There today for breakfast. Have been going here since 1978. It was great to be back here in the neighborhood today after two years. We live in RI. Another memorable breakfast! I had the Pancake deluxe for $11.50. Comes with two jumbo eggs, at least ten strips of bacon and 3 very large pancakes. Sooo good! My wife had the two eggs with bacon and cheese on a wrap. Possibly the least customer friendly diner I've ever been to. We ordered breakfast including tomato juice and asked for a lemon. We were told that lemons were reserved for customers buying alcoholic drinks and would have to either order a cocktail or pay extra for a slice of lemon. This is a solid neighborhood diner. There are always parking spots and tables because this place is huge. The food is not spectacular (except for the challah bread french toast, which is great) but almost every dish is average or good for a neighborhood diner. Service is friendly. I have been going to MT. Olympus Diner since a little before 2002. The food is Fresh, well prepared, a huge selection, & exceptionally large portions. All their pastry & cake is baked on premises. The prime rib is excellent. Their Veal Chops are huge. They have a full liquor menu. The extra plus is a Huge parking area. They are fully Handicapped accessible. They feature a huge dining area, a smaller side dining area, And private party areas. The prices are moderate, It is definitely family oriented & good for children. They even have a children's menu. Warning if you order a full dinner, you will need a Doggy Bag. Be prepared to bring home leftovers. The staff is experienced, professional, & quite warm & friendly. They also cater to seniors. Fellow suburbanites and starving denizens with thin wallets, lend me your ears. Screw it, I'm doing it wrong - this is a Greek diner, not a roman one (And I'm pulling off cliches; how unusual). On with the review off this shining diner atop a hill overlooking the bleak capitalist route of central avenue. This restaurant, which has existed on a hill in between a residential neighborhood and a car wash, has served people from close by and wanderers from afar for several eons. Food is in abundance here, with sweetmeats displayed proudly and menus completely riddled with enough varieties to complicate the matrix. Soups, salads with the averagely flavored dressing, platters with chicken, burgers, pastas, burgers, seafood meals, paninis, and Mexican food are all ready to be eaten. It's all cheaply priced, averagely made, but served up to you with a grin from the gods. Did I also mention this place makes breakfast as long as it is open (I can recall they close around 2AM and open up a few hours later). Yes, breakfast. Pancakes, pancakes with fruit on it, pancakes with whipped cream, pancakes at midnight, pancakes for brunch, pancakes with chocolate chips, pancakes with sausages, or just sausages by itself. The breakfast is superbly tasteful and just right for any hungry individual. Go here for breakfast and you won't be shoved against the wall by a crowd. All the ubiquity is within the rampant noise of other diners and the number of televisions blaring gambling screens. Your typical greek/american diner with a huge menu. They offer a great selection of items and their prices are pretty decent. I actually like their pasta dishes and of course their yummy appetizers. This diner is really on a hill with plenty of parking near all the shopping centers. The minute you walk in you are greeted and taken to your seat. The place is your typical Greek diner set up serving wonderful breakfast all day long among other things. I had a greek omelet and that automatically comes with home fries and toast. I also shared a freshly made short stack. Fresh Coffee brewed on premise and servers walk around making sure you have plenty of it always asking "would you like more coffee"...Yes, please fill it up!!...overall this place is exactly what i wanted at 1pm on a Sunday. Awful. Just got an order from this place that's supposed to close at 1 AM and it's 11:28 and it's closed. No sign or anything, had to go around and check out different entrances until an old white men rudely told me they were closed. Mind you, there's a lot of people probably going through the same situation, trying to work and make money they need with DoorDash and this stupid diner receives the orders, make us drive all the way to them and then tell us it's closed. I don't see this business lasting very long, especially with these reviews. read more

My dad & stepmom love this place and eat here regularly- they took me and Mister here last weekend. The place is HUGE. Mister was impressed at the size of the palce and the menu- lots of food to choose from. I couldn't decide on anything and wasn't that hungry (we'd wolfed down slices from Tasty III not three hours before), so I decided to go exotic...Moussaka! What's Moussaka? I'm still not sure. It was yummy, like an eggplant and meat lasagna with potato in lieu of pasta. It was REALLY filling. Mister opted for Lamb Shish Kabob and was a little disapointed because the waiter wasn't clear on whether he could get a Greek salad, too. We were ALL stuffed and rolled out of there. I feel like I'm just copying every other post: Typical Greek-ish diner. Don't stray too far into the specials and dinner menu. Finger foods rule, breakfast is great as well. I would give it a 3 stars, but service is ok - but food service is ridiculous. My food comes out amazingly fast, every time. I've been coming here for years, and also going to their (now closed) sister diner "The Mont", aka Mont Parnasse. PS. Chicken Souvlaki is ginormous here, and pretty tasty. read more

As others have said, it is average. In fact, it is the very definition of average. Not horrible, not memorable, either. And likely not worth a revisit. I went during a weekday for lunch because I was looking for something new, having become bored out of my skull with lunch at home (in between jobs at the time). I always appreciate a good diner, and decided to give this one a try. First, it was much more crowded than I expected, mostly senior citizens whom I assume are very much regulars. Okay, a somewhat good sign. When the waitress came up, I immediately got the "let's get on with it" vibe from her, so I knew what I wanted: simple hamburger and fries. I wait for what seemed like longer than I should have for my water and soda. Finally comes around the time my food does. The burger is... average. Greasy, but colorless as if the meat was boiled first. Not medium, which is what I ordered. Topped with a nearly-white piece of iceberg lettuce and a mealy slice of tomato. Frankly, the tomato had more flavor than the burger... Fries were cold/old, as if the oil hadn't been changed in about a week. During my very average meal not once did the waitress stop by to see if everything was okay. When I got the bill, the price wasn't so average. Overpriced really, and confirmed that this wasn't really a great value in terms of food quality, service or convenience. read more

Tried Mont Olympus diner for breakfast this morning and it met our needs but didn't exceed them. We found it to be a little more expensive than other diners in the area we have been to and the quality of the food was about the same. We probably wouldn't go out of our way to come back, but we wouldn't steer anyone away from it either. it works! The challah bread french toast was good, but we've had better... it would have been great if there was a cinnamon swirl in it or something. Adding fresh strawberries to it was a must to counteract the dense eggyness. read more

We were there one Friday evening after shopping - it was late, we were tired and it was either this or the Uno Grill place: everything else in the area looked dingy and unappealing. It was pretty good, though fairly unremarkable. Clean, child friendly, decent food (except for the hashbrowns - horrible). The desserts looked very good but our portions were so big we didn't get any desserts. I had the mushroom-chicken quesadillas, which were very good and served with guacamole and a salad. My husband and daughter had egg-based breakfast dishes. It was ok. Might go back if we find ourselves in the area and starving, but probably we won't feel the need to go to the diner otherwise. read more

OK food. The most unfriendly staff of people, including the owner that you could ever meet. The waitress walked away from my table mid sentence to answer another tables question - was very rude and nasty about it. She kept forgetting orders and the food was just average. Also the owner walking around the diner, was nasty and demeaning. Told my friend that she is wasting her time going to Westchester community college and another friend that being an art major is going to get her nowhere in life. Is that the way staff is supposed to engage in conversation with their customers? I think not. The food is overpriced here but decent which is why I gave it two stars. However, the service alone is such a turn off because of their rude personalities. However - if you are going here I recommend trying the cheesecake and engaging the least amount of conversation possible with the people that work here. read more

Been to this diner several times. Went for lunch at Fort Hill Diner, May 21, 2021. The waiter was the most disgusting, rude, nasty ever. He has little patience, waited long for the sandwich, wanted potato salad instead of cole slaw and would not give it to me. Asked for more pickles, he brought it 20 minutes later. Fast forward to today, May 27, 2021. Had the same waiter again and was the nastiest ever. Asked for more pickles and he wanted to charge me for more pickles, went to the owner told him, then the waiter comes back with just one pickle for myself, even though I was with my mom. Was my mother's birthday, and I went to the waiter asking for a birthday dessert, and he never brought the birthday slice, and I did not leave a tip. Told the owner, waiter was terrible, nasty and never brought the birthday cake slice. I also told the owner I will never come back and I will give the diner a negative review. read more

Regardless of that, I decided to order food to go (due to convenience) and they barely got one item correct on my order. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad with dressing on the side and I get a salad soaked with caesar dressing and very soggy. Why specify details about food items when it's not relayed to the kitchen staff? They also decided to leave the side of gravy for my fries out of the order yet they included 2 large and very unnecessary containers of coleslaw, for what? Fries were very dry. I've lived down the street from this place for many years and so I've had the pleasure of trying nearly everything on the menu during my late night feeding habits. Keep in mind: this place is not a steak house. With that being said, I wouldn't expect to receive great steak dishes and other fancy types of dishes of this nature from this diner. The service was ok. Not as attentive as you would like and quick to leave after they feel they got the information they need. I had a grilled chicken deluxe with bacon. The food was undercooked. French fries were not completely fried. Bacon was soft and not cooked all the way through. The toasted bread was soggy and came apart as you ate the sandwich. Every time I order I am very clear about what I am ordering so that they will not get it wrong but they still do. It's not brain surgery it's food service. Good Greek diner in Northeast Yonkers. While the food here is very good I feel it is overpriced. This place gets very busy on weekends for breakfast.
