Easily the best decaf iced coffee I've ever had at a diner! I hadn't been here in almost 9 years, as I live farther away now. I'm sad to see that they're no longer a 24-hour spot, but I am happy to report that the food is still just as good as I remember it. We stopped in for breakfast on a beautiful Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. I found the place to be well populated but not crowded - and most importantly well-staffed! They apparently pared-down their breakfast menu to a small little 2 page thing, but were still able to make exactly what we wanted. I ordered the challah bread french toast Deluxe which comes with two eggs and bacon or sausage. They even take care to ask how well done you want your bacon. WIN! My girlfriend loved her chocolate chip pancakes with bacon. Our waitress Tina was awesome, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. A great experience! read more

We've been coming here over 30 years. Pretty standard diner fare. Yesterday we stopped in for a quick lunch. More $ than fast food, but here's what we liked. Coffee was pretty good. Portions were ok. My husband had a Mt Olympus burger, and he was impressed. Cooked perfect medium rare. Juicy. Bacon done just right. He's not easy to please, and he liked that burger! Service was fast. Worst diner in Westchester. I ordered a panini and they slapped the meat on a roll and it was cold, au jus was cold too. French toast came out cold. My husband had to send it back. Haven't been here in many years, but in the past few months I've been there several times just for breakfast and I must say that their breakfast is atrocious. The home fries are inedible, tasteless and not even cooked thoroughly. If a huge, famous diner like this one can't get home fries right, well then that tells me a lot. The bacon here is always fatty and never cooked right. Only their eggs and toast taste sort of good but even then they either don't cook the eggs well enough or they burn the eggs. I went there again today with my daughter and she nearly chocked on the bacon. It was cooked so poorly- one end of it was burnt and the other end was still moving. Their sausage was all grease. The only reason why I bumped this place up to 2 stars is because of the very large parking lot and plenty of seating inside. They also appear to be pretty clean. The service is a little on the slow end. I should not have to wait almost ten minutes for a server to come take my order on a Tuesday morning. Most of the patrons are old retired folk anyway who have the time to kill. If I ever go there again (it would only be out of sheer desperation cause there's no way I will go out of my way to go there again) I will try their lunch items instead, cause their breakfast is an abomination. Mount Olympus Diner is owned by an arrogant man. He is rude and nasty and has no customer service skills. He was belligerent and not willing to listen to what our party of 12 people had to say. We tried to order ahead to avoid beiNG rushed. He refused to allow us to order. When we arrived the room was hot. when we finally ordered it took us 45 minutes to get our beverages. We ordered immediately and let the waiter know that we only had 50 minutes. The food was cold and we had to take it to go. We have frequented this diner for years on our lunch hour and we're never ever mistreated by the previous owner. The owner would not even listen to us and motioned to us to leave and stated that he wasn't listening to us. Honestly, there are many nicer diners with friendlier owners. Center Plaza diner blows Mount Olympus away. The owners and wait staff are courteous, obliging and pleasant. If you are looking for a diner steer clear of Mount Olympus. No one should ever be treated the way we were and for the owner not to even listen and tell us he didn't want to hear it goes to show you that he will not be in business long. read more

I love a good diner breakfast and I was so in the mood for one today. Strange that this was a mix of good and bad. On the good side the potatoes had a nice layer of well done ones on top and I didn't even have to ask for this like I usually do. And the "diner toasted bagel," was just perfect (it's different from a great bagel store bagel). Unfortunately with all this good, the bacon omelette was very dry and a little cold. So it's Christmas morning at 10am and regular diner was closed. Figured I'd give this place a try. I get it, second string holding it down on Christmas morning but this was a terrible performance at MOs. I'd been here before and had two eggs, Canadian bacon and Rye toast. No complaints. Today was different for sure. I generally lift up food spots but the person running this place should read this. Here we go: Waited almost 10 minutes before being served. This NEVER is an issue for me when the food is solid to spectacular. Pancakes with whip cream. I ordered them on the side. Was able to talk the 5 year old into the different presentation. No big deal. He finds a hair. Convinced it was his (too long for his own) and insists on eating it. I give in. Should have sent it back as I pan to my Eggs Benedict with Nova Scotia Lox. First, Poached eggs have thickened yokes, not hardened. Strike two. Lox is a fillet of brined salmon. It generally a has a smooth, silky texture and, if preserved using very fresh fish, will have a bright orange color. What I got was a dull colored, baked salmon, bones and all on a soggy, humid English muffin. Probably from the baked salmon slapped on top. I really like lox. I really dislike salmon prepared just about any other way. They hold different flavor profiles. Strike three. Hair nets are an easy fix. All that was wrong with the Eggs Benny, a whole other level of food prep and culinary redirect I'm not confident will be undertaken. Left in a hurry with most of my dish on the plate. Good service, waitress saw I was trying to finish my coffee before leaving(was with 2 kids) and offered to give me a to go cup and topped it off. Food came out quick and waitress was nice Cons: Food was pretty blah. My son got a waffle and he is 2 so he didn't care but it wasn't very good. I got bacon and eggs and it was very underwhelming. It was 8:00am on a saturday, should be a busy time, and the bacon tasted/looked like it had sat on the flattop grill for hours. Was dried out but not crispy. Standard diner fare; standard service, standard comfort food --- something for everyone (with a 10-page menu that you need upper body strength to lift, LOL). Went couple of weeks before for breakfast, o was very disappointed, tasteless omelet and everything was cold except for the coffee. The so called butter they serve is nothing but whipped margarine . Never order pastries from here. They serve old, stale food. I went in for a late breakfast and ordered a corn muffin. It was inedible. Dry and stale. My wife ordered a linzer tart and it was even worse. When we sent it back, the waiter told me that the bakery was closed today, but the pastries couldn't be more than a day old. Those pastries did not taste just a day old. He took it off the bill, but I still wouldn't try them again. Stick to the eggs. read more

I had a great experience at this diner. Service was good and the food was tasty. I had scrambled eggs and thought they were delicious. My friends that joined me also had eggs, which they loved. We finished the meal with creamy milkshakes, so yummy. It wasn't the best diner I have ever been to, but I think it deserves better credit than some of the reviews on here. It was a perfect spot to grab some quick and easy breakfast. We have no bad things to say about the Mont Olympos Diner and we hope to return for another breakfast hangout soon. read more

Beautiful! I absolutely loving coming here when I'm With my grandparents. I get different virals each time I come here. I recommend getting the pancakes or the waffle with fruit. Today I got the short stack of pancakes with two over easy eggs. The pancakes were perfect. And the eggs- WOW! They eggs were gooey and not hard, just the way I liked them. We had gotten our favorite waitress, BJ. She is always smiling and is very positive! I recommend when coming here, to ask for BJ. This food is to die for! read more

Stop!!!! I'll save you some time reading... just skip this place. Although I've had some decent meals, not good just decent, there isn't enough convenience to the location to justify the lazy, indifferent servers, the bland overcooked food or lack of value for what you receive. Had dinner there last night, yes.. I knew better but it was convenient, and was charged for 2 sodas even though we only ordered one. To boot, the dinner came with a beverage as written on the menu, as well as a dessert which we weren't offered. When I paid the bill I informed the manager that I was charged for the two drinks even though one of us had water, let him know there service was extremely poor and that the meal was not very tasty. He said, take a dessert.. Anything you want from the case. Take. Take. I repeatedly politely declined. OK, I appreciate the offer, but to pay an addition $6 for drinks that not only we didn't have but were supposed to be included just wasn't OK. Crossed off the list. There were a few mistakes - some people got the wrong food, wrong toast, and an item was added to one person's bill, but all was quickly fixed. Food was ok. Not spectacular, just ok. It's a diner, and not an outstanding diner, but they do have room for large groups and that's what we needed. Service was good since they did address all the issues. My friend and I were seated promptly and ordered 2 sandwiches with sides of fries, mine with brown gravy on the side. I asked about their Bagel selection, was told "only plain". Whatever. The sandwiches arrived quickly with 4 steak fries on each of our plates. Whoa... not so fast! "What's this?" We inquired of the waiter as we pointed at the fat quartet of spuds on our plates. If I could give this place negative stars I would. The food is very disgusting and old tasting. I got something very simple, grilled chicken wrap and French fries. I should of known it was going to be bad cause when she gave me my plate, she looked like she was hesitant on giving it to me...that was very weird. The chicken in my wrap was tasteless and my French fries were so greasy. The waitress noticed I didn't like it and took it back and off the tab, which was very nice. So the manager comes up to me and say " you didn't like it?" And I say no not really, then he goes, "was the chicken dry?"...
