Got a kids scoop of the black raspberry after a hike and it hit the spot. It's right on the water but there's not much seating inside. Solid ice cream but you don't need to out of the way for it
I've heard so many good things about this creamery and finally decided to stop by. It's located in such a cute little town, which makes the experience even better. I tried the fig ice cream and the caramel chocolate chip, and both were delicious. You can really tell the ice cream is homemade--the flavors were rich, fresh, and not overly sweet. The fig was unique and flavorful, while the caramel chocolate chip was the perfect classic choice. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area, and I'll absolutely be back to try more flavors.
Super generous servings and is well worth the price! It is also in the best area to walk around or sit and enjoy your ice cream with beautiful views. So many flavors as well as sweet, attentive workers.
Cold Spring Ice Cream - Moo Over, Häagen-Dazs... Quick and friendly service with a great daily selection of flavors. The half scoop option is perfect for anyone looking for a smaller sweet treat after brunch or dinner. The ice cream here is spectacular and eating it on a bench while looking out at the water across the street is even better. Incredible ice cream awaits at the very end of Main Street in Cold Spring. Stroll to the end of the block and you'll spot a tunnel that runs beneath the train tracks walk through, and it brings you out by the water on the other side of Main Street. The shop sits on the right at Main and West. I can't wait to go back.
Had the nilla Wafer ice cream and black raspberry double scoop ice cream on a waffle cone. It was tasty and portions are big. Service was quick and friendly. The place was smaller than I imagined and it's right by the waterfront.
Delicious and generous ice cream. I had the "one scoop" and couldn't finish it. We had the walnutella, black raspberry, and butter pecan flavors. All were well-received.
Just a short 5-minute walk from the Amtrak station, Moo Moo Creamery is the perfect way to kick off a visit to Cold Spring! We tried a few flavors and ended up choosing the vanilla chocolate - so creamy, rich, and delicious! You can tell everything is made with care. The vibe is friendly and relaxed, and the location couldn't be better. After grabbing our cones, we took a walk through the nearby park - ice cream in hand - and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. If you're in Cold Spring, this place is a must. Don't miss it!
This is the cutest shop! It's in a very scenic location! The shop was clean and the service was excellent. This was my first time visiting, and I will definitely be back. The shop has a "Today's Flavor" sign, highlighting the flavors available. There were flavors that I've never tried before. I loved the fact that they had traditional and exciting flavors to offer. I had the Caramel Chocolate Chip on a waffle sugar cone. THEE BEST!

A must try spot if you're ever in Cold Spring! They have daily flavors, they're super creamy and the works are very friendly. It helps they have an incredible view of the Hudson valley as well! I got the chocolate almond with Oreos - delicious.
Stopped by Moo Moo's, again, and enjoyed every moment. Not only is their ice cream good, but they are perfectly situated. After you purchase your delicious item, you could walk a few yards to the edge of the Hudson River and enjoy spectacular views of West Point Military Academy, across the river. Thank you, Moo Moo's, for your great products and for helping make a lot of people...enjoy a moment.
Another nice ice cream shop in Garrison. Always have long lines. You can walk the streets in town, window shop, eat, drink, but when it's time for dessert, head out to Moo Moos. Sit on the grass or bench, admire the Hudson River view and eat your ice cream. You won't be disappointed. Make it the final stop before you head home.
Could be best ice cream in NY. Right on the water. Insanely creamy ice cream where you can tell every ingredient is top-notch, the real-deal that you can taste in every bite. What you'd get on a farm or somewhere in Europe, it's that good. The cherry vanilla is incredible, as is the cookie butter. Can't wait to try more. 5 stars!!!

I decided to stop by here yesterday. I got 1 cup with 2 scoops, one scoop was pumpkin and the other scoop was spiced apple. Pumpkin-definitely tasted the pumpkin spice in there. Tasted like a pumpkin pie. The texture of the ice cream was really good. Spiced apple: This was kind of a mixed bag. It had big slices of apple in it. It was not seasoned nearly as much as the pumpkin. But it was still very good. I ended up snacking on it in the park afterwards. Super Yummy read more
This place is by the water so it's quite beautiful and there's a lot of benches nearby to sit with your ice cream. The line was out the door late Saturday afternoon. It took maybe 15 mins for us to get inside and order. They do allow samples but the counter is quite chaotic since they have different employees handling different people in line. Honey cinnamon walnut (~$6) - solid scoop for $6. It was more than enough and had a light cinnamon flavor that wasn't too overpowering. There were small chunks of walnut that were a nice touch and added a bit of crunch. read more

When traveling one of my favorite things to try is local ice cream spots with unique flavors. Luckily Moo Moo's delivered! On a chilly November Sunday afternoon, with a line out the door the employees were working hard and efficiently to serve every customer. While the space is small it feels cozy and inviting and best of all authentic! The flavors change so imo it's best to take a look at the day's offerings and take a chance. I opted for their s'mores while my parents chose a classic strawberry. For ordering one scoop of each, the servings were very generous and best of all so delicious! I would definitely everyone make a stop when in town. Highly recommend and plan to return! As always, you'll find these spots are manned by young students so make sure to tip ! read more
This store continued to have a big line for hours on Saturday afternoon. I tried the fig, strawberry and black raspberry which started to melt in the hot humid weather. I sampled some creamsicle and it really was the best. My friends loved the frozen sorbet, walnut chocolate. The nilla nilla flavor was more on the vanilla side. Would have loved to try a milkshake but they weren't offering that day. Seems that those who hiked in the area and locals were both patiently waiting. Very generous servings. Came to Moo Moo's and tried a scoop of their pumpkin ice cream. Pretty good ice cream, very thick texture, almost like a frozen custard. Big scoop - 1 was plenty after dinner. Flavor list was mostly conventional with a few surprises but nothing really out there or original. Pumpkin flavor was nice but could have been a bit more pungent maybe with some pumpkin spice. Would try on future visits to Cold Spring but possibly go for a different flavor. Good location right near the water. read more

Ice cream were good. Service was quick. The place were small and crowded when we were there on a Sunday afternoon but that's not a big deal. You can just go to the park across it and enjoy your ice cream there. Definitely worth stopping by if you are nearby. read more
This spot is the cherry on top after a day of wonderful hiking and gorgeous, rewarding views at Breakneck Ridge. This little ice cream shop is so cute, the ambience transports you to childhood and simpler times. We were extremely hungry after our hike, so we wound up having a very early dinner. This means that by the time we hopped over to Moo Moo's, most people were eating dinner, and so we got to skip the long line that apparently often goes around the corner--SCORE! I had the graham cracker (cup) and it was so luxuriously rich and creamy. Something about the consistency and flavor of the ice cream makes you feel and appreciate that it really is THAT fresh (aka made daily). I wish I lived closer or could pile on dozens on flavors without consequences, that's how delicious it was. Staff is very nice and generously offers both recommendations and samples. Bonus points for the gorgeous waterside views and adorable little town that serve as the backdrop for your ice cream adventure. If you're even somewhat close by, it's worth the pit stop! read more

Unfortunately was the most underwhelming experience I have had at an ice cream shop. Got the creamsicle and coconut scoops and both were not great. It all tasted very syrupy and fake. Do not recommend. read more

As soon as we finished our hike, we immediately went straight to Moo Moo's after hearing rave reviews about their delicious flavors. After staring at the menu for 5 minutes, we decided on a scoop of fudge mint Oreo each. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we could not sample other flavors. I really wanted to try out their other unique flavors such as fig and shortbread cookie. Nonetheless, we received a generous scoop of mint Oreo and enjoyed a nice cool down snack while sitting on one of the benches on the Hudson River. Our one critique is that we couldn't find the fudge in our ice cream. Either way, it was nice and creamy. A well deserved post hike treat! read more

A nice treat during a stroll of Cold Spring's Waterfront. I got two scoops of the hazelnut, one of my favorite flavors. Unfortunately, it wasn't "hazelnutty" enough for me. The ice cream itself is very creamy, obviously good quality, but the flavor came off as more "just caramel" to me. Although the scoops are large, two scoops came out to $6.25 which was more than I was expecting, (Tip: Two scoops in one order is much cheaper than two separate 1-scoop orders.) Flavors are limited. We came here on a fall, Friday afternoon so it wasn't crowded. They have two service windows separated far from each other, which was great for social distancing. Lines marking the sidewalk help keep the crowd separated. COVID-19 precautions were observed. Overall, it was an average experience. If I'm in the area, I might return and try out a different flavor, but Moo Moo's seems to benefit more from it's location on the Waterfront than anything else. read more

BEST ICE CREAM PLACE AROUND! I'm from Westchester, and going to Cold Spring for Moo Moo's is the highlight of my trip. There are always some great flavors there. When I went, they had a blueberry flavor that took me by surprise. I didn't expect such a great tasting ice cream. They have some cool options, such as a nilla wafer flavor. If you're around the area, it's a must go. read more

Tuesday (4:00pm)Order for 3 My friends and I found this ice cream place when we were trying to find a place to eat. It's in a beautiful location and a cute town that we fell in love with! ~~~~~CLEANLINESS~~~~~ - They have markers and warnings in the front so that customers waiting on line distance themselves - There are 2 windows that people can order from and they take your order from afar ~~~~~SERVICE~~~~~ - They take your order from the ice cream counter so there's some distance between you - Kind of have to yell over the distance and the masks (not a bad thing) - Workers were nice and patient with us. Also gave my friend a recommendation when she was having trouble deciding on a flavor - Their price for "1 big scoop" said $4 and I asked if they had anything smaller, which they did (a half scoop). The price ended up being $3+ tho so it might just be better to get a regular scoop ~~~~~FOOD~~~~~ *Half Scoop of Mint Fudge Oreo ($3+) - Was worried the fudge would make this heavy, but I didn't really notice fudge in it anyways - No artificial green coloring for the mint! - We were out in the sun, so it did melt a bit - I liked the flavor - refreshing subtle mint taste and small pieces of Oreo - If you're looking for something with a crunch, this wouldn't be it because the Oreo pieces are pretty small and softened in the ice cream - I'm lactose intolerant and didn't have any ~issues~ with this! - I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area and try some of their other flavors :) read more

I came here on a nice Saturday afternoon. This is probably the best ice cream place in Cold Springs (there's two other places that are not that good). This ice cream place is conveniently located across the street from the Cold Springs Waterfront. You can get ice cream then go sit on the waterfront looking at the water and the mountains. There's always a line but it moves quickly. I ordered a small chocolate thin mint in a cup. The chocolate ice cream was creamy and there was a lot of thin mint cookie chunks. A small size is supposed to be one scoop but it's a very big scoop so it's a good enough portion for me. The staff were friendly and fast. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area. read more
Came by for an afternoon snack on a Saturday afternoon with 3 other friends. We ordered by the counter: each of us had a scoop serving (which you can pick 2 flavors!!) and a cone on the side (waffle, sugar or cake). Please note that all flavors of the day can be seen listed on the chalk board from the counter. Not all flavors listed online are available. There is a huge variety though! I got the blueberry and nilla nilla wafer scoops in a cup with a waffle cone!!! They scoop them inside, bring you your order and you give them the card so they can swipe. On a hot day, the ice cream melts quickly and you can sit by the water but be careful about social distancing. It can get crowded!!! Overall, I enjoyed the flavors I chose - blueberry was just the right amount of tart and the nllla nilla wafer had bits of crackers in them. read more

The ice cream shop has this magnet that pulled us to get in after a short walk from the park. The place's creamy ice cream made our day. I find their pricing a little bit pricey. 1 scoop is enough , for few dollars more - you'll end up getting their 2 scoops servings. There is nothing much flavors available. It's location is perfect as it is the only ice cream joint by the riverside, there is an option to eat right by the park for a good view of the water. There is small seating area in the front for eating pleasure. The store is small but it looked bigger from the outside as it looks like a house. read more
There are 3 flavors of ice cream which will immediately get my attention. One is butter pecan - pretty common, sometimes buttery in flavor, sometimes butterscotchy. The second is strawberry cheesecake - a little less common. Finally, there's Mexican Chocolate, a flavor which can be a bit challenging to find. Thankfully. Moo Moo's carries it, to which I give two big OLE's, one for having it, and one for it being awesome. This ice cream was rich and creamy, perfectly made, and they got the blend of chocolate, cinnamon, and spiciness just right. A cost of just over $4 for a single scoop may seem high, but it is indeed a generous scoop. And if you want a better deal, order a second or even a third scoop - but bring a spare stomach. Equally tempting was another less common flavor I spied on the menu, Maple Bacon. Then there's that view of the Hudson River, convenient from the chairs inside, the porch, or the waterfront area across the street. The ice cream and the scenery are a winning combination. read more
Stopped by Moo Moo's Creamery after a motorcycle adventure. It's a really cute location, it looks like a little house, right across the street from a little park on the water. The store itself is pretty small, the line was out the door since it was such a nice Sunday afternoon. It's pretty expensive for ice cream, but they advertise large scoop sizes. The girls in front of me got pretty large scoops. Mine was not large, but maybe cuz I got a cup instead of a cone. I got the creamsicle and gingersnap flavors. The creamsicle was tasted just like an orange creamsicle. Gingersnap was a little bit disappointing, I've had better ginger cookie ice cream. It was nice to eat in the park across the street, but I'd only come if I were in the area. read more

I had a medium mint chocolate fudge with a waffle cone and it was very good. You have to stand outside to order and they bring the ice cream to you. There are many options and there is a park nearby with a view of the Hudson River to sit and enjoy your ice cream. A medium ice cream with a waffle cone and a bottled water was $9. The service was pretty good and quick. read more

This is a must if in Cold Springs. I had just come back from an arduous hike and this was the perfect end to an active trip. Located right by the water, it is perfect just to get a scoop or two and sit by the river. One scoop here is huge by the way. At $4+, one scoop is really three scoops of delicious heaven. I got the salted caramel and it was delicious! Super creamy, full of flavor. I also tried the cookie butter which tasted like cinnamon teddy grahams. A perfect place to hit up after a day of hiking. Moo Moo's offers a great variety of delicious ice cream in a convenient location for train users. In terms of location Moo Moo's is right near the boardwalk of the Hudson river in downtown Cold Springs. It's great to just buy ice cream here and take it to a bench to watch the mountains or near a park to relax on the grass. The boardwalk and Moo Moo's are also 2 small blocks away from the train station so you can relax in this area until your next train comes in. Inside Moo Moo's is a bit small and they don't offer any internal seating. This means that lines can be pretty long and cramped... but it is worth it! The ice cream here is super creamy, reasonably priced and they have load of flavors to choose from. When I was here I chose Fig because I wanted something fruity/sweet. Overall if your looking for ice cream and are taking a day trip to Cold Spring Moo Moo's is a great place to end the day. read more

Was expecting to be wowed, but it was just good. Extra points for the gorgeous river views just outside the creamery. Didn't love the chocolate based flavors, but enjoyed the S'mores and chocolate chip. Great option if you're in cold spring and in the mood for ice cream, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more
