Box up your customers items. Don't sit there and watch them do it themselves. Do your job.

Came here with high hopes, excitement even. I left frustrated and just eager to get gone. I love plant nurseries and I'm extremely passionate when it comes to all things plants and people. I had to box up my own plants, had to repeatedly ask for things to make transport easier on them. The lack of customer service was extremely sad. No help of any kind, just the genuine gawk at my struggle. I will not be returning for this very reason. Prices are decent, but the customer service absolutely sucks. Here's a photo of my box I had to personally put together without any help from staff. On top of a glass bird bath that she did not offer to wrap and was too busy scrolling on her phone.

I'm super bummed. I thought I found a great new nursery with unbeatable prices. I was so happy. I found a rubber tree for $10 as well as several other house plants I had been looking for. I checked the plants for pests before I purchased them. Everything looked fine. Unfortunately after I water my alocasia, it became infested in two days with massive mealy bugs and spider mites. The dirt is full of them. I made the mistake of setting these new plants next to plants I had already had in my home. I'm guessing I'm going to be doing damage control for a while.

PROS: Fantastic prices and selections. I've been to all the nurseries in the Austin area, and Snoopers has the best prices around for indoor plants, hanging plants, and landscaping. Absolutely gorgeous plants of all maturities. If you need help, find the lady working there as she is very helpful and patient. Support local businesses and shop here! CONS: Poor labeling of plants and suggested care. A suggestion to the owners (if they care) would to be label with plant names, prices, and suggested care. They have a whole section in the back with "mother plants" that are not for sale. You could put a "mother plant" out with a sign of the name, suggested care, and then the baby plants for sale around it. "Hi - I'm mom. I'm not for sale. My name is _____ and here's how to take care of me: " This would be helpful for novice plant purchasers, and enjoyable for plant experts to see.

Looking for our low-maintenance house plants!

Simple but good selection; people are not over friendly but get the job done. I was helped when i needed to find my first ever house plants and that was fun for me and my baby girl. Period. I'll go back for the good prices, not for the people.

This place is a lot of fun. They have a huge selection of any kind of plants you could want. My husband and I wanted to buy a Meyer Lemon tree, so I called around to several local nurseries, and Snooper's had the best price by quite a lot! The tree we purchased already has about a dozen lemons growing on it. In fact, all the lemon trees they had in stock had fruit. Both of the gentlemen we encountered that worked there were very nice and very informative. We plan to buy more fruit trees soon, and will absolutely be returning to Snooper's for them.

Last year I mentioned that if you're trying to completely re-do an entire garden in one trip, big box stores can sometimes be cheaper. BUT this year I tried something different I made a list on the Home Depot app and decided to stop by Round Rock Garden Center first to see what I could actually get cheaper locally. And honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up getting multiple garden beds worth of plants here ...three tomato plants (including a beautiful variety called Rapunzel suggested by a worker who didn't eat them but thought they're beautiful thanks girlie), four gorgeous marigolds, two sage plants, and the last Spanish lavender they had. The herb prices were great, and I loved that I could buy individual veggie plants instead of being forced to buy them in pairs like some places. The selection was also really nice they had varieties I definitely didn't see at Home Depot. What really stood out though was the staff. When I was checking out, I asked if they had any lavender because I hadn't spotted it (I'm honestly a little blind and sometimes overlook things ). One of the ladies at the register was so kind and actually walked out from behind the counter to show me exactly where the plant was. Another staff member in a pink staff shirt even walked me all the way to the back of the property to show me where both the English and Spanish lavender were. They were incredibly patient and helpful, and never made me feel silly for missing what was probably right in front of me. I ended up choosing the Spanish lavender because it was already blooming and a bit more established, and I'm really excited to get it planted. Thank you to the team at Round Rock Garden Center for being so friendly and helpful today. I'm really grateful for the experience and for the beautiful plants!

We picked the pea gravels for the garden walk path to match with our deck and asked the register what he would suggested for the new, first time garden bed that we just built. The guy at register said promix and we took his suggestion and excited to put them in our garden bed to find out that these consist of basically 70% sand and the rest are some small pieces mulch, pebbles and clay kind of stuff (doesn't look like compose). As time goes by after putting plants in and water them for few weeks we notice nothing grow and the dirt became cakey so I decided to ask around for the opinion on this dirt and everyone think its nothing but just craps. We have to throw almost all these away as its not suitable for garden bed and we did take the issue back to the store and they said they can do nothing about it as they use the same thing on their garden bed too which I called bs. The gravels we bought was great, the dirt is trashed. Hood amount of money spent to learn the lesson.

Then I'm told they could work on the other saw because the handle was broke so I agreed to let them fix it. No biggie as handle is under $35. When that saw was done it was $132. Here's where it gets good. The one saw is missing the oiler screw that I thought they were going to fix. Nope. The pull rope doesn't go all the way back in. Didn't look at that either. So WTF did they do? They "looked" over the entire saw and changed the spark plug and gas filter. That's it. So for not $125 but for $230 I basically got a new handle. I can change the spark plug in 2 minutes myself. And how the crap does a chainsaw repair shop NOT see the oiler screw completely missing, do they not test the saws for proper lubrication? I for sure thought they changed a carburetor (or both). Or at minimum had to adjust the carbs. Jrs review is missing quite a few details. I purchased a package AND a nuc last spring from these folks as well as 3 queens over summer. I am picking up 2 queens next week and THREE nucs next month. I am entering my 2d year of beekeeping and last year split the nuc and the package. I am splitting the original nuc AGAIN this year as well as the split from the original nuc this year. My package split wasn't so successful because one colony absconded. That happens. I may have to split the original package this year....will wait and see. As for your comments about "old" frames. Yes...the frames may be old...not sure. HOWEVER...I have had nothing but GREAT luck with their bees. The nuc I purchased last year clearly was successful. I have four hives currently (two double deeps and 2 single deeps. Splitting the doubles next week and installing the queens I am picking up). I probably will not be buying nucs next year. Perhaps some queens because I expect to have at least NINE hives by fall this year if not more because of needed splits.

I recently purchased nucs from The Bee Supply in Round Rock (for the third time) and was…read moredisappointed with the condition they arrived in compared to what most beekeepers would reasonably expect from established spring nucs. The industry standard of a nuc is that it is intended to be a functioning miniature colony created from established hives, with well-developed brood patterns, adequate bee populations, drawn comb, and sufficient food stores already in place to support continued growth. The colonies I received did not reflect that expectation. They did not contain any full or nearly full frames of brood or food stores. Brood was sparse and mostly open, with no visible larvae during initial inspection/installation. Much of the comb area across multiple frames was unused, with significant empty space lacking brood, nectar, or honey stores. Honey reserves overall were minimal. Based on standard nuc expectations, I anticipated a consistently higher population density, multiple solid brood frames containing eggs, larvae, and capped brood, along with more established stores to support a successful transfer and buildup. The bees themselves appeared alive and workable. All queens were marked and appeared active. All were docile considering the ride and weather. However, the nucs in general seemed weak and underdeveloped relative to the price and expectations typically associated with quality nuc colonies. I would encourage prospective buyers to ask detailed questions about brood coverage, food stores, frame utilization, queen laying status, and overall colony strength before purchasing.
