Little gem just off i95 with the cutest little covered patio by a pond. The resident cats are sweet & friendly. Right up there with the waitress staff! For the quality, portions, and cost - you sincerely cannot get a better deal. Look at the food!!! It was tasty and came out surprisingly quick. Big emphasis on our waitress TINA Such a sweetheart and has the check -in timing down to a science. read more

Really great experience! From the moment we walked in everybody was so friendly greeted us nicely. They seated us very quickly. Love the 50's style atmosphere with all the cool memorabilia on the walls and artwork. The server took our order and she was very accommodating to my allergies. She really went out of her way to make sure that they made a dairy free for me. We ordered coffee and actually the coffee is so delicious there was so fresh. I ordered the make your own omelette dish. You can add four ingredients to your omelette. I chose peppers, mushrooms. Onions and turkey sausage with fresh cracked eggs instead of egg beaters and it came out perfect, had an option of hashbrowns or tater tots. I got tomatoes to make it healthy no dairy. Also dry toast came out perfect. Husband got dinner menu instead. We got the meatloaf. He enjoyed it. He said it was slightly bland, but he still enjoyed it a lot. Just add your own pepper salt no problem. Family member got the hungry man. He said it was really good. He would definitely eat there again. Bacon came out crispy. And our server came around with refills without asking that was really nice, and it was a great experience. We'll definitely be back again. read more

How have I NEVER EVER reviewed Moonlite? This has been our family go to diner for a solid 15 years! From milkshakes to patty melts to a full sit down meal of meatloaf w/mash! And a nice ALL DAY breakfast option Moonlite stands solid behind the American diner standards. Everyone is always welcoming & make you feel like you are right at home! Even their snarky sarcastic humor is what makes this place feel like you are at home! Food has always been consistently fresh & made to order so you cannot go wrong! read more

Zero service. I entered the diner and waited for 5 minutes and no one came to greeting or see me. Place was empty.

If you're looking for a legit 1950s time capsule, Moonlite Diner is the spot! From the moment you see the classic "tin can" exterior, you know the atmosphere is going to be on point. It has all the vintage vibes. chrome, neon, and that authentic retro decor that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The menu is packed with good old-fashioned American comfort food. Everything we've tried has been solid, but the best part is that the prices are still great. The waiters are always so welcoming. So if you are ever in the area make sure to pass by. read more

I love the Moonlite Diner. Breakfast is really excellent; the food, the service, the ambience. Everything.

Had no idea entrees could be ordered with: soup or salad, plus wine, plus dessert for only $3.99 more! What a deal! And house wines are often dry and bitter, but I enjoyed this cabernet. (In Florida, drinking alcohol before noon is the norm.) We live here to feel relaxed. The waitresses know me, but I see how friendly they are to all the clients. Delicious comfort food, kind staff, epic deals, and a relaxed atmosphere make the Moonlight Diner a community jewel for over 25 years. We luv you. read more

I went on a whim while exploring Hollywood and was not disappointed! I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and got seated right away which was nice. Server was quick to take our order, though the food took a little longer than expected. I got a grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and a vanilla milkshake and that combo really hit the spot! The decor was fun too and they have outdoor seating as an option as well. read more

Old diner/joint. Good food and portions. And cheap. I was also surprised how big their menu is.

Moonlight Diner has something for everyone! Generously portioned and served with a smile, it's like stepping back in time to a friendlier time. Whatever you are craving...it's probably on the menu. read more

The only thing I dislike about working late nights is that most restaurants are closed by the time I clock out and am undecided on what I want to eat. I did recall a Moonlite Diner location in Hollywood so I decided to stop by and get some food to go. There were a few people dining inside when I arrived. I greeted two female employees and asked for the menu. After contemplating for a few minutes, I finally chose the meatloaf deluxe sandwich which was served with one side (fries). Here's what I thought about the food: The sandwich in itself wasn't much to get excited over, though the slices of meatloaf was topped with grilled onions and cheese, it lacked seasoning and the fries was a bit hard. I managed to only eat half of it. I'm not sure when I would visit this diner again. Though it was a different location, it was my second visit and the food I tried on both occasions did not wow my taste buds. read more

I don't often go to diners, but they're my husband's favorite type of restaurant, so we decided to try Moonlite in Oakwood Plaza, just west of the Home Depot. I'm so glad we did--it was perfect. I ordered the meatloaf after reading the great Yelp reviews, and my husband went with the salmon sandwich. I also upgraded my meal with a sundae, onion soup, and a glass of wine for just under $4. I didn't end up drinking the wine, so I can't comment on that, but the meatloaf was delicious--definitely reminded me of the kind my mom used to make. It comes with two sides, both of which were tasty, and the onion soup was great too. My husband said his salmon sandwich was five stars, and his side of sweet potato fries was equally delicious. The sundae was fantastic, though it could have used a bit more hot fudge. Still, it was a generous portion and perfect for sharing. The diner has a fun 50s vibe with an updated look, and there's plenty of parking out front. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

It was late and I searched Yelp to see what was open. This place came up and we checked out the website that mentioned that the Hollywood location was open until 12am. When we got there and walked in, the host says they were closed. It was 10pm I wasn't able to try it. read more

It's a Nice retro atmosphere, has friendly staff, gives large portions and the food is good!

Solid outpost of this small chain of 1950s style diners. Service and food are both good. 5 star ambience: it's set up with a steel and chrome plastic 1950s diner theme. Even though modern, the Flo the Waitress vibe works. 4 star food: all the food is good solid diner fare. 4 star service: service is close approximation of slightly sassy Flo the Waitress. read more

Great little greasy spoon! Amazing flavor good pricing very great portions it is so amazing would definitely come back

This was a cute little spot to grab brunch before heading to Fort Lauderdale airport to catch our flight back home. We were seated right away and our food came out quickly. The best part about Moonlite Diner is the incredibly cheap prices. For the amount of food we got (couldn't even finish it) was each less than $15. Not only that but it's a little hard to find these type of Diner places now a days so the vibes, food, service, everything was on point! We both opted for Eggs Benedict but got different kinds. It's hard to mess it up but this hit the spot. Overall I was satisfied with my meal and will 100% recommend this place if you want a quick, filling, and affordable meal. read more

Just had brunch there on Saturday and it was absolutely amazing. When all of the food came out we thought we weren't going to finish it but it was so good we had the bare minimum left to take home. It's just this particular server that I'm not a big fan of. She over looks our table and forgets our requests. This is not the first time we've had her either. Next time I'm going to request to sit in another section if I see we'll be seated in that area. But over all I love going there to have brunch. read more

Food was good and fresh. My server was very good and attentive. Also, enjoyed the diner atmosphere.

The best part was the milkshake. I wish I had stuck with something more standard, but I had a craving for wings. They just didn't hit the spot. The loaded tots were tasty and my husband enjoyed his country fried steak. The service was super accommodating. A gentleman at the front even held the door for me and my baby and offered to help us to the car because it was pouring rain. For the service, 4 stars, but I have to explore different menu items. read more

Who doesn't enjoy a good diner? Taking it back to this classic spot with two locations in south Florida. We got The Moonlite Diner serving good American breakfast & burgers. This spot is such a good spot if you are looking for something more cozy with that 90s vibes. I visited the Hollywood location twice & so far I've only had the breakfast. This location does offer both indoor & outdoor eating. Service so far has been great. Starting off with the croissant French toast, it's one of their specialties. If you have a sweet tooth like me, it will not disappoint. Enjoyed with a side of sunny side eggs & turkey sausage. Super glad they had turkey as an option. Second time I ordered an omelette with the option of building it your own. Tomatoes, mushroom & Swiss were my three toppings. With a side of hash brown & biscuit. Obviously you can never go wrong with an omelette, the portion was pretty big & fulfilling. Do plan on returning to try the lunch menu read more

I've been coming to Moonlite since I moved here to Florida and always enjoy it. It is a classic diner with yummy breakfast options and comfy American classics. I usually order the breakfast this time I got an omelette with hash browns. But my go to is usually the egg and Crossiant sandwich. The omelette was very good and very cheesy. The service is also pretty quick even during their busy times. I also enjoy there sundaes when I go there I usually get the Oreo on and it's so fudgy the bottom is a layer of fudge with Oreos in between the layers I highly recommend it!! read more

Excellent service and food. Needed a quick bite after a late flight in. Decked out like a 50's diner the decor is nostalgic and hip at the same time. We will be back. read more

The average rating of 3.8 is about right, mid to high threes. I ordered corned beef hash which comes over hash browns. This item was about a three minus . The service was a 4+ , very attentive, checking on coffee, don't bring the check until you ask, so they don't rush you. Gleaming stainless steam diner car chic with lots of interesting old memorabilia displayed throughout AKA typical new diner trying to recreate older looking diners. Check. read more

Absolutely fantastic. All the way around. Great vibe, great service, great food. We just moved to the area and are exploring different local restaurants...we found this one while going to Home Goods. It was not clean. The food was good. We had a table for six and ordered burgers, shakes, patty melt, chicken fried steak, a kids meal, etc. The food was hot and prepared as we asked, although the service was lackluster. Four servers stood in a cluster at the front chatting, with another server who had gone off shift sitting at the counter, eating and socializing. The restaurant was not busy when we got there, and I remember thinking that it was a tad overstaffed. We had to hunt down our server for refills, to order two more items, to ask for to go boxes in the check. Still, this would not keep us from coming again. However, the state of the floors would. We were not at a booth where I might be able to understand because it's hard to get around under the table. We were at banquette seating on one side and plain ol' chairs on the other with very movable tables. And underneath the tables it was obvious that this floor had not been cleaned in sometime. Not just dirt. Crud. Straw wrappers, bits of food, even loose change. The floor was just filthy. Once I saw that, I just stopped eating. A busy restaurant is a good thing, but a busy restaurant that no one takes time to clean is just, well, gross. To be fair, this was the first experience in all the times we've been coming to this diner that we've had this experience. We had not been in several years. Perhaps it has changed management. read more
