an FYI to anyone who needs work on their vehicle; DO NOT GO TO CLEAR LAKE AUTO SERVICE located at 15710 Galveston Rd in Webster !! Clear Lake Auto Service TRIPLE J's AUTO REPAIR IS THE BEST! Saved me thousands of dollars and so much time and stress. Long story short, I brought my truck to Clear Lake Auto shop, and they quoted me $2600 for a problem that "might not work" and I would be "gambling" this money. The alternative was to replace my entire transmission, which was quoted around $5700 for a used one, or $7200 for an also used transmission. I never received a clear answer on what was going on with my vehicle. I was also initially quoted $330 to drop the transmission and go inside (including the 2 hours of labor) + $165 diagnostic fee. When I saw the total for that was closer to $800 versus the $500 I was originally quoted, I knew something wasn't right. When I called about this pricing, they changed it back to $500 with no questions asked. Due to the lack of trust from this shop, I towed my vehicle to Triple J's Auto Repair in Pasadena and received a quote in less than 24 hours for $1100 to fix my truck. They were so responsive and explained everything to me. Had my truck ready for me quickly and couldn't have asked for an easier process better people, and better shop. SO THANKFUL. I used Triple J for a Previous State Inspection and thought it was a good but just routine job as is. Last week my Car died on me and I remembered I used them before and gave them a call. They were able to put me in contact with a fast and affordable tow that got the car within the day. When I got to the shop and had the problem figured out, they made quick work of the matter. Before I picked it up , Justin called and asked if I wanted to do my state inspection and it would be done when I arrived and save some time. My vehicle was stuck on park I was unable to turn my car on & when I was able to turn it on I pulled up this mechanic shop. They have a $95 diagnostic fee but it is waived if you get it fixed there. It ended up being my sensors on my 2016 Mazda needed some fixing for a total of $245 with the diagnostic fee waived. A week later my car is running smooth. read more

This business is convenient for people who don't have a lot of time during the weekdays. Been needing my inspection to renew my registration sticker and this was the fastest service I've had yet. The gentleman was very polite and patient. Didn't have to wait outside the building, so I saved myself from the awful Texas heat and I said I will come get my car inspected here next year. read more

The a/c in my wife's Forerunner was blowing hot air. I took it to Pepboys and after waiting for over 2 weeks to get the part needed , they ordered the wrong part, so we waited another 4 days, we took the truck to another garage when they finally got the part. The mechanics at Pepboys couldn't believe the run around from the Manager (Richard) plus the fact that he was rude to my wife and told her if she didn't want to wait for the part, she could leave! We drove across the street after we found out they honored our Ext. Maintenance contract (Omega Auto Care). Thank God we found them. They were so considerate about our situation that we felt more then comfortable leaving the truck there for repair. Ethel Bell (service advisor) was so accomodating and went out of her way to help with the claim by making phone calls for us and monitoring the case over those 4 days, it was ready at the exact time she quoted us. I will recommend Triple J Automotive in Coral Springs, Florida to every I know who needs a trusting, helpful, compassionate mechanic that won't rip you off as Pepboys attempted to do. They also found my bad review and jumped on me about it by phone. I am a senior citizen, and I am not able to fight young strong people, so I was very scared that they might harm me, so I took my earlier review down. I bought a car from this shop after they had replaced the engine. Soon found out what shoddy work these people do. They actually cut both power steering lines (yes, the pressure line too) instead of disconnecting them properly, and spliced them back together using a piece of rubber hose and clamps. After 2 weeks driving the car, the pressure line separated at their splice. I was told that if it had happened in the first day or two that I had the car, they would have helped me. Now, though, I have to hire a wrecker to get it there... Found several other small problems too that should have been taken care of during the motor replacement, but were not. I did agree to an 'as is/no warranty' sale of the car, so I understand that they're 'not obligated' to help me here, but come on! Seeing what kind of work this shop puts out. I must recommend that everyone stay away from this place! read more

If you want to be treated with respect and dignity, don't go to this place. Jorge is always too "busy" to answer the phone or return messages. He quotes one price and completes work resulting in a HIGHER price. When questioned about it he'll belittle you and make you feel like you're the one in the wrong. read more
