My wife and I recently stopped by Joey Aventura for dinner and left impressed from start to finish. We kicked things off with a spicy passion fruit margarita and a smoked Old Fashioned--both crafted perfectly. The seared salmon sushi was incredibly fresh, the Chicken Katsu Carbonara Udon was rich and flavorful, and the steak with ponzu sauce was easily the standout of the night. The ambiance was lively without being over the top, service was attentive throughout the evening, and the overall experience felt polished and enjoyable. If you're spending time at Aventura Mall and looking for great food, well-made cocktails, and a fun atmosphere, Joey is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back. read more

This place would definitely get 5 stars for atmosphere and service! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere with a perfect balance of casual and upscale, which makes it a suitable restaurant for any special occasions. Service is stellar with great people who are happy to be at work. Lucie was my waitress, and she was an absolute gem from start to finish. The food and drinks were good, but nothing mind blowing, so that is the only area where I take away a star. Overall, great place with great people. read more

We came back here for a birthday dinner! We were not disappointed. The food ,service and atmosphere was fantastic. First when you walk in you are offered a complimentary glass of champagne. This is such a nice touch; makes you feel special and just puts you in a good mood. Our server was very friendly and she made sure to ask about allergies and gave us tips on the menu and pointed out when a dish was spicy. I think this is very considerate. The food was delicious. The miso mushrooms were so tasty. My family had the wings and while spicy they said they were very good. Next for the main course, the fajitas were so delicious. The tortillas were baked perfectly, all the sides were delicious and there was definitely a good portion size. The burger we have as before so we knew it would be good and that sis not disappoint. The steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty. On both the burger and the steak, fries were amazing . Portion sizes for main courses were good, big enough to be full after. For dessert, we were very happy. I would say everyone loves their desserts individually but we all agreed that the vanilla ice cream was the best! Not sure if they make this in house but I was so good. My apple pie was good and very big I could not eat it by myself . All in all , Joey aventura is a great place to celebrate with family and friends or just enjoy a quality meal!. read more

My daughter and I were celebrating our birthdays during the week of March 19-24 and Joey Aventura was one of our picks. As we entered, we were warmly greeted by the lovely Sarah, the hostess who presented both of us with a glass of champagne! That was a class act. We were also impressed by how beautiful the entry and the bar area were decorated in glass, lush plants, and darker woods 2 stories high with small lights everywhere. Very upscale, classy and romantic. We were seated in a very comfortable plush booth and were greeted by our server, Amalya, who was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. We planned to share a few appetizers and a meal. We ordered the Japanese Gyoza tray, which was delicious and satisfying. For our main dish, we ordered the Lobster Spaghetti and soon as we took a bite, we both said "Mmmmm!". It was very good with perfect seasoning and nice sized lobster pieces. Good pick. We added the HH Truffle fries as a side and they were extra special. We had a very nice birthday meal. Parking is close by in a huge parking lot. It is ADA compliant as is Joey. We will definitely return again. read more

Joey Aventura was such a great experience, especially for my first visit! I had friends in town from New York and wanted to take them somewhere that felt a little elevated and this place delivered. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne, which instantly set the tone. The atmosphere is beautiful very inviting, well-lit, and perfect for a nice night out without feeling too fancy. We also ordered the peach Bellinis, which were slushy and absolutely delicious so refreshing! We started with the spicy crab dip and sourdough bread, and wow both were absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I had the hibachi wings with truffle fries. Our waiter, Luis, mentioned that the wings were the spiciest thing on the menu and he was right! They had a great kick, but were still incredibly flavorful and honestly so delicious to me. My friend ordered the Joey cheeseburger and loved it just as much. Of course, we couldn't skip dessert! We shared the molten chocolate cake and the crème brûlée cheesecake, and both were incredible the perfect sweet ending to the night. It is a little on the pricey side, but honestly, it's worth it for the quality, service, and overall experience. I'll definitely be back! read more

I finally got to try out Joey Aventura which is located in The Abbey next to/in the middle of Aventura Mall. The location is beautiful. It's an upscale American style steakhouse. They offer you free sparkling wine at the entrance. We ordered the Korean fried cauliflower upfront which was very flavorful and slightly spicy. We loved it. Our mains were good but not 100%. I had the Chilean sea bass which was good but not super flavorful. The other adult in my party order the steak and ravioli. Ravioli was delicious but steak a bit overcooked and then it took a while to get an extra peppercorn sauce which didn't end up tasting good. Desert was great. Love the apple pie and creme brûlée cheesecake. read more

I took my granddaughter to Joey Aventura last night and we had a fantastic time. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive service, everyone made us feel special. The ambience is attractive and inviting; romantic enough for a date night but still fun for happy hour with girlfriends, or a special meal with family. We loved the food! I had a perfectly made Negroni, we shared amazing pork gyoza, and my main dish, the steak & ravioli bianco was the star of the show. My granddaughter scarfed down the cheesy butter noodles from the kids' menu, and they even happily served her a scoop of vanilla ice cream to end the night. Every detail, from the chill R&B music playlist, to the service, made it a truly memorable evening. read more

What a beautiful spot here. Fantastic entryway. Service at the bar (Ray & Daijah) was attentive with good recommendations. Pomegranate Margarita (I got it not spicy) was perfect. House salad was delicious, fresh, and unique (strawberries). Spicy Crab Dip was phenomenal. Fantastic flavor, with just the right amount of zip. Sake Glazed Chilean Sea Bass was my main. Real nice piece of fish here, the glaze was excellent as well. 5 stars for Joey. They are doing it ALL right here. I'll be back. read more

So glad JOEY Aventura lived up to my expectations. I've been to JOEY Dallas and the service, ambiance, and food here is exactly the same. I went for a late lunch with a friend and was seated right away. You are greeted at the door with welcome champagne which was a nice tough. I got the Mediterranean bowl and peach Bellinis which both were a 10/10. I'll be back for sure! Would love to try their HH and other entree options. read more

Wow, this place is underrated The service was great. the seating is a bit odd, they don't have regular dining seats for groups less than 4. Regardless the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the sushi cone appetizer, it was my favorite. Turnaround time is a bit an issue here, you will be waiting at least 30 minutes for apps and 60 minutes for entrees. The steak and sushi combo was THE BEST meal The apple tart cake was amazing! Sarah is the best waiter. read more

Loved my visit to JOEY Aventura! The hummus was sooo good, the tuna avocado roll was super fresh, and the steak bites were just yummy. The espresso martini was perfection, the margarita with egg whites wasn't really my fave, but the lychee martini was delish (wish it had an actual lychee in it though!). Service was great and everyone was super friendly. Also love that they have a late happy hour from 9pm to 12am, perfect spot for late bites and drinks. Definitely coming back! read more

Went catch up with a friend and also try a restaurant for Miami Spice before it ended. I made reservations and when arrived we were greeted with a glass of champagne before heading to our table. The restaurant was dimly lit which made for an intimate setting very cozy. Our server Dominick was amazing he checked on us regularly explained the menu items and was very engaging. I had an old fashioned which came smoked and my friend had the coconut smash. My drink was great. The other was not too my friends liking and Dominick was so great that he tried to make it better but it still was not to her liking. For appetizer I had the crab dip and she had the lettuce wraps. I can honestly the best lettuce wraps i have had. They are spicy so if you are not a fan I would not recommend. The crab dip was good but I would go back just for the wraps. For entré I had the steak and sushi. This was a really great dish the steak was cooked perfectly and the sushi was a great side even though i was full it was just the right amount. My friend had the crusted salmon. Which tasted great but I wasn't a fan of the crusted part. Finally we had the creme brulee cheesecake. I love anything creme brulee so this was good. Since you always save room for desserts. There is an upstairs with additional seating and another bar along with patio seating. They have priced bottles nightds and happy hours. You can sit me with Dominick any time I come back. read more

I'm a big fan of Joey--I've been to their LA, Downtown, and Manhattan Beach locations and always left impressed. Unfortunately, this location just didn't live up to the brand I know and love. The food looked the part but tasted like it was missing that spark, that extra something Joey usually nails. Service didn't help either--the host stand set the tone, and let's just say warmth and hospitality weren't on the menu. With so many great dining options in the area, I won't be rushing back here. Disappointing, especially since the other locations are some of my favorites. read more

Absolutely fantastic. We both had the classic steak dinner. Everything was cooked to our liking! Go there. They don't disappoint!

Service was amazing with friendly staff. . Lettuce wraps were one of the best I've had. Steak was good.

Came as a party of 11 to celebrate Fathers Day. It was a surprisingly great experience. We are pretty picky and didn't expect this restaurant to be that good. We ordered a lot of different dishes and all of them were good. It was pleasant to see them be good at both steak and sushi. Service was great and all the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The restaurant indoors is very beautiful with high ceilings and a lot of light. It was great to discover a good spot in the area and we're excited to come try their happy hour. read more

Listen... get the Spicy crab dip. It was so delicious. As soon as we walked in they gave us complementary champagne. The host, bartenders and servers were extremely friendly, welcoming... it was refreshing. Ask for Ashley she has great recommendations. Even Angelina the manager came around to chat for a bit, making sure everything was good. Customer service 10/10. Ambiance and food 10/10. My friend had the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps and it was amazing as well. Definitely recommend. The drinks tho... a bit too light handed on the alcohol but overall enjoyable. Definitely coming back for late happy hour 10pm- 1am. And that gave us a cute dessert because it was our first time coming. read more

We love it here! Food is always delicious and ambiance is great. Love the complimentary bubbly upon arrival.

Wow, is all I can say. From the moment you enter the room you're greeted not only with a friendly smile, but a beautifully designed restaurant from the kitchen, dinning area, & even the restrooms. The staff is all very polite, professional, provided excellent hospitality, and recommendations. I don't know where to even begin with the food, it's savory, delectable, and delicious. Every bite and every sip made me slow down and throughly enjoy, not only the flavor, but the dinning experience as a whole. If you're looking for your next date night, this is the place. 10/10 would and will be recommending. My taste buds hunger for more. read more

Might have one of the best late night happy hours in Aventura! Adult meal packs are an awesome deal! I got the burger and fries. The burger is LARGE but juicy and flavorful. The $9 old fashioned is a hit as well. It also doesn't hurt its aesthetically beautiful inside! Our server was the only one in the section so he was pretty busy but still did a decent job getting our requests. read more

This place is chic with exceptional service! Valet parking is available & they offer a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival. The manager checked in & was friendly. Their staff is attentive which allows for a smooth, fun experience. I arrived at 2 pm on a Saturday with an out of town friend. We sat in the beautiful bar area which has a unique chandelier. I had a Bloody Mary with extra olives ofc. We shared dumplings & wings for appetizers, both portions were generous. I was pleased when the bartender said they serve smash burgers aka my favorite. The burger was perfect--soft bun, seasoned patties, fresh pickles, and a scrumptious roasted onion aioli. Others who joined later tried the sushi cone & grilled chicken club. We had no room for dessert so I finished my meal with espresso. They're family friendly during the day but the manager did say the vibe is more outgoing at night so I'll definitely be back to check it out! I ordered the Adult Snack Pack #3, which came with a Joey cheeseburger and a glass of Doña Paula Malbec. I added lettuce and tomato and ordered a side of fries. The burger was really good and paired well with the wine, and the fries were solid. The ambiance was nice and the staff was friendly. I'm giving 4 stars because although the server was very nice, she repeatedly reached over my plate and her forearm touched my burger, which took away from the experience. Overall, still a good meal and a good time. read more

Restaurant has very nice aesthetics very modern and elegant. Very odd that they only have a restroom on the second floor. I would say the service is mediocre, and it was unfortunate that their payment systems were down so we had to wait a long time to be able to pay the bill. It felt like nobody in the restaurant had a sense of urgency as you would expect from a place that portrays they are fine dining. The food and wine were good. read more

First off, the service is fantastic. We were greeted right away with a glass of complementary champagne before heading to our seats! We started off with the ceviche which was delicious and super fresh. For entrees, we got the lobster spaghetti and the combo streak with seared salmon sushi. The lobster spaghetti fell a bit flat, it definitely could've been more flavorful. The combo on the other hand surprised us. The steak was cooked perfectly and in a light soy/citrus sauce that complemented it so well. Usually, im let down by restaurant steak but they did amazing with this. The seared salmon sushi was also good, just a bit too much sauce that made it too creamy which isn't my preference when it comes to sushi. Overall, the space is beautiful, service great, and the food was good. I'd come back to try other things on the menu!! read more

I came here for happy hour and I loved it! The service was good and the food even better. Get the spicy crab dip and Szechuan chicken wraps that are perfect for sharing. The spicy crab dip has a kick and it's creamy but not overly spicy for me. There is plenty crab meat as well which is how it should be :-). The lettuce wraps were refreshing and very filling. I think the price is right and the quality is good. I would love to come back and do a formal seating so I will do that soon. read more

Stopped by while in town and the hostess was very friendly to seat us where we can be served happy hour with the kids. I ordered their seared salmon sushi and tuna and avocado crunch roll, and both were delicious - melted in your mouth. My hubby ordered their Joey burger and it was good and my daughter enjoyed the Grilled chicken club. Their roasted corn guacamole was very fresh with goat cheese and their classic margarita was very similar to a Pisco Sour! Which if you've been to Peru, you know what that is. The ambience is nice, with dim lights, and music in the background. They have stairs to go up and an elevator. Highly recommend to eat here if you're in the area. read more

It has been a while since my last time at Joey, more than a while actually, it had been actually years. My last time was in 2022 at their Woodland Hills California location. This location has not been opened for too long, perhaps a year or so. Once I learnt they opened this location, I have been trying to come and see if it was as its sister location in California. I finally made it for lunch a couple weeks ago and my experience was good overall. I had the Mediterranean bowl, the katsu chicken salad and a spicy margarita. Let's start with my least favorite, the Mediterranean bowl. While it was good, not great but good, I think it was too pricey for what you get, specially the chicken portion. You would expect it would be a bit more generous for a $27 bowl. On the other hand, the chicken katsu salad was delicious. A salad without a good dressing is not a good salad, and this one had the perfect dressing. The chicken was nicely fried, so crispy and it didn't feel heavy or greasy at all. All in all, I would drive to Aventura just for this. I had their spicy margarita and it was refreshing and strong, so good. Looking forward to my return. read more

We went here for Father's Day dinner. We had a reservation and waited 10-15 minutes to be guided to our table. No big issue, they offer a complimentary champagne toast upon arrival which is nice. Our table was along the window in the main dining room. We had to wiggle into our chair to sit down and leave yet still managed to hit the people sitting behind us. The tables couldn't be moved. It was dark inside, which is prefect for an intimate date night feel. We had the Spicy Crab Dip, Sake Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Joey's New York Strip and Spicy Margarita. The bread for the Spicy Crab Dip was burnt and had a chemical taste. The dip was delicious. My seabass was accompanied with greens, mushrooms and veggies, which was perfect for anyone on a diet. The sea bass was perfectly seasoned and cooked well. The Joey's New York Strip was cooked well done and we requested it medium well. The steak was mediocre and under seasoned. Hey, this isn't a steak house so that is expected. Their mashed potatoes are stuffed in what appears to be some type of egg roll shell. I think that was a very unique touch. The spicy margarita was superb. It has some heat but was perfectly paired with the sweetness of the passion fruit. Second visit to Joey's was for Happy Hour. I sat at the bar. Complimentary champagne was offered again. I believe that's their signature greeting. I had the Lobster Spaghetti accompanied with their Spicy Margarita. I really enjoyed that cocktail during my prior visit and had to have it again. The drink is also on their happy hour list that is offered at a discount, which is great. Check the drink out. You won't be disappointed. The spaghetti was delicious. My only complaint was the lack of seafood. Particularly, very little lobster chucks was incorporated in the dish. They had more cut up pieces of shrimp and that too was skimp. For $40 some dollars for spaghetti, I expected better. The food was decent. However, I believe the food quality is lacking for the price point. Our diner tab came to around $200. Happy hour came to $50 some dollars. The main dining room space is really small. They need to figure out the situation with the lack of personal space for the tables aligned by the window in the main dining room. Also for the price point they should automatically provide cloth napkins. I was not feeling the paper napkins. During happy hour staff was all over the place on their laptops, conducting meetings, interviews and talking. Looks like they may have limited office space. The bartender at the bar was superb and super attentive. The server during our dinner had to flagged down several times to refill our drinks. Will definitely be back but will avoid certain dishes. Overall 6/10 read more

What a delightful birthday dinner for my dear friend thanks impart to our lovely server "Ray of Sunshine"! Ray, will definitely ensure your dining experience is a memorable one. Honestly, thus far this restaurant has yet to disappoint. Albeit a Mid-to Large dining space, the intimate and cozy feeling has been well preserved. The Szechuan chicken lettuce wrap appetizer has a spicy kick and the Steak and Crab~cake were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also Love, Love, Love the Valet service alleviating the hunt for parking. Joey Aventura is a must dine for all of your celebratory events or just because! read more

This spot definitely delivers on vibes. The ambiance is sleek, sophisticated, and perfect for a night out. Just a heads up, the lighting is very low. Like, "read-the-menu-with-your-phone-light" low. We started with the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps as an app, and they were so good we could've easily had them as a meal. The Tuna Poke and Yellowfin Tuna Salad were fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly, which was great considering the place wasn't even that busy. Service-wise, our waitress was sweet but definitely seemed new. A little scattered and unsure, but everything made it to the table without a hitch, so we rolled with it. We tried the matcha mojito mocktails. Way too citrus-forward for me, but my son loves anything lemon, so he drank it up with no complaints. All in all, solid food, beautiful setting, and just a few rough edges when it comes to service. I'd go back, maybe with a flashlight and lower citrus expectations. read more
