First things first: THE place to go if you need aftermarket car care is Deer Park. I quickly learned after moving from Bellaire to Deer Park during my high school years that cars are their lives. Thank goodness I grew up with a father who took it as his personal mission in life to repair any vehicle that we owned, and, if I wanted to spend time with him, I learned to work on cars in order to do that. I would have NEVER found a way to pseudo-assimilate had I not known about cars. We have now clearly established that the people of Deer Park take auto-care to a completely different level! ONTO THE REVIEW! A few years ago when we got into a fender bender that bent a good deal more than the fender of our Honda Accord Coupe there was no doubt in my mind as to where I was going to take our car to be repaired. Deer Park. We found Welsh Collision through the BBB. I called some of my friends that I had gone to DPHS (long, long ago) with and asked what they knew about Welsh. I was either answered with - "I don't know" to "Ooooh, they're good." Knowing that "I don't know" is actually a good review in Deer Park (think: no news is good news). I took our car by there and got a quote that I thought was more than reasonable, but I went ahead and shopped around just for comparison. That ended up being a complete waste of time as Welsh was anywhere from 30-65% LESS than most of their competitors. So, I dropped our Accord off, and the owner, Brad Welsh, even gave me a ride back home to League City - not a short drive. Talk about taking customer service seriously! They did such a perfectly seamless job on our Honda that when someone backed into the front end at the Bay Area Park and Ride... we went back to Welsh. Again, perfectly seamless. There is no way to tell that body work has ever been done to this car. Now, we traded our Nissan Rogue for a Mazda 6 and purchased the separate policy on the tires and rims. Yeah. Really. Being that the tires run about 240 a piece and the rims are low profile 19's, the extra policy was a no brainer. If you live in the Houston Metro, then, you know about the potholes. So, when I had an incident w/ a pothole and subsequently w/ a curb and scratched the heck out our rims, I went home and dialed up Brad @ Welsh. His quote for the rim repair... AGAIN... 50 - 70% less than competitors. I'm NOT exaggerating. So, I took our 6 over there, and 24 hrs later... we had pretty, shiny, scratch-free, seamlessly repaired rims! I can't say enough great things about Brad Welsh and his business. His employees take their work with just as much integrity as Brad does with his business. His office personnel even called and faxed all the info over to our insurance carrier for the rim repair so that we wouldn't have to. Welsh Collision Center has my business for life. read more

Should have posted this, actually should have posted it 3 times. I had a crease type dent in the side of my pickup bed, (son in law borrow) and though wasn't bad it was one of those "I hate it every time I see it" dents. So took it by Welsh, on Sens Rd. La Porte, about 2 years ago. They gave me an estimate though they only work on big trucks there and told me Lindsay would work with me in Deer Park. I waited about a year before I went by and talked to Lindsay, showed her the year old estimate and she went with it. Fantastic job!!! About 3 months later my other car was rear ended, of course by an "honest college UNINSURED (with an insurance card that he paid one month of insurance just to get the card) male, and I took it to Welsh and Lindsay handled it as well. Did another fantastic job. Years ago I used Welsh repair on Red Bluff on several of my cars. They are truly a great family of automotive experts. Oh and I have an appointment to take my pickup in to have the passenger side power and heated mirror replaced and the latches on my pickup tailgate. Though not cheap the cost is less than half of what the Ram Dealer quoted. read more

This place has exceeded my expectations. I had read the reviews on Yelp and Google and I was a bit skeptical at first. Now that my truck is back up and running, I have to say I am quite pleased with the entire experience. There were some delays because of my insurance company, but all in all, Welsh Collision did a fantastic job on my truck and kept me up to date on everything that was going on. Constant phone calls and voice mails when I couldn't get to the phone, are all major indicators of a business that is doing things right. They even washed and vacuumed my vehicle. A1 service! I hardly ever write reviews but this company needed it. A lady rear ended me and wanted to pay out of her pocket. I did a Google search for body shops in the area. I found Welsh and went there for an estimate. About 2 weeks later the lady that hit me paid for the repairs. I took my car in on Monday and Friday afternoon the car was ready. They even called on Wednesday to let me know things were going good. I can not tell where the damage was on the car. They did an amazing job and cleaned my car inside and out before I picked it up. AVOID this place. Went there to get a quote and they claimed their system was down and would be back up in an hour. Called them after two hours and their system was still down but they said they would email me a quote. The next day I called to follow-up (they should have called if they were courteous and needed business) and they said their system was down and would be up in an hour. It has been several days since that conversation and I still have yet to hear from them. read more

I have a 1974 Nova Custom that Brad and his crew went over fixing all the small and large rust areas. They had to put 2 new 1/4 panels on the car and rebuild the hatch hinges. The body and paint work is some of the best I have seen in Houston area. read more
