The burger and the Mediterranean salad

Great eatery tuck away on the second floor of Bloomingdale's inside Aventura mall. Clean & cheerful place with tables along windows and a bar eating area, good staff and good menu choices, with brunch menu on weekends. Over a week period I had the Mediterranean salad with grilled salmon, delicious, then another time the burger with grilled onions, mushrooms and roasted bell peppers succulent served with strings French fried potatoes, very copious, all priced reasonably, the service was great and the food served in a reasonably short time. I recommend this place.

This turned out to be a lovely surprise. It's a hidden away cafe in the corner of the second floor of Bloomingdales that is well worth searching out if you are at Aventura Mall. I was meeting a friend at the mall while tagging along with my husband who had a work appointment there. We usually go to the same place every time (the Cheese Course) as it's fast and convenient, but still better than the food court. And we've enjoyed the Bistro in Nordstrom's since being introduced to it via a Yelp event in Boca. But I was looking for a new place to try. According to my friend who lives near the mall, there's a new Peruvian place that opened there, but she's not big on ceviche and a new pizza place, but the service is very slow there. So on to my trusty yelp app to dig up an option. I didn't have high expectations based on some of the previous reviews, but boy was everything so good that this is now going to be my go to place in Aventura Mall. From the moment we entered (just my husband and I), we were warmly greeted. The place is all done in black and white. We were seated at a window table with a bit of sun, even though one of our party wasn't there. As it was cool out, the sun felt good. We explained to the friendly server that we were waiting for one more to join us. No problem. Would we like drinks while we waited? She came back to check on us often. My husband needed to go to work, so he ordered his meal and said I would wait for my friend. No problem. His lunch came just as she arrived. He'd ordered a trio salad which was huge. 3 scoops of tuna, chicken, and egg salad on top of greens plus a lovely basket of rolls and delicious lahvash crackers. Based on what we saw of the size of the portions being served around us, my friend and I decided to split a chicken Cobb salad from the daily specials menu. However, I didn't want onions and she didn't want bacon. No problem. They delivered the salad with a small ramekin of onions and one of chopped bacon as well as two of the balsamic dressing -- all on the side as requested. The salad was wonderful -- chicken perfectly grilled and sliced and just perfect to share. When you get great service with such a pleasing attitude, it just adds to the dining experience. We sat chatting and I told our server, as it was getting busier by then, if you need the table, just let us know. Her answer? No problem, enjoy your visit. And we did! And we tipped accordingly!

One of the best places to dine in the Aventura area! I had lunch here with my wife and one of her girlfriends during a working expedition for me and a shopping excursion for the ladies. I also was invited to lunch by one of my peers as a going away luncheon during my last week of employment. My choice as we were both at Aventura mall and he let me choose. When I selected 5th and Lex inside Nordstroms he smiled and said excellent choice. It was a bitter sweet lunch as we discussed our business interactions over the last 12 years, but a great lunch none the less! A varied menu offering many salads incorporating local produce and some exotic twists. Varied protein items to add to your salads or you can go full out Vegan and enjoy your favorites meatless dishes. During both my lunches here I tried 2 different types of their signatures salads and was very happy. Sandwiches of all varieties and local ethnic sandwiches, hot entrees and beverages plus your favorite wines. Service is top notch and friendly in a relaxed atmosphere. Prices are quite reasonable if you are paying or being treated!

Lunch with 6 lunch buddies at this Blommie's Cafe. We all ordered a variety of meals. The service is always great. They have really good yogurt soft serve ice cream. Some meals come with it. I ordered a soft omelet that came with a salad. It was a little over cooked even though I asked for it to be soft. I think it was a bit pricey too! $15. For an omelet? Oh well, Bloomingdales is pricey in general. Most of the girls enjoyed their meals. We always enjoy our lunches together.

Located inside the Bloomingdales this place used to be so good and I would come for lunch here at least once a month. Well it seems that the food just went down the hill or perhaps just our luck and the 3 dishes that we ordered weren't good. Grilled Salmon seemed like it was frozen for a million years, defrosted and then grilled with no seasoning and served so dry that even squeezed lemon didn't help. Key West chopped salad doesn't deserve such a beautiful name since it was so plain and unappetizing that no dressing could save it. Vegetarian stir fry was just ok, the noodles were slightly overcooked, the veggies too saggy. Should have gone to Cheesecake Factory or Bella Luna. Oh well no next time here.

    Great lighting.

Good option for those who don't like the food court. Personally, I hate eating at the food court. This little cafe is endearing. The lighting is beautiful during lunch time. There are windows all around, letting in the light. The service was really good, our waitress was very attentive. We always had water in our glasses and our drinks were refilled without needing to ask. I had the grilled chicken wrap which was pretty tasty. Sweet potato fries were really good.

Check your to go orders before leaving. Very disappointing to find raw salmon instead of grilled when we got home.

The food is delicious. But the service is the best part. All associates are always attentive and they simply know their customers.

Our hostess was very sweet, though once our food arrived, we didn't receive much additional service. What We Ordered: Avocado Toast: Gorgeous presentation, but there was a bit too much onion for my taste -- that was all I could really taste. Eggs Your Way with a Side Pancake: The scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious! The potatoes were okay -- a little over-seasoned and I wish they had been served hotter. The bacon was perfectly cooked, and the two slices of toast came with a beautiful assortment of butter and jams. Pancake: Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness -- I loved the subtle hint of cinnamon. Didn't even need much syrup! Drinks: We had regular coffee and an iced caramel latte. The coffee was average (my abuela enjoyed hers), but the iced coffee wasn't my favorite. Overall, this was a beautiful spot for breakfast with great atmosphere and some stand-out items -- especially the eggs and pancake.

Unlike most of our outings, my husband and I were actually pretty full from lunch, but we still ate every single thing at this meal. Having something that tastes amazing even after a full really speaks to how great the quality of the food is. Overall I highly recommend this place, between the views, service, and food, you can't go wrong. I will definitely be coming back for my next visit to miami.

Very upscale, classy and romantic. We were seated in a very comfortable plush booth and were greeted by our server, Amalya, who was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. We planned to share a few appetizers and a meal. We ordered the Japanese Gyoza tray, which was delicious and satisfying. For our main dish, we ordered the Lobster Spaghetti and soon as we took a bite, we both said "Mmmmm!". It was very good with perfect seasoning and nice sized lobster pieces. Good pick. We added the HH Truffle fries as a side and they were extra special. We had a very nice birthday meal. Parking is close by in a huge parking lot. It is ADA compliant as is Joey. We will definitely return again.

I had a fasting doctor's appointment this morning and wanted to pick-up something tasty. I ordered for pick-up. I will never do that again. My order was a lamb burger (with fries), falafel (sitting in hummus and with toast), soup and chicken wings. I was so hungry, I tore open the falafel. This dish was so salty, I threw it away. I tried a wing. Nothing stood out. It had no particular flavor and quite frankly, it was under-done for my tastes. The burger did not travel well at all. The bun was a mushy mess and the patty sat on top of a watery mayo of some kind. There were a few slivers of pickled onion, a thin slice of tomato and a few strips of lettuce -- hard to distinguish any of these toppings because it was all a bit of a messy mush. There was no nice lettuce and tomato at Lettuce & Tomato! The patty was the only standout of this order, but the fries that truly tasted day old, were such a disappointment, I couldn't get over it and just put the patty in the refrigerator. Even the ketchup was strange. I don't plan to return.
