I recently lost a 20 year plus Bradford Pear in my front yard. Not knowing what to do I by chance stumbled upon Moon Valley. Front start to finish everyone that has worked with me to get this situation figured out has been absolutely spot on. Philip helped me find just an absolutely amazing Red Oak to replace the lost tree. Super knowledgeable and really helped me find a good one. I had my eyes on one in particular when he suggested taking a look at one he had his eyes on. Way nicer tree, way nicer. Got me all set up with a installation date and within no time that date rolled around. I had a tree removal service remove the dead tree and grind the stump but what we didn't realize at the time was that the tree service only ground down 6-8" below the top soil. My yard isn't very big and after the city marked utilities moving it to another location was just not an option. So I thought great what now? The original install crew leader said let me make a call. Got in touch with Justin Degas. This guy didn't think twice came out the very next day with an excavator got that entire stump pulled out of the ground and my Shumard Oak in the ground within 3 hours! Absolutely top knotch! Philip was nothing but great, Kayla in the office kept me up to date with when they were coming out and if there was any questions I had about everything. And Justin just wasn't taking no for an answer as far as that stump was concerned, very impressed. Great team, great experience absolutely satisfied and absolutely will be buying from them again. I use to love this place. Got 5 tree from them in the past two years and yes they are not cheap but the trees were unbeatable. So fast forward to this April when I decided to replace three trees that didn't survive the great freeze. Went in and as always, the folks were really helpful and decided to go with two Italian Cypress and a native tree. They had the native tree but all of the gigantic Cypress were tagged with other buyer names. Since they were so busy, my installation was 2 months away. Thinking sure they'll get more so I went ahead anyways. The sales person assured me that he would tag the next shipment that came in. Week after week, I called and ask if the trees were tagged. Every week he pending shipment. Upset I walked in after four weeks and there he was my salesperson. He said they were back ordered on them but wait, there will be one next week with huge Italian Cypress. I called next week left a message - no call back. I did again the week after - no call back. Finally I contacted and insisted that they fix this. They got a manager who texted me the cypress. Texted me the picture and said this one - sure please tag it I replied. Fast forward to the delivery date. I was completely shocked that instead of the 8-9 ft ones that I saw and was in the picture he texted me, they brought two pencil thin ones. I texted back to the person and said what is going on? He said well I told my manager to tag it. Huh? You were already there why didn't you. No response. So I refused the shipment. Went into the place and found that all of the Cypress in that range was pencil thin and 6 ft (max). They gave me some excuse about well in that price range we sell 6 year old ones. I let them know that is fantastic that you know the age of them but as a customer I don't and only care about the size. They refunded me the two trees. 1) The sales folks there once they make the sale DO NOT FOLLOW-UP 2) Messages - right, they take your message and promptly put it in the circular cabinet. Never gets returned period. 3) Doesn't matter how many tree you bought from them in the past. Your loyalty as a customer means nothing anymore. It's very disappointing how a pandemic induced buying frenzy has turned this place into a big sales team with no follow through. read more

We worked with Nate Brown to replace a significant amount of our front yard landscaping that was killed in the freeze in 2021. He came out for the initial consultation, took photos and then prepared an estimate for the entire job. I met with him 3 days later at his office to review the plan and the visual images he created with the new plants in place. It helps a lot to be able to visually see what the finished product will look like. We were so happy with the results that we came back to purchase more additions for our yard. I've been looking forward to visiting this nursery. Their trees look good and they have a large inventory. Stopped by to buy a couple trees to replace those lost in the ice storm. MVN advertised 50% off sale so what could go wrong? This was my first high pressure sales experience at a nursery, and once I saw the prices, it all made sense. $1000 for a 6 foot tall tree!! They include installation, but not delivery ($200 extra) which is part of the scam. A clear cash grab following the storms that damaged so many trees. Don't reward these guys by giving in to their tactics. There are plenty of honest reasonable nurseries around town. read more

I was surprised to learn that, yes the planting is included in the cost of the plant, but not the delivery charge!Having said that, our plants are healthy and beautiful. Angel & Layna & their fun Team did a great job of planting my new Italian Cypress Tree & reassuring me that they would have no trouble digging near electric & gas lines.
