A tiny space carved out behind an indoor golf simulator? Huh. OK. Inside, it's possibly half the size of the original A.W. Wander (which I dubbed a beer closet), so please don't bring your volleyball team, or your book club, or whatever. Yes, the whiskey list does seem to be exhaustive. My friend picked a scotch. I selected a pils from Lower Lake (huge shoutout to this brewery -go there! Buy their beer!) and my other friend grabbed an IPA. We sat at one of two tables outside, and there appears to be more seating wrapped around the side (at least, I assume that's where the cute young couple migrated two with their espresso martinis after enduring our old guy banter for only so long). Didn't explore the food menu, but it seems satisfying, and the servers shuttle back and forth from the bar to the enclosed food trailer that serves as the kitchen. Great, welcoming staff, a very enjoyable live music set going on. All around, a chill spot and welcome change of pace.

We sat at one of the tables near the electric fireplace. There's a decent amount seating, including tables, comfortable chairs and sofas. I opted for the classic Lemon Drop while my fiance ordered the mulled wine. Both drinks were perfect! We enjoyed them and chatted with the staff before we left. You can tell the staff prides themselves on offering the best service possible and they go out of their way to ensure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area!

Main Street was my Grandfathers home- Seitz family - this is now part of the Catholic Church) before my Grandfather became a Marine and ended up in Quantico , VA. Lock 1 was a perfect location to pop on in, right by the bridge, to grab a drink and snacks. The appetizers were delicious - we ordered the pretzel, loaded salt potatoes, and tacos. All were impressively good and so filling! We had a great server, very attentive, young guy, sadly I can't recall his name but he was wonderful! We also bought two bottles of Ryze Vodka to bring back home in memory of the location (Phoenix) that started a love affair of two young adults and ultimately created a storybook of family memories from New York to Virginia! Thanks, Lock 1, for being part of my adventure! I hope to return soon.

Friday is the burger special, it has beef and brisket and is juicy and delicious. The bun is always nicely toasted and it comes with cheese, lettuce, onion and tomatoes and fries. The fries are hot and crispy but there was a bit too much salt ( for me), so next time I'll remember to ask for no salt. My friend had no problem with the salt. My friend ordered the soup of the day which was Corn Chowder with Shrimp. It sounded good but I know if I have soup, I can't finish lunch. As soon as they brought out the soup and I had just a spoonful..... I had to get a bowl. Plenty of shrimp and corn , lots of flavor and it was smooth and light and delicious. I am not a fan of chowders that are thick as "pudding". We didn't have any drinks this time, but they have an amazing list of ciders, ales, beers on tap. Their own distilled spirits are excellent as well. Service is always good!

This small cheese board was $25, it doesn't look as small in the pictures, but I promise the board was TINY. A quarter of a baguette, prepackaged olives, a few bites of cheese each?
