While we were there our guide showed up and introduced himself. He asked if we had any previous experience and talked about various locations, their conditions and where he thought we could go fish. Since our casting is far from professional and current conditions of the rivers were high and fast, we opted for a lake. We came with rods, waders, boots, snacks, but I left my reels in my truck at the store! Thank god , Brad (our guide had back ups! He got us all set up and we set out, talking about the conditions and what to expect. ( like rattlesnakes) what your step! It was a very educational experience, and we all caught some nice trout! If your in Cody and like to fly fish go see Brad, he'll make a better fly fisherman/woman.

Our guide, Jorge, was calm, friendly, and went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. He even accommodating a child rider with him. Along the way, he pointed out animals, gave riding tips, took great pictures, and tailored the route to match our group's abilities while keeping it exciting. The ride lasted about two hours and took us through beautiful terrain. The equipment was in good condition, and every rider had a great time. I would definitely recommend this adventure and would happily do it again!"

This visitor center is located at thr Buffalo Bill Dam. Inside they have books and brochures about…read morethe dam and it's history. There is a cubby that has seating. There you watch a 20 minute video showing the history of the building of the dam. It also gives you access to the catwalk that spans the top of the dam itself.

We had spent the day in Yellowstone, and we were headed to Cody for our hotel. I had read about the…read moredam online and wanted to make a stop. When you pull into the parking lot, they have a volunteer that picks you up in a golf cart to shuttle you to the front door. The day that we were there, a storm was moving in, and the winds were gusting something fierce! We really appreciated the ride to the center. Once inside, there is a very informative video that you can watch that explains all the trials and tribulations that they went through to build this dam. It's a very incredible story and worth the watch. You can then walk out on the top of the dam and look over both sides. As I said, the day we were there, it was super windy, so we were half afraid we were going to be blown over the top! But it was a very cool stop, and I'm glad we did it. Definitely make the stop if you're in the area!

Also had an issue with our truck and had to repair the front bearings,so they accommodated another night on July 1st for us. I can't give a higher review to a motel on our 16 day road trip. This was our 4th time staying there and it was even better. Right next to 1800s town!!! Walked to the rodeo!!! And amazing views and polite staff!!!

We left deciding we'd go with a different place next time. Due to the lack of direction both with maps and how to wash the UTV after etc. We really wanted to see Cody, wy. From the off beaten path. But if you get lost in the summer you'll run into a lot of oil rigs and dried up lakes. Definitely needs a paper back map, signal on their iPads are not effective enough for the area. Also wanna note during covid-19, I saw no sanitizing going on, not to say they don't. But my kids just grabbed a helmet off the tack wall. They had no signs posted on precautions their taking during this time. Just a lot of hit and misses.
