Told them I didn't want to spend more than $200 total but was ok spending that much if both saws ran like near new again. They verbally said total should be around $125 unless something was really bad. So 3 weeks after they said they should be done they said one was finished. It's total was $98. Then I'm told they could work on the other saw because the handle was broke so I agreed to let them fix it. No biggie as handle is under $35. When that saw was done it was $132. Here's where it gets good. The one saw is missing the oiler screw that I thought they were going to fix. Nope. The pull rope doesn't go all the way back in. Didn't look at that either. So WTF did they do? They "looked" over the entire saw and changed the spark plug and gas filter. That's it. So for not $125 but for $230 I basically got a new handle. I can change the spark plug in 2 minutes myself. And how the crap does a chainsaw repair shop NOT see the oiler screw completely missing, do they not test the saws for proper lubrication? I for sure thought they changed a carburetor (or both). Or at minimum had to adjust the carbs. Not sure how one can charge that much to change 2 spark plugs and 2 gas filters on a freaking chainsaw with a straight face.

Was able get some "landscaping theory" about sizes and locations of plants for a yard I planned landscaped in Sun City, then found that Mark actually lived next door to a regular customer in "Old Georgetown" Sputhwestern U" area. Though prices are higher than at HEB or a big box, I continue there for the advice & availability of things like compost and rooting stimulant, and find the crew under Mark's daughter to continue the good advice; and the somewhat higher price but greater variety and knowledge plus my pricing for customers of 1/2 the retail price of their plants bought there make it work out very well for me; and I've just bought my second Sweet Bay for MY OWN yard, recently, when the first, which made great chicken soup, froze during one of the frequent "SnowVid '21," SnowPocalypse '23," deep-freeze events... I got hired to work at the Pittsburgh location which is actually in Robinson Township very close to the Pittsburgh International Airport. My room sections were bedrooms, in which I was responsible for the design and layout, executing it all myself. So now, let's talk about IKEA. I am a huge fan and have been since prior to their expansion into the U.S. market. As a student, I had access to materials for furniture and decor from all over the world. And of course, when I was just starting out with my first apartment, everything was IKEA from top to bottom. All of the stores pretty much have the same setup (there may be one or two small differences). What it boils down to for me is the availability of items, i.e., do they have what I want in stock? These days, I am more of an accessories shopper or having lunch at the cafe, and stocking up on those sweet, sweet Swedish goodies. This location has everything I need and want anytime I swing by. The value and pricing IKEA has always been known for are still there, though they too have seen increases over the years. And even though it is a self-service concept, employees are always available to assist and are happy to do so. IKEA & this location get an A+ from me.
