However, that is understandable because there is only 1 Cartier lab in the U.S. (Told to me by Orion Optical). So it was to be expected. I was super hype, so I called each week after paying to see when they would come in. When I called, they tasted me as if I were family. They knew exactly who I was, they spoke warm and welcoming. They always gave me any information that they had at that time. Now onto the sunglasses. This is my 1st pair, but not my last pair of Cartiers. They are literally featherlight and look so good on my face and against my skin. The gradient color pops, the signature C..pops and I look good as hellbin them! Lyn helped me out and was super knowledgeable and easy to work with. I brought in a bunch of ideas and pics, and she really helped bring everything together. She gave honest suggestions on what would look better for my face instead of just going along with everything, which I appreciated. From frame size to lens sizing bring out a ruler to measure me up. She definitely felt like the specialist when it came to this type of custom work. Shoutout to the rest of the staff too--everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the process. She also helped me pick the perfect lens color to match the panther eyes on the frames, which came out What stood out was the attention to detail--especially with the diamond cuts. She pointed out small details I wouldn't have even noticed, which made a big difference in the final result. It did take about 1.5 months, but that's expected with custom lenses and special ordering. Definitely worth the wait. They do get busy, so I'd recommend making an appointment. I walked in and got lucky Lyn was available, but better to book ahead. Overall, really happy with how everything turned out.

I commented to Dr. P that I had to wait 2 hours. At this, Dr. P, not only got defensive, but I felt, personally insulted. I did not make an untrue statement. He was 2 hours late. I did have my eyes dilated, but had waited prior to this and after until I was seen. At this, he told me I was"Mean". I wasn't mean, I was honest as I pointed out, but he couldn't let it go. I apologized again as I realized he was taking this so personally, even telling me he has told his children not to become doctors due to people like me. Weird. At this, I apologized again for my statement of saying he was late and he went off on a tangent of "having done good surgery on me", yes he did. Cataract surgery. However this had nothing to do with being late. He said I couldn't say something like this and expect an apology was acceptable. He looked at my chart and said I had been coming to him since 2021. He could not drop this. He is a good doctor, however has run late consistently. I will be changing opthomologist as It was if I was at that point speaking to a spoiled child, not a professional doctor.

The attention to my care is very reassuring and refreshing. My only ask is for them to carry more specific Asian fit glasses. Picking out frames is usually a horribly traumatic and tedious process for me and I do it as infrequently as possible, but my prescription changed a lot this time so here we are. When I walked in, staff greeted me warmly and said to feel free to browse and let them know when I'm ready or if I need help. Veronica checked on me after she finished with other customers about 10 minutes later. I had found a few I liked but not THE ONES. Explained what I was looking for, and the second pair she brought me were absolutely perfect. It felt weird to not continue looking as it hadn't yet been two hours of misery (lol), but these were THE ONES. She guided me through paperwork, selecting options for lenses, thoroughly explaining how much insurance covers. Less than 15 minutes later I was out of there. Dr. Lacey carefully examined my eyes and ruled out glaucoma -- which was such a relief, since another doctor in Oregon had almost scheduled me for surgery. I originally liked a pair of Silhouette glasses, but the price point was above what I was expecting, so Darlene helped me find some Ray Bans as an alternative which I ended up liking better. She was also great with showing me color options on her computer and what would go with my skintone. I ordered just in time for my 2024 insurance benefit and can't wait for my new glasses to come in. Have been using Costco Optical and Optometry for years…read more The optometrist is actually an independent business with their office inside the warehouse...but their website, scheduling and stuff is separate. I have been seeing Dr. Rachel Reed for several years, and she has always been great to work with as my eyes (and the rest of me) get older. Last week got my update to glasses and contacts prescription, and had a great conversation about some of the other options out there (vision for golf, Lasik, cataract surgery, all the stuff you think about in your 60's LOL). I have VSP insurance through my employer benefits, and there are other options I have that take more of the VSP benefits...but then charge WAY more for services, products, filling prescriptions, and such. I've found over the years that the combination of Costco optometry (or, to be more precise, TM Optometry) and their optical department comes through with great service, and great value. I'll keep using them rather than the other local options.
