Arrived around 4:00 on a rainy Saturday with friends. Looking for a cool drink and a bite to eat near Hollywood Young Circle. Wasn't sure what to expect with the name Tipsy Boar. Walked in a large beautiful bar to one side (which was full) and tables on the other. We decided to eat outside on a large high top as we were a party of six. The large fan outside kept us cool. To start I ordered the watermelon sangria which was amazing and favorable also from 4 to 6:00 they have happy hour to dollars off drinks. I also ordered the Cuban sandwich cooked to perfection served with fries. Our friends ordered several appetizers which are pictured. Everyone enjoyed their meals and stated they would return. Service was amazing and the food came out in a timely manner. Can't wait to visit to try other items on the menu.

Second time I'd been here , last time was for lunch and I had the wedge salad and it was good . Supper was delish , we started with a glass of white wine and a mojito. Ordered one of the specials which was escargot , it was delicious with arugula and toast . Then we had a prosciutto pizza , again delicious. We ended it with the Lobster Mac and Cheese and I wasn't as impressed with it as the rest of the meal . It was ok , not cheesy enough and not flavorful for my liking . Great inside and outside seating areas , great vibes and good service.

My friend found this place and we decided to check it out. We came here on a Saturday night around 8 PM. It wasn't crowded. We were able to get a table right away. It was only three of us. It's not a huge or big establishment. It's pretty tight inside so if it was crowded, I probably wouldn't feel comfortable sitting inside, but they also have outside seating. We ordered the duck wings on the appetizer menu. They were just OK. I wouldn't order it again. It's not that it was bad but they need to pump up the flavor or seasoning on the wings. We also ordered burgers. I had the boar burger and my friend had another type of burger that I can't remember the name maybe I'll remember it later. The boar burger was good, but once again I feel like they are not bringing the flavors to the meat. My friend enjoyed his burger, but he tried the boar burger from us and he said our burger was better. Overall cool place. Our server was really nice. Her name was May I think. The Barr selection isn't that wide the tequila that I wanted they didn't have and I think I asked for three different tequilas and they didn't have any of them. All alcoholic drinks are $14.

Came in for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. Service was friendly and quick! We ordered 2 beers, the slider combo, and the goat cheese and arugula flatbread. The beers were nice and cold. The food was just okay. The flatbread especially was very dry, almost cracker-like. I would come again but just for happy hour drinks.

Comfortable outdoor seating and good noise level where you can enjoy the music but still have a conversation (can you tell my age? ) Over server was very nice and helpful, we got timely service. Would def revisit.

Good location in Hollywood but wasn't overly impressed. The menu was huge but most people were ordering pizza. The cocktails were very syrup heavy and overall not good. The food was okay but nothing over the top. The place is huge but it wasn't super busy when I went. A place for a quick bite not a super nice meal.

Great first visit! The food was delicious -- my husband loved his steak and my Italian sausage broccoli pizza was surprisingly good. Drinks were strong and tasty. Our server, Chino, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome. The ambience was nice too. I'm giving it four stars because the water didn't taste great, and sitting outside meant dealing with the cigar smell from the shop next door. I'd definitely return, just inside next time.

The goat cheese croquettes were delicious and creamy with a sweet apricot sauce. The waitress was very attentive to our needs, keeping our drinks full as we ate. The eclectic decor of the restaurant made for an interesting backdrop as we ate. I am looking forward to returning and trying other menu items.

Talk about comfort food. Omg the beet salad is huge. My husband and i shared the appetizer salad and steak. The wait staff at the bar always extremely kind and attentive. You got to try this place.

I stumbled across this spot on my way to my favorite kava bar after a day at the beach. It's a causal pub that has a laid back vibe. I've been twice and had good, friendly service each time. Everyone is pretty chill and accommodating. For starters I tried the goat cheese apricot and thyme croquettes and the lamb gyro croquettes. Both were good but the goat cheese was better in my opinion. I had the Tipsy pasta at the recommendation of my server and it was really good. I also ordered the house salad.

We were a party of ten, we went to dine at The Tipsy Boar. We sat outside, so our large group could see and hear each other. The inside, however seems like it's more of the place to be. It seems like we were forgotten where we were, there were other patrons also sitting outside. Eventually a waitress came out with a notepad and a pen, and asked "what would you like?" I told her "some menus please". None of us received menus. We got a few of the Crudiola Pizzas to share, also the Green Apple & Grana Padana Salad with Shrimp. This pizza was very tasty. It was a thin crust with Mascarpone, making it very cheesy and decadent. It was generously topped with prosciutto, arugula and more cheese. The salad was very fresh, it had a lot of potential, but it was very dry. I tried tracking down the waitress to add some dressing, but she never came. My Raspberry Pomegranate Sangria was a great choice. It was sweet and paired with my pizza very well. I feel like if we were seated inside the service would have been better. With so many other places to dine in the area, I probably wouldn't return here again.

Pub Crawl - 1st stop... Parked on Harrison Street and saw a cool patio bar for happy hour from 4p - 6p - $2 off all craft brew and $8 apps. Walked in and sat at the bar and met with the bartender, Anthony, who gave us some food options and recommended highly the Sliders - pork belly, pulled pork and cheeseburger. We loved all three. We ordered the Watermelon Martini and the Tipsylicious 3Sons. Crazy delish both drinks. They have a big chalk board on the wall with forty craft tap beers. They also have a gas oven pumping out pizzas. The bathroom had beer decor on the walls and was spotless.

Ask the Community - The Tipsy Boar

    Do they have Free parking?

No, not free, but they do have a parking lot, with an attendant. And the cost without tip is only five dollars. I think it's a good deal. You do have to go around the back to get into the lot. Bring cash.

    Are you dog friendly?

They have an outside dining area where dogs are allowed.

    Happy hour hours anyone?

    2 PM - 7 PM and 11 PM - Close everyday.

Is it more of a local scene or tourists?

More for the locals but it's easy access to the tourists on the beach. Worth it to check out burgers and pizza are awesome and tons of beers on tap.

Adding a mandatory 18% service charge to a meal where the kitchen failed and the management was stingy is unacceptable. Save your money and go to a place that stands behind their menu. Steak & eggs and the Untoasted breakfast + side of ham. The screwdriver had an odd taste & the ham was extremely soft/squishy/seemed uncooked internally. The steak was not cooked well- but acceptable enough to eat. Our server never checked on us after we got our food which sucks because we needed a few things. A different server ended up walking by much later and asked if we needed help which is when I told her I'd like to send back the ham and screwdriver- both of which I barely took a bite/sip out of. I just told her I didn't like them and she got a bit of an attitude and wanted specifics as to why I didn't like it. I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. My steak arrived well done which is far from medium rare, I asked Patrick to have a new steak prepared because the original steak was not prepared to my liking. Here is where I have an issue with the service provided. Yes, the steak was taken back, however when the new steak arrived, is it expected that I eat "room temperature" sides and shrimp? Why was the entire meal not made over? Needless to say, I was charged a fee for having a large party, however I did not have a large party dining experience. I spent the evening watching everyone enjoy their meal and I simply waited. I asked for the food to be prepared to go, to prevent everyone else in the party from having to wait on me to eat. Nonetheless, no leader came over to greet me or offer any type of good faith gesture for the inconvenience. My bill alone was in excess of $2,000, and I left an additional tip because Patrick and the team were great, however I expect a certain level of service from restaurants especially when you are requesting additional fees to service the client.

This one is out of the ordinary for me. I believe Twin Peaks is a franchise. A sports bar (I guess). I'm not into sports. I had only been here once a few years ago to watch a UFC fight with a friend. 4 months ago I was on Hollywood Blvd and I was starving. And there are a LOT of excellent restaurants on this street and 1 street over. But that day I just wanted a burger and a drink. I had zero expectations. But this time I paid attention. They have a LOT of excellent mixed drink and beer options here. Mixed drinks, cocktails, shots, etc. And I had a burger (Billionaire's Bacon Burger) that was so good Im now addicted to it . But what REALLY made an impression was the staff. The female staff are attractive. But that's not what I'm writing about. I was very impressed by the fact that they were just... nice. They were attentive, engaging, friendly, but not annoying. Obviously well trained. My servers were Emily, Celina and Q. And the manager working that day was Angel. And then I met another manager named Isa, and a bartender named Mackenzie, who were both amazing. I discreetly wrote down their names because I knew I was gonna write a review. The male staff are all very friendly and professional. I've met a few of them during my visits. So many people take the time to write bad reviews. I managed a large number of employees for 25 years. I always made it a priority to "catch you doing something good". To let an employee know how impressed I was with how they handled something, and to remind them how lucky we were to have him or her on our team. No matter how old you are, positive reinforcement goes a long way when you're working. And it makes it easier to accept constructive criticism when it is received. There wasn't much music and the televisions were playing different sports, that were not synced and were very random. Next, the bartenders were polite, as they can be. They weren't mean or rude. Problem: The bartenders don't pay attention to, or are too distracted, to give good service tot everyone . It was awful. They look lost and disorganized, which means management was lacking. It took them over 20 minutes for each drink, including water. The food came out very slow, even for appetizers. In order for me to get my check, and their attention, I had to walk down to the other side of the bar to get her to send the check to me. I was literally head down on the bar, for the amount of time it took to serve us. I think it's a great location, but the food and service were subpar and inefficient. I will not return, but if you're into slow service and nonchalant attention, enjoy yourself.
