While there, I couldn't help noticing all the great plants in their nursery. They had everything I usually see in all the beautiful landscaping around town, but can never seem to find. Bonus, they were also at a great price, so I picked up three that the owner suggested for shady gardens. They too are in great shape a month later and really thriving. I have been a customer of Moon Valley on Pond Springs since buying my home in 2022. I've always known they operate at premium pricing, but I was comfortable paying more because of the service, professionalism, and knowledge of the staff. This project started with Myles Click, who came to my home and helped plan the project at no charge. I had recently purchased decorative grasses for another project, but regardless, Myles was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. I have absolutely no complaints about my experience working with him. After his visit, we were scheduled to finalize the order the following day. Due to an unavoidable conflict, he recommended we meet with Kyle, the GM, that afternoon instead. Unfortunately, the experience my wife and I had during that meeting was completely different from any prior experience we'd had with Moon Valley. The interaction felt far more sales-driven than service-driven. I have expensive taste and don't mind paying for quality, but I do mind feeling nickel-and-dimed at every step of the process. What disappointed me most was the lack of acknowledgment of our loyalty as repeat customers. Previous experiences at Moon Valley had always made us feel valued. This time felt transactional. To Myles' credit, when I expressed my concerns, he did attempt to make things right. However, by that point the damage to the relationship had already been done. Because of this experience, I decided to shop around and ultimately found comparable products and installation services for nearly half the price. My advice to others: shop around before committing, even if you like the products. Premium pricing is one thing, feeling treated like a commission opportunity is another.

They were knowledgeable and helpful and set us up on a course to correct the problem. They truly go above and beyond and it adds to the value of the overall experience. She's got it all here: propagated starter plants perfect for newbies, bigger statement pieces for indoor and outdoor gardening, succulents, pots, and even cute accessories that make you want to redecorate your patio. It's small, but it has heart. Pricing is a bit of a mystery. Very few plants are labeled, so you just have to trust her when she throws out a price. Everything seemed pretty reasonable and affordable, though. I grabbed plant food, a pot of Cuban oregano, and another medium-sized plant all for $35. I liked the price but I couldn't tell you exactly what each item cost. Personally, I didn't mind, but a little transparency would go a long way. Back to the husband: he's a bit dismissive and he scowls. He doesn't greet customers. But my two cents? Sir...If you don't want to deal with people, maybe hang out somewhere else during business hours. Customers come for the plants and the experience. Not to feel like they're crashing your day. But the nursery itself is adorable, the plants are healthy, the prices are reasonable, and the owner is a delight. I cannot resist these. They are going to make an excellent addition to my garden. This store is medium priced, but their plants are high-quality. Last year I mentioned that if you're trying to completely re-do an entire garden in one trip, big box stores can sometimes be cheaper. BUT this year I tried something different I made a list on the Home Depot app and decided to stop by Round Rock Garden Center first to see what I could actually get cheaper locally. And honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up getting multiple garden beds worth of plants here ...three tomato plants (including a beautiful variety called Rapunzel suggested by a worker who didn't eat them but thought they're beautiful thanks girlie), four gorgeous marigolds, two sage plants, and the last Spanish lavender they had. The herb prices were great, and I loved that I could buy individual veggie plants instead of being forced to buy them in pairs like some places. The selection was also really nice they had varieties I definitely didn't see at Home Depot. What really stood out though was the staff. When I was checking out, I asked if they had any lavender because I hadn't spotted it (I'm honestly a little blind and sometimes overlook things ). One of the ladies at the register was so kind and actually walked out from behind the counter to show me exactly where the plant was. Another staff member in a pink staff shirt even walked me all the way to the back of the property to show me where both the English and Spanish lavender were. They were incredibly patient and helpful, and never made me feel silly for missing what was probably right in front of me. I ended up choosing the Spanish lavender because it was already blooming and a bit more established, and I'm really excited to get it planted. As a matter of fact, you'll find that almost everything donated here is of a higher quality than you'll find at your average Goodwill, and at around the same price. They do have a very good selection of quality clothing, but it does not dominate the floor. There are three dressing rooms and they have very clean bathrooms (and you don't need a key). Next to the entrance of the shop is their donation area. I was so impressed with the mission of this thrift store that from this point on I will be bringing my donations here instead of Goodwill. This thrift store should definitely be on your radar if you're looking for some good quality items. Plenty of photos to entice you.
