    Hawaiian Small 12" pizza

Grab a bite and people watch at this restaurant that has been here for a few years. Public parking garage is close by and after eating, take a stroll down (or up) the broadwalk. Service is friendly and the food is brought out in a timely manner.

This was a very nice visit. Great service. Right on the boardwalk. Food was prepared and tasted great. Coffee was hot. Everything very reasonably priced. Great way to start the day.

I had the Broadwalk fish fest and it was amazing! Considering it's on the beach, you expect to overpay for everything, so I was surprised to see all the seafood on that dish! It made it well worth the cost!

Great little spot for a quick and satisfying slice of pizza! The setting on Hollywood Beach is a nice touch, especially with the walk-up window--perfect for grabbing a slice while enjoying the beach vibe. Lately, I've been trying to navigate through several mom and pop pizzerias to find the best slice. They have a large restaurant with a walk-up pizza shop on the side and seating. All the traditional Italian dishes are offered: Eggplant, Veal Parmigiana, Meatballs Di Positano, Zuppa Di Clams and much more. But, I was here just for that one slice of pizza to hopefully blow my mind. The girl at the window appeared happy and took my order for a slice of well-done cheese pizza for $4.25. They do offer a digital ordering kiosk, but I went old school due to the quickly fading human interaction in our society. The slice was placed into the oven by the pizza chef and was ready within a few minutes. The slice stood the "Flop Test" and was perfectly charred on the bottom with a beautiful edge crust. The cheese was not too heavy and would have preferred more garlic in the sauce (7.8/10). I will continue my hunt for the perfect slice.

Something about the crust makes this the best pizza spot on Hollywood beach! Especially good service and views!

My family and I weren't sure where we wanted to eat on the broadwalk, and were lured here because it smelled so good when we walked by. The Broadwalk Restaurant is a little bit nicer than most of the other restaurants on the broadwalk, which are more beach-casual. As with most restaurants here, you can't beat that ocean view. I got the small Hawaiian pizza, which had 6 small slices and gave me both dinner and leftovers. It was fresh, thin crust, and reminded me of my favorite pizza place growing up. Highly recommended! We split the Reese's pie for dessert, which was also really good. I expected it to be cold because it was a mousse base, but it was room temperature, which was a little strange. The taste and presentation were both good, though. My only complaint is the service. All three of us were out of water for a good amount of time, and we watched our waitress go to other tables multiple times before coming to us.

I was in the mood for pizza so I decided to stop at The Broadwalk Restaurant. An American Italian cuisine in Hollywood beach. Good location for a stroll at night with lively music playing on weekends or a calm oceanfront dinner on the weekday. I went with a classic large pepperoni pizza with a side of calamari paired with a sweet Diet Coke. The pizza was on the greasy side not my favorite but the calamari made up for it. Calamari was decent, I would've preferred it to be more crispy. There is no refill on the sodas. Pizza 7/10 Calamari 8/10 There is outdoor & indoor seating. The bathroom is not the best, I wouldn't use it. Don't think I will be returning.

Update: I'm back!!! The service with our favorite waiter Louis was amazing. The food was on point and even tho the restaurant was extremely busy, we didn't have to wait long for our meal. Just a heads up the jumbo chicken wings was not a joke about being jumbo, make sure to bring a friend to share it with. This restaurant does not accept Apple Pay so make sure you bring your cash or card.

We've seen their sign for a couple of years now on Federal heading north between Hollywood and…read moreSheridan. The name never landed with us as it sounded like a standalone food court. It was the sign underneath that read, "Too tired to cook today?" that made us take notice. Looking at the online menu we found that it was not only a who's who of Latin dishes of different nationalities, but they also served bar fare - chicken wings, burgers, quesadillas, etc. Not knowing what their specialty was, we never committed to it. But today was one of those days where we felt like something different and we took a chance. The gamble paid off big. The menu was all over the place, so not knowing what direction to go in, I addressed the waiter who was all too ready to help. He pointed me to some of his faves: the Bandeja Paisa, Lomo Saltado, and Ropa Vieja. I'd had my eye on the Lomo Saltado, a popular Peruvian stir fry dish. The Bandeja Paisa is Colombian, and the Ropa Vieja - Cuban. I asked him what the nationality of the ownership was, when he revealed it was Colombian. I was immediately skeptical of ordering the ropa vieja - being half Cuban, I could not fathom the idea of a Colombian-owned restaurant pulling this off. So Joe took one for the team there. The waiter assured me that everything he has tried has in fact been delectable. But hey, what else is he supposed to say? But no, he assured me these were not marketing words, but words of experience. So I went for the Lomo Saltado which was served with black beans and rice, and french fries. He didn't hesitate to vouch for the black beans... I think he sensed my Colombian skepticism. Joe had replaced his fries for sweet plantains, so I took his cue and substituted my fries for tostones. But, not before warning the waiter that I would be particularly particular about the quality of my favorite plantain dish. He gave me a confident nod - so I played along. Joe's dish came out a few seconds before mine, and being the impatient carnivore that I am, I (let's say borrowed) his ropa vieja before he had a chance to pick up his fork. I was very pleasantly surprised. On par with any old clothes I have tried at any Cuban restaurant... and even better than some, albeit in longer strands than I've experienced. However, extremely juicy, full of flavor and tender. Then came my Lomo. I'm a first-timer, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was fan-tastic. A bit charred outside with a juicy medium innard that cuts like butter, and to my relief, deceivingly tender. The lomo napped on a bed of sautée-charred veggies whose sweetness was a nicely balanced contrast to the savory meat. The black beans were definitely on point and seasoned with Colombian love. And those ten-ton-tostones!!! By far the thickest fried medallions I've had, but with a brutally loud crunch and still a real easy chew. And unlike John Travolta in a black T-Bird jacket, totally Greaseless. Often times, tostones of this variety are tough and as chewable as week-old yellow paper mache. Nope, these are some of the best tostones I've had in a couple of years. But by far the best of their kind. I also borrowed one of Joe's sweet plantations which once again left no trace of greased lightning and were rendered a perfect dark brown with a nice and plush sunshine yellow inside. The portions were more than generous and the price was comfortably modest. I expressed my deepest gratitude to our waiter for his patience and his spot on recommendations. He also swore by their burger which he had just sampled for the first time and which is made partly with Colombian chorizo and served with a side of chimichurri. Chorizo and chimichurri for little cha-ching.... I'm sure I'll be chowing on that real soon. Food Corner is a cornucopia of Latin influences, and so far, it's also a master of two of them. (We were too excited to take photos)

Meanwhile, there was another couple of tables already cleaned and ready. We were flabbergasted; here we are with a baby in a high chair and we put our names down and we were being told to leave the table. The waitresses were confused by each other and started to bicker. It was a little awkward and no one knew what the other was doing. Finally, minutes later, we sat down and our order was taken by a lovely waitress. Unfortunately, the food arrived and we were not fully satisfied. The pancakes tasted dry and not the freshest. The million dollar bacon seemed to be more like a $5 bacon, in that it was almost on the cold side. Don't know what happened this time, but we were not happy with our visit.
