Does anyone know if this is true or not. I have been told by the Service Team that if you take your vehicle somewere else for an oil change, and if something goes wrong with it, it is not going to be covered by your warranty??? I have a 2012 Chevy Equinox and I have been taking it to them since I purchased it for the same reason. They are too expensive in the 1st place, $ 49.95 for a frekin oil, filter and dont know what else change. If they tell you that it will be ready on a Wednesday expect it to be available seven day from that day! I waited 8 days longer than the date they said it would be ready! huge incovience for me and I hated have to call every other day to see if it was ready! If I could give 0 stars I would. Took my Corvette in to be painted on a quarter panel and when I got it back they replaced one emblem and ruined the paint on the very back. Then they acted like they did not want to fix their mistake had they used proper technique that would not have to repaint then charged the insurance company twice for their mistake. In the mean time Kim and Ann-Marie could not update me through out this whole time and treated my husband and I rudely. Like we did not know anything. My husband worked for a dealership in the service department. Finally three weeks later I get the car back and I check the car over and all 4 of my BRAKE LENSES are scratched, as if on purpose, and someone went JOY Riding in my Vette. Every mirror had been moved. Mind you this is only a paint job on a quarter panel not engine service so no need for test driving the car. Plus my clutch was acting up as if someone did not know how to drive a stick shift. WORST EXPERIENCE ever. I would not recommend this company for anything. Also during all of this I needed a key cut for my other car. A dealership that can not cut keys???? But someone else told me they had there keys cut there. Just wanted to give a little review on my experience at Monument Chevrolet. A couple of days ago I scheduled an appointment for an oil change & tire rotation and got the best service ever. I have never in my life had service like I did that day and it was all because of two people...Russel Nsonamoah & Michelle Seymour...They are phenomenal. These two will get you the service you need and deserve. They took care of me from the time I drove into the service department and until I came back to pick up my vehicle which was hours from the original apt. time. Having great customer service from people you dont know at all is so great. There is no good reason for this poor excuse of a dealership to receive even one star. First of all, my wife took my truck to be repaired for a minor leak. She asked them to open up the hood to show them exactly where the truck was leaking. They end up charging me $600 for something entirely different that they decided to repair, saying that what they repaired would resolve the problem. We get our truck back and since they said the issue was completely resolved, we take a weekend trip and notice that our truck is still leaking, meaning -- the problem was never resolved. We kindly called them and let them know that the repair had been unsuccessful and if they could take care of it, since we had already paid to have the issue resolved. 1. They told me that I would have to pay more money to have the problem fixed. 2. They had the audacity to call my wife a liar, stating that she never showed them the leak under the hood. When that was the only reason for her taking in the vehicle in the first place. 3. We asked to speak to the manager to see what could be done, if anything... he was RUDE, he refused to speak with us, and that he would "call me whenever he had time", which I thought was extremely unprofessional as a business manager. I am a paying customer. I expect basic service and professionalism from any business that takes my money and unfortunately, Monument Chevrolet did not meet the basic standards and went above and beyond to be the absolute worst dealership/repair service I have ever been to. This isn't the first time they have done this to me. They fail to pay attention to the concerns of the vehicle owners and that is unacceptable. But, on the bright side, I have finally learned my lesson and do not intend to take my vehicle to them ever again. read more

Excessive body shop time for repairs. If you have insurance coverage for a rental, beware of the time you are covered compared to the time this dealership will take. I am stuck paying out of pocket expenses for a rental because Monument Chevrolet exceeded my coverage & all I keep getting is "it shouldn't be more than a couple of days" ... Or "I will look into it and give you a call back". What started off as a quote for "20 days" turned into "a 12 week repair time" according to the supervisor. read more

First of all brought my car in to have some repairs done. Had some coolant leaks. Spent $928. Drove it home that night and one of the clamps were not down hose came off antifreeze went everywhere I had to refill it bring it back the next day to have it checked. No discount no money back no nothing. Decided to go over to the used cars check it out maybe decide to trade it in and get a new car after already spending $900 on this car to be fixed by you. Car salesman Theo not very interested in selling a car. Come in spend two hours and you close at 6:30 due to COVID-19. Says first thing in the morning he will run credit through some banks get back with me. 330 the next day after I finally called and spoke with Jeff the manager after yelling griping and complaining an hour after that finally get some information. It does not take all day +2 hours a day before to get information back from my bank. Apparently was not too interested in selling a car will never come back to Monument had a recent crappy experience in 2008. Always will go to AutoNation Chevrolet bought five cars from them should've known this place never changes or makes anything right! read more

i had the WORST experience here!!! it started with me taking my car to get a couple of recalls fixed, i took my car in around 4:30 and i was helped by a wonderful women by the name of Dawn Tanner, she was great, very sweet, she knew how to do her job. Well she set up everything and she gave us a time estimate of about 2 hours for my car to get fixed. we stayed at the facility for almost 2 hours and they offered us the shuttle service home because the car was not ready, we were okay with that and accepted the ride. around 7:45 i called someone by the name of Ross (Dawn had went home by that time) and he told us the car would take another 2-3 hours! i was a bit annoyed but it was okay. 2 hours later around 9:45 i called again to check the status and what Mr. Ross told me absolutely blew my mind! he had told me my car hadn't been touched!! my car had been there for almost 6 hours and was not touched! i was so upset i told them i wanted to pick my car up and take it in another day and they said it was fine that i could pick it up. I asked for the shuttle service because, well they still had my car, and i was told the shuttle service had ended for the day, but the first shuttle service we had earlier that day the driver told us he'd be there until midnight so why would the porter be there until midnight but could not actually transport people? we had to take my boyfriends older vehicle with no insurance or current stickers, it was very late and we could not get a ride from anyone else! when we arrived my car wasn't even in the mechanics garage, it was just parked off to the side and it's not like they were busy, there were NO vehicles in the garage! my boyfriend went inside to speak to a manager, the manager he spoke to was JD MENDEZ the night time manager, basically he was just giving excuses for the car not being ready. The thing that really set us off was a mechanic walked into the building and my boyfriend asked "how long would it take to fix these recalls" and the mechanic said "OH ABOUT 15 MINUTES" my car was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes!!! why on earth could they not work on it while we were there for almost 2 hours!!!!! i was so beyond upset i was tired, i work, and had to work early and it was already very late for me. we asked them to fix it at that moment so they did, they took it back and were done in 20 min, the manager JD MENDEZ brought my car to me and i asked him if it was ready, if everything was fixed, and he said yes everything is okay, well apparently not!!!!! yesterday i received a call from Dawn letting us know our car part had came in and we could take the car in, i did not know what to say because the manager nor the mechanic told us my car needed a part! i was lead to believe my car was safe and ready to go, but they had to order a part for my car and they did not tell me!!!! i emailed the day time manager by the name of DANNY BARNETT to tell him about what happened and he did apologize, but he said he couldn't do anything about my lost time and that next time things would run smoothly?! well he was wrong about that too because i just found out about a part i didn't know my car needed!!!! if i could give this place negative stars i would! i will be taking this to corporate because that was very unprofessional!!! read more

I was told "DO NOT" take my truck to Monument Chevrolet for service but I did anyway. Boy was that a mistake! I had my truck towed to MC on Friday I did not think that they would look at it before Monday and was correct. Monday they did not contact me nor would anyone return my calls. I went by after work they told me two modules needed replacing it would be $700 I said ok. They said it would be ready by 8:pm I went to get it and was informed it needed two modules not one I said that I had approved the two modules they did not understand the confussion. I told them to contact their people get it straightened out I would be back tomorrow. Tuesday they did not call or answer my calls so I go by after work. Now I find out they have found other things wrong and now the bill is $1,700. I said no way and asked how much to get the truck running the now tell me it needs still another module and it will be $1,022 to get my truck running I said fine do it. Now there is no dought in my mand that they replaced one module and that was not it, so they replaced another module and that was not it now they will replace still another module and I am hoping that will be it. Now I have lived and worked in the Pasadena, Deer Par area all my life as does most of my family and I can assure you none of them will ever have anything to do with Monument Chevrolet ever as will none of the people at my church, the union I belong to, as well as the 52 chem plants and refineries that are my clients. I found a used truck through their website and went in to take a look on Memorial Day. I have been looking for a couple weeks and had not had pleasant experiences with used at some of the other dealers around town. Their sales associate in the used car department, Hany Abdelmessih, helped me test drive the vehicle, answer my questions, and work through the paperwork. He did a great job and I was very happy that I never had to deal with any of the gimmicks car salesmen are notorious for. Their price was fair, and I have to say my experience was so pleasant I decided to take the time to write a review. I bought a new car there. My paper work shows several hundred dollars in fees and "extras" that were never discussed but were added onto the negotiated price. That's above taxes and registration/title fees. VIN etching, loan insurance and documentation fee added up to nearly $600 alone. And there were plenty more. They'll work their best to screw you over one way or another. Of course, when they see these bad reviews, they want to try and smooth things over with public replies of sorrow. If they really wanted to make things right, they could look at their paperwork and add up what was stolen from me and send me a check. I'll report back when that happens. read more

I was excited about my purchase of a 2018 Suburban but now I'm second guessing my purchase bought the truck on April 20, 2018. I pulled out the back floor mats to sweep them off noticed the backing on the carpet was out and noticed the adhesive on the back window was also showing. So last night took in spoke with Ross Herrod who proceeds to tell me I'd have to wait and hour and a half which I said NO so I said can I make an appointment which he said sure how about bringing in the car at 7am today first I said ok then realized I could not had a meeting. So I call today and the guy who answered tells me to come at 4 talk to Ross since he already looked at the vehicle because I told him I'm not waiting but I will still have to pay a deposit for a rental because they do not have loaners. Jan. 24, 2018 . We've purchased several vehicles from Monument Chevrolet. We have had 3 vehicles serviced at Monument. Service has gone down since Rick left. My daughter drives a used 2010 Nissan Armada we purchased 1 1/2 year ago from Monument. She purchased new tires and immediately took it to the service department for an alignment. ( Dec 2016). Late Oct/early Nov.2017 she noticed the steel belt was coming out of the rear tires. Went to Tire store, they said it was alignment. Went back to Monument service dept. asked what they were going to do. Bought another whole set of tires, now we have over $1000 in tires in less than a year. Immediately took back to service dept. was charged a portion for another alignment. Called and talked to Mr. Smith. He said he would make it right because he valued our customer loyalty. HA!. Called left a message Dec 9, made a visit to see if he was there. Still no reply. Needless to say they lost a customer. Very disappointed in this dealership. Mrs. C. read more

Purchased a used Tahoe from this dealership, about 4 months ago and have put around 2000 miles on it. Here are the issues... 1st - There was a dent on the bottom of the lift gate, and was told by the salesman that it would probably be $500 to fix. It's going to cost a lot more than that to fix it. These guys were asking top dollar for a used car with damage, and I was stupid enough to purchase this truck from them. I suppose this is my fault. 2nd - The brakes were squealing and I took it to a shop and they said I needed new rotors and pads. 3rd - The belt was squealing and I took it to a shop and they said that I needed a new a/c belt, serpentine belt, and tensioner. 4th - When I purchased it, there were some aftermarket LED tail lights on it. They stopped working 2 weeks after I bought the truck. 5th - When I bought the truck, there were metal valve stem caps on the tires. They bonded to the valve stem and I couldn't take them off. I had to take them to a shop, and they cut the valve stems off and replaced them. Plus, the tires were not programmed in the right location. My tire went flat on the driver rear, and it said that the tire was flat on the driver front. 6th - This Tahoe has the entertainment package with the wireless headphones. When I was looking at the truck, the wireless headphones were in the back seat. After I purchased the vehicle, and they detailed it (poorly, might I add), the headphones were missing. I didn't notice it until the next day. 7th-I was getting horrible gas mileage and I took it to a shop, and they said that the fuel filter and spark plugs might have been original to the truck. 8th-Every time I hit a bump in the road, the steering wheel shook violently. I took it a shop, and they said that the tire rod ends needed to be replaced. 9th-When I was on the freeway, and I turned the steering wheel to the right. There was a loud humming sound, coming from the front of the vehicle. I took it to a shop, and they said the front passenger hub needed to be replaced. This was my experience buying a used overpriced car, from this dealership. It doesn't seem like they check the cars they're going to sell. They just buy them, and put the highest price they can and hope that some dumbo will buy it. I will never step foot in this dealership again. read more

Collision estimator Tosha put my vehicle in the shop and kept me updated every step of the way so that I knew what was going on with my vehicle. Everything went better than I expected. WORST experience ever with the most unprofessional staff I have ever dealt with! We took (DROVE) our 2014, lifted truck in on 5/22/19, to get a noise checked out. They did advise that if the problem had anything to do with the lift, they couldn't fix bc they do not fix anything to do with lifts.. ok, understood.. The appointment was set for 5:45, at 9pm an update was asked for & the response given was the sound seemed to be coming from the motor and the person who works on that, was gone for the day and the truck would be checked in the morning. Here we are, 5/23.. Called to check the status in the morning and was told they would let us know the problem either late morning or early afternoon. Received a phone call about 1pm, stating that they couldn't find the contact number but they were calling to let us know that in the process of ATTEMPTING to diagnose the truck, THEY went to move the truck to check it & THEY dropped the truck that caused the ball joint to break & the control arm to break off .. That we would need to get the vehicle towed because they aren't responsible, due to it "having to do with the lift." Mind you, the truck was driven there AND was driven by a guy who works there the evening it was taken in. NOTHING was broken, nothing was wrong with the truck.. other than the noise we took it in to get check for. Messages have been left for the service manager & I have yet to receive a call back from anyone regarding this issue. read more

I had my truck in on 11th for oil and fuel filter change. One week later a wrecker had to come get it because it would not crank. Diesel leak on the filter. It was found to be the water filter on the bottom of the fuel filter was stripped. This was fixed no charge. I have a delete program on my truck and these a--holes plugged up items that were unplugged for a reason. How stupid can you be. I will not go back there for anything. My advise is to find someone else to work on your vehicle. read more

I have taken my truck to Monument Chevrolet (where I bought it) for service on several occasions and it was always returned to me with grease on it somewhere (both interior and exterior). The last time there was a big greasy hand print on the hood. I started taking my truck to Norman Frede in Clear Lake and have had great service and no grease on the truck. Went by today to purchase a truck with my father in law and was greeted and told they sold the truck that was posted online . We looked around and happen to find another truck went inside and started to do the paperwork ..we informed the sales rep that we were gonna pay with a card for our down payment and he said that is ok and went on about getting the sale done and once sale was complete the manager instructed our sales rep it had to be cash or cashier check and that we could not drive truck home after all the completed paperwork and time we had been there we explained that we had told our sales rep we were paying with a card and the manager wasn't trying to hear it and said cash only and for me to voice my opinion on here that he's had the same issue with other ppl and that everyone has an opinion . .so here i am warning anybody that goes to purchase a vehicle here to take cash only because this dealer doesn't except credit card payment for down payment ...i would recommend for the sales reps at this dealer to instruct customers as soon as they get there that credit card payment for down payment is not accepted so they would not run into the same issue with other customers. .other than that had a pleasant sale with a sales rep named wafik .. read more

ATTENTION EVERYONE: I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know why I give Monument Chevrolet a FIVE STAR rating!! My husband and I recently bought a 2500 HD from Parkway Chevrolet in Tomball, Tx (WORST EXPERIENCE EVER), we purchased it on Saturday a week ago with no problem other than a few minor blemishes we agreed on them fixing. We made it home (Baytown) Saturday night with no problems, on Sunday as soon as we cranked it up the engine light came on! We returned the vehicle Monday morning for the engine light and the minor blemishes to be fixed. We were told we would have it back by Friday at the latest, well that didn't happen! We finally got to pick it up Monday night (yesterday) around 6. We once again made it home and what do you know first thing this morning the engine light was right back on within 2 miles going down the rd!!! So I immediately called Parkway Chevrolet at 9 when they opened to be told let me get my manager to call you right back.. That didn't happen so I was referred by a friend living here (we are not from here, just working here) to take it to MONUMENT CHEVROLET and let them look at it since it's still under factory warranty and any Chevrolet dealership could look at it. So now this is where the FIVE STARS comes in at!!! As anyone could only imagine how frustrated and mad I was by this point. I walked into their SERVICE DEPARTMENT and I was immediately greeted by a young guy named RICK. I went through my whole spill that I had been through with Parkway in Tomball and why I was there, he patiently listened to me till I was done. He immediately told me give him a second and let him get his manager that he was pretty sure they could help me!!! Within not even 2 mins I was greeted by a SWEET lady by the name of MICHELLE Seymour (customer experience manager), she said come go with her to her office and she would be glad to help me!! Once again bless her heart, she patiently listened to my whole spill along with my not so happy attitude LOL. She even took notes as I talked, once I was done she was so sweet and totally understood me and my not so good attitude and I must tell everyone she handled me well! She then told me let her get the main manager over service department which was KEITH Clower but for me not to worry they would gladly help me in resolving any issues with our truck and would do everything they could to do it under warranty so that I wouldn't have to pay my $100 extended warranty deductible, and then fight Parkway to reimburse me since they said they fixed it! Well now I'm here to tell y'all as soon as she introduced me to Mr Keith over the Service Dept. he immediately told me he had done put the diagnostic machine on my truck and told me the code that come back!!! Well guess what it was the SAME code/issue that Parkway just told us last night when we picked it up that they had fixed, go figure! Mr Keith assured me he would get right on it as well as get to the bottom of it and assured me it would be FIXED when I picked it up! He then told me he would call me with an update ASAP. Let me throw in right here from r everyone to keep in mind that we have to be in West Texas (10-12hrs away) by Thursday Morning and this truck is what we purchased to pull our 42ft RV(our home) so now you can imagine the urgency and TIGHT time schedule we on!!!! Within no time I received a call from Michelle with an update but not a final diagnosis just a nice simple UPDATE! Then about an hour and half later I went by there to take some paperwork to Michelle and she was promptly gotten for me as well as she took me to Keith for another UPDATE and guess what y'all HE HAD MY ANSWERS already! I was again assured by him that he would do his absolute best to have it ready by tomorrow afternoon due to it takes 12hrs just in labor, of course that's totally understandable. So now we are anxiously waiting for tomorrow afternoon! I just want everyone to know if you ever need service at a Chevrolet dealership that MONUMENT CHEVROLET IS WHERE TO GO!!!!!! If you guys love poor customer service, this is the ultimate spot for you. Upon arriving to the dealership, I had to locate a salesman, which is not the norm for a car lot. Then I even told him how hesitant I was in coming all the way out there because of the reviews I've read on the place. By the way, I'm taking these reviews seriously from now on. So the purchasing process was quite simple and easy. They're your best buds when you're buying from them. It's the process afterwards that's most important. I trade in cars quite often and if I get bad service, why would I go back to give them my business? The guy said I would get some parts under the warranty. So I said cool. I tried to make an appointment with service via phone, voicemail and email. Tried to get the salesman to help out. Nothing and nothing, two weeks later. I used to go to Monument Chevrolet for everything. Oil changes, body work, etc. They were my go to dealership, however after my last visit I will NEVER go back there again. I was told by an adjuster, Monument would pick up the days the rental car was not covered because they (Monument) was late fixing my car. That was a LIE! They gave my husband and I the run around for 2 months, absolutely ridiculous! They only gave me a partial reimbursement and it took my husband going up there in person to get an answer. Managers Lenny and Suzanne will never return voicemails or emails! We called again spoke to another manager regarding the situation, guess what he did.. NOTHING! He pretended to type up notes and never heard back from him either. My car took about 7 weeks to fix I never received updates and they changed our adjuster about 3 times. Monument lost a loyal customer over $120. We recently needed some body work done and went to Knapp Chevrolet Downtown instead. Please believe the reviews before choosing to go to this dealership! Communication is horrible and not to mention their customer service. I don't know why they even bother to reply to their reviews with, " We sincerely apologize, we would love to regain your trust". Scheduling the maintenance on my vehicle online was very easy. Monuments service department hours are great (7am to midnight) this makes it very easy to have your vehicle serviced even if you have a crazy schedule. Everyone was very nice and professional. The only negative comments I have are: 1.) When I got my vehicle back, the floor boards and door sill was very dirty from shop employee's shoes. I had just cleaned the inside of my vehicle and when I got it back there were dirty shoe marks even though they put paper down inside. I know shop floors can get dirty but I feel if after all work is done and they get a vehicle dirty they should clean it before returning it to the customer. 2.) This was my vehicles first scheduled oil change/maintenance. When I picked up my vehicle I received a printout showing the oil change, tire rotation and multipoint inspection was complete. But when I got into my vehicle there was a print out on my dash showing the battery was checked and is good, but the battery was low on charge. It gave some examples of what might be the problem like: -charging system -alternator belt -cables and connections -excessive power drains My question is why the maintenance advisor didn't mention any off this inside and why it was not fixed. I have only had this truck for 4 months and have not done anything crazy to it so it should be in perfect order. It just made me feel like I was set up for failure down the road. It would also be nice to know on the maintenance print out what the multipoint inspection consist of. read more

First yelp review ever but I felt that I must as a warning. Took the car in for what should be warranty work repair; $40-$50 part at parts store and maybe 30 minutes of labor according to GM service manual but since it was under warrant and on the way to my work I decided to take it in. They came back and tried to say it would cost $300 to repair and not under warranty. I told them that I knew it was under warranty and they tried to convince me that it was not. I had to go and get my own documentation from a friend of mine who is a gm mechanic across town and bring it to them when I picked up the car. They acted surprised and played dumb. Did not even apologize for "accidentally" trying to charge me $300 for something that should have been free. It literally says in the memo from GM that they have access to, replace the part and "the repairs will be made at no charge to the customer". I can understand shops trying to screw people on work that is not warrantied but trying to screw people on work that is supposed to be covered is a new low. Don't get bamboozled. read more

Paid cash for 2014 chevy sonic. was supposed to tint windows, wash and fill up tank prior to pick up. they had 5 days to do so before pick up. I got there.. none of those things were done. I had to bring car back to get windows tinted in a week, and waited for wash, fuel, and tags for 3 hours.. I have since then had required service.. that was even more dreadful, waited 6 hours to be told they needed to keep it and then an hour for a rental. Terrible service!. I have removed their sticker from bumper to assure no one knows where to receive terrible service. read more

I drove over 3 hours to go look at a vehicle. I did not even deal with the initial individual that I spoke to. He referred me to two of the managers that did not speak a word to me, not even hello. Then i was treated like how else can I put it "a DUMBA**"! This is the worst I have ever been treated at a dealership in over 20 years of purchasing vehicles. I was given a piece of paper with a price on it and said I would not do that. As Jason went through, i really liked the vehicle, so i endured the horrible customer service in hopes of closing on the vehicle. I had finally had enough of the run around and left to go to another dealership. I called and spoke to a sales representative a couple of hours later and asked if there was anything we could talk or try to work out for the vehicle. He told me that I should come back to see what else we could do. So I took the chance and drove from the other side of Houston to go back and try to work a deal. When i walked in, the original salesman i spoke to says I will take it to my boss but he will say no. (Then why have someone else tell me to come in if you are not even willing to adjust anything. I came up on my price i was willing to go, and was basically given a class on how they were only going to make $300 on the vehicle but unwilling to show me what they paid for the vehicle. I felt like i was just blatantly being lied to. I would not recommend this dealership to ANYONE. Absolutely awful. I will give one positive is that the gentleman helping me out was nice while treating me like a DUMBA**! I normally do not write reviews like this but felt the need. I really wish I would have read the review by Jason. i went through some of the same things. I would give negative stars if i could. Thanks and hope this helps you in your decision on you next purchase. I also hope the dealership reads this and makes some changes for the sake of the customers. read more

NEVER NEVER EVER go here unless you want to waste a lot of time and get completely taken for an idiot. I was told they could get the exact vehicle I was looking for, they quote me a price online, so I applied for GM Credit, and when I got in they sat me there in an office for what felt like an eternity going watching the salesman click around the computer and go in and out of his office many many times, only to return and tell me he can't get me the car I was quoted. Funny, later that day I actually stumbled across the SAME car (same VIN#), and I called that dealership and YES its still available. I don't even want a GM now. read more
