The wranglers are unprofessional, know-nothing, high school kids and have no idea what they're doing, either. No greeting when we got there, no nothing. Bob also INSISTED that we tip after the trail ride (we didn't) and I couldn't believe the audacity this old fart has. The trail is steep and dangerous - NOT FOR BEGINNERS - and the horses have no shelter from the hot sun and are tied up all day. Not even watered between trail rides (got there right as prior group came back and the horses were either used right away again or tied back up). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Along the way, he pointed out animals, gave riding tips, took great pictures, and tailored the route to match our group's abilities while keeping it exciting. The ride lasted about two hours and took us through beautiful terrain. The equipment was in good condition, and every rider had a great time. He knows what flies to use when and in what places. He doesn't hold back and has a great time giving out-of-towners tips on how to be successful in this beautiful place. Mike also has great pointers on how to stay safe. While we were in his shop he was telling an out-of-town couple about how to be safe when in bear country. He knows Cody well too. He told them where to find good bear mace and us where to get fishing licenses. My father-in-law (who owns a cabin in Wapiti, about 30 miles outside of Cody) told my husband that the other fly shop in town doesn't do as good of a job helping people to be successful. He says he loves The Humble Fly and after our first trip there meeting Mike and his super friendly borgi (Border Collie/Corgi mix) named Ike, we both do too!

One of the ducky boats our group rented ripped at the beginning of the ride. Not sure why it happened because we were following the guide. When we asked if we could get a refund for the two people who were in the ripped ducky, since they weren't all able to enjoy the ride and only got through 5 min of it, we were told no and that if anything we should be paying for the damage. I don't think that was fair of the owner to say something like that and to not even offer a refund or another ride.

8 of us went on this rafting trip, It all went well until on the very first rapids one of the ducky…read moreboats ripped (not their fault because we were all following the guide) and they started sinking! We notified the guide and he just said for them to pull off and get out on the trail and kept going, he didn't stop or anything to make sure they at least got out safely. We kept going assuming they'd get out and get to the van but it had already left, and they had to walk barefoot dragging the boat to the top. I couldn't even enjoy most of the ride worried for my friends. When we finally got out of the water and found the girls, Mike (I assume the owner) didn't even see if they were ok but was pissed and made a comment about how they just ruined a $3000 boat. Again it wasn't their fault that it ripped and on top of that they had to sit out by the road without their shoes phones or anything (we left everything in the van) for 2 hours while we were rafting. When we went to ask if they could get a refund because they absolutely did not get the experience they paid for and Mike told us That not only will we not get a refund but we may have to pay for the boat that ripped, very unprofessional, very upset with this experience! The ride itself went great and had it not been for this experience with the owner it would've been 5 stars for me
