The eggs are pre-prepared...don't have eggs on the menu if they are pre-cooked. Making fresh eggs is not that difficult.

We had ended our day on the slopes and wanted a fat, juicy burger, and this place hit the spot! The staff were really nice, funny, and attentive. We ate rather quickly when the food got delivered, so that tells you how hungry we were. I was able to swap out the fries for salad and it was the perfect substitution for me. No additional charge either! Would recommend on coming here for a nice meal. The interior has a tavern feel to it and lots of window seating, so it was nice to look outside while we waited for our food.

Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. We ordered a bison burger with fries, pulled pork poutine, and blue corn nachos. The fries were limp and cold. The nachos arrived with regular corn chips instead of blue corn and were also cold. The pulled pork poutine was cold as well, and the burger was overly salty. What made the experience worse was the lack of service. We waited about 30 minutes without being checked on while the manager appeared to visit other tables. After flagging down a server, it took additional time before we were assisted. I understand that restaurants can have off nights, but this visit fell well below expectations -- especially given the price point and past experiences. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the location and atmosphere have always been a draw.

We met our guide Pam in the village at Solitude where she welcomed us and outfitted us with snowshoes and headlamps for the slightly moderate hike up the mountain to the Yurt. It was so refreshing to hike through the trees and the snow to our dining adventure. Once inside the Yurt chef Andy introduced himself and welcomed us with a glass of bubbles and explained our dining experience for this evening and the menu that he had planned. He was conscious to ask about any dietary restrictions or allergies. The majority of the menu is locally sourced and includes lots of farm to table elements. We started with a plate of fresh breads and cheeses from Beehive Creamery. Next we were served a fresh mixed green salad with a vinaigrette dressing. Then the soup was a potato leek soup with bacon which was so warm and comforting. The main course was a NY Strip Steak in a special cut served atop pureed cauliflower and asparagus. The flavor was amazing. To wrap up our meal we enjoyed some salted caramel ice cream. The only thing that was lacking is the beverage menu. Only water is offered as a beverage. There is a wine and beer list available with options by the glass or the bottle and all at moderate prices which is expected at a resort. They do permit you to bring your own bottle with a modest $35 corkage fee. With this experience being so magical and modestly priced it would be nice to have a few other beverage options "included" in the cost of the dinner. This is an entire dining experience with the snowshoe hike up the mountain, a chef curated meal inside the Yurt and the opportunity for communal dinning with some new folks. The prices for this meal are really the price for the experience. We were celebrating my birthday and what an amazing way to celebrate.

First of all each of our selections cost $19 which was around what we expected for a restaurant in the area. We started out with the mussels and fries. They were very good. The fries remained crispy even in the broth from the mussels. The garlic aioli was tasty. The rest of the meal was poor. My spouse had the fish tacos. They were served on a plain, cold corn tortillas that could have come straight from the supermarket. The batter for the fish was flavorless. The crema also was flavorless. It was served with plain white rice with no spice or herbs added. My wife wasn't even tempted to try the black beans. I had a cob salad with no bacon. The flavor was fine, nothing to write home about, but I kept having to pull brown chunks of lettuce out of the salad. The waitress offered to bring me another salad, but I didn't want anything else from there. I left much of the salad uneaten. Even without the brown lettuce, the salad alone was not a nineteen dollar salad. It is unlikely that we will return. The mussels were nice, but the rest really ruined it for us.

They were not; they were actually 50% or more higher at the restaurant. The hamburger that was showing on Yelp for $15 was actually $22. The Steak Frites advertised for $22 were $35. I understand inflation, but this was a gross enough difference that it borders on deception, in my opinion. I also had a bad experience with my food: I ordered a cup of their chili (which they claim is made from scratch, on-site) and it was brought to the table cold. Like, "right out of a can" cold. Kelsi, our fantastic server, returned it to the kitchen where (I presume) they nuked it and brought it back. It was heated, but not very tasty. Flat; under-seasoned; mushy textured. Definitely something I'd never order again. Many reviews say the atmosphere is "loud" but what they mean is, it's "LOUD". We were seated inside, and it was nearly impossible for the three of us to converse. The acoustics are not great. Enough cons; how about some pros? My burger was FANTASTIC! piled high with caramelized onions and pastrami, but beef patty tasted like it'd just come off a charcoal grill. Terrific flavor in every bite. (The parmesan fries were tasty, too, but a little on the soggy side.) My dining partners each had a salad (one 'wedge' and one 'beetroot') and both were well-prepared and generously portioned. And, finally, the staff, the location, the vibe: All really first-rate. I'll probably come back, if I ever recover from the bait'n'switch sticker shock. (But I'll steer clear of the chili and opt to dine on the patio, if that's available!)

She never said her name or what her position was at the restaurant. It was over 100 degrees on this day. I was carrying coconut water to stay hydrated. When I sat down she approached me & said it was illegal to bring outside drinks into a restaurant. Illegal? What a liar? What was her purpose? To try and scare me? Am I going to be arrested? There is no law in Utah or any federal law in the USA that states it's illegal to bring an outside drink into a restaurant. All she had to do is say "I apologize but we prefer no outside drinks in this restaurant, may you please place it under the table" and everything would've been fine. Nope she wanted to try an intimidate me. Maybe she's prejudice towards Latinos. It is Utah but who knows? The food was great, the Latina waitress was nice too. When I got the check, I used my business card to pay, I just paid off the balance on the card on Friday but it was Saturday & the payment didn't clear yet. Not knowing this the card declined. No big deal... But instead of my waitress coming to my table to inform me my card declined, it was Pipi Longstocking (White woman, curly red hair) again... Letting everyone sitting around us know my card declined. I used my Business Amex Platinum this time and that was that. I really enjoyed my dinner with my wife. The food was so unique & delicious but that particular woman made me not want to return back. Please be a better person & treat your customers with equality & kindness. Thank you.
