Horrible experience. The service manager JD and my technician ESTHER were completely inconsiderate. I brought my vehicle in for an issue with the O2 sensor which fuels the fuel so basically my car would start for MAYBE 10sec, And then turn off. While it was in the shop I requested an oil change and front end alignment as well. I called Esther and asked if my tire monitor system was under warranty because I had it repaired just a year before. She said it was warranted for 2 years but she would need to check with her manager. After 3 DAYS of asking ESTHER if she got ahold of her manager she told me that it's very hard to get ahold of them. I hung up with Esther and called the service department immediately and requested a manager and was immediately put through. Not even 5 minutes after I spoke to the manager she called me back and confirmed it was under warranty. So I went ahead with the repair. Couple days later she called and left a voicemail saying that another tire sensor went out and that is was not warranted so it was going to be around $250. I called back and questioned why there was a second sensor that went out while it was in your care and they said well we don't take the tires off to align it so there's no way it could be our issue. Okay, we'll, I'm still skeptical because I brought my car in with one sensor out and now there's two. Fast forward, I get a notification that my car is ready for pick up. So I go the following day to pick it up, although I never confirmed the 2nd sensor being installed, I said please have a manager call me and make sure that it wasn't your company's problem and it was in fact mine. Never got the call. Just a notice that my cars ready. Show up the next morning. Esther is busy so I ask another technician VERONICA, if this "second sensor" is covered. She reviews my file and says no it is not. So I question again, why did I have one sensor out when I brought it to the shop and now I have two sensors out while it was in your care? Veronica called the manager over; JD. He immediately comes up and says to me you told us that you agreed to the repairs and I have that on recording. I said no I called twice, let's go listen. My first voicemail I was at work so I just said yes repair the one sensor, BUT I called back within 30 seconds because I misheard the message and asked ESTHER again why I am being charged when the second sensor went out in your care. After the manager JD listened to the 2nd call recording where I blatantly said to ESTHER, " Please call me back after your manager checks out the repair so I can confirm it but I will probably do it just call me back with your manager" He looked right at me and said with a condescending smile, "Well you technically gave us the go" DID YOU JUST HEAR THE RECORDING? Obviously not. Had to fight him for the right solution and we got the one tire sensor refunded but MIND YOU I PAID $890.00 for all the other items, front tire sensor, alignment, oil change etc. JD said at the end before we left his office that he would personally not comp our deal if it was up to him but because of the company he did it. Complete trash. This employee needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY. JD will run monument into the ground. That type of attitude in a manager setting is completely unacceptable. I am a very honest and fair person and that reflected in our conversation between JD and I but if he doesn't get any discipline soon then your company will meet its demise. I plan on buying my new car from you... I will not if he is still working there. PLEASE ADVISE AND TAKE ACTION, SUSPENSION OR ANY MEANS NECESSARY. I do not write reviews, ever. This is no joke. Horrible place. My car only has 40,000 miles on it and the engine went out. They were "working" on my car for 4 months and when they said it was fixed, I picked it up and a hour later my engine went out again in the middle of the most dangerous freeway in Houston. I almost got into 4 accidents because I could get out of the middle of the freeway & worst I had my 4 month old son. So I was furious. I called them to report my vehicle and see about getting a reimbursement for the $200 towing fee I had to pay and the service advisor Nick was very freaking rude. Y'all need to fire that guy. If I had transportation that day I would've have pulled up that place and gave him some words. I filed a formal complaint on that dealership with GM corporate and I will never advise anyone to do business with them, totally dissatisfied. Learn professionalism Nick!!!!!!! read more

Had my truck serviced and tires rotated last Friday, my wife picked it up and when I got home I saw they let a center cap off of the wheel. So I called that day and explained the situation and the manager was suppose to call me on Monday. Well a week later and still no call so I decide to call them back, just to be told it was it was on there when it left so it's problem( I live 4 miles away) . It's one hell of a business where they obviously didn't do something correctly and the customer has to pay fo there error. Very disappointed in the way this was handled. Also I noticed all other center caps weren't put on correctly glad I saw that before that was my problem as well. read more

Disclaimer This review is about their telemarketing tactics. Never give them your real phone number to the sales department even when you purchase a car from them as they will consider it as permission the constantly bombard you will calls about their sales. I am still receiving calls from 713-580-1676 on a regular basis though I have not purchased a vehicle from them since 2008, or step foot at their dealership since 2008 when their night shift service department returned my vehicle claiming the work was done when it was not. read more

I don't see the point of making an appointment to have your vehicle serviced if they're not going to look at it at the time you reserved. The only reason they get a star is because I'm required by Yelp to bestow one on these cheating bastards. I was forced by my insurance company to take my car to this poor excuse for a dealership after an uninsured driver t-boned me on my way to work. Since I was single at the time they didn't repair my car properly and tried in vain to get me to pick it up several times when they had not repaired it correctly. They talked down to me calling me, "little lady" and telling me women don't know anything about cars, etc. They were cursed out repeatedly. Three months later out of disgust I took my car because every time I went they screwed it up more! NEVER, EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! read more

Oh, how the mighty have fallen! When I first started this review back in September, they got a nice little 5 star rating from me. Since then, their rating has gone down further and further as more light is shed on the situation. Earlier this week, I had the great fun of getting a flat. I go to change the tire. . .lo and behold, the spare in my trunk does not match the other four tires I currently have. When I took my car into the shop, I left it there with five matching tires. Since they'd forgotten to put the spare back in my trunk in the first place, I assumed that when they put it in there, that they'd put the correct one in. Yeah, that was dumb of me. While the rim is the same, the tire is obviously not even new! Since I'm on the verge of selling my car, I just don't care enough to get another tire to match. I think I'm even more bitter about my experience here because the awesome customer service by the insurance adjuster made it seem like the rest of the place would be just as competent. I'll never make that mistake again--and I can guarantee you that I'll never bring my car here again. read more

First, they told me I'd get a certain amount for my tradein. Then, they gave me half that amount. Then, they didn't let me know the car I was buying had electrical issues, such as a NON WORKING MIRROR. Then, my headlight cover fell off--not their fault. I took it back so it could be fixed. They gave me a loaner car--twenty or so years old, filthy inside, NO PLATES, and the fanbelts broke. When examined, a car guy told me they'd clearly been juryrigged before. Then, when I got my car back, the headlight cover came off again. Now I have one broken headlight, horrifically bad service, and I get phonecalls almost monthly trying to get me to refer people. (Although, apparently they fired the guy who actually sold me the car, cause a new guy, who seems nicer, is calling now.) This would, needless to say, be zero stars if it could. read more

I did not buy my Tahoe at Monument Chevy ... but I wish I did. I have used their after hours service department on two occasions in the past three years and I have been really impressed both times with the quick service. This is the only service department that I know of ... that is open till midnight. Them being open late prevents me from having to fight traffic to get there before they close and not having to burn any days off at work. Even though I bought the vehicle at another dealer the Chevy extended warranty was covered at this location without any issues. I should have read some of the reviews before I made such an awful decision to take my vehicle there. My 2015 tahoe had an ac leak, a brake safety recall and console latch that was bad. They kept it for over a week and didnt fix the brake issue. I had to return a couple of days later. When I returned to pick it up the front ac worked but soon noticed the the rear ac went out. The next day before we could return it to them to continue repairing the ac system, the transmission went entirely out without any warning or indicators. We had the vehicle towed back to them. In the process of charging me again for the exact same ac repair ($1200 condenser) only a few days later I realized they overcharged me almost 5 hours for the first repair. They assumed zero responsibility for the transmission catastrophically failing after they admitted to reprogramming the ebcm and clearing out a bunch of codes in the ecm. When asked what codes they cleared they told me they not only didn't know and advised they would not research it for me. It took them over a month to overcome the "hiccups" they reported having with the rear ac. They refused to give me credit for the gross overcharge discovered or reduce any of the charges due their numerous mistakes. Danny Barnett along with anyone who condones or participates in this manner at this this service department should have criminal charges filed against them. It appears that cheating, lying and outright stealing are common place and possibly encouraged. I am looking forward to seeing a vacant lot at this prime location very soon. My hope is the people that are responsible for reducing this once otherwise growing and thriving business into the ghost town full of crooks and thieves it has become gets a good taste of Karma. The robot that replies to these reviews will no doubt say they are looking into the matter, however we all know that if these reviews were important to them changes would have been implemented and the same negative reviews would not be so overwhelming and unending. read more

Would not recommend this dealership for collision repair. I took my car in there 2 weeks ago and did not get it back until 6 days later due to them not doing a good job. My car has scratches and needed to be fixed, and when I went to look at my car after they said it was done, I could still see the scratches and the paint had dried dripping, so I had dry dripped paint on my door. I also had money stashed in my ash tray (about $10), I left it in there thinking it would be there when I returned, and when I looked it was gone, and Gilbert (works for Monument Chevrolet) told me he would ask around, and never gave me a call back. Very horrible staff, and would never for here again for anything!!!!!! read more

Does yelp offer any negative stars?? Well for this place , they probably should . Words cannot express how pissed I am. Extremely angry and disappointed . I came all the way from Katy to Pasadena for nothing! Literally just drove out of this place. Here's my story- so Freddy (bdc Mng) calls me a millions times and leaves me plenty of messages, enough to keep me distracted for a week, to "earn" my business . So I finally call him back and set up an appointment so that I can see a tahoe they had . He says to ask the receptionist for mike or Wayne, who are the managers there. When I showed up today there was no receptionist and no one to greet me . I walked outside to see if I saw that tahoe . When I walked back inside some salesman asks for my name so I give it, he leaves goes into some office and then calls me in . The guy in the desk happens to be Wayne whom didn't really give me a second look. I told him about my call with Freddy and how I had an appointment to see that specific Tahoe. Then he says " I'm gonna have -sales mans name- help you"gives him a look which I'm guessing was our queue to leave his office. As we walk outside I show him the stock number to the car and he makes this "oh oh "gesture, walks inside and comes back a minute later and literally without a shame or care or professionalism in the world goes " oh yeah man we just delivered that car man, like 30 mins ago dude " . I couldn't believe it.. I walked inside into Wayne's office and said " I'm sorry boss man but I drove all the way here from Katy just so that I could be told that the Tahoe I was here for had already been sold ??" For which he replied while he switched his eyes on the sales man " which Tahoe is that" . I walk out while they were talking and didn't look back. And for the record - while Freddy and I were on the phone the night before he kept on putting me on hold as if communicating with his manager so that we would all be on the same page for my appointment" Those guys whom were " helping " me were unprofessional and careless . Didn't care since the moment that I showed my displeasure . I sensed it and walked away. Monument shouldn't be in business . read more

I made an appointment for an oil change to be done at 7:45 pm, and arrived at 7:05pm. I was told that since I actually had an appointment I was ahead of everyone who was there because most of the other customers were walk-ins, and It would be no more than an hour for my car to be ready. I was also told the same thing the last time I came in for an oil change with the evening service dept. (On that appointment, I waited for over 3 hours. That experience made me seriously reconsider coming back again due to the turn around time and being told my car was going to be ready in 20 minutes, but actually having to wait an additional hour.) I ended up at the dealership until almost 10:00 pm. Definitely more than an hour as promised earlier. Even with an appointment, I was the last person out of the service shop. It was as if I had been forgotten. The older woman at the front desk was also VERY unprofessional, caught an attitude with me when I asked (AFTER 2 HOURS) when I can expect my vehicle back. Her response was "I don't know", and she blew it off, and I asked her if she can at least check and see what is taking so long. She huffed and sighed as if I it was a huge demand, and looked at the computer, got on the speaker and announced in a VERY rude tone "(serviceman's name) YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER UP HERE WHO WANTS TO TALK TO YOU" . The serviceman came up a minute later and asked her who needed to speak to him, and she pointed at me and said "Her- she wants to know why y'all are taking so long with her car." There were about 6 other people who witnessed this as well. The service man told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited 30 more minutes until it was finally brought up front to me. There was an awful smell of cigarettes in the vehicle that took 2 days to remove after being aired out. I am a non smoker with severe asthma, so that issues caused me to have to resort to using my inhaler and taking a breathing treatment. I had an experience at Monument that was not good prior to this with the evening team, but gave the benefit of the doubt and decided to come back since I usually have GREAT experience with the daytime service team and Vladimir. I deeply regret making the decision to continue to be a loyal customer because it is apparent that the evening service team lacks professionalism, promptness and overall value of the customer. read more

I purchased a new truck in Austin Texas at Henna Chevy. I began to have front suspension problems, I work in Houston so I took my truck to monument for repairs. Monument told me Henna did not customize my truck well and I needed alignment to my front suspension. I agreed and paid for the service (the vehicle was under warranty). I got the truck back and the problem continued, I called monument back and was asked to bring back in. I was told the alignment was our of adjustment. I also pointed out that my tires have damaged and needing to be replaced. I suggested it was from bad alignment. The service department told me to contact Henna Chevy because they were the one who customized the suspension. I was having same issue after leaving monument and took the truck to Henna. I was told monument failed to properly align the front suspension and left important parts off after the repair. So, Monument is telling me Henna damaged my truck with poor craftsmanship and now Henna is telling me Monument damaged my truck when the left off important parts. Im stuck in the middle with a new truck in the shop. I have filed a complaint with GM, BBB and now yelp. I would strongly suggest, that if anyone is considering a chevy, don't do business with monument......poor service and worst customer service. read more

Horrid service! I called ahead of time to make an appointment. I was told on the phone that they could get me in the next day, no problem. Since it was my first time they gave me general directions on how to find their service department. I had to look for someone named "Julian." When I got there there was no attendant around and after waiting a bit someone finally came out. I told them who I was supposed to find and he just said, "Yeah, he's over there." That's it. When Julian finally came out he was incredibly rude, dismissive, and I still had to wait until he finally walked over to me. When he did he acted like I was inconveniencing him. He kept sighing and rolling his eyes and then told me he was "really busy" and come back. I told him I had an appointment (I told him as soon as I met) and he said fine, but that my car would take a couple of days, or weeks to get looked at. Weeks??? Since I had to live it overnight he asked if I wanted to do that. I said I would if it could be done in a day or so, like was promised to me on the phone. The issue didn't change. He didn't even look at the car to tell me why it would need to take longer. He asked if I had a ride and I said I would call someone to pick me up. He then just walked back into the building without a word. The desks have glass on the side so I could see him sit at his desk and literally just lean back and stare at me. I called a ride and then went to go into his office, but he shook his head, picked up the phone, and started talking to someone. Then another staff member came in and he proceeded to talk to them. He basically ignored me and another car attendant finally came out (after several minutes of me standing in the rain) and just said Julian was "busy". He took my car (I think it was the same guy I spoke to on the phone) and said it would only take a day. It did indeed take a day, and they fixed the problem. However, I found every other staff member incredibly rude. For instance, when I picked up my car the woman at the desk had no idea what I was talking about, despite me getting a call that it was ready. She then had me wait until someone brought the car around and I had to wait for that to even happen. Another woman apparently waited 20 minutes for her car. Some of the people bringing the cars around also zoomed by without concern that they were someone's vehicle! Overall, a horrible, terrible experience. I did get several calls from their "customer care" department. When I finally had time to take the call the woman asked me about the service and how the car was. I told her I had problems with the car but their service was terrible. She simply said, "oh my. Well, if you have an issue you can feel free to call us back" or something to that effect then exchanged goodbyes and hung up. When I tried calling a few times I never got an answer. Regardless, the damage was done. I will not be going back here. Ever. There's other Chevrolet dealerships in Houston and my suggestion is that you try one of those. I know I will! read more

He made the purchase process very easy. This is the first time in my experience of purchasing a new vehicle where I walked away feeling good about the transaction.
