Really great experience! From the moment we walked in everybody was so friendly greeted us nicely. They seated us very quickly. Love the 50's style atmosphere with all the cool memorabilia on the walls and artwork. The server took our order and she was very accommodating to my allergies. She really went out of her way to make sure that they made a dairy free for me. We ordered coffee and actually the coffee is so delicious there was so fresh. I ordered the make your own omelette dish. You can add four ingredients to your omelette. I chose peppers, mushrooms. Onions and turkey sausage with fresh cracked eggs instead of egg beaters and it came out perfect, had an option of hashbrowns or tater tots. I got tomatoes to make it healthy no dairy. Also dry toast came out perfect. Husband got dinner menu instead. We got the meatloaf. He enjoyed it. He said it was slightly bland, but he still enjoyed it a lot. Just add your own pepper salt no problem. Family member got the hungry man. He said it was really good. He would definitely eat there again. Bacon came out crispy. I went on a whim while exploring Hollywood and was not disappointed! I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and got seated right away which was nice. Server was quick to take our order, though the food took a little longer than expected. I got a grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and a vanilla milkshake and that combo really hit the spot! The only thing I dislike about working late nights is that most restaurants are closed by the time I clock out and am undecided on what I want to eat. I did recall a Moonlite Diner location in Hollywood so I decided to stop by and get some food to go. There were a few people dining inside when I arrived. I greeted two female employees and asked for the menu. After contemplating for a few minutes, I finally chose the meatloaf deluxe sandwich which was served with one side (fries). Here's what I thought about the food: The sandwich in itself wasn't much to get excited over, though the slices of meatloaf was topped with grilled onions and cheese, it lacked seasoning and the fries was a bit hard. I managed to only eat half of it. I'm not sure when I would visit this diner again. Though it was a different location, it was my second visit and the food I tried on both occasions did not wow my taste buds. read more

I don't often go to diners, but they're my husband's favorite type of restaurant, so we decided to try Moonlite in Oakwood Plaza, just west of the Home Depot. I'm so glad we did--it was perfect. I ordered the meatloaf after reading the great Yelp reviews, and my husband went with the salmon sandwich. I also upgraded my meal with a sundae, onion soup, and a glass of wine for just under $4. I didn't end up drinking the wine, so I can't comment on that, but the meatloaf was delicious--definitely reminded me of the kind my mom used to make. It comes with two sides, both of which were tasty, and the onion soup was great too. My husband said his salmon sandwich was five stars, and his side of sweet potato fries was equally delicious. The sundae was fantastic, though it could have used a bit more hot fudge. Still, it was a generous portion and perfect for sharing. The diner has a fun 50s vibe with an updated look, and there's plenty of parking out front. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Just had brunch there on Saturday and it was absolutely amazing. When all of the food came out we thought we weren't going to finish it but it was so good we had the bare minimum left to take home. It's just this particular server that I'm not a big fan of. She over looks our table and forgets our requests. This is not the first time we've had her either. This location does offer both indoor & outdoor eating. Service so far has been great. Starting off with the croissant French toast, it's one of their specialties. I usually order the breakfast this time I got an omelette with hash browns. But my go to is usually the egg and Crossiant sandwich. The omelette was very good and very cheesy. The service is also pretty quick even during their busy times. I also enjoy there sundaes when I go there I usually get the Oreo on and it's so fudgy the bottom is a layer of fudge with Oreos in between the layers I highly recommend it!! read more

It was not clean. The food was good. We had a table for six and ordered burgers, shakes, patty melt, chicken fried steak, a kids meal, etc. The food was hot and prepared as we asked, although the service was lackluster. Four servers stood in a cluster at the front chatting, with another server who had gone off shift sitting at the counter, eating and socializing. The restaurant was not busy when we got there, and I remember thinking that it was a tad overstaffed. We had to hunt down our server for refills, to order two more items, to ask for to go boxes in the check. Still, this would not keep us from coming again. However, the state of the floors would. We were not at a booth where I might be able to understand because it's hard to get around under the table. We were at banquette seating on one side and plain ol' chairs on the other with very movable tables. And underneath the tables it was obvious that this floor had not been cleaned in sometime. Not just dirt. Crud. Straw wrappers, bits of food, even loose change. The floor was just filthy. Once I saw that, I just stopped eating. A busy restaurant is a good thing, but a busy restaurant that no one takes time to clean is just, well, gross. It's been a VERY long time since I've been to a diner.. a coworker and I were really excited that we saw this place on our way to the hotel so we decided to stop by for lunch. Right away we're greeted by our server and we decided to sit outside. The patio is netted and has a pretty view of the pond and all the ducks swimming around and chilling by the water. The menu has EVERYTHING you can think of when it comes to diner vibes and I was starving... I ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and a Tomato Basil Soup. I can't scream this enough.. THE FOOD WAS BOMB!!! The fries were perfectly crisp like every single fkn fry was perfect. The burger was so good and flavorful I wanted to order another one although it would've been physically impossible because of how full I was from the first one.
