    Pancake deluxe
    Lou M.

Pretty simple review here. Very quick service and decent food. We got seated right away and the food came out pretty fast. I ordered the pancake deluxe and it was an absolute huge portion. I could only finish the meat eggs and one pancake. If you order this, get the small stack unless you really think you can put away three huge pancakes??. Overall, I'm very happy with the experience here.

    Burnt "huge" Huge!! Breakfast Burrito

Make it snappy and seat yourself! This place is all gas and no rest unless you're a VIP regular but even then you might catch the waitress talking about how rude your husband was the last time you came in behind the counter. Our first time in and once we found out we could seat ourselves we had to choose between the booth with the duct tape covering a huge rip or the wobbly table. We went with the wobbly table. Then we had the waiter running back and forth because we would start to talk and then she'd run off before we finished our sentence. She also had to come back and verify with us our order because she wasn't really paying attention when we did talk. We ordered the cinnamon toll ('microwaved), pancakes (dense) and the breakfast burrito (not sure why they called it huge. It was regular sized. Also burnt inside). Wasn't sure how the check out processes went and since there was so much chaos going on we didn't want to wait so we went to the counter to pay. It was then they finally asked how we were doing and if everything was okay. This place seems like it's one of those i'm starving and it's before 11am and breakfast specials $6.

Have not been here in more than a few years. Used to be my neighborhood hangout when it used to be Pinky's Cafe. Ordered a sandwich with bacon cheese and egg on an English muffin. Coffee cup was never empty. Busy on weekend morning. Still a good spot to grab breakfast brunch or lunch.

This was the perfect breakfast spot. They have lots of options to choose from and it's kid friendly. They have daily specials and the service was so friendly. They have fresh pies you can order too. I am excited to return to this cute little corner cafe and try some of their lunch items!

Anahi my waitress was excellent this morning. My first time here, my Dr's office is across the street and she recommended this place for breakfast Chorizo, eggs hash browns and coffee. Simple yet done right, satisfied not stuffed. Good prices and fun atmosphere with the staff and the kool robot buss boy, that's what kicked this little breakfast from 4 to 5 stars for me. I love that it has a counter to sit at when you're by yourself, i feel guilty taking up space in a booth.

Let me start off by saying my coffee latte was excellent.. 5/5. I ordered the Sweet Treat latte and it was delicious but sadly I won't be back. I walked in and sat at a bar where the barista was making drinks. I watched as she made drinks, cleaned, did everything except greet or acknowledge me! After giving it some time, I said to her excuse me do you have a menu and she goes menu is over there. I then responded it would have been nice if you said something to me and she responded oh the bar is closed to that I responded well this is my first time here and I didn't know that but maybe if you would have said something to me. Anyway, I clearly was irritated and if I didn't have the passport for the free drink, I would have left. I had every intention of buying a pastry or something else and sitting in the shop and enjoying my morning but she rubbed me the wrong way! How hard is it to welcome someone, ask if they need help instead of ME having to get her attention when the place was empty. I wish I got her name. I found her rude and won't be returning. Save your money! Support local businesses that are welcoming.

So, when I walked into the building entrance with intentions to see an art exhibit & I was punched in the face with the intoxicating smell of coffee I HAD to try it, obviously. & they didn't disappoint. The person that took my order made some helpful & honest recommendations, which I appreciate! Considering I don't want to commit to an $8 coffee I'm not going to enjoy, no thanks. I ordered something off the seasonal menu...I think? To be honest I can't recall exactly what drink I ordered but it was iced & about $8 & I asked for light on the caramel. I had to be quick since I was meeting someone & we had limited time. Coffee came out pretty quick & it was a good choice! Great balance of flavor, not too sweet, coffee was smooth. Not too much ice either. I would definitely order again. The space was cool too, lots of natural light, lots of people working. I've been frequenting this architectural marvel for over 10 years. While so many new shops try to mimic this vibe, none of them are Lux. Lux is King! The 11-Year Flashback: I looked back at my review from 11 years ago when I docked them a star for the "nightmare parking." Back then, I was a "to-go" only person who never envisioned myself as a laptop-hipster hanging out. Well, times change! I'm bumping them up to 5 stars now. Maybe it's the new competition nearby or my better timing, but the parking is a breeze, and I've officially embraced the "comfy chair" lifestyle. The "Cheers" Factor: What really sets this place apart is the people. After a decade of visits, it truly feels like Cheers--where everybody knows my name! Getting to know the folks behind the counter makes every visit feel like coming home. The Sip of the Night: I shifted from my usual plain Cappuccino as my target drink to include in a review to feature their Espresso Martini. I went with a Reposado base instead of the typical vodka, and it was stellar. With two full bars in addition to the coffee and pastry bar, craft drinks truly abound here! (Note: they have an amazing cappuccino too) The Comfort Classics: You cannot leave without the food. My go-to favorites? The Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese and the legendary Chocolate Chip or Red Velvet cookies. Return Factor: 100% I've been coming here for a decade, and it's still the gold standard. As I said in my review 11 years ago: "I see a book, comfy chair and cocktail in my future! Stumble home... Repeat." [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink.
