said the milk shakes are the best! So, yes , the brownie shakes were super good - just as they expected it !- I ordered fish and chips. It was ok. The boys had chocolate chip pancakes and club sandwich. The bacon was undercooked, therefore they just removed it and said the sandwich was fine. The place was not busy , but the service was not the best. I've been coming to this diner for as long as I could remember. I'm so glad that it remained in the same spot and they kept the nostalgic design of the place. I came here with a fellow Yelp Elite, Monica about a month ago. It wasn't a busy night at all. We opted to sit inside because we just adore the retro look. (They actually added an outdoor seating area because you know why). FYI. This is one of the few vintage diners in the US and it's been filmed many times. We started with some Chicken Wings and Fries with Gravy. The wings were perfectly crisp and the fries were decent. For the main entrée, I got the Corned Beef Reuben with Loaded tots. This was absolutely tasty. Nice toasty bread and the beef was flavorful. The tots were great as well. My friend got the Meatloaf Sandwich with Onion Rings but she said the meatloaf could have been a little juicier. However, the rings were perfect and they were huge. For dessert, we both got their hand-dipped milkshakes which they're known for. My Oreo Shake didn't disappoint. Right amount of thickness, right amount of sweetness. It was heaven! My friend also loved her Oreo Banana shake. We really had a pleasant time here. Their classic diner food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The place also was spotless. Plus, the décor was very Instagram worthy. We just hope people continue to support this vintage gem. OMG!!!! This place hands down! The food was amazing. My husband ordered the Rueben with extra cheese and they do not mess around. Super cheesy. I had the Buffalo Chicken wrap and fries. The bus boy (man) dumps the leftover drinks into the grass in the patio area. I never seen this before, why wouldn't he take it to the back with the dirty dishes. Dumping drinks over the side of the railing attracts bugs and makes the outside concrete wet and dirty. It's a form of littering at the place where you order your food. The food was fresh and hot. Didn't try a milkshake but will on the next trip. The breakfast was awesome. From the airport straight to here. Walked right and got seated even with it being a lot of people in here. Centrally located near i95 and in the heart of a lot of shopping plazas. All of the food was delicious . Especially my plate I had the corn beef hash and a side of French toast croissants that didn't last long enough to take a picture . Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. Helped make excellent suggestions oh and let me tell you if you are a sweet tea connoisseur like myself their sweet tea is the bomb ! Wow this is def the spot. First impression- def clean for a diner! The service was great and because the manager stopped by I now know this is a family owned restaurant. Having a manager stop by is so important to setting the happy welcoming tone. Then the waitress - busy as hell- was so attentive to all of our needs. She was great. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries for dinner and it was fine, nothing to write home about. The BLT sandwich was good. Fried shrimp were okay. My family had previously had thin shoestring French fries at a prior visit but our server insisted that they have never served them there before? I don't know. We didn't get them arguing with us about it, but that's fine. I went back for breakfast and ordered the hungry man breakfast with a decent amount of food for $12.99 (eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast). The toast it came with was only one slice of toast cut in half, but it was really thick. It wasn't toasted very much. The hash browns were flavorless but the pancakes were nice and cakey. A piece of our order was missing and we were asked if we still wanted it brought out to us, which is a pet peeve of mine because this should be noticed and taken care of without asking. Anyway, it was brought out to us and all was okay. Others in my group had the corned beef hash (just ok - was oddly served as a bowl mixed with hash browns) and another combo breakfast platter. My family who's dined here more often than me agrees that it's gone downhill since their first visit. This is THE coolest diner! It's like taking a trip on a time machine. The outside is just unreal. The building is all metal and has a cool 50s space age look. The walks inside are lined with funky retro artwork. The diner inside looks just like a classic 1950s diner. The staff is so sweet and helpful too. The door is soooo good. Let me start by saying, Jennifer , our waitress, is absolutely amazing. She is friendly and attentive. Moonlight Diner serves comfort food and I was overdue for my visit to Moonlight. I cannot stop raving about this place. My BF and I decided to stop in after arriving back in town. I, as usual, started with one of their milkshake of the day, the Twix Milkshake, and OMG, it did not disappoint. And of course there was extra which could not fit in the glass and was also served. My BF decided on the blue cheese burger with onion rings and he says it was thick and juicy. And the onion rings were not overly breaded. I had the French onion soup to start. Came out piping hot in a cute pottery bowl and the cheese cap was perfectly thick. It was very tasty. For the main course I had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. There was the perfect amount of buffalo sauce mixed with the chopped fried chicken tenders. Ranch lettuce, onions and tomatoes finish off the wrap and when eaten all flavors work well together. For a Florida diner, the food is very good. Living in New York, expectations are always low for diners outside of my area.

We were sat in the back due to having a toddler who needed a high chair so we'd be out of the walking way for customers & staff (which we didn't mind). Unfortunately, we never got served and no one walked our direction for the 15 minutes we waited. Multiple staff looked our direction from across the diner and didn't question why we were not being served and looking at them. We let the manager know on our way out why we were leaving. All I wanted was the eggs, hash, and biscuit - which was $9 - to get something comparable is now nearly $16 bucks. I wasn't told this when I called in the order.
