We came here for breakfast before our cruise left and loved Grampa's Restaurant. We were seated right away. Our waiter was Giovanni and he was super friendly and attentive! You can tell he's a hard worker. The prices were pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get. I tried their '2 Eggs Your Way' with their everything bagel which was soo good. It's the best bagel I've ever had. It was fluffy and had the perfect amount of crunch. My fiancé had a bagel sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it, his portion was HUGE! We had two cappuccinos which were good. If we lived in this area, I'd definitely come back for their fresh bagels. read more

Grampa's, Dania Beach, next to Jaxson's Plaza. Opened in 1957 and bought and renovated by new ownership in 2021, I hadn't been before. It has legendary status. One of the last few vestiges of original Jewish deli culture in SoFL that remains. Rachel and I shared an "Ultimate BLT" ($17) and a fruit salad ($5). Good diner coffee ($4 each, large mugs with refills). I love the complimentary coffee cake; it is nice and moist. Rachel believes it is oil or margarine-based. Fruit salad was good, with a nice mix of melon, grapes, strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries. BLT is on a white flour-dominant rye bread with caraway, and I didn't love it--a few slices of bacon. The avocado was smashed like avocado toast. The bread was broken and torn when cut, and the presentation was lousy. As a benchmark, the BLT at Dyan's in Coral Springs blows it away. We did not order bagels, they are $2 each, $3 for flagels and $1 for minis. $25 a bakers dozen. That is INSANE, among the highest bagel prices I've seen locally (I think H&H in Boca is slightly more) We only got a few to go. If you order one at the table it is $4. I didn't bother with the deli; it was all commercial Carnegie stuff. Meh. Likely a one and done with this place. read more

Located on Dania beach one block from Jaxson's, Grampa's bas been around as a community staple for decades but it was sold to a new owner. The food was upgraded and even better than before. The bagels are huge. Lots of choices to choose from. Nice salads an dips to take home with you. It's like going to a bagel store in nyc. There is a large area for dining inside or outside. Plentiful menu to choose from. I had the smoked salmon platter. The dish was nice and fresh. I walked out satiated. I highly recommend this community staple. read more

Isn't it delicious when you find the perfect spot for brunch. We went there last week since it was redone and what a gem. We enjoyed our omelettes. I had a great avocado, spinach and cheese one.... Eddie had a spinach bacon and provolone cheese one... yum! They make great bagels too! Loved my flagel! Flat bagel and soooo good! When I got my check I saw a $3.99 charge fir butter! Asking the server she said it was for TOADTING THE BAGEL! Never heard of it before. Server said every restaurant she worked in had such a charge. I call b.s.! Never in hundreds of deli meals all over the US and never heard of this Other petty charges and issues but this was the most agregious. Fodd and service was ok but not worth this stupidity. DONT GO TO A PLACE THST SQUEEZES EVERY PENNY THEY CAN FROM THEIR PATRONS! P S. We visited the place for breakfast a few weeks back. Place is nice lots of seating, easy parking as well. It is a nice breakfast diner and the ambience is good and prompt service. We ordered the bagels and it was tasty, nicely toasted and plenty of cream cheese. New Grampa's. I really never liked the food all these years. The bakery? YES but the food, no. However I came here with my son for breakfast and the new diner is real modern and pretty. Very clean and very packed. Parking is still a hot mess and hard to find parking. The food was very good. Will be back. Great job! read more

A Hollywood classic! I've been going here since I was a kid and on a recent visit to see my parents, I was reminded why. Grandpas is nestled right between Hollywood and Dania Beach off of a tiny side-street so on a busy weekend it may be hard to find parking, but it's well worth the effort. Grandpas was bought out by new owners and who changed the classic look and brought in a more modern vibe. It's clean, organized, and "chic" looking but the concept remains the same: a no frills breakfast/lunch spot with a deli counter at the front. We came on a Saturday morning and were able to get a table right away. I ordered a Greek omelette which was packed with spinach, tomato, and feta. It was served with a side of hash browns and a garlic bagel. The bagel was huge, covered in garlic, and perfectly toasted. My wife and I also shared a short stack of pancakes. Not sure what they put in them but the pancakes are melt-in-your- mouth delicious and some of the best I've tried in this area. My dad ordered the half order of French toast. They served him a full order by mistake but the server was apologetic and made sure it was charged for what we ordered. Our server was visibly busy that day but she made sure our drinks stayed full and we were well attended to. Grandpas knows how to do breakfast! Even under the new ownership, the homestyle feel is still there and locals will tell you Grandpas is an local favorite. Don't come expecting a trendy, hipster spot to dote your Insta feed with. Grampa's will offer good breakfast and lunch options with friendly and rather quick service. Why the 3 star rating? Their bakery items were just plain bad. The crumb cake was good enough to build with and the the rugelach was just as dry. Stick to the food items on the menu. My friend stated that the bagels were very good, I didn't have one but I trust his rating. Parking is limited here to a few spots in front of the building, after that it's street parking or parking into the residential area to the west. Please be careful not to block other businesses or park where you are not sure as they will tow. Generous portions and rather low pricing will have to coming back for more. read more

I had a homemade everything bagel that was perfectly done and super soft. I also had the Mexican omelette which was good but I would have preferred the salsa on the side was a little much. My friend had the French toast and she said it was delicious. If you get there before 1 they give you a sample of their pastries. Serve was a little slow but overall I would recommend. read more

Love the place. Been down from NY for 30 years and worked at Bens Deli when I was there. Loved the concept of a "Hot Dog Knish" but they need to use a good Hebrew National or other Kosher hot dog. Big difference. Skimping on quality dues not work. Fro one foodie to another! read more
